We got married July 2023 and worked with Kim and Jessalyn to plan the wedding. Kim was our first point of contact and was very upfront with everything! What was provided, what wasn’t, what was included in the quote and what wasn’t. I was never surprised by the information I was given. It was such a huge relief!! Kim also was so patient with my crazy back and forth to save a few bucks! She not only understood but tried to help in every way she possibly could!! Leading up to the wedding I was very stressed trying to do as much as I could and save those few last dollars. Kim told me it was time for Jessalyn to take over and the hand off was seamless!! Jessalyn took everything off my plate about two weeks before the wedding which was very surprising to me because I was only expecting help the day of the wedding. She took over contacting the other vendors to make sure they knew who what when where and why and finalized the schedule for the day of the wedding leaving me nothing to do but enjoy the fact that my wedding was finally here!! As soon as we arrived at San Destin Kim and Jessalyn were ready! They greeted me at my hotel helped me get checked in and helped calm my nerves for the dinner rehearsal. Side note, my fiancée and I attended the funeral of one of our very dear friends hours before our dinner and so when I say these two ladies went above and beyond, its and understatement! Wedding day- they had everything under control. I was able to get my hair and make up done in peace and enjoy time with my girls and family. They met with all the vendors when they showed up and really just made the day as stress free as possible for me and my husband. Even flexed our entire wedding since we had to move it inside due to rain, and again did that without stressing the bride!! During the wedding they made sure we ate food, had water or our drink of choice the whole time, and kept the timeline on track all the way up to our coordinated exit!! Jessalyn even rallied some of the guest that had a little too much. My only complaint is that the wedding is done and these two ladies have other brides to focus on other than me!! Working with them was like working with my best friends who had nothing but our best interests in mind. Here’s my advice, spend an extra few bucks! You won’t regret it! -

Best wedding I’ve been to
Our wedding was amazing with the help of the ladies here. They responded within 24 hours whenever I had a question or concern. The day off was phenomenal. They definitely helped make this my DREAM wedding. -

Best Wedding Experience!!!
If anyone is looking for a beautiful location for their wedding I highly recommend the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. We had our ceremony on the beach and then our reception on the marina beach. We worked with Jennifer & the Sandestin wedding planner Zoe and they were beyond amazing!! The accommodated us in every way possible. We told them our vision & budget and they made it happen. Working with them made this whole wedding process easy and stress free!! -

I honestly have to say to any couple looking for the best resort to get married at, choose Sandestin!! I think there are probably a lot of beautiful places to get married but what makes the difference was the wedding planning from Sandestin Zoe!!! She seriously made my event stress free and super organized. She was amazing to work with from start to end!! As someone who is very type A she made me feel at ease, there are so many different venue options in the property to choose from. Highly Recommend!! -

I definitely recommend Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort; it has been our sanctuary our special place with ourselves and our kids and also now our destination for our beautiful wedding.
Jennifer Hankins, Lisa, and the whole team have not only made our vacation stays beautiful but Jennifer Hankins made our and my dream wedding come true.
The attention to detail, the exceptional service, organization, managing all our vendors and just pure kindness and overwhelming perfection.
Thank you for giving my family and us the magical wedding I’ve always wanted and dreamed of.

Lysbeth Sent on 10/12/2018I just had my wedding at this venue on September 29th 2018 and it exceeded all my expectaions! The staff was great, proffesional and responded effectively to all my emails. I must highlight their Amazing, Most talented and Creative Chef I have ever encounted, Chef Javier! Chef Javier’s Masterpiece Puertorican Menu was the most delicious piertorican food I have ever had, even my Mom and Granny agreed, all my guests are still raving about it, thank you so much!!

Jessica Sent on 08/23/2018Truly the most beautiful place to get married!! Mary-Katherine and Wayne were incredible, I couldn't have done it without them! It was raining the morning/afternoon of our wedding and we moved the ceremony from the beach to the bay view terrace last minute and everything turned out perfectly!! If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I highly recommend this resort for you special day. -

The setting is beautiful , service hands on and all will be handled with class, taste, patience and LOVE! Mary Catherine will start to become like FAMILY! She was amazing in every way . Now that it’s over - I miss her!! She took every call , allowed many many meeting with me over the past year to go over and over everything and gave superior advice from the heart. She also helped me stay on budget! It was done even better than we expected or could have dreamed for!
Having it on the resort all weekend allowed everyone to be together in one place for more than just the big day. Having the weeeknd together there makes lasting memories and deeper bonds with everyone FOREVER!! The property is beautiful and the stunning rooms on the resort are so comfortable - so all of your guests are happy and closeby too making the event weekend even more special and memorable!
I just got home from the wedding weekend and as the MOB should be exhausted - instead I am still on a high from it all! It was perfect ! I would do it all again TODAY and not change ONE THING!! Thank you Mary Catherine and to everyone there who worked so hard to make it the BEST DAY EVER!! -

Bayside Ballroom Wedding
We were married at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in September 2023. Our ceremony took place in the bayview room and reception in the bayside ballroom.
Originally, we worked with someone who was not very responsive. However, once Kim took over, we felt like we were really taken care of. She was available for many questions, even sending specific photos of the venue. We took a chance and booked the venue based on reviews and the website.
Jessalyn was our day of coordinator and is the best. She handled coordinating with our vendors, ensuring we had a realistic timeline and set up for the day. Additionally, finding and setting up a backup location for raincalls.
Our guest to this day still rave about the food (crab cakesand the chocolate cake were standouts.). Overall, we were very happy with how the team worked to ensure our special day went off without a hitch.
The bayside ballroom is a little outdated but we rented drapes and that transformed the room. Additionally, the patio is uncovered so its not ideal for a hot, hot day or rainy day.
There are great locations for family photos, amazing food and extremely helpful staff to make sure your wedding day is perfect. -

Beautiful wedding venue with average service
Every wedding venue is going to have pros and cons. The SanDestin resort is absolutely stunning, our venue location was gorgeous, and the resort was without a doubt the perfect place to have a destination wedding for our guests. However, as a bride it makes me sad to say that I wish that my experience working with them had been better. Especially being out of state. I tried to be as understanding as possible but communication was poor from the very beginning of us booking with them. We would go weeks without responses and as it got closer to our wedding we thought that would get better and it didn't. My outside day of coordinator had to constantly follow up on things, which went beyond his contracted duties. I think for as many venue choices that they have, there wasn't enough people on their team to handle the 2022 wedding boom. Then, both wedding coordinators on the resort quit two weeks before our wedding. The new coordinator, Kim, who stepped in did a great job getting caught up, was super responsive, friendly, and did everything she possibly could to make sure what we had planned for an entire year went off without a hitch. At the end there were a lot of hidden prices (factor in taxes and service fees when you're budgeting), anything outside of the basics cost extra, our food was overcooked and dry, our appetizers were cold, and they supplied us one bartender for 106 guests. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and we were incredibly happy that day being surrounded by the people we love in a stunning setting. However, I think there are other places you can get better value for your money that are just as beautiful and less expensive. Like The Beach House Restaurant, which is on the beach side of the resort but separate from the SanDestin. We had our rehearsal there and our experience working with Kelly there was fantastic. I know SanDestin is working on restructuring their wedding program but just some things to be mindful of if you are still deciding. These are just some things I wish that I knew before spending tens of thousands of dollars with them. -

Although our wedding pulled through and was amazing the process of getting there was terrible. From not getting back to me. To trying to add costs in. To people being completely rude and disrespectful. Was told that I wasn’t going to have anyone reach out to me until end of July “it only takes a week to plan your wedding”
They threw all my left over cake in a to go box. They just really didn’t care for us as the customer. Very unfortunate considering the amount of money spent.
Wedding manager couldn’t even welcome us into town after I asked to speak with her. Just the beginning of this.Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort's reply:
