Michelle was a godsend of a Day of Coordinator. From our first intake call, I knew I had made the right choice. Every step of the way her expertise made the process of organizing the wedding a breeze. From establishing a great timeline (and seamless adapting it when aspects of the wedding ran longer than the expected), corralling my husband and I's family for the rehearsal m, fitting all our decorations in her car, setting up the decorations so beautifully, organizing the procession, to tracking down my mother for the cake cutting, every time I asked for some from Michelle she delivered. Michelle was fantastic! About a month before the wedding I realized there would be quite a few moving pieces so decided to look for a day-of coordinator on short notice. Michelle was very responsive and immediately up for the task. She was very flexible with evening calls and asked great questions to make sure we were on the same page. She was helpful throughout the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding everything went off without a single hitch! My mother-in-law was also very grateful for the last minute help with the cookie table.
Michelle was kind, organized, responsive, and efficient. Would hire her again and recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat! -

We hired Michelle for her partial planning services, and we're very happy we did! Michelle was very pleasant and easy to communicate with throughout our wedding planning process. She was professional on all of our phone calls, at our walkthrough, and on the day of. Amazing day of wedding planner
Michelle was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was accommodating to all of the changes that happened day of due to the weather and was quick to make sure everything was accounted for and fixed to make things less stressful. She knew what was needed and was always on top of everything to make sure things went smoothly leading into the wedding and that all the vendors were on the correct time tables as well! Id absolutely reccomend her to anyone who needs a wonderful affordable wedding planner! -

Mrs.Michelle was great! She was very organized from the beginning. I was referred to her by my twin sister. She was her wedding planner and her wedding went so smoothly. She was very professional and experienced. Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but Mrs. Michelle helped every step of the way. From providing vendors to following the wedding timeline, she exceeded all my expectations. The decor was beautiful and my wedding was easily one of the best days ever!! Thank you!! :)

Wedding Planning for Bride and Groom!
Where do I start!! From the moment we met Ms. Michelle, we knew we could relax and trust her with our special day. She recommended our photographer, DeJohn Davis, and I’m forever grateful. She is so experienced and professional! I was able to stay calm and enjoy the wedding process. The day of was very smooth and we had the best day ever. My twin sister now has her as a wedding planner, she’s in great hands! Thank you so much! Truly special and unforgettable experience! Helping hands
I would like to thank Michelle and her assistant for helping with the the day of my daughter's wedding. It was nice to have someone else step in for me. This was a great relief because I was able to sit back and enjoy my daughter's wedding.
I reached out to Michelle as per my daughter-in-laws suggestion to have a day of coordinator so that I wouldn't miss this special day and what a great suggestion that was. Definitely a good decision to let someone else help for that special day. -

Michelle was amazing! I was juggling the wedding and an overseas move and was feeling a bit all over the place. I decided to do my own decorations on top of it all and just provided Michelle with boxes of decorations with no real instructions. Walking into my reception and seeing how she was able to put it all together was just amazing! Truly a life saver for the coordination in the few months leading up to the event, with confirming all vendors and such..and then to the day of. Extremely affordable! Extremely professional! Highly recommend! -

It has taken us a few months to write this review, because we were so irritated and blown away by the numerous, unprofessional ways Michelle messed up our wedding, reception, photographs, and video.
We contracted Sensational Signature Events/Michelle for a “day of coordinator”. In the beginning, she seemed on top of things. However, as we got closer to the wedding, we noticed things being off… As an example, we had to tell her numerous times who was in the bridal party (which was just our 2 children & 4 grands) even though it was given to her in writing! Also, she gave a date when she would be contacting the vendors & she did not.
We would not recommend Michelle to our worst enemy! Besides having numerous conversations, we gave her detailed written instructions regarding decorations, seating, time, music, etc. EVERYTHING was in writing and given to her days prior to the wedding, and she still messed it up!! All decorations were in labeled boxes and PRE-ARRANGED but she still messed it up!!
Here is a list of what she did incorrectly:
• She didn’t place my flowers and vases on the tables as requested.
• She didn’t place my 2 large flower balls on the step pillars as told. But, placed them where she wanted.
• The wedding was late because she didn’t get the wedding party in order to go out until AFTER the bride yelled down, she was ready & waiting.
• She didn’t put down our custom-made aisle runner. It was NEVER used!
• She was putting up the arch & flowers while guests were arriving!
• She didn’t put the signs in the correct places
• Guests sat any & everywhere. She did not follow my instructions and guide people on which side to be seated and make sure parents were on the front row.
• She was dressed unprofessionally! She looked like she was going to the park, not a wedding.
• We are pissed that she is in way too many pictures and videos standing around vs being behind the scenes!!!
• She refused to shake our son’s hand when he extended it to her. He’s an engineer.
• Guests were never guided into the study for hors d’oeuvres after the ceremony. Instead, they went straight into the dining / reception area.
• She made the bouquets & boutonnieres and said they would be beautiful. She was sent pictures beforehand of what was wanted. They were made with flowers not in the color scheme, the pedals were falling off (which means they were old), and they were thin. They looked like flowers from the grocery store!
• She will tell you she has something, so you don’t have to buy it. But will then send you a bill at the end for it. Versus, saying what she has and the cost up front.
She gave us most of our money back. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that she did not follow details that were given to her. It’s baffling! We have to now see her in over 50% of our wedding pictures and video!! What coordinator stands around the guests & in front of the filming crew, doesn’t know how to seat people correctly, or get the bridal party together so a wedding starts on time or dress professionally??!!

I have been a professional event planner on Wedding Wire since 2017 I successfully coordinated 32 weddings. I have all 4 and 5-star reviews. I have been named a top coordinator. This is the first non-favorable review.
This was a DIY wedding. I have successfully been the coordinator for non-DIY and DIY weddings.
Regarding the comment about having to tell me numerous times who was in the wedding I was told once and confirmed it once, which is standard practice.
I contacted every vendor on their list. This is standard practice.
I was nice enough to let the couple dropped off several boxes to my home. I had to open all the boxes and unwrap décor that was in packages not ironed. I did place the flowers in the centerpieces as requested. And I added my mirrors and votives to give the centerpieces some shine. Otherwise, they would not have looked as pretty as they did.
The only vase that I did not do as she wanted were 4 vases that was supposed to be empty. I put flowers in them to make them look better. Also, she wanted a couple of vases on the steps, and I thought that was unsafe for the guest, so I placed them in a safer place. As a wedding coordinator it is my duty to be safety conscious. I did not want any guest to trip and fall.
The wedding was 15 minutes late because I was working with the caterer who thought the couple was over their count and she would not serve appetizers/dinner until they paid more money, or remove some chairs. I was willing to pay more money for them! But instead, we figured out some people had cancelled so I relayed this to the caterer, we removed some chairs, and everything was fine, and we proceed. At the reception I had to find some guest seats that were not on the seating chart, and they were incredibly grateful.
The ceremony site had a fountain in the middle of the area. There was no where to put the runner. If the bride had consulted me, I would have advised not to purchase a runner.
The arch was late arriving to the venue. As soon as the groom delivered it, we decorated it. Only a few guests who arrived super early saw the arch being decorated. The arch was so light weight that we had to sandbag it down with water bottles for it to stay up.
The signs were made of light weight cardboard and kept falling off the easels. So, I put them in a place where the guest could see them and where I could keep an eye on them.
I spoke with the guest about seating. They told me they were all present and they were in the proper rows. I apologized that some guests were not on the bride or the groom side. In the end they are all one big family.
I greeted her son with a smile and said hello, nice to meet you. I was not rude. He did not have on a mask. Who shakes hands in the midst of a COVID outbreak. I have an 86-year-old mother and 2 grandchildren. I do everything possible not to get COVID. I did apologize for not shaking his hand.
There was no way approximately 100 guests were going to fit in a small cocktail area. In addition, several guests asked if they could sit down. Elderly people do not like to stand in a small area. In light of COVID I thought it best to accommodate the guest and let them take their seats in the large reception area instead of squeezing in a very small area of which they would not fit. After consulting with the caterer, we agreed this was good to do. The guests were served the appetizers and were happy to be sitting rather than standing in an overcrowded room. Some younger guest did stand at the few cocktail tables in the small room.
The flowers did not come from a grocery store. They came from a florist. The color was a little lighter than requested but it was in the family. The flowers were purchased the day before the wedding. The were NOT old. A couple of days after the wedding I was told by the couple that I executed the bouquet well.
While talking about decor, I offered the bride columns, and, in the end, we decided they were not needed. I removed them from the invoice. The comment about telling her something so she didn't have to but it is totally out of line. I offer decor but never pressure anyone, and never up sell or charge anyone extra. My prices are very reasonable.
At the end of the reception, I repacked all the boxes. The bride asked me if I could take some of their boxes home because they didn’t have enough space for all those boxes in their car. I lifted those heavy boxes and put them in my car and took them home. My car was packed once again with their belongs. Many Day of Coordinators will NOT do this.
I refunded every penny back for coordination and took a loss. She did not request a refund I volunteered to give it back. The majority of Coordinators will NOT refund your money.

This invoice was cancelled as soon as we were made aware that the two extra plate settings were no longer needed. Due to previous experience on more than one occasion, we don't move forward with food service if there is a guest count discrepancy during set up. So, you were good to go as soon as Michelle gave us the update. Our server removed the unneeded plate settings and we continued to rock and roll.

Regarding the photographer comment I try my best to not be in any photos. If I unknowingly get caught in the camera while working the wedding/reception I immediately move out of the way, the photographer/videographer will wave at me or they will zoom me out. Also, I tell all photographers/videographers to please do not take my picture.
