Great Experience

Shawn was the perfect photographer for our small ceremony in Edmonds. We had about 20 guests at the ceremony and a dinner later at a local restaurant and we had Shawn with us for most part of the night. He’s flexible, professional and takes amazing photos. He also offers film in his photo packages and we thought that was a great touch. He’s really easy to coordinate with and the whole experience was just wonderful. He knew where to go to get all the good pics, and we got the perfect mix of formal and candids. We just wanted to just enjoy our day and have that captured, and Shawn really made that happen. He captured the mood and the memory of the day so well that seeing the photos we feel the love and excitement of the wedding all over. It is truly wonderful and we would recommend to couples looking for a good photographer.

Easygoing, professional, and talented

Shawn was a quiet presence who captured beautiful shots of our special day. He was very flexible and listened to a few funny pictures we wanted and also creative in helping guide us toward some ideas. Most of all, we loved all of the candid moments he photographed and his artistic eye and edits. Fall Wedding

Shawn was a DREAM. He was able to keep us on schedule and was exactly the kind of energy we needed. He has an incredible eye for pictures and all the moments you will want captured on your day. Wonderful Experience

We had fun working with Shawn and we couldn't be happier with our photos! Love our photos!

Super happy with the outcome of our photos! We’re both not used to being in front of the camera and Shawn made it really simple by explaining the process initially and that really took a lot of the fear out of it for me. Perfect Fit

There aren't enough words to thank Shawn for our photos! They are beyond what we could've ever dreamed. Not sure how he seems to be everywhere at once, for some of those shots we didn't even notice him there! Captured our love

Shawn captured the love, the fun and overall feel of our wedding and it makes us happy to think that we'll be able to relive it all whenever we see our photos. The wedding day goes by quickly and it seems like you don't get enough time for photos, but from the photos we can see Shawn’s very thorough and fully captured the entire wedding start to finish. Great photographer

We are thrilled with our engagement pictures from Shawn, and are looking forward to having him photograph our wedding next year as well! From the beginning, Shawn was very communicative and quick to respond to my questions. Shawn went above and beyond taking our photos to ensure he captured a wide variety of shots at our engagement shoot location, and even stayed later than planned to snap a few with a ferry docking in the background. He did a great job of helping us feel natural in front of the camera (my fiancé hates pictures) and the photos really look like “us” instead of staged or posed. Captured the joy and emotion of our day

We started working with Shawn 2 years ago for our engagement photos which all turned out beautifully. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding and Shawn was very accommodating. We were fortunate enough to still be able to work with him when we finally got to celebrate our wedding in September. Our photos are amazing and authentic. He perfectly captured the joy of my husband and I and our guests as we finally got to come together to celebrate our marriage. It has been so much fun to relive each moment through these photos, and we will treasure them forever.

He captured heartfelt moments so effortlessly and with such ease, there were a few we didn’t even realize he was there for, he was everywhere at once! And the moment we got the photos…just incredible, they are are so special to us, we’re thankful to have them for our family & friends to treasure forever. Best weekend of our lives

We can’t even describe how excited we are with our photos from Shawn. They bring back such great memories. Literally cried ourselves speechless when they dropped into our inbox, he captured so many amazingly memorable moments! All I can say is I’m grateful, just so incredibly grateful to have worked with Shawn. He was so helpful with our questions and last-minute notes and thoughts, and helped out a lot in terms of mapping out the shots for the day. Brilliance!

The experience with Shawn could not have been a better one.

After you book, Shawn reaches out to schedule an engagement shoot in an area where you're comfortable. He's very accommodating. We did ours in Edmonds and he arrived early to scout out locations. We were immediately assured that this guy knew what he was doing. The engagement shoot also showed us how effortless it is to have photos taken by Shawn. He didn't over-direct, he was natural and he just let us be ourselves and let moments happen (something we felt comfortable doing in front of him. And the groom hates PDA ;)) He's patient and professional and just makes everything feel easy. Any concerns we had about the photos on the wedding day were assuaged by the engagement shoot.

And it helped that we had worked with him, because on the day-of we knew how he directed his photo sessions. We understood the subtle instructions he gives and it helped our photos turn out amazing! He planned what spots he wanted to shoot and how to get through many photos quickly so that we could get back to having fun!

He is prompt with his processing. We received photos within a month of the wedding. He sends them in a dropbox with Hi-Res and Print quality and Color and B+W for all photos. We received about 400 photos and they were in the order they were shot, so we could relive our day in images. He got different angles, got photos of darn near all of our 40 guests and they were all Grade A quality. His strong suit, in our opinion, is his couple portraits. His "action" shots and group portraits are great, but his work truly shines with the romantic shots! He has a unique style, and if you like it, definitely book with Shawn! He will be an asset to your wedding day!

Just the most wonderful pictures, and the easiest person to work with

Really really good. Shawn was always professional and on time, and the finished pictures we got were just so wonderful. It was raining on our wedding day, but he made it work!

Also I got a big ol' mudprint on my dress very early in the day, and somehow none of his pictures show even a hint of it! Talk about attention to detail!

We LOVED having Shawn’s Photography for our ceremony. The photos are so raw and authentic and completely breathtaking - one of my favorite is the arching floral installation we were married under, the details he captured are simply gorgeous. He’s got such amazing sensibilities and an impeccable eye for detail, it’s by far the best we could ask in a photographer. We were going for a rustic theme with an elegant vibe, and he documented everything with harmony while making it look so lovely and romantic, it’s literally Pinterest-level perfect! He was so supportive of what we were doing and really encouraged to infuse our personality in our bridals, and I can’t express enough how much we appreciate that though out the day. He totally values the importance of being present and enjoying the experience, and his laid back demeanor just enables us to let loose to mingle and have fun all night. Shawn was the first person I called because of the good reviews –and that paid off handsomely, because other than being surprisingly chill and easygoing, he’s incredibly focused when it comes to staying on top of things. From the photos you can definitely see that he’s a master in his craft. It’s all the photos you need minus the randoms that distracts from the experience. If you want to feel comfortable in your engagement and wedding photos, booking Shawn needs to be part of your plans!

Shawn was fantastic. He was so nice and flexible despite my multiple changes of decisions and locations for photography and despite the multiple changes in the day-of schedule. This was a real stress off of my day, knowing that Shawn would be accommodating to our changing needs. In terms of quality, the pictures he sent to me in the preview are STUNNING. I opened the link and was knocked off my feet. The pictures look so beautiful--they fit my desired aesthetic: artsy, romantic, poetic, focused on the people and emotions. Shawn is simply amazing!! The entire wedding was covered from front to back and was photographed with such amazing quality. We had Shawn as our wedding photographer and the experience was wonderful. It was an intimate garden ceremony and we are very pleased with the photos he took for us. Our wedding dreams finally came true! And thanks to Shawn we have photos to show for it! We had an test session and immediately knew we had chosen the right person. I would say Shawn is more of a artist over a commercial photographer. If you plan to have him covering your wedding day you’d better be ready to be blown away by the photos. He’s has such a calm and assuring personality and we loved the fact that he gave us direction and was able to style the shot - he has a really good eye for style and getting the good light and backdrop to make it amazing. The feel is subtle and not too crazy, and it’s just how we wanted it - classic and well put together.

Everything about Shawn’s photography feels composed, graceful, and perfectly timed.

His personality is warm and inviting and the communication is always pleasant. I particularly enjoyed the conversations about the design and decor and very much appreciated his take on our ideas.

In the end we received an excellent mix of shots: Pics of us getting ready, first look, ceremony(obviously) and the photos of everyone having fun and also pics of the venue and decor we had set up.

We are absolutely completely 100% in love with Shawn.

First of all, he is very nice. Like, the real kind of nice.

Second, the pictures he takes are exceptional.

As if that’s not enough, he’s flexible to our needs while every conversation, email and meeting was as helpful as his is also nice to talk to.

His 6 hour coverage($2000) met all our needs, and the simplicity of booking was also a DREAM –because after just one meeting, we were able to test, preview, and book before we got on our way. Anytime I can get THREE things done in the same time for one is more than an ideal situation.

All that to say, photography is his main thing, and some of the most beautiful we’ve seen. Every single one is genuinely lovely and are made with ultra good quality, and with his reasonable pricing we can easily recommend him!

We hired Shawn for our wedding and he was GREAT. Seriously, the best possible photographer we could imagine for our day.

There was a lot going on with coordinating and Shawn was very understanding of last minute planning and was flexible to accommodate our schedules. He’s attentive but not overbearing, which for us was a big plus.

We’re all very impressed with the quality and I was surprised by how soon we received the images (about 6 weeks!). He also suggested some places where we could send the photos to make an album.

The photography is the best you’ll see from anywhere! We can’t stop talking about them.

We recently had Shawn for our wedding and I’d have to say he is the perfect choice for someone who’s into all things chill and easy.

With the list of to-do’s growing by the week, we pretty much owe it all to him as he totally helped us to keep it all under control.

Communication was always quick and easy, and the vibe was always calm and stress free.

We’ve been in contact for the past 6 months and emailed/texted well over 100 times, and we’ve never been let hanging.

His attention to our experience is just beyond what we could of asked for, and the pictures perfectly captured the moments we had, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome! The mix of candid and portraits honestly says everything about the feel and we LOVE how he’s able to tell the story of the day. He is by far the easiest option given our price level. And with his level of commitment and standards what more can you ask for?

So much YES for having Shawn on board! With his help the wedding was planned successfully and photographed perfectly! What an amazing hire!

It took just the right amount of time do the portraits and family photos, while everything else captured naturally as the day went on – we even managed to step out briefly at sunset to take in with view with a quick photo opp! Upon our return we found ourselves in a room full of middle aged folks moving and shaking and Shawn managed to be everywhere at once to capture the party:) It was the most fun we’ve had in a long time and we couldn’t be more happy with the photos Shawn took for us!

There’s a wonderful range of candids and formals and also details of the decor, all delivered in less than a month! He even set up a online gallery where we can download the images to share and make prints from:)

If you’re starting out on your search, meet with him immediately – our experience was so well thought out that we are absolutely impressed with having him!

Take it from a bride who just had the day of her life, book Shawn and it’s DONE. He makes is so easy and pleasant you’ll want to make your wedding to last the entire weekend.

We made a short list of the must haves and he accommodated and delivered on that request, of which we greatly appreciated. He's exactly the kind of photographer you want looking after you on the day of, because while we were busy consuming fizzy drinks and delicious food, he busy capturing every bit of the acton!

Pictures: Very good quality in a non pretentious style, the wedding was like a dream of course but lets not forget, it was also a VERY REAL moment in time, and we appreciate how he made sure the photos feel that way as well.

Shawn was the first photographer we reached out to, and since you’re reading this it’s obvious that he was our only. We were just inquiring about the date when he mentioned that he’s open the next afternoon for a test shoot and said we could meet up if we liked. We went ahead just to see how it goes and from seeing the previews we ended up booking him immediately after. Now let me just say that we LOVED the photos, and Shawn is an incredible photographer! We didn’t really need to book an engagement session after that because the previews were sooooo good, but for quality at this price point we actually scheduled an additional session. This one was done at our place in Capitol Hill, it was simple, under 2hrs, and gave us an whole different set of photos with very homey vibes. And yes, we loved them too! We felt really good about going forward and booked him for the wedding as well and that was probably the best decision aside from doing the test in the first place. It was a hectic time for us trying to get the wedding together in just a few months and we’re so lucky we had Shawn helping us out, everything from making a timeline to the walk through in rehearsal to the sparkler exit, he proved to be as top notch as anyone can ask for. Book him! The Photos are gorgeous. The quality is high-end. I don’t even how or where he was to get some of the pics, as they feel so in-between and lovely at the same time, but I’m not concerned with it as much that it’s just nice to know he’s phenomenal at what he does.

Shawn’s photography was a perfect addition to our wedding goals! He’s awesome, super helpful, made us a timeline and even met up with us to check out the venue. His vibe is really laid-back in an easy going kind of way, and because we were looking to have a not so traditional ceremony with a smaller get together, his persona fits with the spirt of our day perfectly.

In total we had him for 6hrs of coverage, and was just the right amount, we managed to fit in all the main items: ceremony, bridal portraits, family photos, toasts and parts of the dinner/reception.

With the quality of photos delivered (about 4weeks) we pretty much got the best deal out there! He captured all the things we loved about our wedding, and you can tell he takes it seriously as his attention to detail and his preparedness was very assuring.

Would highly recommend if you prefer someones who’s more casual and friendly while being focused and thorough with service

Probably the best photographer out there! It would take too long to list all the great things we want to mention, but in short he’s the most stellar and gifted artist/photographer we’ve come across!

He offered to do a test shoot and we were able to set up a meeting easily since my fiancé and I are open on afternoons and thats usually when(we learned) the lighting is perfect for photos outdoors. We met up at the City Arboretum and the timing couldn’t be more perfect as autumn was in full swing and we got to see the changing leaves of the maple trees in the photos.

We liked his confidence in getting us great shots as he encouraged us to think less about he outcome or what the photos might look like. It was very effective as we eventually become less mindful of what we should be doing and just enjoyed each other’s company and had a wonderful time. Plus we got on really well together which also made us feel normal to just do our thing:) And we should say it was definitely true romance documented in the pics;) A Good way to spend an afternoon for sure!

It was delightful to see the previews shortly after the session as they were incredible! We quickly placed an deposit and a later found out that it’s refundable 4 months prior to the wedding which gave us an added sense comfort as we were still in the very beginning stages of sorting out the date and venue.

The communication was always a breeze, and he was always friendly and warm and kind. And we never had to wait too long for a response:)

The wedding was much more relaxed than I thought it would be, and it was nice to have Shawn being there with us. The photos are seriously good too, and theres loads of them! They’re provided in web and print formats, which comes in handy if you want to make a print album.

He’s by far the best option! Priced very reasonably and with our budget in mind there was no question about booking him!

In our opinion Shawn was by far the most important hire for our wedding day, we wanted to keep it small and hold an intimate gathering at our home, and his style was perfectly suited to the plan we had in mind. The photos are very done from beginning to finish, and it fits wonderfully with the intimately themed ceremony. It almost brings tears to my eyes when we look back through those pictures, they are the most heartfelt and vivid memories that we’ll forever hold on to. We’d highly recommend going forth and reserve your date with him, he’s just a wonderful photographer who’s in it for the love of people and relationships –and perfect if you happen to fancy a calm and peaceful wedding day.

Photography was definitely an essential part of our event, and we’re really happy with how he handled on that front. We love the artistic aspect of his style, all the pictures really brought out the spirit and celebration that we hoped to capture –there are so many good ones that it’s impossible to pick a favorite! For our engagement session we opted to stay local and spend the entire afternoon uncovering the charm of those cafes and shops we frequented. San Francisco is our home, it's probably one of the most interesting places to live in.
