    Margaritaville Key West Wedding

    We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect destination wedding experience! From the very beginning, working with Kaitlyn was exceptional. She was incredibly easy to work with, always responsive, organized, and completely fluid in how she handled every detail. She made the entire planning process feel effortless, and on the wedding day itself, she and her team executed everything flawlessly. It truly felt like she went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect in every way.

    The entire staff at the resort deserves just as much recognition. Every single employee we encountered was warm, welcoming, courteous, and genuinely kind. They made not only us, but all our guests feel completely at home and, at times, truly like royalty. That level of hospitality is rare and did not go unnoticed.
    Every one of our guests would give the exact same review of this resort and had the same positive experience. Working with Claudia to book the room block was a dream. She made the process simple and was willing to accommodate all our guests and their specific needs.

    Another huge highlight was the quality of the food on this resort both in the restaurant and at our wedding. Cocktail hour was phenomenal; our guests tore it up! The seafood platter add-on that we chose was beautifully displayed and incredibly fresh. We chose plated meal options of chicken and filet; both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing leaving our guests still raving about the food.

    The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking! The grounds were beautifully maintained, with impeccable landscaping that created the perfect backdrop for every moment of our day and photographs. The resort offered a unique Tiki Hut reception space and was hands down one of our favorite parts of the venue. It brought the true island spirit to life and gave our wedding that authentic tropical feel we dreamed of. Dancing the night away under the thatched roof with the warm breeze and palm trees surrounding us felt magical. It was the perfect setting for a Key West wedding, and it’s not something you can easily find anywhere else.

    For anyone searching for the perfect wedding venue, look no further than Margaritaville Key West Resort. The setting, service, and overall experience were beyond exceptional, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our love!

    Absolutely Amazing Wedding Experience

    We had the BEST experience with Margaritaville Beach House in Key West. From the start, the staff was warm, helpful, and made us feel so special. Claudia (reservations) was incredible—always quick to respond and even left welcome gifts in our room. Stevo at the front desk/driver was always friendly and ready to help with anything.

    Our wedding team was phenomenal. Erika, our event coordinator, kept everything organized, calm, and running smoothly. Roman took amazing care of us in the bridal suite all day, always checking in with a smile. We also loved working with Inna, Alex, and Aleah during the reception—they were attentive, professional, and so sweet.

    We couldn’t be happier with our choice. Margaritaville Beach House made our wedding day unforgettable!

    Our perfect wedding

    We had our reception at Margaritaville and the wedding across the street on Smathers Beach all coordinated through Margaritaville. They had a couple mishaps but Erika resolved them within 20 minutes!
    It was great to work with Erika, Roman, Levani, Nino, Kenya and Alex what a wonderful team. Thank you guys for everything!!

    The perfect destination wedding location!

    Being from the Philadelphia area and planning a wedding in Key West, I had to put a lot of trust in the Margaritaville Resort, and especially the event planner Erika, and it definitely paid off! The wedding turned out better than I even imagined, the whole staff was incredibly supportive and accommodating with every aspect of the event. Erika was able to work with me and create the perfect event within my budget. Say Yes in Key West created a beautiful ceremony and reception space for us, and even added accommodations to help with getting around better with disabilities.

    Overall I would definitely recommend anyone looking to host a wedding or event to reach out to this amazing team and resort!

    Perfect Destination Wedding!

    We had our wedding here in January 2025 and it was the PERFECT place to have it. Everything was amazing- the venue, the food, the amenities, and the staff. Erika especially was extremely helpful setting all of the details in place and ensuring our day was perfect. She was with us the whole time to see it through. It was affordable for a destination wedding as well, and they offer a variety of wedding packages to make it really easy. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married, or even for a stay!

    Spectacular

    We went to get married!!! Our experience was top notch. From the moment we came in Erika, Pablo, Brie and Angie were welcoming, and attentive throughout our entire stay.     Key West Wedding Adventure

    First I would like to say we had a blast at the Margaritaville Beach House Resort. Great ocean front King Room. The whole staff was excellent and a special thanks to Chris at front desk, Pablo at Services and Ramon for taking great care of us at the dinning restaurant. Also kudos to the cleaning staff who maintained our room daily and kept everything clean and fresh. Now for Erica who worked to ensure that all arrangements were made for a great beachfront wedding. Her vendors were all superb and professional. What a great and wonderful experience. Thank you all for your time and fun. We will see you all on our next trip to the Keys.

    Smather’s Beach Wedding

    Erika Gaus the wedding planner was fantastic from start to finish. Our wedding was better than anticipated. Really good customer service at the hotel. Chris at the front desk went above and beyond on a daily basis. We had a wonderful wedding and vacation.

    Absolutely Perfect!

    Everyone who helped with our big day, was absolutely amazing! Erika, Nancy, Pablo, Mimi, and Bri ensured our was free of worry and easy flowing. The accommodations went above and beyond measure! The team worked tirelessly to make it the perfect event! Communication amongst all was very open and easy! I highly reccomend the bridal suite! It gives all the space, and the team is there for all the support, drinks, snacks you need. Between the linens and the decor, down to the signage, and all in between the team contributed to the reception everything was beautiful. I would recommend utilizing Margaritaville Beach House for any event!

    Key West Destination Wedding

    What an amazing experience having our wedding at Margaritaville Beach House. Our event manager Erika and her team Bri, Samantha, Gemma, Nancy and Edgar answered all our questions and they all helped us make our wedding day so special. The communication was excellent throughout the process of planning our wedding. We felt confident that everything would be as we wanted.     Perfect Beach Wedding

    I wanted a small beach wedding with pretty seaside touches and a few dear friends and family and that’s exactly what I got! My event planner Brittany went way above and beyond to make my wedding perfect! She was fabulous to work with. A delight! The hotel was perfect for our stay and the wonderful dinner in a private area after the ceremony! Everyone had a great time! I am one of the lucky brides that can actually say my wedding was just what I wanted!!

    Dream come true wedding

    My wedding was absolutely beautiful and a dream come true. The property is gorgeous. A bunch of my family members rooms were upgraded for free. Everyone loved the resort.

    We had our wedding here and were very impressed with the venue! The food catered by the Sheraton was great! A special thank you to the sales and catering managers, Emily and Jennifer for going above and beyond in helping us secure a last minute DJ as the one we had a contract with did not show up! It was a fabulous day!! Highly recommend!!!

    I highly recommend Sheraton Suites Key West to any and all! My wedding week and weekend was seamless thanks to them! They were so accomodating throughout the entire week not only to myself and the groom but our guests as well. At one point I needed a bottle of bourbon delivered to my groom's room and the concierge went out to get it when she got off work! They were always right there to help if we needed anything and serviced our room each an every day with little gifts left behind for us! The staff is so friendly and very detail oriented! The banquet manager and her staff made my wedding beautiful and the food was sooooo good! Our guests will have memories that will last a lifetime just because of our stay at the Sheraton Suites! I cannot say enough great things about this hotel!

    I booked my May 2017 wedding at the Sheraton Suites in June of 2016. I live in NY and have never been to Key West but because we had a small wedding I was hoping for the best and was not disappointed. Melissa at the Sheraton helped to coordinate everything and from the very beginning her responsiveness and ability to answer every single question I had was nothing less than awesome. I admit, I was a bit of a pain in the neck the closer we got but Melissa assured me that it would work out and it was more than I expected. She was very quick to answer emails and phone calls and helped to put together an amazing day for my husband and our guests. We hosted our guests over 2 nights (welcome dinner and reception) and both events went off without a hitch. She was onsite during both events and made sure that everyone had what they needed and was happy. And can we talk about the food??? The food was AMAZING!!! We had the mahi-mahi for the welcome dinner and the crab cakes and prime rib and lobster for the reception dinner. We also had the cheeseburger minis and chicken cornucopia for appetizers and I saw that most of our guests had cleaned their plates. I haven't been to a wedding where the food was this good. Also our room was clean and pretty large for a suite. It is literally steps away from the beach and far enough from downtown that you can easily get to both for a night out without getting wrapped up in the craziness of Duval Street. My husband and I are already talking about going back for a quick weekend next month. That's how awesome everything was. I HIGHLY recommend the Sheraton to all brides for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!!!

    The Sheraton Suites in Key West was an amazing place to have our wedding reception. The location is perfect since the beach is across the street and the hotel itself is beautiful. Our wedding coordinator Melissa did an absolutely amazing job to make sure our wedding dreams would come. She had amazing suggestions as well for example different guest book ideas and wedding favors. We took her suggestions and received so many compliments. The staff was kind to all of our guests and they were very accommodating. Overall, I'm thankful we picked this location and we're already wanting to go back and celebrate for our first year's anniversary.

    We booked a room block at the Sheraton for our wedding in December. The Sheraton was very accommodating. The free shuttle took our guests to and from both the rehearsal dinner and wedding. It was very convenient. We also did our farewell brunch there and the food was wonderful.

    We recently held our small wedding ceremony and dinner at the Sheraton Suites in Key West. We had a total of 22 guests and the venue was perfect for that size. I picked the Sheraton Suites because of the lovely setting in the courtyard for the ceremony and the air-conditioned Hemingway Room for the dinner. I had also read reviews that the food was excellent. With the help of the event planner, Melissa, our wedding turned out just as we had hoped. The ceremony was intimate and set in the lovely tropical courtyard with cocktail hour immediately following. We moved into the Hemingway room bit earlier then planned because it was June in Key West and we were all ready to cool off in the A/C. The appetizers and dinner entrées were all wonderful. We had been to many weddings recently where the food was terrible. Well that was not the case with the Sheraton, the food and service were excellent. We apps at the cocktail hour were hot and fresh and the dinner service was spaced out perfectly and food was delicious. We had the crab cake, wedding salad, Mahi Mahi, Chicken Florentine, and key lime pie. All were plated beautifully. The bartender was very sweet and made sure guests' special drink requests were honored. Melissa and the Sheraton staff did a fine job at ensuring our wedding was memorable and our guests felt welcome and special.

    We had our wedding ceremony out on Smathers Beach, our cocktail hour in the Sheraton Suites courtyard, and our reception on the terrace at the Sheraton Suites. From the moment I contacted the Sheraton they were extremely responsive and easy to work with. The Sheraton also made the entire process of planning a wedding from out of state very easy. When I first booked the venue Kasey was the event manager and she was extremely helpful picking a date (ensuring no other big Key West events were going on, spring break, etc) and she was able to answer all my questions. She was also extremely accommodating with any changes I wanted to make to the wedding package, and pretty much had a we can do anything you want attitude. After I booked she continued to be very responsive and helped giving suggestions on other vendors and always replied almost immediately to my emails. About halfway through planning Kasey left the Sheraton and Melissa started as the event manager. I was nervous at first since I was planning out of state and I wasn't sure how the transition would go between the two, but Melissa also did a wonderful job. She was very responsive and made sure we had everything ready to go prior to arriving in Key West. Once we got to Key West she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and that everything was set up appropriately at the reception. She even found a bobby pin for one of my bridesmaids in the lobby of the Sheraton right before we headed out to the beach. I really liked the set up of the Sheraton with the cocktail hour in the courtyard and dinner and dancing up on the terrace, it flowed very smoothly and had a great atmosphere. We did a buffet for dinner, there was plenty of food and everyone has commented on how good it was. My sister has a wheat allergy and Melissa and the Sheraton group were able to ensure that everything on the buffet was wheat free so she had plenty to eat. Overall I definitely recommend this venue!

    First of all, let me begin this review by explaining that we selected this location to have our wedding based on the amazing reviews and references people made for the venue's planner, Kasey Harris. After months and months of communicating with Kasey, we learned that she was no longer going to be working with the Sheraton, and the panic ensued. We met with Jennifer, the food and beverage manager while we were down in KW for our pre-wedding prep session a few months prior to the wedding and we immediately felt at ease. Jennifer was amazing and eased our worries. During the rest of the planning process, I communicated primarily with Melissa, who works as the planner for the group of hotels, but Jennifer was the on-site person. The day before our wedding, both Melissa and Jennifer walked us through the events and the flow of the areas we had selected, and they took specific notes of anything we had mentioned. On the day of the wedding, they took possession of our favors, seating cards, welcome table decor, etc. and handled the arrangements and placement of everything exactly as requested. In fact, they even offered to move our guestbook to two different areas during the night so that our guests would have the most access to them. Jennifer was on top of everything and could be seen in the outskirts directing her staff. The meal was awesome. The servers were amazing. The timeline was followed. The plates were cleared quickly after we finished so people could have clean tables to hang out at (although most of us were on the dance floor). Then, they placed our belongings and any extra items (extra favors, etc) on a designated table and people could easily tell where to gather their belongings. They stored these extra items (guestbook, card box, gifts, etc) in an interior conference room so that we didn't have to worry about them until the next day. The staff is just what made it all work. We are very happy. Guests complimented how the venue handled everything also.

    Believe all the wonderful reviews you read about weddings at the Sheraton Suites Key West! We had never traveled to Key West before and selected this site based upon the information on the Internet alone. Kasey Harris was our wonderful wedding coordinator and she is as amazing as everyone reports. We wanted a simple but quality wedding and we didn't ask for any extras other than what our wedding package provided and we didn't want anything more because our wedding and reception were perfect. Kasey made everything run smoothly and is an effective communicator from the very first moment you contact her. Trust her recommendations on everything-vendors, food, decorations, tables, timelines because they are perfect. She was even able to accommodate my father's special dietary restrictions due to his medical condition. The food was excellent (buffet meal with grouper and steak with chimichurri sauce), the decorations simple and sweet, and service was impeccable. Kasey even stayed during the main events of our reception to make sure it ran smoothly. The entire staff of the Sheraton was exceptional in making our celebration wonderful. All of our guests complimented how wonderful the reception location and how delicious the food was. The wedding package here is an incredible deal for the exceptional quality of the services. Believe it!

    Kasey at the Sheraton was a great help and had everything planned to the minute and perfectly. She was always easy to get in touch with and guided our planning every step of the way. Any bride planning a wedding in Key West and are from out of town, I would highly recommend them to the Sheraton Suites. My wedding reception and ceremony could not have gone any more perfectly. Hair and Makeup, the officiant, and the photographer all had worked here before and knew their way around the place.

    Kasey Harris helped coordinate a wedding space for our wedding that was rained out on the beach. The Sheraton not only arranged a space for our ceremony at the last minute but also made it beautiful. We were working with Weddingstogo for our ceremony who had recommended the Sheraton for our small brunch reception. Originally we were booked in the garden courtyard for the reception. The weather and the fact that we were on a cruise ship caused everybody to make changes very fast. The Sheraton and my wedding planners worked together to make it wonderful. The brunch was wonderful and we were able to have it on the Coral Crab Terrace which was great.

    Wow, where do I begin? I had such an amazing wedding experience at the Sheraton Suites for our 11/06/15 wedding. The location offers different ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception options - we opted for our ceremony to be on Smathers Beach, for our cocktail hour to be in the courtyard, and for our reception to be held on the Coral Deck (outdoor restaurant deck). The ceremony was beautiful, and an arch with white linens and chair decorations were included in our package. We enhanced the arch with floral sprays, and everything looked picture perfect. The cocktail hour was in the courtyard, which is adorned by cute string lights. The hotel provided a few high-top tables for guests to stand at and there were some rocking chairs to sit in. My guests said the appetizers (especially the bacon wrapped scallops) were phenomenal! We had added a fruit platter and an additional appetizer to give our guests some extra variety. Once cocktail hour finished, we had a short walk up a ramp to the Coral deck. This area is awesome. We had separate eating and dancing spaces. Our guests, who enjoyed a few adult beverages, found the bartender to be excellent (she even came around to the tables to take orders and deliver drinks). The area was spacious and even though it overlooks the pool area, we weren't bothered by any outside noise or hotel guests. My guests said that the food was great, and I have to agree with them - there were definitely large portions which was nice, no one left hungry! Overall, the Sheraton was a beautiful place to host a wedding. I would highly recommend it, whether you're on a budget or not; they offer many different packages from all inclusive to build your own. Kasey, who was our event coordinator, was great and always easy to get in touch with. She handled all of our set-up the day of, and made sure all contracts and vendor paperwork was submitted and squared away beforehand.

    Loved this location and also the people. They helped put everything out perfectly and cleaned it up for us to pick up the next day. The made the whole experience amazing. My only issue was the heat on the deck in April. More fans would have been great, but after a few drinks most people forgot about it. Loved the ceremony location. Honestly a great location.

    We had our destination wedding at the Sheraton Suites Key West. We worked with Kasey who was great and always answered any questions we had promptly. We reserved a block of rooms at this hotel for our guest and everyone LOVED it and they were all impressed, especially since we got a great rate for booking a block. The rooms were huge, updated and very nice. We were upgraded to an ocean view suite for having our wedding there, which was very nice and they also sent us champagne on our wedding night. It is a very convenient spot if you are having your ceremony at Smathers Beach which is right across the street like we did. It made everything super easy for all our guests to get to and from the ceremony and reception at the hotel. Our reception was great and Kasey had everything run really smoothly and even helped set up our reception. The food was amazing as well, we had the plated dinners. We also had the open bar and our bartender was fantastic and made great drinks! We are very happy we had our wedding at the Sheraton and Kasey and her team were on the ball, which made it way less stressful for us! We will definitely stay at the Sheraton again the next time we are in Key West, they definitely take care of their customers and have great customer service all around!

    Kasey Harris at Sheraton Suites in Key West was amazing! She was great about making sure we stayed within our budget, but also being sure that we had an elegant wedding. She helped us create a custom menu for our guests, communicated with us regularly, and was there on the wedding day to help us all get down the aisle. Smathers Beach is GORGEOUS! I am beyond happy with our decision!!

    Kasey and her wonderful staff at the Sheraton in Key West made our day wonderful. From the beginning, she made us feel relaxed while planning a wedding from home in PA. She is very responsive to emails and phone calls and genuinely cares for the way you imagine your day to flow. We had originally planned for a played dinner but opted for buffet/stations due to timing of a plated dinner. With 3 weeks to go, Kasey accommodated us in every way possible. We were able to use our plated menu for our new buffet/station style reception. She also helped work with our photographer to set up the perfect timeline for the day of. I give Kasey a 10/10 for event coordinator! The hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever been in. Very modern and beach style. Top notch for a beach wedding. Especially with the beach right across the street! The Sheraton staff is so personable and friendly it makes me want to go back! Our chef (Michael I believe his name was), was the best! Being from Philly only made our whole group like him more! Our bartender was also wonderful! Super fast and the drinks were very creative! And last but not least, the FOOD! I cannot even put into words how delicious the food is here. If you plan on having a wedding here, you will NOT be disappointed. Everything from the spanakopita and chicken cornucopia for butler passed hor dorvoures to the prime rib and huge key west shrimp! I had more to write but the max is 2000 characters!     We just had my daughter's reception here. There aren't enough words to describe how perfect everything was. Kasey, you are amazing and the sweetest person. Chef Mike, since you're from Philly we have to love you..hahaha..seriously. The food was amazing. Everyone LOVED the appetizers (Spanakopita and Spicy Chicken Cornucopia.) the Prime Rib was amazing as were the shrimp and the crab cakes ..you even went out of your way to provide a last minute special request ..the bartender did a fabulous job. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had the perfect day. The Sheraton should be honored to have such wonderful staff. We were looking for a venue in our budget, and the Sheraton fit the bill. Don't be fooled by the cost, the Sheraton is a definite 5 STAR. You will not be disappointed

    From the start of planning to the final touch, Kasey Harris and staff were fantastic to work with. Kasey was always prompt on returning my email or call. She was so helpful in helping us find other vendors for cakes (Key West Cakes), flowers and decorating (Karro Events), hair (Key West Hair & Make up) Photographers (Senses at Play), DJ and videographer (Soundwave)!! We planned a cocktail party for all of our guests the night before and it was flawless. The ceremony & reception was decorated with the right touches and everything was beautiful.     We are absolutely grateful to Sheraton team for sharing our wedding day and weekend with us. They are all truly incredible at what you do. We felt completely comfortable and are so appreciative of how flexible everyone was with our big group. Mr. Ed was great and everyone enjoyed taking the shuttle with him. He even took me to our ceremony as a last minute request. Brandon was more than amazing, he was very attentive to us from the moment we got there until the moment we left on our honeymoon! The food for our reception was incredible and so was our sendoff breakfast. Can't wait to see the Sheraton team in the near future. Thank you times infinity!

    We had our wedding at the Sheraton Suites Key West on Jan 31. and we couldn't be happier with everything. The location was beautiful, everything was perfectly set up. The staff was amazing, super professional, nice, accommodating, I cant say enough about them. The hotel was super comfy, clean and family friendly which we really enjoyed. The food at the reception was incredible. All our guest got seconds and thirds. They said it was the best food they have had at any wedding. My husband couldn't be happier. Kasey our coordinator is top of the line, wonderful and super friendly and professional. We cant wait to return.

    My husband and I were married on Smather's Beach, and had our reception at The Sheraton, on Jan. 8, 2015. We are from PA, so the whole wedding was planned mainly through email and phone calls. Our wedding coordinator from the Sheraton was Kasey Harris, and she was wonderful! She made everything easy, and was a pleasure to work with. She also suggested some last minute changes due to the weather (it was rather windy that day), and everything worked out beautifully!! The accommodations at The Sheraton were also excellent, and all of our guests were pleased with the location, size of rooms, and the cost. Also, there is a free shuttle that made it easy for our guests to get there. Overall the wedding was perfect, and I would reccommend both Kasey Harris and the Sheraton to anyone that is thinking of getting married in Key West!!!!

    Kasey is a wedding planner through the Starwood hotels down in Key West. She was very prompt with responses and offered fantastic feedback on vendors! I have no complaints about my wedding. I'd highly recommend the Sheraton Suites Hotel to have your wedding. The staff were friendly, the food fantastic and rooms big! Kasey made planning a destination wedding easy and stress free!

The food, atmosphere and service was outstanding. They commented on the cleanliness and service of the hotel as well. I commend you and your staff.
    Brandon was a gem. He was there practically the entire night. He set up the terrace with the centerpieces, candles, and the way he set up the sandbox for the place cards was perfect.

    First of all, the food was AMAZING. Hands down, the best food I have ever had at a wedding. The service was equally great, very attentive to all of our guests. But I have to say as the bride, I was taken care of all night. The set up was beautiful, and working with Kasey and her crew was easy. I honestly could not have been happier. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you to the entire Sheraton staff for making our wedding so special and our stay at their hotel so great.

    My daughters wedding was made possible by a wonderful young lady named Kasey Harris! Without her constant help and advice the day would never have been made possible. There wasn't anything left untouched! Beyond impeccable, the food , the table decorations, the actual venue, the beautiful white linens, and the most amazing staff, made our daughters wedding every success! I would highly recommend this venue, and events organiser, Kasey Harris .
    The sheraton hotel was beautiful, extremely stylish, wiht the most beautiful gardens, and facilities.
    It was the most magical day and wedding I've ever attended. Every guest commented on the food and quality of food and products.
    Also I would like to add, it was extremely hot on the wedding day, and the sheraton staff did everyone beyond possible, to make all the guests feel comfortable, by providing electric fans, and parasols.
    I honestly am so grateful to all the staff, and the wonderful chef.

    Kasey Harris was our person of contact at the Sheraton for our event.
    She was very helpful at all times. Was of great help specially on the day of the wedding helping everyone get set up.
    The ceremony at the beach was sooooo beautiful, simple but perfect for a beach wedding. And Karen, our officiant, was simply phenomenal!
    Brandon was also great and stayed on top of everything that whole day and thereafter!
    Food was delicious, desert was awesome, service was fantastic during the event.

    We had our wedding ceremony at Smather's Beach, and reception at the Sheraton. Everything from start to finish was perfect! Brandon and his team were flexible, accommodating, and everyone on the entire Sheraton staff was pleasant and helpful. The reception area was decorated beautifully, and our guests were raving about the food. We stayed at the Sheraton for the week along with our friends and family and couldn't have asked for a better hotel and wedding reception. Thanks to everyone for everything!

    Had our wedding on Smathers beach and reception at Sheraton. We also stayed at the Sheraton along with most of our family and friends. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was with us every step of the way and we couldn't have had a more perfect wedding. Checking out was the hardest thing to do. We can't wait to go back!

    We did not get married at the hotel itself, but across the street. They were however very accommodating to put our families rooms together. The hotel is beautiful it was so convenient to have it across the street from the beach we were married on. Thank you for a great stay.

    Outstanding!

    We had an amazing experience with Margaritaville for our wedding last November. The price I listed included our 6 night stay plus our ceremony and reception. We chose the more expensive food and bar options, so if you’re looking to cut some cost you may be able to!
    Brittany F, the event manager was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond for us to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She was very responsive, helpful and overall so pleasant to work with. We planned our wedding from afar, which is nerve wracking to not see anything in person prior to your trip! Upon arrival it was everything we dreamed of and MORE! the hotel is gorgeous and has awesome updated finishes. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the staff was fabulous! The food I was genuinely impressed with as well, we did not do a single tasting but the food was awesome and the feedback about the food was too!
    Say yes in key west was great! They’re the vendor that dealt with the ceremony aspect of the wedding day, everyone was excellent, helpful and very responsive! It was a trip I will never forget and our wedding day was a dream come true! If you’re trying to pick an amazing spot for one of the most important days of a couples life, look no further!     We had our wedding in Key West recently with around 30 guests. The ceremony was on Smathers Beach across the street from the hotel, and the reception was on the terrace of the Sheraton. Melissa Ingram, the wedding coordinator for the hotel, was awesome. Professional, organized, and easy to get in touch with both before the wedding and the day of. She was incredibly helpful in making sure that our day went as smoothly as possible. A++ for Melissa.

    The reception at the hotel was excellent. Our guests loved the food at the buffet dinner (we got the steak and chicken as our entrees and a few plated vegan plates for the non-meat eaters). The terrace was a perfect location for the number of guests we had and provided appropriate ambiance. It was set up in a way that provided enough privacy from other hotel guests so that we felt we had our own space.

    The actual hotel stay was better than expected. I read some mixed reviews of the rooms prior to booking this venue, but the rooms we stayed in turned out to be excellent with no complaints. Some advice: shell out a few extra dollars and go with one of the ocean view rooms. Not only is the view better, but they are located closer to the lobby and elevators so you don't have to walk a half mile to the rear of the hotel to find your room.

    The only issue we had during our stay was with the front desk and accounting department. On several occasions, both we and a few of our guests were charged twice for either their rooms or for the extra resort fee. Hannah, the person in charge of group sales, was very helpful and patient in sorting all this out and turned a nearly $3000 unexplained balance into $70. A++ for Hannah. How anyone can screw up the math this much when everything is done by computers is baffling. If you stay here, I highly recommend getting an itemized receipt when you check out and review it carefully.

Our small reception was a brunch - the food was wonderful, the staff fabulously attentive and polite, the table settings were beautiful and when my wedding cake didn't arrive from the bakery, the staff supplied us with a back up key lime pie that was beautifully made for our dessert. Since we were staying at the hotel (they upgraded our room to an ocean view room free of charge to make our wedding even more special,) they even delivered the leftovers from our brunch to our room for later snacking, and Kasey sent us a beautiful card accompanied by champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our first official night as husband and wife. The grounds are amazing and the staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

    Had my reception in the Hemingway room. Food was awesome and set up was lovely. Kasey was great to work with. Be sure to ask for your leftover cake!

    Brandon & Kasey at the Sheraton Key West Suites made our wedding a wonderful event! The team was accommodating to all requests and perfectly executed our vision. The value was unbelievable! Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Each detail was carefully tended to and the positive vendor relationships that the Sheraton staff has developed over time was an additional bonus to making our event seamless. Even several of our guests are interested in booking their next wedding here! I strongly recommend hosting your wedding at the Sheraton, an unbelievable value for a beach-side wedding in Key West.

    We were directed to the Sheraton Suites by Weddings to Go Key West. It was exactly what we were looking for. The staff is extremely accomodating. They bent over backwards to accomodate me and all my guests. I had the best time ever.

    Kasey Harris the event coordinator for sales and catering @ Sheraton was very helpful, friendly, easy to communicate with and competent in making sure our wedding events took place smooth and as planned. The preparations for the catering and the hall decorations exceeded our expectation. All the staff members were friendly, complimentary and efficient at their job. The overall accommodation left Ken and I speechless! We could not of asked for anything else because our needs was totally met. Our guests vowed to return to the Keys, they loved the food at the reception, they loved the ambiance of the hotel and found that the transportation provided by Sheraton was necessary and flexible. Our choice to stay at and have our wedding reception at the Sheraton was the best decision we made. This experience would be forever grounded in our minds and hearts because this was an unforgettable wedding experience for both of us. Thanks to the Sheraton and WeddingstoGoKeyWest.     I had both my wedding and reception at Sheraton Suites and was very happy with both. The wedding was beautiful across the street at Smathers Beach and the officiant provided (Aaron) made our ceremony perfect. I had a few poems/ scriptures that I wanted him to read and he did everything I asked for. He was so nice and sweet. The reception was great. It was beautiful on the back deck overlooking the pool. Unfortunately we had to end the reception at 10pm due to the other guests but the hotel drove all of our guests (40+) in their shuttles downtown so we could continue the party. The food was excellent. We had a chicken and shrimp pasta dish and seafood chowder as the appetizer. Everything was beautiful.

    Laid back destination wedding venue.

    We had our wedding at Margaritaville Beach house in July of 2024 and had a great experience. Erika and her team helped us every step of the way. From the moment we landed in the Key West airport we had convenient access to an airport shuttle ride. We were guided through the whole process of our wedding with the help of Erika as she walked us through the locations, connected us with the other vendors and answered all our questions. On the day of the wedding, Erika and her team (Pablo, Bri, Nancy, Sam and Edgar) were really good at setting up all the decorations and taking care of everything without having to ask me too many questions on the big day. Throughout the trip we were made to feel like VIPs and were given complimentary meals and gifts. The catering team did an amazing job not only setting up the food on the day of the wedding but also helped us distribute sandwiches to our guests the day after. They truly went above and beyond. My only advice for booking this venue is that the shuttle at the hotel sometimes leaves early so if you don’t want to miss the shuttle, you should be ready to leave 10 minutes before the shuttle is scheduled to be there. Also, the event coordinator position changed 3 times throughout the process of planning the wedding (about a year) which made us nervous. However, the new coordinator, Erika, did a great job at supporting us in the months leading up to the wedding. This is a great venue for a laid back, more intimate, destination wedding.

    We held our reception here and my family and I had a very nice time. The food and service was awesome. They did lose my cake topper and wedding favors, but they were apologetic and offered compensation to appease us.

    We booked a block of rooms at the Sheraton Key West for our wedding guests. We were surprised with a room upgrade with ocean view upon check in, and were then surprised with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The hotel was clean and more than met our needs. Whatever we needed they were there for us.We were so glad to have stayed at the Sheraton and were delighted at how responsive and helpful everyone was.

    We just had our wedding at Sheraton this past weekend & everything went perfectly! Melissa was very helpful & was very responsive throughout the process. The staff was professional and kept our wedding moving quickly. After our wedding reception was over, my husband & I looked at each other and both agreed that everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have an outdoor & romantic wedding in Key West. Also, I should say something about the ceremony location- perfect!

    The Sheraton catering was really good; we had our reception here and everything went great. We had a few issues with the group room booking for our wedding guests and with our room (bride and groom) and some of the people working there who were less than thrilled with their job. Overall, an okay experience.

    A Year of Issues, but a perfect day

    Margaritaville Review
    This is going to be a long review, warning ahead of time. (We live in Ohio and have been to key west many times, we had a 50 person destination wedding)
    We signed our contract with this venue February of 2021 when it was The Barbary Beach House. Our wedding coordinator was Jackie. We asked a million questions and went through all of the details and were happy with everything. We signed our contract in early February.
    May of 2021 we went down to do our tasting at the venue and engagement pictures. The Barbary was stunning and we met with the food and beverage coordinator during the tasting. The food was incredible and we loved the atmosphere.
    July of 2021, we get an email from our coordinator, Jackie, to let us know she was being promoted to a different property. Our new coordinator Brittany emailed us to introduce herself.
    November of 2021, an article comes up on my Facebook page. “Key West Welcomes Margaritaville Beach House”. I click on it because my now husband loves Jimmy Buffet and I was excited to see another Margaritaville. Turns out, our wedding venue was becoming Margaritaville. There was never any notice from anyone. Keep in mind, we had been contracted since February and we visited in May, and booked our room in June, and talked to our new coordinator in July. No notification. No email or phone call. I panicked because, personally, the idea of getting married at a Margaritaville sounded awful. We visit Margaritavilles all the time to party and drink but getting married at one? No thanks. I emailed my coordinator and called the hotel, they told us Brittany wasn’t in but they’d let her know I called. The next morning Brittany called me and eased my worry, letting me know that it wasn’t a typical Margaritaville and it was still going to be like the Barbary and it was all the same. She said all of our contracts and menus would remain the same. This change in branding had been underway for over a year but no one was notified. Brittany said she had wanted to send out an email but that her bosses had decided against it. This felt extremely dishonest and we said as much. Less than two weeks after this, we got an email letting us know that The Barbary was Margaritaville. Surprise.
    March of 2022, so the special room rate for our guests was due to expire in a couple of days. We sent out texts to remind everyone, some had booked already and some had not. So when people tried to get on and book, it said they couldn’t. We called Brittany and she said we’d already booked 10 rooms and that’s all we were guaranteed. We pointed out that more than 10 rooms had already been booked without an issue, she said it looked like we actually had 15 rooms set aside. We pointed out that 17 rooms had been booked without an issue, it turns out it’s just the “number of room nights”. Your special rate is good for an entire week but they limit the number of rooms you can have on a particular night. So, many of our guests had just booked Friday-Sunday and occupied all of our rooms for Friday and Saturday. So you could get the special rate for Monday-Thursday but not the day of our wedding. In our emails with our original coordinator I had asked to reserve a block of 30 rooms because we knew we would need them, and had asked to put down deposits on them. She said they started with a block of 10 but once those were full, they’d set aside more for us. Brittany said that was not something she could do (even though these were promises made by our coordinator) and the best she could do was give us a 10% discount off the full price of the rooms. (Our price was $259-$289 and the regular price was almost $700). We argued because that wasn’t what we had been told. And we had the emails to back us up. She said she would have her boss call us back. He never called. We called every single day for a week trying to get ahold of this boss because it wasn’t something Brittany could do. My fiancé called and bugged the front desk so much just trying to get some actual answers that finally someone in charge called us back. He was able to give us the remaining rooms we needed for $100 more (so $389).
    April of 2022. We put too much money down (we were just making big chunk deposits so we could get it out of the way). We had planned on more guests attending our wedding, we had planned on 60 and ended up at 45 and therefore over paid by about $900. Not a big deal, Brittany gave us 3 options for using that money. (None of which was us just getting the money back). We ended up choosing to do an after party at the pool bar since our reception had to end at 10. Our previous coordinator had okayed our reception going until 11, we just had to pay an additional hour for the bar which was about $250. But, suddenly, we couldn’t do that and had to opt for the after party. We didn’t want our guests trying to go party downtown after the wedding and getting stuck without transportation, so the after party seemed like the best plan. That ended up making us owe them another $600.
    April of 2022 (part 2) ONE WEEK before our wedding. This was 4/29, we got married 5/7. Brittany texts me and asks me to if I have a minute to talk. They were doing the ordering for the food for the wedding and were having a hard time finding lobster tail. So our options were, pay $30.00 more per person who had ordered the lobster (which was like 35 people). OR not have the lobster at all. But they’d give us champagne for the brunch for free. We were paying more than $100 per person per plate and no where on any of the contracts or menus does it say that we would be responsible if the market price fluctuated. We were furious. We didn’t want the champagne at brunch which is why we didn’t buy that to begin with. So our filet and lobster tail would have just been a filet. For $110 a plate. After enough arguing, Brittany talked to her boss and we got what we were actually contracted for. Why would you do that to someone a week before their wedding? It was completely unnecessary.

    Finally week of the wedding, May 2022:
    The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our guests started arriving and everyone had a really good time and the shuttle to and from downtown is great.
    Even though you purchase a package that includes the ceremony stuff through Margaritaville, they have zero involvement in what goes on. They contracted out through Say Yes in Key West, so Margaritaville doesn’t get my review for the ceremony. The only big issue is, there’s no coordination between your ceremony coordinator (Say Yes in Key West) and your venue coordinator (Brittany). If anything goes wrong, if there’s any questions, if anything changes, you have to contact the ceremony coordinators.
    The walk from the hotel to the beach for the ceremony is like 5 minutes. It’s not a bad walk until you’re wearing a wedding dress and it’s 90 degrees, Margaritaville was SO nice to offer me a ride from the hotel to the entrance on the beach. For $150.
    And SO nice, to offer a shuttle for the rehearsal dinner. For $150.
    We spent over $18,000 just on the venue, that doesn’t include all of the money our guests spent while they were there. Couldn’t a complimentary shuttle have been offered? Even if not for the rehearsal dinner but so the bride wouldn’t have to walk in the heat? Luckily one of our friends drove so they were able to drive me over, because after spending THAT much money, it seemed truly appalling that they wanted $150 for a 3 minute shuttle ride.
    Brittany was there for the set up of the reception, the cocktail hour, and the first hour or so of the reception. First and foremost the food was absolutely wonderful. That was our biggest compliment of the day, the food. The tray passed appetizers during cocktail hour and the food at the reception was the best wedding food anyone had. It was phenomenal.
    We were told our cake couldn’t be left outside because of how hot it was, it would melt. Not a problem at all. However, we cut the cake in the first 30 minutes of the reception, Brittany left after an hour, and the cake continued to sit there. It was basically on the dance floor, people kept running into the table all night. Finally in the last few minutes of the reception I mentioned it to one of our Aunts and she asked one of the staff about who took care of it. The after party was at the pool bar and it was a really great time. The bartenders were a lot of fun.
    We had the brunch the next day and it was lovely as well. Again, the food was absolutely incredible and there was tons of it.

    Overall:
    Our wedding was perfect, I wouldn’t change a single thing. I do wish it had stayed The Barbary, that may have alleviated a lot of the issues between what we contracted for, what our original coordinator had approved, and then what Margaritaville couldn’t/wouldn’t do. Because “they weren’t responsible for what the previous coordinator had promised”. (So we were told.)
    After everything we went through in the year beforehand, I don’t think I would recommend them as a wedding venue to anyone. It was so much stress. I think Brittany is a very nice person. I think she really enjoys the actual “day of” stuff like decorating and organizing and such. But, I don’t think she’s given enough authority to actually give couples what they need. Every time there was a problem or a question, she had to ask and answer to someone else. She’s just the middle man between the bosses and the clients which causes a massive disconnect.
    I apologize for the length of this review but I wanted to give as many details as possible so other brides might know what they’re getting into before they contract in.

    Not impressed

    I had planned the majority of the details of our brunch wedding at Barbary. A few weeks prior to our wedding, I was notified by the catering manager that my POC was no longer working that position and he introduced me to Brittany. She seemed disorganized at times, saying she was working from home or busy with other weddings when I tried to contact her to go through the details and finalize the catering several times. She didn’t finalize our catering order until a few days before our wedding. The day before, we met with Brittany to go over the details and she offered to bring a box that looked like the Southernmost Point marker that could hold our cards (she dropped the ball and that was never provided so our guests were just handing us our cards and we had to put them at our table).
    When we arrived on our wedding day, it was appreciated that they gave me a room to hang out in before I walked down the aisle, however that’s really where the fine details stopped. In a random event, she sprained her ankle right before I was to walk down the aisle- totally unfortunate- but she called my room and told me about her injury and said- “it’s time for you to walk down the aisle, just walk out your door and take a left and another left”. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that so she sent someone to walk with me to the location (I was never showed in person where I was going in relation to the room they put me in).
    As I walked to the ceremony, I felt rushed to walk down the aisle, so much that my music had to be awkwardly chopped off in the opening ballad.
    I had donuts from an outside vendor brought in to arrange a tiered-stack to look like a wedding cake. When I saw the set up- the donuts were nowhere near the food. I had to get my husband to move the table so people could see that they were there.
    The bartenders didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing, either.
    Then, a couple days after our wedding, when we got the final bill, they tried to charge us over $3,000 for mimosas, bloody Mary’s and beer. Everything else was cash bar. We he 46 guests and were at the venue for 2.5 hours, beginning at 11 AM. We polled our guests to see if our estimates were just so far out of wack and everyone said they didn’t drink much, maybe 2-4 drinks and some guests didn’t drink anything at all. We didn’t purchase a bar package but paid by the drink- the catering manager who we originally worked with was supposed to let us know when we got close to $400 but that detail was not carried out in our contract or on the day of our wedding. We eventually convinced Brittany to work with us and she ended up charging us around $1500 - which would have been a package price.
    Ultimately, my vision of how everything would go was not met. We had a relaxed wedding in mind and we just felt like they couldn’t deliver.

    Nightmare! I had read so many great reviews of this place and of Kasey herself. However we had quite the opposite experience. Just to name a few, the rooms there were booked by our wedding party and ourselves woke up to no running water in the rooms and didn't have any the entire day. Really left us all in a scramble and didn't seem to offer any suggestions. Next we specifically asked they NOT use the big oversized chairs at our reception, that was confirmed by Kasey. However as we entered our reception, to our dismay there were the big oversized green chairs at our table for us. We had to have them switched out in front of everyone. The buffet style food we had chosen which was called the Mallory Square Buffet at $38 per person was a big disappointment, just to name one thing the pork loin was so tough no one could even chew it. It did start to rain during our reception which was held on the terrace, we were expecting someone to come and help move the tables closer to the hotel so we could all stay dry but of course no one was ever around. Thankfully we had several Marines in our wedding party and they themselves got up, moved the tables for us. All this time Kasey is no where around even though she stated she would be there at the reception handling things for us. As for the cake, as our guests were served we could tell from their faces that it didn't taste good. We had ordered a 3 tier cake even though we would only need 2 to serve at the wedding. We had several guests staying together in vacation homes so our plan was to send all the extra to those homes. The cake tasted like a week old sponge cake. It was by Cakes by Karol. Upon calling the vendor to express our disappointment, the person there said it was Kasey's place to inform us as she knows all their wedding cakes are sponge cake. We literally fed it to the fish in the canal it was that bad. Review is limiting my space, another problem..gnats swarming all over IN the shower! Terrible!
