The Best ❤️❤️

Stephanie was a great photographer for our big day. When she found out we didn't have a wedding planner during our initial consult meeting, she also gave us some great tips/hints, which led us to feeling a little less overwhelmed with it all. During that first meeting, Stephanie made sure to walk through the general look and feel of what she'd be doing during our wedding. We went over a pretty comprehensive list of family/group shots that we wanted, and she assured us that the day was going to be special.

When she showed up for the day of the wedding, she was prepared and professional and definitely knew how to handle two anxious grooms who were running around making sure everything was good for the festivities. My partner and I just let Stephanie take the reins for how our photos were done, and I'm sure she would have preferred a *little* guidance, we're so glad we did, because her ideas were better than anything we could have come up with. Also, having that list of group shots was so important, because it made taking pictures with all of our family and friends fly by.

As for the ceremony and reception, Stephanie was adept at blending in/not being noticed while capturing all the memories we could hope for. The pictures have been fantastic, and I don't know if there's a better person who can take two awkward guys, put them in what seem like awkward poses, and make beautiful pictures. Thank you so much Stephanie!

Simply the best!

Stephanie has captured all of our biggest life events and we just can't imagine having gone with anyone else. We first worked together a few years ago and she proved herself right away as she helped me plan an amazing surprise proposal. Everything was perfect. A few months later she captured the most wonderful engagement photos after helping us choose the when and where, aside from photography she really has a knack for planning and timing. After covid forced us to postpone our wedding we decided to elope and Stephanie did an amazing job once again. For a fourth time we worked together, this time on our wedding day and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. She did a great job of keeping all of us on time and in place, while setting up some absolutely amazing shots. In hiring Stephanie you will not only get a great photos, you will also get someone who cares, is very attentive, and helpful in ways that go beyond photography. We absolutely recommend Stephanie and her business and hope to work together again one day!

Simply the best!

We were so lucky to have had Stephanie be our wedding photographer! Her warm, friendly and calm energy combined with her expertise really added so much to our special day! From our initial consult and throughout wedding planning, she was always responsive to our questions and ideas. She also had some great vendor recommendations that we pursued. On our wedding day, Stephanie saved us from some stressful moments, including fixing the dress steamer, helping Naomi get buttoned into her dress and calming our youngest daughter when her nerves kicked in! Stephanie really listened to what kind of pictures we wanted and captured them all-including an amazing picture with our pug dog! So impressed with our whole experience!

If you are wondering who your wedding photographer should be, look no further. Stephanie is absolutely amazing. Not only is she a fabulous photographer, she is a genuinely kind person! She met with us before the wedding and has been very quick to reply via email with questions and concerns. During our entire wedding planning process, she was there to offer help and advice- she is very experienced in the wedding business!
On our wedding day, she helped us stay on time and made our photos very easy and comfortable. Our families were very impressed with the organization of the our group photos. During our first look and couples photos, she took us all over the venue to get different backgrounds and scenery. Our couples photos look like we took pictures in several different locations even through we never left the venue!
After the wedding, Stephanie sent us many more photos than we expected. All of them came out amazing! Also, if you can wait a couple extra days, you should ask to have your photos sent to you on a flashdrive...trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Stephanie gets 5 stars, she is wonderful, has a great personality and very professional. Highly recommend!!

Seattle Photographer for All Your Needs

Stephanie was a perfect fit for our wedding, working with us to coordinate and personalize at every step of the way. We wanted a photographer who wouldn't be interested in the "cheese ball" shots and would best capture our personalities (we're weird enough when we aren't awkwardly posed). She worked well with a variety of crazy, loud, weird people to make our day look as magical as it felt.

There is a small fee for paying with a credit card, so I do recommend having the cash funds avaialble when you can.

Dedicated Photographer

Stephanie is an amazing photographer and human being! She was one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding and she made me feel so much better about planning such a big event. Her list of recommended vendors for things like hair and make-up were great and I used many of them. Most importantly her pictures were amazing!!! At one point while taking pictures before the ceremony she suddenly yelled STOP and we pulled the car over in the middle of the road to take the most amazing photo of me an my husband through some lavender on the road median. She really is an artist and does magical things with her camera. She is amazing and you will love working with her!

Fantastic!

Stephanie at Seattle Flashing Lights is amazing. We’ve used her for years for our family photos, but we had the pleasure of having her photograph our NYE Wedding this year. We wanted small, intimate and casual so we did it at home. Probably not the most convenient backdrop for photos but she captured it all perfectly. My favorite part of her work is that she is genius and a photo ninja at capturing those little moments in life that happen between the photo moments. My daughter’s laugh, that intimate look shared when you think no one is looking, the joy in our eyes...it’s all there and I will treasure those special memories forever. I cannot speak highly enough about Stephanie. I whole-heartedly recommend her!

Very professional, high-quality photography

Seattle Flashing Lights photographed our engagement shoot and our wedding, and I couldn't be happier with the photos and the whole process. We met with Stephanie twice beforehand, and in addition to being very prepared and professional, she made us feel really comfortable. We walked through the wedding schedule together, and she brought a planning worksheet that was easy to fill out and made sure we would capture all of the moments and group shots that were important to us, so that during the big day, everything went smoothly and we didn't have to think about a thing. Her experience really showed. And the photos! She captured us, our families and friends looking our best, and the photos look like they could have come straight out of a bridal magazine. You could tell she really cared about us and making sure our pictures and experience was amazing. I will absolutely use her in the future for capturing life events!

The best photographer you could pick!

I can’t recommend Stephanie and Seattle Flashing Lights enough – we had the best photography experience possible for our wedding! Stephanie was amazing from the beginning of the process until the end of the wedding and beyond. Stephanie was so great to meet with several times before the wedding, to answer all our questions and help us plan the shot list. At the wedding Stephanie did an amazing job capturing all the group pictures we wanted while keeping us on schedule and corralling the wedding party and family. She also did a fantastic job capturing both the ceremony and the reception. The candid shots from the reception are absolutely wonderful and I love the way Stephanie captured all the joy in the room! Final photos were delivered on time and were beautifully finished. I would absolutely hire Stephanie again and would trust her to capture any important life events!

An art for capturing all the little moments

We are so happy to have had Stephanie as our photographer. She was so great to work with - professional, fun, and patient. She was able to roll with our quirkiness and did a fantastic job capturing all the fun little moments of our big day. I fell in love with her portfolio, captured by the way she seemed to catch these beautiful candid moments in such an artistic way. She did just that for us as well! Amazing experience all around

We booked Stephanie for our post-elopement celebration photos. From the beginning, she was awesome. SUPER responsive and great to help tease out the details of what we wanted when we weren't even sure. We had a rather unconventional celebration (we rented out our favorite neighborhood bar). The event itself had no real structure which I'm sure made her job that much harder, but she worked with us ahead of time to get a list of the key shots we wanted. She did an awesome job of capturing the spirit of the event and gently nudged us to make sure we got some of the more posed shots that we're so glad we have now. She's very talented and it doesn't hurt that she's also a lot of fun and uncommonly kind. We highly recommend working with her if you have the chance.

Stephanie is such an amazing and talented photographer! She was the photographer for our good friends' wedding, which is how we even knew about her. My (now) husband and I decided to do a small intimate wedding in a park with our families. We had wanted to keep it low key, but last minute we decided to reach out to Stephanie and see if there was any chance that she could work at our wedding. With less than one week's notice, Stephanie graciously rearranged her schedule in order to accommodate our wedding date and time. Stephanie was invisible throughout the ceremony- I never noticed her at all, yet I have all of these amazing pictures that she took of our ceremony. During the shoot after our wedding, Stephanie made everyone feel at ease and helped make poses feel natural. She has such a detailed eye for how the lighting and scenery will compliment her subjects! Stephanie is also extremely invested in her job and will even crouch in foliage to get a better shot! (which she did for us without us even asking) Everyone who has seen our wedding pictures has raved about them! My husband and I are obsessed with the pictures she took! Honestly, the best decision my husband and I made regarding our wedding was to hire Stephanie!!!

Stephanie is seriously the best! We did our engagement and wedding photos with her and all of our photos are amazing. She is really willing to get down and dirty to get good pictures. For us, she trudged through the snow, stomped around in beach grass, moved plant branches around to get the perfect shot, and the photos were amazing because of it. In addition to taking great outdoor photos, which since we spanned from the beach to the snow in our photos, was quite the challenge, she also takes amazing candids and posed photos. The photos from our wedding show us so many happy faces and small moments that we didn't know happened. Stephanie is incredibly friendly, talented, and is super responsive to any requests or emails. She was a dream to work with and we highly recommend her. We will definitely use her again as soon as we have an excuse to get more photos done!

Stephanie did such an amazing job with our wedding! We absolutely love all the photos and would recommend her for any event. She captured the special moments throughout the day. Stephanie was seriously one of the highlights of our wedding day and the entire process of planning the wedding. The pictures are absolutely amazing and she understood and captured our vibe and spirit perfectly. Stephanie was so awesome to work with! She traveled all the way to NY for us and still managed to be funny, uplifting and really accommodating with how crazy everything was on our big day!
My husband and I were very pleased with all of our pictures from getting ready, first look, family photos, ceremony, dances and all the way to reception. We love the angles of all the pictures and how there doesn't seem to be too much editing; it all looks natural!
We will definitely be using her again for other big life events so long as she doesn't mind traveling again!

I wish I could give Stephanie a million stars.

I'll start with our engagement photos. Awesome fun and calm person to run around Gas Works park with -- we didn't have a great idea of what we wanted, so she came up with a lot of fun and creative photos that were also really beautiful.

I was especially blown away at our wedding. First of all, our photos were AMAZING. She took SO MANY photos, of every guest and so many little details that I am so glad she took the time to capture, and worked with a lot of difficult lighting conditions.

Also, she really went above and beyond her job description. She helped me get into my wedding dress when my sister was having trouble figuring out the lacing (that lacing was complicated, and Stephanie has done so many weddings that she was totally knowledgable and willing to pitch in at that critical moment :-) ). She was an advocate for us when certain other wedding vendors were being troublesome, helping our vision come through the chaos. And, she helpfully suggested that we set aside some time for some couples' photos outside when other photo plans fell through due to random chaos. Those photos are my favorite photos from the whole day and I am so glad that she made sure that we had those. My husband was starving at that point, so Morgen, her also very awesome assistant, even brought him some food to help us out, which was very appreciated.

In short: Stephanie and Morgen were absolutely amazing and dedicated to making sure that we had the best day in every way possible. I am so forever grateful that Seattle Flashing Lights was there on our wedding day.

Sooo where to start? I think I may have had an advantage compared to others, as I was able to see Stephanie in action prior to even the thought of needing a photographer entered my mind. My sister was getting married, and had done a few sessions with Stephanie already (maternity, baby picture sessions) so it was a clear and easy decision for who she was using for a photographer. Even after disclosing that she would have to travel up the mountain in unfavorable weather conditions (think snow/rain spring conditions) in her Honda, trek down the slopes, and ride a chairlift up the mountain while managing to carry all of her gear.
To top it off, there really wasn't any kind of order to the whole ceremony, it was quick, wet, and there were A LOT of people that needed constant wrangling. In other words, you could say it was slightly chaotic. She worked pure magic.
The pictures were incredible, she somehow miraculously had managed to keep every one aligned and looking at the camera (kids included), several cleverly angled shots, and best of all her attitude about the whole situation was stellar. (I'm pretty sure she had fun!)
Fast forward to about two months later and I find myself engaged and looking at my wedding to do list. The first thing I accomplished was choosing my photographer. Boom. No brainer.
My wedding was laid back, also not super organized.. a 'fly by the seat of your pants' wedding in a way. Once again, Stephanie did wonders getting people's attention, correcting their poses, managing to get through our shot list (which I never thought would happen in a MILLION years), and performed everything with such ease. She is just naturally wonderful with people.
We had a TON of great pictures more than we could've imagined. The quality, editing and options of both black and white was incredible. When she let me know I could choose to have pictures edited- I just shook my head, there was no reason! They were all great! No doubt we will be back for more!!

Are you considering other photographers for your wedding? FORGET THEM. Your search is over. Flashing Lights is absolutely the way to go! Stephanie came out to the middle of nowhere for our wedding. It wasn't an easy place to find and we didn't have cell service out there. Before I even had time to worry about vendors having trouble finding it *POOF* she was there, directing people to where they needed to be and crossing off photos we had on our shot list. I was downright overjoyed that she took charge and corralled my hectic family.

I don't even remember seeing her during the ceremony, and yet she got every shot we wanted (even the ones we didn't think of) and from every different angle. Seriously, the final album made it seem like she brought a whole team along with her.

She was 100% the type of person I wanted as a photographer. During the family/bridal party session of the day, she knew exactly what to do with self-conscious people (most of my family) to make them feel comfortable and look like they might actually be enjoying themselves. We were fighting to keep perfect lighting from the setting mountain sun and she got everyone in and out of there in the blink of an eye. She was direct, precise and a wonderful presence to have on our team. I can't wait to move to Washington because I know I'll always have the best photographer in the world for all of our future milestones.

Oh, one more thing. She had a killer sense of humor which made my wedding day 10x more fun.

Stephanie is a photography goddess walking amongst mere mortals, to find the most outstanding talent and personality in one place is unheard of! I found out I was pregnant...surprise!...and while it was a shock for us with no preparation whatsoever I knew I wanted every amazing moment documented by the best photographer. The best photographer doesn't just mean the outcome of the photos though, it's an experience and when you live with a man that frowns at the camera...it's a challenge. I feel for the people that take up this occupation. Guys are tough...kids are even harder. Stephanie has been f$&@ing amazing from day one, excuse my language but I was about 40lbs heavier than usual, my guy dreading the shoot and i was nervous to say the least. I left that first maternity shoot knowing her and smiling because I could be damn good friends and just wished we could just go have a beer together after the shoot. She made 40 lbs pregnant look good but also made my husband actually SMILE...not a fake smile but a genuine 'that's why I fell in love with him' smile, that's a freaking feat on its own. Since then we've trusted no one else, she took our sons 3 month and 1 year shots, these are the only photos I have framed in our house, they are nothing short of amazing. Fast forward to our wedding (we're a bit unconventional and love doing everything backwards) she was a trooper, on top of a mountain in sleet and snow she took the MOST INSANE PICTURES EVER. I’m still working on having these photos blown up and framed around the home, there are so many amazing I haven't been able to choose 9 months later. We will NEVER use anyone else. Stephanie was so so good to work with. I think I would have been lost without having her skills on our special day. She was so flexible and receptive to any ideas we had. Also, she was able to corral my big family without a problem and made group photos so quick and easy!! Also, the photos! The photos are simply amazing and the captures were so breathtaking. I would cover the entirety of my house with the 700+ photos if it were socially acceptable-but it isn't. I cannot recommend her enough, really, she is so calm and down-to-earth. Stephanie is one of the most genuine and amazing people to work with. And her photography is even more amazing. She was great working with my husband and I as we figured out what we wanted for our event. She does amazing candid photos, which is what I love the most. Every time I look at the photos I think about that night and feel just as happy as I did then.

Many of the guests kept asking if she was a friend because she seem to fit in so well with our group. While I do think Stephanie would fit in very well in my friend group, I think it speaks more to her ability to be able to blend in and get the best shots.

Stephanie from flashing lights made our wedding day! I moved from Canada to marry my sweetheart and we opted for a small court house wedding. We didn't want to spend much but knew we wanted some memorable photos of our day. I scoured the Internet looking for a decently priced photographer but really wanted quality and creativity. I found both with Seattle flashing lights and fell in love with her portfolio. When I got a quote it was a simple choice! The day of the wedding Stephanie met us at the court house and made it so easy! My husband does not like having his picture taken but she made it so fun! We had some amazing photos at the courthouse in Seattle and then she drove us down to the waterfront where she took the most magical photos! We had such a good time with her and the photos captured our happiness. We have had so many compliments on our wedding album. I would reccomend this company again and again! Stephanie and her team are the best! We did both our engagement and wedding photos with her. My husband and I are hands down the most awkward people to take photos of, between blinking in every other picture and simply not knowing how to stand (just ask Stephanie), but somehow every photo we've taken with her has looked awesome. She's super quick to respond to questions, and super organized and efficient when it's crunch time. Stephanie takes the time to listen to what you want for photos, but also has tons of her own awesome ideas - thank goodness too, because otherwise our wedding pictures would have been pretty boring! Stephanie made us feel at ease during our wedding because we knew she had it all under control (even with some demanding family members!). I can't recommend Stephanie more and will definitely use Seattle Flashing Lights for future professional photography needs! P.S. Their photo booth is BEYOND awesome - multiple guests were commenting on the great high-quality camera and getting the photos sent directly to their phone!

I cannot say enough kind words about Stephanie and the amazing work she did for our wedding! My husband and I moved down to San Francisco a year ago and we decided to get married in wine country. However, being from Seattle we felt lost searching for a good photographer in the Bay Area to be a part of our big day. I knew Stephanie from a mutual friend years before our wedding, however was hesitant to reach out to her given that it would be a destination wedding for her. However, I did end up reaching out to her and she was over the moon to fly out to wine country and shoot our wedding for us. We could not have picked a more perfect photographer! Stephanie is one of those kind hearted people that is VERY easy to talk to and has a great talent for making you feel completely comfortable when you are getting your picture taken. My biggest fear was finding someone that my husband would feel comfortable enough to "pose" for and do the cute romantic pictures for our wedding... and Stephanie made it so easy for the both of us! Not to mention she has the most creative eye for amazing artsy shots! We will definitely be framing a ton of pictures to put around our house. Aside from her amazing personality and creative eye... what we cherished most was her ability to capture emotion in her photographs. We did not hire a videographer for our wedding (which I was bummed about, however we could not afford one with our budget). But after seeing the shots that Stephanie captured, I didn't need a videographer anyways. She did such an amazing job at capturing these little moments throughout the day that you can feel the power/emotion jumping right out of the picture and its as if I'm watching it happen all over again. We will be using Stephanie for all of our big life events and can't recommend her enough!!! We love her!

Stephanie and Doug are simply awesome - I really can't think of a better way to describe our experience with them! They did my and my husband's wedding and engagement photos. They were both super friendly and professional and made the whole experience really fun! They were also great with our dog at the engagement shoot, especially since she wasn't much for looking at the camera -- somehow, they still managed to get some fantastic shots with her.

Our pictures turned out AMAZING. I loved getting our flash drive with all our photos on it -- we ended up with close to 200 photos from our engagement shoot and almost 800 from our wedding! Stephanie responded to my emails super quickly and was always very flexible with scheduling. They were even able to stay an extra hour on the day of our wedding with no advance warning. I could not have asked for better in a photographer.

Overall: friendly, professional, and way talented. I would DEFINITELY book them again if I needed more professional photos done. They were one of the best vendors we picked for our wedding and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Giving someone 5 stars in any category means that you have absolutely no doubt in your mind that that person performed to such an extent that they basically raised the bar on what's been done before them. And this is why I make no hesitations clicking on that fifth star for every category in this Flashing Lights photography review.
I had the pleasure of not only hiring a wedding photographer and pre-wedding boudoir photographer, but the experience of making a genuine friend as well when I chose to work with Stephanie this past year. Upon meeting Stephanie I immediatley felt confident that she someone who was experienced in her trade and would not let me down in any way. She does this job because it is a passion of hers that she has been perfecting since she was a girl and this was so obvious by the photos I was seeing because they are not your run-of-the mill, very posed looking shots...they capture the individuals and tell a story. She is truly an artist.
I will always appreciate her calm, focused and extremely efficient manner for taking photos. She balances her work so gracefully with her friendly, charming and genuine personality, she is seriously such a great person to be around. I can't say enough about this girl, honestly. She hand delivered the hard drive of our wedding shots over dinner and red wine!

What can I say about Stephanie and Doug other than that they are awesome. They shot our wedding at the Brown Family Homestead outside of Leavenworth, and the pictures turned out amazing. They are a perfect combination of fun and professional. Encouraging us to get some fun memorable shots, as well as being stern enough to get those “distracted” family members in line, keeping things moving quickly and on time. They both did a great job at getting some beautiful pictures out of some terrible lighting conditions. With our package we received a half hour engagement shoot. Stephanie met us in the short time between when she was available and when we had to catch our flight out of Seatac. She got some amazing pictures for us. These guys will go above and beyond to make sure you have the most beautiful memories saved for a lifetime. I highly recommend Seattle Flashing Lights!

If you're thinking of booking Seattle Flashing Lights for your wedding, stop debating and just hire Stephanie and Doug as soon as possible! Not only is their work impeccable, they are professional, fun and accommodating. My husband was not at all excited to take engagement photos, but Stephanie and Doug were really good-natured and were able to get some smiles out of him.

A week before our wedding we found out that--due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances--Doug wouldn't be able to shoot the wedding. Before I had time to worry, Stephanie had already booked two back-up photographers who were equally amazing. I really appreciated that they had a contingency plan. We also opted for the great (and reasonably-priced) photo booth option that our guests loved. The day went smoothly, my husband was all smiles, and the pictures are soooo great!

Alright, the time has come for me to write my review and I'm stoked!

What can I say? Stephanie and Doug are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G....simply amazing! Stephanie did our engagement and maternity shoot which was a wonderful experience in and of itself and the finished product was even better! We love, love, love the photos! Almost a year later Stephanie and Doug photographed our wedding on Whidbey Island in June and I didn't think it could have been any better than the previous shoot BUT......it was!! They have such a wonderful air about them and really knew how to catch the feel of the event. I received our wedding pictures today and I could not stop smiling when I was looking through them because they brought me right back to that amazing day. The festive mood was practically oozing out of the photos. This stellar duo's schedule is filling up fast so I would suggest if you're even entertaining the idea of checking them out...do it now - you wont regret it :-)

Posing for photos is not something I usually enjoy doing, but the personability and skill of Stephanie and Doug of Seattle Flashing Lights makes an afternoon photo-session seem like a day at the park hanging out with close friends. Not only do they somehow seem to work magic by capturing every moment in wonderful lighting, but they also have great eyes for unique photos. My fiancé and I used their services for our engagement shoot and could not have been happier. They problem-solved in the moment to find alternative locations when bad weather and restricted roads arose, as well as dealt with the finicky nature of our dog to capture multiple amazing shots despite his bad attitude. Our experience with Seattle Flashing Lights Photography has been phenomenal! It began with our engagement session- it rained our scheduled day and we wanted to take photos outside. Stephanie was more than flexible in working with us to find a day that worked for us since we drove from Eastern, WA. The experience was amazing and the pictures were gorgeous. Stephanie was open to any and all ideas we had for poses and had some wonderful ones of her own.

We were fortunate enough to work with both Stephanie and Doug on our wedding day. They were so easy to work with! They are so fun and friendly but were also able to direct people so that we could get the pictures we wanted.

What an amazing experience we had with Stephanie and Seattle Flashing Lights Photography. We took a gamble with an online search for the perfect wedding photographer, and thanks to all the great reviews, we were able to find Stephanie! We are not the type to leave reviews, positive or negative, but we could not wait to write something about our experience. From start to finish, Stephanie went above and beyond what we feel any other photographer would have done. We eloped from Kansas to Seattle with no prior knowledge of the city. When the big day came, I was beyond impressed with the team work between Doug and Stephanie. They of course did every traditional photo for a wedding ceremony and reception, but they captured each one in an amazingly unique and artistic way. And taking such a typical event like a wedding and capturing it like that really speaks volume about how incredibly talented they are!
And throughout the entire ceremony and reception, whenever something happen… they were there! All of those little funny moments that help make your wedding day fun and even more memorable were perfectly captured. Friend who had too much wine and spilled everywhere; they were there. Friend somehow getting stuck in a heat vent; they were there. Grandma dancing inappropriately and you are wishing it would end; they were there.
But besides being skilled behind the camera, I think what really makes great photographers for events like this are their people skills. Both Stephanie and Doug are both so naturally charismatic that you and your guests can’t help but be completely comfortable in front of the camera. Most of the time, you don’t even realize they’re photographing you. And one thing they did that I didn’t expect them to was really take charge during those group shots. They were incredibly respectful but assertive while we were pulling people in and out for different groups, which made it a lot easier on us.
Five stars really don’t reflect high enough for how awesome Seattle Flashing Lights is! They make me want to get married all over again just so that I can hire them again!

My wedding to me was somewhat of a crazy disaster but we pulled through! Stephanie and Doug were so supportive and flexible with the schedule and took charge when there was no schedule. My photos turned out amazing even though the circumstances were less than desirable and I feel they went above and beyond to get what needed to be done without breaking a sweat. I was planning my wedding in Washington from California. I searched and searched for a photographer who had affordable prices as well as a great eye for pictures. And I found that with Stephanie at Seattle Flashing Lights Photography! I was able to email and talk with her a few times so she knew what I was looking for. She even made time to take some engagement shots (included in our package) of us 3 days before the wedding at beautiful Lincoln Park. My husband and I were so happy to meet Stephanie before the wedding, and with our quick photo shoot that Wednesday we knew we made the right choice. Stephanie made us feel so comfortable and at ease, which is hard to do with my husband who hates his picture taken. Stephanie is fun and energetic and makes picture take fun, and in turn that makes all you picture beautiful.
On our wedding day Stephanie and her assistant showed up early and went though and took pictures of everything. All the shots I wanted were taken, all of them. Some I didn’t even know I wanted were taken and I couldn’t be more pleased! She was able to capture my wedding day so beautifully! She was even kind enough to not take pictures of people shoveling in the amazing food in their mouths but she would have if we wanted her to.
Stephanie made my day better by being there and even helping on some of the random questions. Like where do I sigh on this marriage license?
All in all I want to say if you want beautiful pictures no matter the event choose Seattle Flashing Lights! I am partial to Stephanie, and I can tell you next time we find ourselves planning a trip to Seattle, we will be calling Seattle Flashing Lights to take some more memorable pictures of us!

I know that when I need photographs in the future, these two are the one's I will be calling!

These folks are amazing! We have received such RAVE reviews about our wedding photos. I cannot believe how absolutely beautiful they made everyone and everything look. Time and time again I ask myself: are they really that amazing with the camera or are they just incredible with photoshop?!? Either way, I literally CAN-NOT stop looking at my wedding photos!! They are incredible!! Seriously, we don't look that good in person, I don't know what Stephanie & Doug did, but it was nothing short of magical. And not in a "glamour shots" kind of way, but in a our-photos-should-be-in-a-trendy-wedding-magazine-cuz-it-would-sell-the-crap-out-of-anything kind of way.

Find them on facebook and see for yourself! (Kayan & Cody wedding at the Edgewater!) If you aren't booking them, you won't look as good as us. I'm Just saying!!

5 stars isn't nearly enough to rate Stephanie Skeffington and Seattle Flashing Lights! From the first moment, I knew I was making the right choice. Stephanie offered us an amazing price for engagement photos, a destination wedding in Maui, AND a Seattle reception. She is so amazing, friendly, fun, and professional, you just can't help but like her immediately! My husband does not like taking photos, and yet Stephanie was able to make him comfortable and has been able to take the best photos of him I have ever seen. Our engagement photos were beautiful! Then came time for the Maui wedding. Stephanie's communication surpasses anything you could hope for. She is quick and responsive, by phone or by email. She really helped me think about what I wanted for the wedding. Having her with us in Maui was like having another one of our friends at the wedding. And oh my god the photos! I cannot stop looking at them, and we've never looked so good. She really captured what was the most beautiful and amazing day of my life, and the fact that the pictures reflect that so perfectly is priceless. I love that they aren't super posey, just natural and beautiful. The other great thing is that Stephanie puts teasers on facebook nearly right away, which is awesome when you're an impatient girl like me! I had so many comments on how amazing the photos are, and being that we had such a small group with us in Maui, it was wonderful to be able to share some photos before we even returned to the mainland. She was very fast with the rest of the photos and getting us our log in for her website so we could look at the proofs, request edits, and offer friends and family the chance to make purchases. Once I approved them, she sent us the pictures on a jump drive, ours to do whatever we want with them. I have been so, so happy with Stephanie as our photographer. I really can't recommend Seattle Flashing Lights enough. You're crazy if you choose anyone else.

Stephanie was awesome! She listened to us, took our vision and gave us the most beautiful wedding/anniversary photos ever.
Because of her we are able to revisit our special day each time we look at our pictures.
I will be forever grateful to have had her as our photographer. She was our wedding angel photographer and will definitely be our photographer for the rest of our special events!

We needed photography services for our wedding and found Flashing Lights via a Craigslist ad. Truth be told, given their phenomenal rates we had mediocre expectations for them. We decided to do an engagement shoot to check them out first - the pictures turned out AMAZING! And we are not the kind of couple that enjoys the PDA that accompanies the engagement/wedding shoot...they really catered to us, our dogs, our familes... There were no hassles with regard to how to use the (700+!!)photos, additional edits, etc. Super accomodating, very professional and highly recommended! I CANNOT wait to have another excuse to book them :)

Seattle Flashing Lights was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. Complete with 8 hours of coverage and an engagement session included, they were very affordable but most importantly provided us a sense of easy that money can't buy. Stephanie was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, helping sort out a lot of the little details to maximize our time. We would highly recommend Seattle Flashing Lights to anyone in the market for a professional, energetic, talented, artistic, and just "all around awesome people to hangout with" photography company. We'll be booking with them in the future!

Stephanie at Seattle Flashing Lights is the best. She was able to accommodate everything that we asked, even the group pictures with 20+ family members came out great. We loved her personality and she was able to communicate with us to get the best shots. They include a free engagement photo shoot and we thought that it was cool that they posted "teaser" shots on Facebook a few days after the wedding, before the rest of the shots came out.

They had the best rates of all other photographers we found. They included full digital rights. Originally they mailed us a flash drive of full resolution photos but it broke in the mail. It took a little too long to get the proofs because of that. We ended up getting the photos via zip file.

Their website is "okay." It a little hard to navigate through all of the photos. You can order photos directly from them but we wished their rates were more competitive.

All in all, I'm 100% satisfied with them and highly recommend choosing SFL.

We are so lucky we found Stephanie & Seattle Flashing Lights! Stephanie's price was in our range, she's the most flexible wedding vendor on the planet, and she even researched places where I wanted to do our wedding photos because I was having trouble deciding. We were planning our wedding from 3,000 miles away and Stephanie discovered that an event was going on at one of the parks I suggested, which I never would've known about - and which would've been an unhappy surprise for us on our wedding day. We were really grateful for Stephanie's expertise and that she cared about making our wedding day as "perfect" as we did. Stephanie also really helped me with day of logistics. She helped me get a realistic timeline together, settle on an order of what was happening and who needed to where where/when, etc. When toasts ran later than planned, Stephanie changed her schedule to stay longer so that she didn't miss a shot of our moms laughing or our siblings laughing during their speeches. Stephanie's assistant, Savannah, is equally as fun and talented as Stephanie. My husband and I, both of our families, and our bridal party were so impressed when we got our 1,800 wedding photos about 6 weeks after our wedding. We can't thank Stephanie & Savannah enough for capturing the most important day of our lives!

We really enjoyed working with Stephanie. She I was prompt and make sure we got all the photos we wanted (from our shot list). She was also happy to stay an extra half hour to get some more candid shots for us. All in all, I would definitely recommend her to other couples!

Stephanie was an awesome photographer. I cannot say one bad thing about her. She was just awesome. She responded to my emails right away, if not within 24 hours. She was the most professional person whom I worked with for my wedding. She was always courteous and polite to explain the process to me before and after the wedding. She even worked with my mother in-law and helped her ordering photos. To top it all, her company was the most economical out of 12 photographers I contacted. How awesome is that!

Flashing Lights Photography did a wonderful job in photographing and capturing the memories from our wedding in west Seattle. I absolutely cherish the personal, fun and special shots that were captured. Our photographer was easy to work with and very professional.
