Tru was fantastic. He was incredibly flexible about meeting before the wedding, and his pre-wedding checklist helped me organize the whole evening, bringing up things I hadn't even considered. He created an amazing experience from about 10 song prompts. He was easy to reach and very prompt in his responses, and an excellent MC. He kept everything moving throughout the night, read the room to keep people up and dancing, and just overall helped to make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. I can't recommend him highly enough; if he has your date available, book him now. 12/10, all the stars. -

The best dj!
Tru is absolutely amazing!! We couldn't recommend him enough! He made our wedding day music dreams come true and did so with such a positive, passionate attitude! From the start of our journey working together he made every transition smooth and seamless. In all the chaos of wedding planning, he made his part in having him as our DJ so easy. Our family can't stop talking about how amazing he was! From getting the crowd on the dance floor hyped up, to passing out glow-sticks, busting a move on the dance floor with us, or transitioning from Macedonian music to Dancing Queen (this was a huge hit!), everyone was impressed by his talent, genuine personality, and presence at our wedding. Not to mention he catered to our music taste so perfectly! Do yourself a favor and have Tru DJ your events; it will be a memory you'll cherish forever! We are so grateful to have had him at our wedding! -

We had a clear vision of what we wanted the music for our wedding to be, and Tru came in, totally understood it all, and then kicked it up to the next level. Everyone (everyone!) was out on the dance floor and loving it ("Vibes were immaculate" - Wedding Guest). We also specifically requested Latin-inspired dance music and Tru absolutely understood the assignment!He guided us through the logistics of the wedding, and is such a smooth operator day of that it made things super easy. A great guy and a really amazing DJ, if you want a banger of a wedding, Tru is your guy! -

DJ Trumastr ("Tru") is the best of them! From start to finish, he was kind, communicative, and clearly committed to making our wedding an unforgettable experience. He took the time to understand our vision, made us feel totally comfortable, and his passion for his work came through in every interaction.
His music choices were spot on, his emceeing was smooth and engaging, and once the dance floor opened after dinner—it stayed lively the entire night. Guests are still talking about how great our DJ was!
We couldn’t be more grateful to have had Tru as part of our vendor team and are already looking for an excuse to work with him again in the future. Those who don't book him are truly missing out. -

We cannot speak highly enough about Tru's DJ-ing for our recent wedding. He is a consummate professional in every sense of the phrase---organized, thoughtful, and an incredibly skilled DJ. He even spun vinyl for us at our cocktail hour, at our special request (we are also record collectors). Many of our guests told us that Tru's DJ-ing was the best music they had ever heard at a wedding. We couldn't help but agree!
If you're looking for a DJ who is attentive to your interests and music preferences, someone who will ensure that all logistics for sound go off without a hitch, someone who will keep the party going, and someone who will go above and beyond to ensure your celebration is perfect: look no further. From our very first consultation to the end of the night, working with Tru was a pleasure and a delight. We couldn't be happier and more grateful that he was a part of our special day. -

DJ Tru: Wedding DJ
I am not exaggerating when I say you are missing out if you don't hire DJ Tru for your event. Not only is he a phenomenal DJ, but he is a phenomenal person as well. Even if he hadn't DJ-ed our wedding, we would have wanted him there as a guest because his positivity is electric, he is an absolute joy to be around. I could go on and on about his DJ skills, I already knew he was the best of the best when we hired him, but he absolutely blew us away at the wedding. He immediately understands the vibes of the guests, then plays the exact right song over and over again. Our guests were on the dance floor nonstop. DJ Tru was truly our dream DJ. He was the hit of our wedding - months later our guests are still talking about him. Most of them got his card, even our out of state guests! In addition to his DJ skills, he is also just a wealth of knowledge and has so many helpful tips for the wedding. He is calm, cool, and collected - making it incredibly easy to work with him. I really could go on and on about how awesome he is - just book him, you'll regret it if you don't! -

I am writing this review for DJ Tru after my wife and I attended a wedding he was DJ’ing at the Sagamore in Lake George. Having just gotten married ourselves earlier this year, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Mr. Trimingham. His energy, enthusiasm, attention to detail and professionalism shown to the Bride, the Groom, their families/families and all those in attendance made for an unforgettable evening and atmosphere. My wife and I have been to a lot of weddings, and you could tell from the start there was something different about DJ Tru and his style. Our only regret leaving the wedding that night was wishing we could’ve had him for our own wedding just a few short months ago!!!
Those getting married and seeing this post: I know I echo so many others in attendance at the wedding we attended that DJ Tru will leave you and your guests with a night you’ll NEVER forget! -

We absolutely loved our experience with DJ Tru from the first meeting, to our last hug goodbye! He kept in mind all of the songs that are the playlist to our relationship, flowed our styles together flawlessly- and had kids to grandmas dancing all night! We literally couldn't get people off the dance floor and onto the shuttle home- no one wanted to leave!
When we were able to sit down and catch our breath- we both had separate experience of GRATITUDE for Tru being part of our big (and rainy) day! He made my husband feel calm and ready and gave me the down-low on everything happening while I was hiding from the guests. He wow-ed both of our families and checked in with us throughout the evening, and even showed off some (FANTASTIC) dance moves!!
We love you and can't imagine having anyone else as a pillar in our big day! Don't look anywhere else- this is the man you need!

Book him now. Seriously. We almost missed out on Tru, and it would've been the saddest loss. My husband handled communicating with Tru before the wedding, and they established an incredible bond over music. Day of, Tru was on point — from his look, to the music, to the emcee'ing, we couldn't have asked for better. My only regret is that the reception ended too early. -

True is one of a kind and we cannot thank him enough. From our first meeting, we knew we’d found someone special and were not disappointed. He is hands down the best DJ ever. He made our night! He is music and is not just going to play the same 10 songs you hear at every wedding; he’s also going to tailor his choices to your event. A few months in advance of the wedding day, he sent us a questionnaire to get a feel for what we were looking for, and even though we only sent it back to him a few weeks before, he showed up on the day and more than delivered, even pulling inspiration from our officiant’s message and our family toasts. He really feels the vibe of the room and chooses the right music at the right time. The energy was palpable all evening thanks to him. Our family and friends were raving about how he is the best DJ they’ve experienced. As an aside, he also has a killer sense of style. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more magical wedding and True was such an incredible part of it. Our only regret is that it’s over. Now we just have to find an excuse to work with him again! -

DJ Tru has a ton of positive energy. From our family and friends’ perspectives, people enjoyed the music and guests were out on the dance floor throughout the evening. He has a great repertoire of latin music, even playing a brazilian song knowing that I am traveling to Brazil soon. He also definitely knew the age group of most of those dancing, and played many loved songs by Britney, Backstreet boys, etc.
That being said, as the couple who hired him, we were disappointed about a few things. He had sent us a questionnaire to complete asking what songs we wanted throughout the night and he did not review that until two days before the wedding. Several of the announcements we asked him to do he had to be reminded of and a couple of the important songs he either didn’t play, played a different version than requested, or played them at the wrong time.
