A truly magical night
We found ourselves in a serious pinch when our original officiant canceled just a month before our wedding, and we were so nervous about losing the personal touch we’d always imagined for our ceremony. Enter Chuck, who immediately put all of those fears to rest.
From our very first conversation, Chuck was personable, calming, and completely professional. He offers a wonderful variety of ceremony styles and formats, which gave us the perfect foundation to build something that truly felt like us. We added personal details and meaningful touches, and the end result was a ceremony so genuine and heartfelt that you would never have known Chuck hadn’t known us for years.
He struck the perfect balance of warmth and polish, guiding the moment beautifully while keeping it intimate and special. We received so many compliments from our guests about how personal and lovely the ceremony felt.
We cannot recommend Chuck highly enough. If you want someone who will step in with grace, ease your stress, and deliver a ceremony that feels deeply personal and unforgettable, he is your person.

We are so happy with Sensational Ceremonies and Chris Thomas as our wedding officiant. Choosing an officiant is such a personal decision, and Sensational Ceremonies came highly recommended by our month-of coordinator. From the very beginning, Chris was incredibly personable, kind, and genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple.
I loved the amount of choice and care that went into crafting our ceremony, from vow options, to laniappes, to even our officiant’s wardrobe selection. The communication was spot on throughout the entire wedding process, and we were so grateful to Chris for helping us create such a meaningful and personal ceremony.

Chuck O'Connor was our officiant - and I couldn't recommend any one else! We got to meet him while we were in town before the wedding, and he was ready to get to know us and answer any questions or concerns we had. Not only was he knowledgeable and informative, he was also very flexible and understanding on how we would like to personalize our ceremony. He gave us a list of ideas to pull from, and after compiling our preferences, Chuck executed the ceremony perfectly. He even was able to make it seem engaging as we stood at the alter - he's not one of those without personality!

We had the honor of having Chuck be our officiant for our wedding day.
Everything about our experience with him was exceptional. Not only was he the warmest, most accommodating, and positive person. But he felt like a member of our family. We worked together to craft our ceremony, and it turned out absolutely beautiful.
His communication from the beginning was amazing. He was also very quick on his feet when we forgot an essential item for our ceremony. He improvised effortlessly and made light a potential disaster.

Steve Trahan of Sensational Ceremonies
He is professional, personable, and friendly. He had beautiful options to choose from for the ceremony script, and the contract was simple and easy to read.
We hired him 12 days out from the wedding due to major issues with our former officiant, and he stepped in with precision and grace.
He arrived early and mailed the marriage license for us with no extra fee!
We were extremely impressed that less than 24 hours after we sent him our selections on the many different scripts that he had for us to choose from, that he already had it ready for our proofreading and approval, he really is so time oriented, and professional, it calmed our stress levels! In fact, we sent our script selections from options at 11:06pm on a Tuesday night, and the next day, Wednesday at 3:20pm, he sent us the finalized version to look over, he got our edits back to us half an hour later, this truly made us feel prioritized, and that he is on top of deadlines and communicative!!
He spoke beautifully during our service, and added humor at the right moment, which made things extra special, he even mailed the marriage license for us, and it was just such a good experience.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Rev. Rick with Sensational Ceremonies for our wedding on May 2, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency on Clearwater Beach. We had a destination wedding, (traveled from Chicago, IL) and had no relations to Rev. Rick, but meeting him on our rehearsal day, it felt as if we have known him a long time with how welcoming he is.
Rev. Rick is absolutely amazing. He will do everything he can to accomodate you, he was extremely helpful during the whole planning process, and he is all around very professional. He is very good at what he does, and our wedding ceremony was seamless all because of him. I cannot recommend Rev. Rick enough and I am so thankful we had him officiate our special day!

We chose Rev. Chuck O'Connor with Sensational Ceremonies to marry us in Tennessee. He was extremely thorough and provided us every bit of information that we needed to plan our ceremony. He also provided timelines for license application, information for name change etc. He was a delight to work with and was available to us through our entire planning process. It was like having your best friend to marry you. He also gave me the reassurance that everything would go perfectly, Our venue made the recommendation and I am so glad they did. Rev Rick is the best!
Rev Rick was gracious enough to marry us on St Pete Beach FL at Hotel Zamora and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! I’m so happy with everything he did for us- meeting us in person to go over what we wanted in the ceremony as well as adding different prayers or comments specifically for us. He took great care of us and really made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did on our wedding day!

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant than Pastor Chris Thomas. From the very beginning, he was incredibly accommodating and flexible, always willing to tailor the ceremony exactly how we envisioned it. He provided several options for ceremony scripts for us to tailor to what we wanted, and even offered us options for what he could wear—sharing a selection of suits, ties, or even a robe so we could choose what felt right for our day. He was very reliable and communicated throughout the entire process. What stood out most was how genuine he was. It never felt like he was just there to check a box—he really took the time to get to know us and our families, and made us feel completely comfortable. He brought such warmth and care to the whole experience, and even had our guests laughing during the ceremony with his great sense of humor! Rev. Rick Lackore married us this past March and the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. He guided us through the entire process. He helped us formulate the best ceremony structure for us as we wanted a non-denominational ceremony due to our families having different religious backgrounds. Our wedding ceremony at the banyan tree in downtown St. Petersburg was absolutely perfect thanks to Sensational Ceremonies of Tampa. Reverend Rick was exceptional - his communication before the big day put us at ease, and his officiation struck just the right tone during the ceremony. We were particularly impressed by how seamlessly they coordinated all the vendors, from the talented harpist, Kristen Hoyos, who provided beautiful ceremony music to the videographer, Edmund Rhodes, and photographer, Tammy Lackore, who captured every special moment. The entire team's professionalism and attention to detail made our day stress-free and exactly what we'd hoped for. Rev Rick and Tammy were absolutely amazing. They have a way of making you feel like you've known them forever. On 12/7/24, we had a intimate ceremony with our parents and siblings and it was everything we could ask for. We were able to have our 100 year old grandma in attendance and it was truly a blessing. Rev Rick and Tammy provided amazing communications and advice before, during and after the service. The day would have not been perfect, without them. They were so accommodating and we were able to bring some of our Indian heritage with a 'Thalee' ceremony during the ceremony. We appreciate you both for everything and cannot recommend you both enough!!

We can say with complete confidence that working with Reverend Rick was the best choice we could have made for our ceremony. After having to cancel one wedding due to catastrophic weather events, Rick gave us a positive, comforting, and professional experience on our newly-rescheduled “big day.” He was able to accommodate our short, nebulous timelines, and provided an easy guide to constructing the perfect ceremony.

For years my now husband and I anticipated having my grandfather marry us but he sadly passed away before being able to do so. We were struggling to find someone to replace him that we would feel connected with. Our venue suggested Sensational Ceremonies and we were introduced to Rev. Rick From the start, Rev. Rick was a warm and gentle personality off the bat. His instructions were clear and easy to accomplish. Not only that but he made a customized ceremony reading for us! Rick Lackore was absolutely wonderful in every way! We initially were going to use a family member as our officiant, but we decided against that and our photographer Tammy advised us that her husband was ordained and able to perform the ceremony, so we decided to go with him. We're so glad we did! From the initial consult, Rick was absolutely great to work with. He gave us multiple options to choose from for our ceremony words, and when speaking with him before the wedding, he really helped to personalize it and make it ours. During the day of the wedding, Rick and Tammy arrived even before they said they would (over an hour drive during Monday rush hour, and right before a major hurricane!) and started getting to work right away. The wedding was completely DIY and we are so thankful to Tammy and Rick for their guidance along every step. We didnt even do a rehearsal dinner, but they were both incredibly helpful before and during the ceremony, from telling how things were gonna go, to showing us how and where to stand, and so much more. They really helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives!

😍Rev Rick was incredible to work with! We wanted a minister who was inclusive as I was afraid to be blessed by someone who didn't align with my values, especially as an ally and since my partner isn't religious. They took the time to get to know us and were very flexible with our requests. They also shared very useful references throughout and even post-ceremony.

We used Sensational Ceremonies for our wedding in June specifically Greg and it was a wonderful process.
We had a destination wedding so had to do meetings on the phone beforehand but Greg met up with us on one of our trips to the area for coffee which was so kind of him to do in his Saturday morning. The paperwork and documents from Sensational Ceremonies are dry detailed and thorough. You can pick and choose to customize a services that works for you and your family.
We enjoyed the process so much. Reading through everything and see what each other were drawn to and making our own little mash up of things.
Greg helped up too with flow and timing and wording. Everything was perfect in the end.
He showed up early and checked with us to see if he could help in any way. Handled documents for us after the wedding and has even checked in on us a couple times since.
I would not only recommend using Sensational Ceremonies I would also highly suggest choosing Greg. You won’t be disappointed and will feel at ease the entire way through.

Our experience with Sensational Ceremonies was in fact SENSATIONAL! Affordable pricing and exceptional service! We had the privilege of having Rev Rick as our officiant for our wedding. From the beginning of booking him, to the day of the wedding, Rev Rick has amazed us with his communication, kindness, punctuality, and overall passion in the wedding industry. He took the time to get to know us as a couple to ensure he would create a ceremony that best suited the both of us. He worked patiently with us as we created in collaboration our ceremony breakdown. Beautiful East Tennessee Ceremony!
We had Cy from Sensational Ceremonies officiate our wedding, and it was such a great experience. Cy was instrumental in helping us put together our dream ceremony. The script was perfect and he helped direct the guests afterward. He did a great job of supporting my husband and I, keeping the event light hearted and setting the exact tone we were looking for. It was so great working with him and Sensational Ceremonies! And it was so nice that he helped file our marriage license since we were not local to the area!

We could not be happier with our experience working with Reverend Rick Lackore. He not only officiated our wedding ceremony, but also led my husband and I in marriage counseling leading up to our big day. From the very beginning Reverend Rick was extremely professional, prompt and prepared for every single interaction while being gracious regarding our busy schedules.
The ceremony was an aspect of our wedding weekend that we held in high regard, and Reverend Rick allowed us to create a ceremony that was meaningful to us. We spent a great deal of time crafting this portion of the event and in the end, it was the perfect blend of our Catholic faith, our family values and elevated ceremony prose, thanks to the flexibility, guidance and presentation of Reverend Rick.
Our friends and family have shared nothing but reviews of immense positivity of Reverend Rick’s delivery. My husband and I could not have dreamed of a more magical wedding ceremony. Reverend Rick kept the ceremony sacred while infusing candid bits of personality and humor. His instruction also kept everyone and everything in beautiful balance.

My husband and I recently got married on the beach at The Don Cesar. Reverend Rick was our officiant and his wife, Tammy, was our photographer. They were absolutely wonderful and made our special day perfect! Reverend Rick was helpful and made us feel very comfortable. He provided a beautiful ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. The best experience!
We could not have been happier with the ENTIRE experience with Reverend Rick and his wife, Tammy! From the zoom meeting and email correspondence, we immediately felt comfortable and like our wedding would be just as we want it! And, the experience itself did not disappoint. We had a beach elopement on the beach and it was perfect and catered to us and who we are as people. We have not stopped using the word “perfect” to describe every aspect of it. Rick guided us along the way from where to have the actual ceremony, suggestions for the wording in the ceremony, getting our Florida license since we were out of state, flowers etc! He made it completely stress free and very very special! His wife, our photographer, was kind and relaxed and captured some amazing moments that we will cherish!!!! We can’t say enough good things and would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!!

Reverend Rick did our wedding ceremony on 3/9/24. He was great throughout the entire process. He was kind and very responsive. We met with him in person initially to discuss with him our vision for the ceremony. He provided guidance and suggestions to make our ceremony exactly what we envisioned. During our rehearsal he went over in detail what exactly would happen at each step which was so helpful because we were so nervous. Rev Rick did an amazing job with our ceremony and it was exactly how we wanted it! If you choose him to officiate your ceremony you will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything Rick!

My husband, Aaron, and I completed pre-marriage counseling with Rev. Rick a few months leading up to our ceremony. It was important for us to have a connection with our officiant and feel supported. Rev. Rick filed our marriage license, brought a microphone, and helped us draft the perfect ceremony. I do not have enough kind words to say about Pastor Brian! He is the definition of responsive and often reminded me of things that needed to be done. He lets you personalize the ceremony to your liking and added in his own personalizations throughout the ceremony as well instead of just reading off of a script. My wife and I received so many compliments on the ceremony thanks to him! He was phenomenal and my wife and I are forever grateful.

Amazing experience with Rev Rick Lackore at The Don Cesar
We purchased the elopement package with The Don Cesar. We eloped with our family and there was 10 of us total. Rev Rick was amazing! He is very organized and experienced. I felt calm prior and during the entire ceremony. The length of the ceremony was perfect. Rev Rick helped my 7 year old stepson feel comfortable and cooperative with the entire ceremony and all of the photos taken that day (as a side note, his wife Tammy was our photographer per the elopement package with The Don, she was also amazing and they work really well together). Our wedding ceremony was perfect and there is nothing I would have changed! Thank you both so much, we had a great day on December 29, 2023!

Great ceremony thanks to Rick and Tammy
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of having Rick officiate our wedding and his wife Tammy as our photographer. I cannot express enough gratitude for the beautiful ceremony he orchestrated. From the initial meeting to the last words he spoke, he was warm, sincere, and showed genuine passion for uniting us in marriage. What stood out most about Rick was his ability to personalize the ceremony and was very communicative leading up to the wedding date. Beyond his remarkable speaking abilities, Rick exhibited a calm and reassuring presence, which was very comforting. He seamlessly guided us through the process, ensuring that every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. Tammy was an excellent photographer and was fun to work with. Furthermore, she was quick with the photo editing and responsive to any requests that we had. We are still in awe of the incredible moments she captured on our special day. You could tell that she had previously scouted the venue beforehand because she suggested photos at locations we weren’t aware of. My wife and I are very happy with the service that Rick and Tammy provided and would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family in the future.

Greg Gasaway was incredible to work with. He was easy to talk to and really wanted to know about us during our meetings with him. He is very personable and made us feel very comfortable. Greg was readily available to answer all our questions and walked us through everything. He delivered a beautiful ceremony and put in some tidbits from our conversations with him that made the ceremony unique to us. We had such a great experience with him that we asked him to stay after for the reception!
