Sandra has a light about her that is just contagious. She has an absolute gift in capturing the most magical of moments and combine that with how comfortable she makes you feel while taking a bazillion pictures... and it is just incredible! We are just blown away by the beauty of her photographs and her creative eye, and are so thankful to her for capturing the most special moments of the most special time of our lives (engagement pictures and wedding day). On our wedding day, she did all her photography magic in the hot, humid, August sun, WITH A SMILE, when we all were hot and sticky, and when our fur baby was running around in and out of pictures with us. We are so thankful to her and wholeheartedly recommend her photography services to anyone looking for the best!

Sandra was everything we wanted in a wedding photographer - my husband and I are both very quiet and shy people, but she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. My whole wedding party loved her because of the fun energy she brought to the day. The photos came out just perfect - I love how she manages to make everything look so natural and candid, and not posed at all. Sandra went above and beyond to make our day perfect, and she was hands-down the best choice we made for our wedding.

Sandra is someone you want in charge of photography at your wedding, hands down. You also just want her at your wedding in a central role because she's amazing, in addition to her amazing photos. You truly can't find better. She knows what she is doing and does it all with a big reassuring smile. She knows how to get the best photos out of you and your guests too. She is magical! She helped us plan in advance, and then figure out what to do with the photos later. I could go on and on. She's the one you want. She even knew what to do on a rainy chilly day. (She brought wedding umbrellas that added a fun touch.)

5 starts does not even begin to describe how wonderful Sandra is. She was so helpful through the wedding planning process especially when figure out the timeline for how the day should go. She was always quick to answer emails and talking to her felt like I had known her for years. She is so professional and knowledgeable that I knew instantly I could tell her what I was hoping for on our wedding day and she would make it happen! She was just a fun spirit to have around on our actual wedding day! Once we got our pictures in the exact time frame she said we would get them I couldnt stop looking at them. Some how she knew exactly who to capture and made sure that all the important aspects and details of our day were captured! She goes above and beyond and still after our wedding continues to impress me!

Hiring Sandra as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made. She is easy going and helpful every step of the way, even beyond photography. Hiring Sandra Costello to be our wedding photographer was the VERY best decision we made planning for our wedding!! Throughout the entire planning process, Sandra was incredible to work with- she is a true professional. My family is still talking about how much they all loved her as she worked so hard to capture all of the big and little moments while putting everyone at ease in front of the camera. Sandra is amazing!!! From the first meeting in her fun and cozy office we felt so comfortable. I had worked with Sandra before on a business related event but my husband hadn't ever met her and it was really important that he liked her. After a very informative (but not stressful by any means) meeting we walked out and my husband said " I feel like I've known her forever, shes so great!"

We asked Sandra if she would come to our house to do a few family photos with our fur child (a cat) as well as around our house and then a few outside. We recently moved to the house and its where my husband proposed so we thought it was only appropriate. Sandra went out of her way and researched a local park to bring us to (my husband and I didn't even know it existed), so when we finished with some photos at the house she brought us to the park where we did more photos, which was so fun, especially when Sandra would say sweet things from behind the lens like "oh my gosh people this is beautiful" and "your beautiful keep smiling", those little things just help you keep going :)

On the wedding day Sandra arrived ready to go with camera in hand and just started doing her thing. Leading up to the wedding Sandra gave us a really great questionnaire and asked what family shots we wanted and details we wanted etc, so that the day of she didn't have to ask us. This was so nice to not have to worry about because, as a bride and groom you have enough of your mind and to know Sandra had it all under control was a HUGE relief. Sandra was with us all evening and when it was time for her to leave she made sure to let us know and asked "is there anything else you want me to capture before I go?" which I loved that she even thought to ask.

We just got to view our wedding photos and not even a minute into them I started crying because I was so amazed with the beauty of her work, its absolutely stunning!!

Thank you Sandra from the bottom of my heart for the best day ever.

I cannot say enough good things about Sandra. We initially contacted her to inquire about shooting our wedding because we liked her style of photography. As soon as we met with her in person, we knew that she would be perfect for us. Sandra combines professionalism with a warm energy that makes you feel at ease. This was especially important for a quiet introvert (me) and a chronic over-smiler (my wife), who are both uncomfortable in front of a camera. Sandra encouraged us to do an engagement shoot, which helped us to feel even more at ease with her when our wedding day came. On the day of our wedding, she worked with us to take formal photos and group shots, and worked hard to capture the ceremony and reception. Several of our guests remarked that Sandra seemed to be *everywhere* throughout the evening, which is what you want in a photographer. Her assistant (Rosie) was amazing, capturing all sorts of moments throughout the day. And her wife (Brett) ran our photo booth, which our guests LOVED. She also recommended several of our other vendors to us, all of whom were amazing.

***Sandra also gives the best hugs. You might not think that it's important for your wedding photographer to give good hugs, but trust me -- it's a really great bonus.

We initially picked Sandra because of her incredible ability to capture moments. We found ourselves looking at her albums from other people's weddings and being brought to tears because of the emotion pouring out of the photos. We knew for sure she was the photographer from us. From the initial meet and greet, to the engagement session and finally our wedding day, Sandra did not disappoint. She was professional and timely with communications, friendly and fun to work with, incredibly thorough and her photos captured our day, our love and our story absolutely perfectly. Sandra is not only a great photographer technically, but she has a keen ability to see things in a way that others don't- and that is something you can't be taught. That is a gift Sandra was born with. We are so grateful Sandra shared her gift with us in a way that allows us to relive how special our wedding day was, for the rest of our lives. If any part of you is hesitant about whether or not you should spend extra money on a photographer, I can't say "Absolutely yes" enough, and if you do decide to include photography in your budget, and we highly, highly recommend Sandra!

We cannot say enough about Sandra and her warm-hearted professionalism. From the moment we contacted her, we knew that she was going to be fantastic. Sandra is wonderful at communicating and is always, always willing to help with anything you need (this goes beyond photography – Sandra’s recommendations led us to the most amazing wedding band). While Sandra shot our engagement photos, she made it a point to get to know us and our story. We had a very long shot list for the wedding, but also wanted to make sure the photos did not cut in to other parts of the wedding. Sandra somehow managed to get all of the pictures we asked for and so many other shots that we love. Sandra’s personality is infectious and she is someone you want around you on your wedding day. She manages to do her job and keep everyone else organized and punctual. Her photos are beautiful and we are so thrilled with everything she has done for us. Sandra is the photographer that you never knew you always wanted...until you met her. My husband and I first met Sandra when she was photographing the wedding of friends. She was the perfect photographer: besides having awesome skill, she was friendly, thoughtful, loving, and a little like Mary Poppins: practically perfect in every way. When it came to our own wedding, there wasn't a question about who we wanted to capture the photos that would forever commemorate our day. Sandra worked with us, our venue, and our DJ to make sure that the timing and lighting was coordinated. She helped us schedule our day, helping us to feel organized, but not hurried. She captured all of the perfect moments we could have asked for, but didn't, and also the ones we did. Then, after taking about a million photos, we got to see them ALL before we worked together to pick the perfect pictures for our book. Sandra is amazing. We could not possibly have been happier with Sandra every single step of the way.

As a creative, energetic, and performance-laden couple, we are incredibly finicky when it comes to capturing our personalities along with our friends and family. Additionally, I've been told that my frozen face when posing doesn't do me any favors! We needed someone who was incredibly talented when it came to candid shots.

After looking at the standard vendors our venue offered, we knew we had to ask Sandra to fly down to the Keys. It's THEE MOST important tangible memory we'll have of the Big Day, and thus it was worth every penny to choose a photographer who would take the location by the horns and embrace every personality to capture the true nature of each and every moment.

Working with Sandra isn't work, it's a collaboration; this was incredibly important to my husband and I. Her assistant photographer, Sue, was equally awesome. We trusted this dynamic duo's every move and worked together to find the most creative opportunities for our guests, our future memories, and beyond!

After receiving our galleries last week, we've managed to tear up, laugh, and hug each other a little tighter as we sift through the unbelievable photos from our wedding. THANK YOU SANDRA!!!

We loved working with Sandra right away. She is an amazing photographer. Multiple guests raved about how she was able to make everyone, from young to old, feel comfortable in front of a camera. We hired Sandra as our photographer through word of mouth from other couples who spoke highly of her work. From day one, she made us feel special, and worked with us to capture our vision for our wedding. We have two children that were a big part of our special day, and Sandra was exceptionally wonderful with them. Our engagement shoot with her was beautiful, and she was so easy to be around and feel comfortable with when you are having your picture taken. We have seen a few shots from our recent wedding so far that Sandra took, and the love that she captured between us and our boys is priceless. You might not remember what you ate 10 years from now on your wedding day, or what color the linens were on the tables, but a picture that takes you back to that moment in time is priceless. Working with Sandra was an absolute dream! One of my husband's friends recommended Sandra when we were starting our search for a wedding photographer. She couldn't have been more on point! From our first meeting with Sandra in July 2013 until our wedding this past September, our interactions with Sandra were fabulous. We first interacted with her for our engagement photos -- for two people who are more comfortable taking photos rather than being in the pictures, she put us both at ease and worked with our personalities to get great shots! She is fun and creative, while also letting us do what we wanted to do to. We loved our engagement photos and knew we would love our wedding photos (and we do!) . She goes above and beyond the "call of duty" -- including meeting each of us early on the morning of the wedding for activities we were participating in individually to going on emergency runs for duct tape! Sandra is absolutely wonderful!

Sandra shot our wedding and we couldn't be happier. Her level of professionalism was only matched by her attention to detail and ability to capture each moment in a magical light. She has the right level of pushiness to get that pain in the butt brother that doesn't want to take photos to not only be in the shot, but to also get him to smile and look like a normal human being. We were drawn to Sandra due to the emotions she captured in her photography. We chose her as our photographer as she seemed able to catch the heartfelt moments (the smiles, tears, expressions) that represent the magnitude and beauty of a wedding day. Her photographs were strong in technique and demonstrated an artistic, playful, and/or sensitive eye for her subjects. Lastly, as a lesbian couple, we wanted a photographer who could be comfortable with us being demonstrative; Sandra's portfolio with samples of same-sex weddings and the social ease she exhibited when we met gave us the assurance we could be relaxed and genuine when being photographed by her.

Photographers have a tough balance in that they need to be able to manage their business, yet also be skilled technically and artistically. Sandra excelled in both capacities. She did an excellent job at assessing our wants/goals, gave thoughtful suggestions (when asked) of vendors for other services but did not 'push' us towards anyone, was respectful of our budget, and responded to emails very quickly. During the engagement shots and wedding ceremony, she effectively took photos without being intrusive, helped us feel relaxed in front of the camera, kept a creative eye open for unique or artistic photograph opportunities, tried our suggestions of photos/props, captured so many special expressions/moments and maintained an upbeat and engaged energy about her at all times.

Sandra brings an authenticity to her work in an industry where one can end up feeling like a moving dollar sign. Choosing her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding (our caterer, which she recommended, was the other one). We have so many special photographs memorializing a day that will never occur again; we are deeply appreciative of her efforts and strongly encourage couples to choose Sandra for their very important day.

Sandra was the best photographer one could hope for. She was prompt and professional at every turn and she has a warm and bubbly personality that eases the stress of any bride! Sandra is an absolute treat to work with! I wish I could have her around everyday. Her passion and enthusiasm for what she does is contagious and exactly what is needed when hiring a photographer. I loved Sandra from the first time I talked to her over the phone to schedule a time to meet. She is extremely talented at what she does, and makes you feel so comfortable in every moment. There are going to be umcomfortable times during your engagement session and wedding, and she is able to help take that away. Her cheery attitude helps during what can be a very stressful time planning a wedding. She was a useful resource to us in finding and recommending other vendors. The day of the wedding went smoothly having her and another second shooter there to help. Sandra captured some truly amazing moments that I don't think anyone else saw, or knew what was happening. We had a large wedding and was able to wrangle everyone up with ease. Throughout the day she was a great friend and companion to help with the stresses, and made sure we captured every moment that was important to us. She posted two sneak peaks of our wedding pictures the next day, and then surprised us on the way home from our honeymoon by giving us another sneak peek at our photos featured on her blog. I was in love and speechless loooking through them. There are so many wonderful things to say about Sandra and her work, but think its self explanatory in seeing her work and meeting her! Sandra will be a part of our lives capturing future milestones for sure!

Our wedding was June 29, 2013 and we were lucky enough to have Sandra as our photographer. From the time we met her last year to look at albums we knew she was the photographer for us. Sandra is kind, nice and so upbeat. It's hard to not be in a good mood when you're around her. Sandra takes the most amazing photos and truly captures emotion and special moments. Our engagement photos were fun and came out fantastic. She made a beautiful guest book for us and on the wedding day she was on time, there the whole day, professional, fun, complementary and she took countless photos. Sandra brought an assistant who also was very nice and professional. I can't wait to see our album but from the "sneak peak" photos Sandra sent me I know it will be great. I can't reccomend Sandra enough.

Our wedding was 5/4/2013 and I really would describe it as a magical day. Sandra was able to capture the joy of the day, our personalities in the photos shine through and 50 years from now, we will be able to look at the images that Sandra captured and be brought right back to the day we said "I do." One of the best decisions we made was asking Sandra Costello to be our wedding photographer. The quality of her photography, the lighting, how she sets the image, her gentle way of giving direction, all of it.... fantastic! We had a blast taking photos and most of the ease of the day was because Sandra is a special soul and she brought her expertise and genuine enthusiasm to our wedding day. I just received the link to my gallery and I am delighted. Sandra gave us so much more than a static portrait of our wedding. Looking at our pictures, I feel that I am re-living the story of our romance, our family, and our current lives. The story reads like a fairytale, and no detail is lost. Sandra is an artist with a eye for the magical; or perhaps she is a magician with an artistic eye! She also happens to be a lovely person, and brought a wonderful energy of her own to our wedding. Sandra at SMC Photography was absolutely amazing! From the first time I spoke with her she was responsive, outgoing, creative, down to earth, and all around a pleasure to work with. I felt comfortable knowing that she would be on top of all the details regarding the photography and that everything would turn out great! Not only did we have Sandra shoot our wedding, but because we LOVED her work so much, we requested that she do an engagement shoot, create our save-the-dates, create our thank-your cards, and put together an album and slideshow for us. Sandra at Studio SMC is outstanding. She has the ability to put brides at ease and capture the precious moments that are so easily missed. At one point in the ceremony, there was a moment that happened when I thought, gee I hope I remember this. Of course, Sandra did capture the moment. It was very subtle, but it speaks to her eye for detail and her love for what she does. She has an exceptional eye for detail and her photos are technically perfect. In addition, she provided a photo booth for us, that turned out to be really fun.

I'm so happy we found out about Sandra. Her photography is outstanding!

Sandra is hands-down the best photographer! I don't even know where to begin describing how amazing she and her work is. Photography was one of our top priorities, and I was getting really overwhelmed with all the amazing options in the Pioneer Valley. Based on all the great reviews here on WeddingWire, I contacted Sandra to get some more information. We set up a meeting and really hit it off. We met again with my husband and seeing how we all got along fabulously, we booked her right away. Seeing how many photographers we were initially considering, Sandra was the only person we actually met with. We have no regrets whatsoever.

Sandra is professional, responsive, super friendly, and is really knowledgeable about her work and weddings in general. She did a phenomenal job documenting our wedding, and the photos are absolutely gorgeous. We have received so many amazing comments about the quality of our photos, and the unique point of view she brought to the event. I can't stop looking at the pictures! Not only is her work amazing, but she really makes us feel special as a couple, and I get excited every time I see a different way she finds to highlight our pictures. I cannot recommend Sandra highly enough, if her work isn't enough to convince you!

We also booked a photobooth through Sandra, which was the best decision. Our guests really enjoyed it and we have the funniest pictures from the wedding! It was also a great way to ensure we got pictures of most of the guests. It was also a great deal, about half the cost had we chosen to book an outside vendor for the photobooth.

Sandra captured our wedding day on the very popular 9.10.11 . She was creative, fun, and amazing! Our photos came out so perfect. She uniquely captured our unforgettable moments and made sure to catch lots of fun shots at our reception. She didn't miss a beat! Her big personality and knack for great photography is what instantly drew my husband and I to her...we are so thankful we found Sandra!

In addition to being a very knowledgable and professional photographer, she is loads of fun and easy to be around. The photographer is the one person you will be with all day; thank God for Sandra. She kept both of us at ease and captured everything we could have wished for. She knew exactly the right moments to catch, all with an artful eye. We were surprised when we got our pictures back because we had not even noticed she was there in that moment. Absolutely the best!

Sandra was amazing!!! The photos were truly beautiful - artwork. After the wedding, we got so many compliments on the photographs. She captured great candid moments, and the romance and beauty of our special day. She was fun to work with, always on top of things, very professional and super reliable. She has a natural talent in photography and she spontaneously comes up with new ideas. We enjoyed her upbeat, positive attitude and enjoyment in photographing us. We were both confident that the photos would turn out magnificent and they did. We cannot say enough good things about her! We highly recommend her!

We highly recommend Studio SMC/ Sandra Costello to work with for your wedding. We were married last fall and could not have asked for more. She was easy to work with, flexible, and the photos are beautiful. We loved the proofs when we saw them, but we recently received our album and were even more impressed with the layout and artistry of the album. She worked with us to make the album exactly what we wanted. Her online ordering system works well, and you receive pictures quickly after the wedding. I think she provides excellent services for a good value, and would without hesitation recommend her to family and friends.

Studio SMC helped to make our wedding day perfect. Looking back at our album is such a joy. Sandra and Brett really captured the romance, joy and love of our special day. We are about to embark on another exciting journey...we are expecting a baby boy in just a couple months! We plan to ask Sandra to come out and do a family photo shoot a few months after his birth because she is the very best!!!

Sandra photographed our very private MA wedding, held on a beach with only my wife, myself, another couple and the JP in attendance. Given the small number of people, having 1/6th of our party be the photographer could have felt a little awkward, but with Sandra's high level of professionalism, it was like we didn't even know she was there, save the wonderful photos she took. I treasure the photographs from our wedding and would happily recommend her for any wedding photography!

Sandra is a fantastic photographer. Wedding photos are something that you will look at for the rest of your life, and I could not be happier with mine. Amazingly, she captured every moment beautifully, and yet, you never felt like you were being photographed. She was very easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our special day was documented in the most perfect way.

Sandra took pictures at my wedding in December 2003. She was so easy to work with. She took the time to understand the shots that I wanted, and got all of them. She was really nice and everyone responded well to her. She was very quick to respond to any emails I sent, showed up well before she was expected and worked really hard. The photos are beautiful and I would recommend her to anyone!

When Mother Nature decided to give us a lot of "luck" on our wedding day in the form of torrential rain, Sandra was completely upbeat and flexible, and rearranged our photography schedule from outdoor garden shots to indoor photos instead. She made the most of the situation and got some fantastic photos. I was disappointed that we couldn't be outside as planned, but Sandra's eye more than made up for it. In fact, my favorite shot of the day was of me and the bridesmaids running from one building to another under umbrellas in the rain - laughing hysterically the whole way. Sandra captured that moment and so many more and we love our wedding photo album.

Sandra is just amazing. Her focus is capturing the special moments, and of course, her posed pictures are wonderful, too. I've had Sandra photograph a lot of events, not just my wedding, and I've referred her to family and friends for their special days, too. Every time I am truly amazed at the beauty she captures.

Besides the quality of her photos, her personality as a wedding photographer is also excellent. Before the wedding she really focuses on figuring out what your expectations are making sure you get the photo package that suits you best. On the day of the event, she goes about her business professionally and quietly without ever getting in the way of the festivities or bothering the bride or wedding party for direction.

Sandra's photographs capture the event as a whole, from beginning to end, magically finding the lighting and composition that makes you, your spouse, your family and your event look their best.

The thing is, the one thing you have from your wedding, (besides maybe your dress), is the photographs. THAT is what you'll be looking at for the rest of your life, and showing to your family and friends, and she creates an album you will be proud and happy to show off! Plus she takes great shots for framing, too so you can choose a few to display in your home or give to your parents in addition to having an amazing album.

Sandra is hands down the BEST. My matron of honor just said to me, "wow Sandra and her assistant (our second shooter) worked so hard! They were everywhere!" Not only does Sandra take beautiful images (and I'm saying this as someone who hires photographers as part of her job), but she has the most easy-going and positive attitude. Sandra impressed my husband and I right away, and while I was reluctant to have an engagement photo session (I found them cheesy), she convinced us it's her way of getting to know the bride and groom prior to the wedding day to see how they are in front of the camera, for everyone to get comfortable together, etc. So I agreed. And what happened? We ended up buying a custom book of the photos because we loved them so much! :-) I'm awaiting my wedding photos now but based on the "sneak peek" and based on what I know of Sandra's work, I'm positive I'll be blown away.

When my partner and I were planning our wedding, we wanted a photographer that could capture our amazing day and offer images that would bring in all back to life. We could not be happier with the time spent with Sandra, her professionalism, her warmth and her amazing talent! She captured the romance, excitement, beauty and love that was shared on that day. We never felt rushed or stressed and her presence was not overwhelming during the ceremony. All the guests commented on how lovely she was and how she was able to take photographs without being noticed. The images from our day are breath taking! I highly recommend her!
