  Superb Planning and Melting Wedding Stresses Away

  We hired Laura to help us design and coordinate for the month of the wedding. We had multiple virtual meetings to nail down the vibe we were aiming for. We communicated that we wanted a minimally wasteful and sustainable event and Laura was able to work within those confines to make our day look and feel magical. Through Serendipity and Laura, we could utilize the Aisle Planner platform, and this was a really easy way for us to organize and pass everything over to Laura and her team on the big day. It had a really neat feature for us to make a seating chart for our wedding venue's exact layout. It also allowed us to see the progress of our checklist as a project management tool. The platform was very versatile and allowed us to stay on top of wedding planning in the months leading up to the big day. Laura had to leave us for maternity leave but left us in wonderful hands, and we trusted that Laura would have someone else as equally professional and amazing as Laura.

  Simply the BEST!

  We found Laura at a time when we postponed our wedding twice and our first venue cancelled on us due to renovations. We were burned out in trying to plan and plan again and having things not work out. Laura came and gave us hope, guidance, support, advice, and walked us through every step of the way! We didn't have to do anything, just told her what days and times we were available and she did the rest!! Due to the pandemic, we had a few more ups and downs, but Laura was fantastic with each new curveball that came our way. Our wedding would not have happened if it weren't for her and all the hard work she put into pre-wedding planning and coordination. She was punctual, responsive, and lifted our spirits throughout the whole process all while she was having a baby!! She transitioned us to Veronica of Type A Soiree seamlessly for the final weeks and day of coordination and it turned out to be the BEST day of our lives!!! We are so happy and so thankful to have such wonderful vendors thanks to Laura - she's really empathetic, thoughtful, and has a great eye for detail! Our day was everything we'd ever hoped for and more. Laura is the best and you won't have to worry about a thing because you're in good hands!!

  Laura is an absolute gem!

  I went into planning my wedding pretty early on this year and thought- I have everything lined up. But when it came to actually concocting my dream decor/design of reception and ceremony- I was clueless! And on top of that, with the wedding nearing, I was internally freaking out because all my vendors kept contacting me and I just felt defeated and overwhelmed. Luckily for me, Laura stepped right in and helped me and my husband feel at ease. She was thorough with my vendors, she was communicative whenever I contacted her, and she really was my advocate in every aspect of our wedding. She ensured I was stress free on my wedding day (I was so anxious!). She and her assistant even observed my husband and I letting loose (and getting a little too crazy.. sorry Laura!) I wouldn't have had it any other way! I'd 100% recommend her and her team to anyone.

  Amazing planning team!

  I could not be more grateful to Laura and her team for planning a beautiful reception for us! From the beginning, more than a year out, Laura was extremely helpful, set expectations well, and made the process flow easily. Communication was excellent - any questions I had were answered by the end of the day. Laura's attention to detail was incredible and she coordinated everything with outside vendors perfectly. I am so glad I used a full-time planner for the whole process. THANK YOU for a beautiful reception!

  Planning a wedding with Laura Schwandt (Serendipity Events) was easy and fun!

  Planning a wedding with Laura Schwandt (Serendipity Events) was one of the best decisions we made. She brought a level of professionalism and experience that made a difficult task not only manageable, but fun. She was responsive to our needs from day one and flexible with last minute changes. She kept us on track from start to finish and made us feel confident we could pull off the wedding of our dreams.
  
  From the planning stages all the way through the rehearsal and wedding Laura kept everything running like a well oiled machine. She made sure we didn’t have any stress on the big day and coordinated all of our other vendors. Her experience and confidence were invaluable and her recommendations for outside vendors were spot on. With her guidance and support our wedding day went off flawlessly. If you are looking for a reasonably priced wedding coordinator with experience and know how, look no further than Laura! Thank you for all your help!!!

  Perfection!

  I’m in utter shock not only because my wedding weekend is over but how insanely talented Laura and her team at Serendipity Events was throughout the whole planning process. Even with Laura having a baby and taking time to settle into motherhood, she did not miss a beat! She made planning a San Diego wedding from Northern Michigan simple, fun and stress free. All of her vendor recommendations were just as easy to work with, professional and exactly what I was looking for. I felt like Laura really listened to my wants and needs and was able to execute it exactly as promised. If you are looking for an organized, composed visionary for a wedding planner, Laura is your girl! She not only made my dream wedding come true, but I also feel like I’ve made a friend for life!!

  THE BEST!! I honestly don't even know where to start with how unbelievably amazing Laura is!! Laura is so organized, creative, thoughtful, flexible, and patient and made the entire wedding planning process not only not stressful, but enjoyable! She helped make our wedding day the absolute best and I cannot imagine going through this process without her. She truly goes above and beyond and and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

  Laura is incredible!! I loved her from the beginning, so much so that we hired her after a phone call and email. When I was searching for a planner, Laura was the only one of the several I'd talked to that asked about and included my then fiancé in the conversation. It was really important to us that the wedding was "our wedding" and we appreciated that she included him from the start.
  
  We used Laura to design and plan our wedding - I know nothing about weddings so we needed the help! She has a fantastic network of vendors. We used quite a few of her recommendations and were beyond happy with every single one. Laura is incredibly organized, met and checked in with us regularly, was always on top of everything, and kept us on track with our to-dos. And anytime I started to stress myself out, Laura would put things into perspective.
  
  But, the most impressive part of all is her creativity and design. I didn't give Laura much to work with at the beginning - we had a venue, colors we liked, and a handful of photos. Laura was somehow able to translate this and our "vision" (which was basically several random adjectives thrown together) into a magical and incredibly beautiful night. Every detail was perfection!
  
  The week of the wedding was a breeze. I didn't have to think or worry about a thing, and I had the most relaxing, stress-free wedding day. Hiring Serendipity is the best decision we made - I wish we could have a wedding every year just to work with her over and over again!
  
  Laura, I can't thank you and your team enough. Because of you, we were able to truly enjoy the day and you know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts!

  Laura and her team made mine and my husbands dreams come true with our destination wedding to Lake Arrowhead! They listened to everything we wanted and exceeded all our expectations. We always received an email back with answers to our questions and the day of was smooth sailing thanks to them. I cannot thank Laura enough for making the best day of my life the best. I highly recommend using serendipity events for your next event!!

  Working with Serendipity Events was a dream! I was the maid of honor for a December wedding and they turned it into a beautiful Christmas/Winter Wonderland. Everything was run so smoothly and the bride and her family and wedding party could focus on spending time together getting ready and enjoying the day. Laura and her team are so professional and extremely creative. Coming from a group of non-creative people, they could take a small idea and turn it into a dream! The wedding and day was beautiful and perfect! Serendipity Events, thank you for making this day perfect and so much fun. You were so much fun to work with in this past year.

  We just had my daughter's wedding this past weekend and it was perfect! Laura and Serendipity Events worked their magic to create a spectacular holiday themed ceremony and reception at Brick. Laura was fabulous in all steps-from ideas to implementation. When I walked into Brick I saw exactly what I had envisioned in my head. Laura has a calm way of leading you to exactly where you want to go. She is creative with her ideas, but always listens to your vision. Laura works quietly behind the scene with venues and vendors and before you know it the day is here and it turns out beautifully! When you ask her what you can do to help, her answer is to just enjoy the day. Love that! I wish I had more children so we could plan another wedding. It was just that much fun. We had so many comments from guests that this was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. I highly recommend Serendipity Events for all your event planning. They were awesome in every way!

  We chose day of coordination, which is at the very least in my opinion totally necessary if you choose a site where you are bringing in a lot of vendors. This also includes assistance with running your rehearsal. No matter how organized you may think you are having someone there with your plan in hand will make your day run so much more smoothly. Laura at Serendipity Events was great, taking charge exactly when we needed her to. The day before and day of you are not thinking clearly and to have her there telling us how things work and what to expect was so very helpful and supportive. I had a pretty clear plan with some improvisation needed with decor and design and Laura and her team put everything together perfectly. They came prepared with their own supplies and were there with smiling faces at every corner asking what I needed and at some points handing me things I knew I needed but didn't even ask for. It was so amazing to float through my wedding day worry free watching my dream day come together with the help of their coordination efforts! Our guests had such a great time and commented a lot on how organized and flawless everything was. Definitely recommend Serendipity's services!

  My husband and I had the most amazing, stress-free wedding day thanks to Laura and her team. It was seriously perfect! We planned our San Diego wedding from the east coast and wanted to ensure that it would all come together the day of, so we booked Serendipity Events. In the months leading up the the wedding, Laura checked in constantly, answered all my questions, and provided fantastic vendor suggestions. I felt like she definitely went above and beyond what I expected for "day of coordination". On the actual day of, everything was executed to perfection! The decor was absolutely beautiful; we stuck to our timeline; we actually ate (!!); and most importantly, we were able to just relax and enjoy ourselves. If you're thinking that you don't need a planner/coordinator (like I originally did), you're wrong! It's 100% worth it to enjoy every minute of your big day!

  Laura at Serendipity Events makes magic happen!! My husband and I opted to secretly elope so our day could just be about us and our love, but we still wanted to get beautiful photos that captured who we are and the feeling of our special day. Laura helped me design a gorgeous sweetheart tablescape and styled a whole photo shoot to do just that. She scoped out spots with our photographer around the resort where we were staying and picked up and set up everything so I wouldn't have to lift a finger the day of. This gave me and my husband a chance to FaceTime with our friends and family to share our exciting news. Our day was stress free and amazing because of Laura!! She leaves no detail unturned and is so incredibly organized. And best of all, she is a joy to work with! You can really tell that Laura loves love and is truly passionate about her job.   Serendipity Events was definitely worth hiring to coordinate our wedding day. Laura is so level-headed and makes sure everything runs so smoothly that you would never know if there was a hiccup somewhere. I don't know of any and I'm pretty sure that's because of Laura.
  
  Serendipity's day of coordination package comes with a venue walkthrough that usually happens closer to the day of the wedding. However, I had no vision or ideas at all, and Laura was more than happy to walk through the venue with me and my MOH earlier so that we could discuss ideas on how to decorate our venue at the Safari Park. Fast forward to a few weeks before the wedding. Laura sets up a meeting to go over timeline and small details. I had been starting to become a little stressed about the whole thing and she was just so calm that it made me relax. The day of the rehearsal, Laura was there to run it and after, she took all the items that would be used the next day and I had absolutely no idea on how to tell her where things should be placed.
  
  On the day, I had no idea what was happening down at the ceremony site and venue since I was sequestered away in the bridal changing room. Laura came by to deliver the personal florals and to let me know that everything was going great. My first look at the venue was when I walked down the aisle with my parents. It was breathtaking. I don't know how, but Laura was able to read my mind, take whatever I was envisioning, and made it better. Everything was beautiful and placed perfectly. All our guests kept coming up to tell us how gorgeous everything was and I kept pointing them towards Laura because I had absolutely nothing to do with it except for providing the actual items to be used.
  
  All in all, Laura is the best person to have at your side. She is calm, she is professional, and most of all, she will make sure that your wedding day goes by perfectly.

  Grateful to have Laura in my corner

  Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard. I ended up booking with Laura after the planner I had booked ended up not being able to work with us due to an unforeseen circumstance. At the time (pre-pandemic) our wedding was going to take place at the Kona Kai Resort. Our catering manager at the Kona Kai referred Laura when we told her we were needing to book someone else. I had spoken with Laura before I booked the first planner and really liked her energy when we had spoken on the phone so with the recommendation, it was easy to want to move forward with her. Thankfully, she had my date available! Soon after, Covid-19 hit and there was so much unknown. Laura was so wonderful getting on the phone with my mom & me to help ease our worries and relay as much information as known to her as opening and closing plans were changing daily in San Diego. Ultimately, the tough decision was made to change venues to Coasterra as we had to cut our guest list considerably and we felt Coasterra was a better fit for the more intimate wedding we were now planning. Laura rolled with the punches with us and helped us start planning a whole new wedding.
  
  I purchased a partial planning package with Laura as many of the key vendors had already been booked. While I think I may have misunderstood what I was getting with the partial planning package, Laura was fantastic are coordinating all of the vendors once they were booked. She was detailed and ensured our day went off without a hitch. She brought a great, can-do attitude to our planning process and was very solution-driven as there were a lot of unusual requirements due to the pandemic and county/state guidelines.
