Okay this review is coming 4 years after our wedding day but Sean was THAT GOOD that our families still talk about how phenomenal he was as our wedding coordinator! From the start, he was organized, easy to work with, and just such an enjoyable person to work with. He coordinated with all of our vendors in the months leading up to the wedding and made the whole planning process feel so much smoother.
On the day of, Sean took care of everything behind the scenes so we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves. I honestly didn’t find out until the next day that there had even been a few hiccups (like guests showing up with extra plus-ones or moving tables around) because he handled it all so seamlessly.
If you want someone who will keep everything running beautifully while also being a fun, calming presence to work with, Sean is your person. We can’t recommend him enough! -

We are so grateful we had Sean as our wedding coordinator, he was fantastic. From the start, he was affordable, organized, and deeply familiar with our venue, which made the entire planning process so much smoother. Sean went above and beyond to help us save money where he could, like arranging with the venue for next-day pickups and helping us avoid unnecessary printing costs for things like the seating chart.
On the wedding day, I felt completely at ease—I didn’t even need to look at my itinerary because I knew Sean had it all under control. He supported us in handling last-minute logistics (like coordinating a champagne tower rental), set up our welcome table, and made sure all my belongings were gathered at the end of the night. V Sattui Dream Wedding
Sean is absolutely AMAZING. He planned our wedding from over a year out through the day of. He was extremely responsive - I mean responding within the hour to every email. He was very organized and helped us through every single detail. Honestly, we didn't have to do much, because Sean had all of the best connections and set us up with all of our vendors. He ensured that everything was perfectly organized and that we brought everything we needed day of. Once we gave him everything, he took it off ours hands and the day ran seamlessly. He has great interpersonal skills and is very talented at what he does. Not a single issue occurred! He is truly the best. He is so kind and just a joy to work with. I recommend without hesitation! Sean was incredible to work with for our October wedding at the V. Sattui Winery in St.Helena. We hired Sean for partial planning and he delivered above and beyond, responding to all our of questions and emails promptly and leveraging his many years of experience with Napa vendors and venues to help us navigate the planning of our wedding. His background in hospitality was very helpful in finding the best hotel accommodations for our guests along with finding venues for our welcome dinner and goodbye brunch. He also has extensive experience working with many great vendors and was great at connecting them all with us. We did decide on procuring a few of our own vendors before working with Sean, and one last minute vendor after.
Sean walked us through our in-person meetings with our rentals supplier, baker, and for the wine selections at V. Sattui. We felt secure knowing how many of the vendors we worked with trusted Sean and enjoyed working with him as much as we did.
Sean works very efficiently but will give you the time of day if you have questions. He is diligent with details, and handled our ceremony and reception details beautifully. Sean was always available on the wedding day and checked in with us whenever things like weather or other circumstances required adjustments to our original plan. My partner and I can honestly say our wedding went perfectly and appreciated the relief of not having to stress about the big or the little things. Wow it is hard to explain just how great of a job Sean did for our wedding. He is incredibly responsive and helpful when it comes to both suggesting and coordinating vendors. Sean is amicable and always ready to help with any problems. Having Sean as our wedding coordinator made the whole process of planning a wedding run incredibly smoothly and reduced the stress on us during wedding planning considerably.
Sean is a veteran planner and, although he could easily charge way more for his services, his rates are extremely reasonable. It was clear to us that he does his work with a lot of passion, exactly what you want in the person helping you plan your wedding day!
Our wedding may be the first I can think of where everything ran perfectly and nothing 'went wrong.' This can be mostly attributed to Sean's great work. I cannot recommend him more highly! -

Sean Dempsey is a consummate professional. He went above and beyond his normal duties as wedding planner to ensure my wife and I had the absolute best experience possible. He succeeded with flying colors! One of the things that makes Sean so great, is how rapidly he responded to all of our wedding related questions. Sean has a solution for every potential issue that can arise. For instance, when we forgot an important piece of wedding property at our rehearsal dinner, Sean went the extra mile and personally traveled to the restaurant (about 20 minutes from the wedding venue) to retrieve the item for us! Sean's vast experience coupled with his affable personality assuaged our concerns and simplified the entire process for us. My wife and I really enjoyed the process of wedding planning due to Sean's efforts. He zealously advocates on behalf of his clients and truly cares about everyone he helps. Everything you will need for your big day
From the consultation to the actual building a plan and schedule for the big day, up to the very last minute details, I would say planning services are a must! Especially because you’ll need the right person who is reliable and knowledgeable and coming to Sean was one of our best wedding decisions! Even I initially thought I had myself pretty squared away with everything researched myself, and figured I would benefit most by seeking Sean’s expertise for just the big day and a little bit prior, but as I started getting deeper into planning, more questions and details start popping up and along the way I would have tons of questions and random time of day emails, and Sean has been there every single time, always very quick to respond and always with a solution. This would be the most comforting because you are already so busy and stressed, you do not have time to deal with vendors who are non responsive! He also has the most tact in answering even the most difficult of questions I may throw his way. Because of his willingness to work with me with even less services that I signed up for initially, I was most comfortable in feeling the need to paying for more of his time and services, so that I could have that comfort in a very tedious process. I would say that in addition to building your schedule, communication is very essential and Sean will be there for you without question, he is so knowledgeable and literally knows everyone in the Napa area! Definite plus! For the day of, the schedule will be all set for you, however, just be sure to have the right liaisons for corralling your families for photos, for making sure someone is following you around as a bride for outfit changes or to make sure you are eating and stay hydrated. Sean is in charge of pulling the whole day together and keeping it running, and you should also have others helping make this day even more spectacular, because believe me, that day goes by so fast and everything can become a blur. Sean Dempsey is a 5 Star Wedding Planner!! When my daughter and fiancé chose V Sattui Vineyard for their destination wedding venue the first thing we said was get a wedding planner. Being that we are from Tampa Florida and not knowing anyone in the Napa Valley area we felt confident in our choice of selecting Sean Dempsey to help guide and plan my daughters wedding. Sean is a perfectionist just like my daughter so we knew we hit a home run with him!!! Sean was extremely resourceful and knew all the vendors in the area. Any questions he had the answers!!! Sean took the time 2 months before our weddings to meet with my daughter and myself to go around and meet the vendors and make-sure we made the correct decisions. A true professional – Sean did a first rate job as our wedding planner. My wife and I live on the East Coast, and Sean made it seamless to plan details for all parts of our West Coast wedding out in Napa Valley. We had several zoom calls with him throughout the process, and Sean was very responsive, replying back to all questions and comments within hours after every text, email, or call. He would provide recommendations for any vendor or service we wanted to include in the wedding – if we didn’t want to move forward with the vendor due to price points, Sean never pushed; if we wanted to move forward with the vendor, Sean pulled the strings and made it easy. During the wedding itself, Sean did a terrific job organizing all parties and keeping everything on cue and on time. Regardless if you’re trying to plan your wedding in person or virtually from afar, we highly recommend Sean. -

Sean did a great job as our wedding coordinator! From the first inquiry I sent, he was very responsive and professional. He responded to every email quickly and provided helpful suggestions and ideas while also being very responsive to any feedback or changes from us. He made it so easy for me to plan an out of town wedding and even allowed me to ship a few things to him ahead of time. Everything went so smoothly on the day of our wedding and Sean is certainly to credit for this - I’m sure he did more than I even realize because it all went off without a hitch. He was calm when I was not (even when the groom was on the move and hard to track down at our large venue), kept everyone on a timeline without making things feel rushed, and even helped play music since we didn’t have a DJ at our micro wedding…this was so incredibly helpful for us! Working with Sean was one of the BEST decisions we made during our entire wedding planning process. We hired Sean for our June 20th, 2020 wedding at V Sattui back in 2018 with his partial planning package. Well, the world had other plans and we ended up having to postpone multiple times. Throughout the entire process, Sean was always there for us- handling the date changes with vendors, keeping us updated on the ever changing requirements and plans, and being supportive to us!
During the course of planning, we had many phone calls with Sean to go over both the big picture and the details of our wedding. He made sure every little thing was taken care of- even stuff we didn't think about, like song selections, timeline, etc. We discussed our vision and budget, and Sean was able to recommend trusted vendors that could deliver exactly what we wanted. He attended any vendor consults we asked him to, providing valuable input on things like flowers and decor as well as food and wine selections! He was also very helpful in finding us areas to save money or stretch our budget, such as re-using our ceremony flowers for centerpieces or forgoing decor that wouldn't make a big impact on the overall appearance. All of the vendors that we booked through Sean (florist, cake, officiant, DJ, rentals, and hotel block) were amazing- he has a great network of vendors that all exceeded our expectations.
We appreciated how efficient and responsive Sean was- he was always available by text or email and stayed on top of everything for us, such as contract signing, deposits, etc. Sean ran our rehearsal and collected all of our items (guest book, place cards, etc) the day prior to our wedding. On the day of our wedding, we were truly able to enjoy every minute because Sean had everything handled! Sean went above and beyond our expectations. We couldn’t imagine going through it without him. All of the details came together and our wedding ran so smoothly, it was perfect!
We can't thank Sean enough for all of his assistance, guidance, and kind words throughout our wedding planning process. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or special event! -

READ THIS: Sean is Amazing! Pandemic? Wildfires? NO PROBLEM!
We were having a small wedding (15 people) at Brix (Yountville, CA) in October 2020 and they required a wedding planner from their preferred list. I was a little annoyed that I had to hire one when I thought I could do it on my own, but it was the absolute best decision that was ever made for me. After contacting a few wedding planners that wanted an exorbitant amount of money to plan our tiny wedding, Sean came through. He gave us the most reasonable quote that included everything we needed and wanted. Throughout the 12 months of planning he responded to every miniscule question we had within 24 hours and made sure we were getting everything we wanted. If we changed our mind on something meager? No problem! He was so organized remembering every detail we asked for. A MONTH before our wedding, COVID-19 was still not improving and Brix was unable to accommodate our wedding. Sean instantly found us a gorgeous private estate that was outdoor in wine country. He organized everything we would need in addition (caterer, bathrooms, tables, tableware, etc.) and we were excited for the new venue. FOUR days before our wedding wildfires raged in northern California and the air quality wasn't acceptable enough to have our wedding outdoors. We were devastated! We asked Sean what we could do. He said that he would work with the vendors to get as much money back for us as he could or he could move the date a couple weeks into the future. We asked him if there was an indoor option somewhere and Superman did it again! He found us the absolute most beautiful resort for our wedding. He moved everything AGAIN and got us refunds from the previous vendors. Also, this may not be Sean's doing (who knows though?), but the air quality improved so much that we were able to have the ceremony in the vineyard at the resort! Not only did Sean's pre-wedding role impress, but so did his active wedding role. Sean was everywhere telling all the vendors what to do to make our day go as smooth as possible. He even drove our moms in his OWN car to the reception when the shuttle wasn't able to make it up the hill to the ceremony! Planning a wedding across the country (I live in PA) during a pandemic and wildfires was super stressful, but Sean was flawless. You will not regret a minute of your decision hiring him. I definitely didn't! -

In February, my daughter was married in V.Sattui winery. There is not one thing I would change from that day, and I am eternally grateful to Sean Dempsey for helping make that night magical. Coming from Florida, it was difficult to coordinate all the vendors necessary to put a wedding together. He made it happen with just one visit to California. In two days, we chose the flowers, cake, party favors, chairs, tablecloths, napkins, music, officiant, etc. He is Super Man. Given that putting on a wedding is not exactly a frequent event, I was unsure what to expect when we hired a coordinator. Sean Dempsey was recommended to us, and all I can say is WOW!! Erin Sent on 06/05/2018I’m embarrassed to admit that at the beginning of wedding planning, I wasn’t sure what a day of coordinator was! Luckily for us, Sean was ours for our wedding at the Meritage Resort in July 2017. Sean was genuine and operated with the utmost professionalism throughout the planning process. He tapped into his network of contacts and wealth of experience to ensure our day was a match to our vision and represented us as a couple. He gave us a level of personalization and detail that we didn’t even know we wanted! Our guests gave so many compliments on the many small details included in the wedding that made the day special and unique.
At the same time, Sean did all of this in the least intrusive way. Sean always responded to us promptly via phone, email, and text but did not bombard us with communication. Sean is great at matching the level of communication that his clients want. And no matter what your preference is here, Sean will be sure to get the information and ask the questions he needs to make everything perfect. We were so lucky to work with him!!! Sean executed every detail we wanted his assistance with, and all of these small details were noticed by our guests.
Finally, we appreciated that Sean was kind and sincere, but seemed to know just the right moments to make us laugh. (This “power” cannot be underestimated on your wedding day!). We would highly recommend Sean- he will make your day run seamlessly and feel even more perfect than you imagined!!! -

From the very first interaction with Sean, I was very impressed with his professionalism and organization. Even though we chose “day of” coordination, he did much, much, more. In addition to the day of coordination he provided, he met with me and my family a couple of times to walk the venue months before the wedding, coordinaated with vendors weeks before the wedding, and was there to field any questions and concerns leading up to our wedding day. With his years of experience in the wedding planning business, his attention to detail is exactly what you want on your big day. Even when we were on our honeymoon, weeks after our wedding had wrapped up, Sean still went above and beyond to help us settle a dispute with the rental company. He made our wedding day go off with out a hitch and was the best day of our lives!

Natalie Sent on 06/04/2018We were pleased to find Sean on the preferred vendor list at the Meritage. He is the only reasonably priced option (I priced them all), plus he was previously the F&B manager there, so has plenty of back knowledge of the venue which was extremely valuable. We initially spoke on the phone for about an hour, and then met him in person for the first time at the food tasting. Throughout the planning process we had several additional calls and emails, and he was always available and responsive. The only (minor) hiccough was coordinating the processional lineup with the DJ, but it wasn't a big deal at all. His suggestion ended up being the most appropriate for the venue, so just go along with it :) The wedding went off beautifully without a hitch, thanks to his experience and skills in managing the decor, vendors and attendees. He had tips to save money without sacrificing quality, and I swear our wedding seemed worth double the price we paid.
