I cannot recommend working with Marissa enough. She is everything you could dream of in a wedding planner AND THEN SOME. I found Marissa after booking a venue tour guide with her once my fiance and I decided we wanted to get married in Todos Santos. She showed us a variety of venues both in size, cost and formality so I really could understand all my options. While the venue may have still been up in the air, working with Marissa was a no brainer. (which was also great because she applied the cost of our tour to our wedding fee) She has a very approachable, calm, grounding energy - which is reflected in her team and the vendors that she works with - at no point during the wedding planning process did I feel stressed or frantic energy from her or any of our vendors. (even when I was late on deadlines and not as responsive on my emails....sorry marissa!) She is the epitome of good energy/people attracting good energy/people and you can tell the venues and vendors that work with her are genuinely happy to work with her and want to provide the best service they can. She also lives in the Pescadero area but is from the states so that comes in handy for managing any language or cultural barriers on either side. She knows how things run in Mexico and can communicate it for you and to you (and to your parents lol)
Yes she planned a beautiful wedding, stayed incredibly organized, will advocate for you, was responsive, responsible, able to problem solve on the fly and anticipate hiccups so that the day of the wedding ran smoothly, and recommended EXCELLENT vendors (highly recommend her content contacts!).
But my FAVORITE thing about Marissa is that she never made me feel bad. I know that sounds silly because no bride should feel bad from their wedding planner. But the sad truth is some planners can be judgmental especially when it comes to spend. Not ONCE did I feel awkward or embarrassed asking Marissa to find a less expensive option when I started to get overwhelmed with wedding prices. She always met my requests to cut costs with realistic and creative alternatives so I felt like I really knew what I was paying for and what I was choosing to forego without feeling like I was being cheap. She also negotiated with vendors when I needed it, or told me when something was a good price and I should feel good about a quote. And if you change your mind or something comes up last minute she doesn't shut you down or get frustrated with last minute swaps - she knows those things are inevitable and handles those changes with grace. She is honest, humble, free of judgment and genuinely just wants to help you however she can which creates a wonderful level of trust.
That comes to my last point. YES she can help you create your DREAM wedding if you are one of those Type A brides that has always dreamt of her wedding her whole life- she will make those details come to life. But just as importantly she can help you discover WHAT your dream wedding is for all of my TYPE B BRIDES out there that never dreamt of their wedding and feel decision fatigue and overwhelm (me.). As an extremely ADD Type B bride I felt SO INCREDIBLY supported by Marissa, her organization and her recommendations throughout the whole process. Any Type B brides reading this, I hope you feel a sense of relief because you have found your wedding planner - it's Marissa.
Marissa is worth EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME- which by the way she also is very reasonably priced in an already crazy priced industry, AND on top of that she donates a portion of her proceeds to local charity. I can't thank her enough for making my wedding weekend so special and for keeping me calm and organized throughout the planning process. We should all be so lucky to have a Marissa in our lives -

Hiring Marissa was an no-brainer when we were interviewing wedding planners. We didn’t want to speak to anyone else after we met her! She was transparent and very approachable. She was super professional but also felt like an instant friend, which was exactly what we wanted: someone we could trust AND feel comfortable with, someone who would have our back and be honest with us, someone who made the planning process easier AND enjoyable! She knew exactly who to recommend for vendors and curated an absolute DREAM team. She kept us organized and on track making the planning process practically seamless! Out of all of the other weddings I’ve been in (8 total), I’ve seen how a good planner makes all the difference. I fully credit Marissa for making not just our wedding day but the entire weekend of events so effortless and heavenly in comparison. Even when there were hiccups along the road which were out of our control (I.e. a reception venue condemned a month out), she approached the situation with confidence and a calm demeanor making it simple for us to let go and trust her to work it all out. We were able to truly relax and enjoy our wedding weekend because of how gracefully she planned the whole thing. To say the least, she exceeded our expectations and made our wedding EVEN BETTER than we would have ever imagined despite her having to adjust the reception in just a couple weeks. We knew that we had nothing to worry or stress about with Marissa by our side. She went above and beyond for us and out of her way to make sure our wedding was magical. We never once doubted her vision. From the beginning, she had our whole hearts–and she held them with such tenderness. She is an angel, and we truly believe no one else could have done what she did for us. We adore her, and we miss her already! -

Marissa and her assistant Meredith were incredible planners and we recommend them 100%. Marissa did an incredible job of creating our vision. They both had incredible patience for my ever changing thoughts and opinions. Marissa was responsive every time I had a question, she was detail oriented and extremely knowledgeable about the area, the venues, and the vendors she recommended were incredible. Marissa never said “no” to an idea and would help me shape it and ask questions I wouldn’t think to ask. Her calm demeanor made me feel confident when everybody kept commented before the wedding why I was so calm and I would say “because of my wedding planner”. Lastly, she was incredible versatile, we wanted a colorful wedding and she was able to see our vision, but I know she would be able to adapt to anybody’s vision. -

Having been an event producer before, I went back & forth on whether we needed a full-service planner. But we have absolutely no regrets in hiring Marissa for our Todos Santos wedding. She did an incredible job and was so worth it! In the year leading up to the wedding, a lot was happening in our personal lives, and it was a godsend to have Marissa there to keep track of everything. She was fast, efficient, and super-communicative. From our first meeting, she got us right away. We wanted to be smart with our budget, still have a beautiful wedding, and also bring in the local vibes. Living in nearby Los Cerritos, Marissa gave us so many great recommendations that other planners didn’t know about and was able to chase vendors down in-person for us. She was always cool, calm, and collected, which is extremely helpful and grounding for a bride on a chaotic day 😌 In the end, we got the amazing wedding weekend we wanted and we couldn’t have done it without her. Simply THE best
It’s hard to put into words just how incredible Marissa was in planning our wedding! Simply put, we would choose her again in a heartbeat. From start to finish, she was completely on top of every detail—managing spreadsheets on every topic from our timeline to payments, sending calendar reminders, seamlessly coordinating with vendors—while bringing an incredibly calming presence to the entire process. She has a way of handling everything so effortlessly that it puts you at ease. There were moments in the planning process when I wondered if I should be doing more, but time and time again, Marissa had it all covered—going above and beyond to create THE most stunning wedding weekend we could have ever imagined. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about it since the last song played on the dance floor, and that is entirely thanks to her! Marissa is an excellent planner, bringing your vision to fruition within your budget. Marissa worked with us to achieve the best day and weekend we could have ever imagined (including everything going according to plan). Marissa got our "vibe" right off the bat and worked with us to achieve the welcome party, wedding day, and even helped us coordinate a relaxing day at the beach afterwards.
The best part - it was stress free. Marissa worked with us to find and manage the vendors and make sure we were on top of our own deadlines. -

Saltwater weddings, particularly, Marissa, made our wedding magical. It started with our first zoom meeting with Marissa where she was friendly, matter of fact, clearly knowledgable, and passionate about putting on great events in Mexico (ours was in Todos Santos). Coming from the states and not having visited many of the venue options available, nor having the local connections, we were nervous in our ability to host such an important event well. Marissa and Saltwater exceeded expectations. They asked us how much or how little we wanted them to do, letting us decide their role in the wedding. They gave us realistic estimates in terms of what was available given our relatively short timeline and pricing (beating budget!). We wanted to plan little and be involved in more of the high level decisions, which made for a great experience because it was all put together for us with regular checkpoints along the way. And Marissa wasn't just there to help with the wedding day, she provided recommendations for where guests could stay, things to do in and around town, and even helped with pre-dinner family reservations, etc. Everything about it went smoothly. Wedding day was spectacular and I felt like I was able to focus on the most important part of that day, my fiancé and getting married. I would provide Marissa and Saltwater Weddings with my unreserved recommendation for anyone wishing to host a wedding or any other event. -

Amazing Experience
Marissa helped us immensely, we truly could not have brought our wedding weekend to life without her!! She went above and beyond during planning, and during the weekend itself, to make sure everything went as smoothly and as stress-free as possible! Her knowledge of local vendors, and ideas and solutions were all so helpful. We had a large 4 day wedding weekend and she was a part of the planning and execution for every single event, making sure they all went perfectly!
Marissa dealt with my (many) emails, questions, and large ideas for a year and a half and always did everything possible to make my dreams come true. Everyone who attended our wedding made a comment to us about how amazing she was, it was truly felt by all the guests! She made sure we had the wedding weekend of our dreams, were able to actually enjoy it, and that all of our guests had a wonderful time!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Marissa! As a pretty Type - A bride, Marissa blew me away with her organization, attention to detail, response time, understanding of todos santos and the vendors and helping with anything I need at any time!! From day 1,(1.5 years before the wedding) Marissa’s communication with me with incredible. She never made me feel like I was bugging or that’s my requests or ideas were too much! Everything we dreamed up, came to life so perfectly!
There actually isn’t 1 thing that we had planned that didn’t turn out perfectly and that still shocks me!!
Marissa helped us with our welcome party, rehearsal, wedding day & day after party! And everything was more perfect than we could have even imagined! She even went all the way out to La Paz to source donuts for us!!
Marissa knows todos santos & the whole Baja area incredibly well too & having her live in town to nudge vendors when needed was incredibly valuable. We couldn’t have had the wedding we did, without her! Forever so greatful!
We highly recommend Marissa to any future brides and grooms getting married in Baja!! -

Where do we even begin? Working with Marissa was the single best wedding decision we ever made. Somehow, having a ninety person international destination wedding truly felt easy with her.
The planning:
Planning a wedding over the course of a year is a long time to be chatting with someone, asking them for updates, etc. especially when you’re spending a lot of money, which can be very stressful. Marissa was always extraordinarily responsive, accommodating, and so receptive to all of our feedback. She always kept us on schedule with reminders and updates without being nagging or overbearing. She also never had an ego about decisions we were making or any of the last minute changes that we requested and was always just excited to build our perfect weekend with us. A specific example of her resourcefulness: we had been looking at local photographers and felt a bit stuck. After seeing my inspo images, she suggested a bride whose wedding she had planned a few years prior who was also a photographer, who we ended up working and was amazing - we never would have found her without Marissa!
The actual event:
During our wedding weekend, everything was effortless, smooth, and remarkably seamless. Marissa and her team were also somehow everywhere and no where (which is exactly what I needed as the bride experiencing a lot of big feelings!)
We cannot adequately put into words what she meant to us. She was a comfort in moments of stress, an ally in moments of frustration, and just the kindest cheerleader in our happiest moments. She helped us turn our dream wedding into a reality - hire her! You won't be sorry!! -

Could not have asked for more!
We hired Marissa in Fall 2022 and she helped us plan and execute on our dream beach wedding in November 2023 in Playa Los Cerritos, BCS! Throughout the entire process, Marissa was communicative, helpful, and so great to work with. Wedding planning for so many can be stressful and time consuming - Marissa has such a proactive approach to planning that we never felt stressed throughout the entirety of the planning process.
She provided us with recommendations based on vendors she had worked with in the past, worked within our budget, and even negotiated with our vendors on our behalf during the booking process. On the day of the wedding we truly did not worry about a thing knowing that Marissa and her team were making sure that everything went off without a hitch! All of our guests had an amazing time and we got multiple "best wedding ever" texts after the weekend was over :)
Wish we had another wedding so we could hire Marissa again! If you are looking to plan your dream wedding in Baja, Marissa is the only call you have to make. Thank you so much Marissa! -

If you are looking for a wedding planner that will make your wedding dreams come true, Marissa is definitely your gal. From the moment we met and started working together, both my husband and I knew that she was a perfect fit.
I wanted to surprise my husband with a Cigar Bar and Lounge for our reception and she helped execute it perfectly- while keeping it a secret from my very observant husband!
Marissa was extremely responsive and helpful with all our many questions for the vendors we worked with and we felt like we were working with a trusted friend.
We wanted an intimate day and weekend full of love and she helped us execute that even better than we even imagined. We look forward to catching up with her on our one year anniversary trip to Baja! -

If you're getting married in Mexico, hiring a planner is your most important decision. It would be best to have someone you can trust as most of the planning and coordinating with vendors takes place while you're thousands of miles away.
And I'm so glad we trusted Marissa at Saltwater Weddings with our dream wedding in Todos Santos.
She helped us create the relaxed, intimate, beautiful wedding we envisioned. And her prompt communication has continued to impress us - both leading up to and after the event.
Many of our guests shared that our wedding was the best one they've ever attended. While the people make the event, that only happens with Marissa's guidance throughout the process. Highly recommended. -

Stress free wedding
We were 50/50 on eloping or planning a wedding and when we finally chose wedding we had a serious agreement that it needed to be stress free. We have been a part of so many weddings where bride/groom are stressed out and we wanted nothing to do with that. The planning process with Marissa was so incredibly FUN. We had done quite a bit of research before hand and many of her top vendors aligned with our list and vision. She is an executer - we had key vendors booked in a matter of 1 week! Granted as a bride/groom we knew what we wanted. Trusting in her allowed us to take 5 months off, post sending out invites, from thinking or doing anything related to the wedding. Once we got closer to the date, she kept us on track (to dos and budget), super quick to respond, great to bounce design ideas off of as we designed and printed our own stationary and is so knowledgeable about the Todos Santos area and made amazing suggestions for a casual welcome party, places to eat, stay and activities. I think every single one of our guest commented at how seamless the wedding went and one person even told us we were the calmest bride and groom she had ever seen. We are beyond happy we found Marissa as a wedding planner but even more excited for a new friend we'll need to visit again soon in Todos Santos. -

Marissa did such an amazing job for our wedding. She was extremely organized, responsive, respectful, worked within our budget of $25k, and kept us on track with the planning process (particularly helpful for someone like me who tends to procrastinate). She was very flexible so when we changed our mind about something she took it in stride. She also has excellent taste and was really good at enhancing our vision so our wedding looked and felt even more beautiful than we had imagined. And the vendors she recommended were worth every penny. Honestly, I could go on and on....Overall she kept the wedding planning process and the wedding day fun, easy, and worry free. We could not recommend her more highly!!! -

Marissa was instrumental in our wedding planning process. We had visited Todos Santos 5 years ago and knew this was where we wanted to get married. Unfortunately we weren't able to come down to view our venue or meeting with vendors but the moment I spoke with Marissa I knew I would be able to trust her. She was in constant communication and followed up with vendors in a timely fashion (sometimes even going to the restaurant to track them down). Our wedding was the best day/night of our life and it would not have been possible without her. Thank you so much Marissa and we can't wait to come back down to the Baja and grab dinner/ margaritas at Barracuda! -

My wife and I are both producers. So we're used to managing complex, high-wire stress-fests. When we decided to get married in Baja, where we had both spent some time, we thought we'd try our very best to avoid the Wedding Industrial Complex. I even thought we might plan & coordinate the whole thing ourselves. Or only hire someone part-time to help with only the last month of planning... wow, was that naive! In hindsight, though, I can say with confidence that my instincts proved right on one point, at least: hiring Marissa.
We interviewed our share of wedding planners (and photographers and caterers) and picked all of their brains and sponged up their experiences. None of them was right-- until we met Marissa. She got our vision right away (and helped us stay true to it... even while accommodating me as I inevitably tried to shoe-horn in More & More and Bigger & Bigger, becoming a bit of a Bridezilla myself in the process). Mostly it was just the way that she radiated calm, which is exactly what you want in the person you have to lean on in the moments that inevitably come during the course of planning a wedding.
I just can't say enough about her in this regard. She was incredibly patient with us while we deliberated, sometimes for months at a time, various creative decisions and logistics. She always kept us organized on track and made sure we didn't miss any important deadlines. When unexpected challenges came up, she calmly solved every problem as it came. Our DJs, friends of ours, got COVID four days before the wedding -- and Marissa found us a new local DJ no problem. On the day of the wedding, circumstances beyond our control meant we had to move our ceremony from our planned location to an area nearby. She helped us navigate the decision and then managed all our vendors seamlessly to change course without missing a beat. In the end, the new location turned out to be perfect. And at every turn, she delivered that help with composure and a generosity of spirit that have left us forever in our debt. Plus, she's simply a joy to work with. In the end, our wedding was the best week of our lives. And we owe no small part of that success to Marissa. -

We couldn't say enough amazing things about Marissa. Planning from afar is really hard, and Marissa has the inside knowledge of things that you would NEVER find out on Google including unique venues, catering companies etc. We thought we could do it without a planner, but it wouldn't have been nearly as special. We couldn't recommend Marissa highly enough. Thank you for all your help! -

Amazing wedding planner
Marissa was such a pleasure to work with! She put together the most perfect wedding for us, making my vision become a reality. Any questions or concerns I had she got right back to me and helped calm my nervous. Our guest had to travel to attend and she was there to help make the whole process as stress free as possible for us. She really thought about every detail and turned our yard into a beautiful wonderland for us, we couldn’t be more happy. -
