I am absolutely the last person who would have signed up for a boudoir photo shoot. It took a lot of encouragement from my friends and even more staring down my body image demons to get there. Before our engagement session with Liz she handled our pre-photography anxiety beautifully, so I knew she would handle my vulnerability with grace. When I saw the incredible photos from the engagement session and how she captured the love and connection between my fiancé and me, I knew I would want to work with her again. Her studio is incredible- it has the best light and the style of the shoot was perfect, Liz has a way of capturing light like none other. I felt like a total goddess and I carry that glow with me now, even months later. Not only was the experience of having my photos taken an absolute right-of-passage into embracing my womanhood and my sexuality, the photos are stunning!! I am completely obsessed with how they turned out and, to be quite frank, my fiancé is too. She captured something that was stirring underneath the surface that I didn’t even know that I had in me. I have never looked or felt prettier in my entire life, and the best part is that girl in the photos is ME! She’s not photoshopped, she’s not touched up, and she is real. I honestly cannot recommend Liz enough for her beautiful talent!Sent on 06/19/2018
Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:Stap! Oh my gosh-could we have had any more fun?! From coffees and laughter in the Nordstrom's dressing room to mimosas and a sun-lit winter studio, that shoot was a dream, and I can't WAIT for your Mt. Hood wedding!!!!! And thank you for running away into the woods and snow with David for your engagement shoot. Also a dream. I adore you both and am so excited for all that is ahead for the two of you together...

Couldn't Recommend Her Enough (Seriously)
Liz is an incredibly talented, brilliant, warm, wonderful human being and photographer. She not only made hiring a photographer the least stressful to-do on my list, but working with her was genuinely SO fun. We had a destination wedding in the mountains and she was incredibly thoughtful about getting pictures of the gorgeous vistas and cute mountain town, which she did without me even knowing about it! Her warm and calming presence on the big day put me at such ease, she even brought me a tea when my voice started to disappear from an ill-timed sore throat. My husband and I ADORE every picture; and what an awesome problem to have, too many beautiful shots to pick from to print them all! She is not only the best photographer, her prices are very competitive especially for brides on a budget or those who elope but still want high quality and high-art portraits of their special day. I was worried about having a photographer at our intimate, small wedding, but her and her super cool husband-assistant were never "in the way," and in fact, they added to the fun! I seriously could not recommend her enough. Seriously.Sent on 06/28/2019

High Value; Excellent Product; Will Recommend
BLUF: Elizabeth is a talented photographer offering an excellent product that is of great value. Will recommend to others.
1. Responsiveness: Elizabeth was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. We had a unique situation with my (now) wife living in Spokane and me living in Texas, making communication complicated. With that being said, Elizabeth continued to stay on the ball, pinging us for information as-required and anticipating our needs/requirements with great expertise. Our questions were answered quickly and our planning-process was facilitated by her proactiveness.
2. Professionalism: Elizabeth and her assistant were consummate professionals. As mentioned earlier, she was able to anticipate our requirements and made excellent suggestions, pulling information from us when we didn't know to push it. At the wedding they succeeded at capturing key-moments (as exemplified in the resulting photographs) while never feeling like they were in the way. They managed family groups as large as 80-people with tact and professionalism.
3. Talent: Elizabeth (and her secondary) did excellent work for us and we are very happy with the results. One of the photos of my wife were used for an advertisement, speaking towards the recognized quality of such photographs (not to mention that she even managed to make me, the groom, look good!). In the end, we (and our families/friends) were extremely happy with the photographs that we received well before the negotiated deadline.
In the end, Elizabeth does very good work, runs a tight ship, and I would definitely recommend her to others.

Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:Thank you SO much, Ken + Julie! It’s always such a special gift to serve such warm and generous families who value photography and recognize all the hard work that happens behind the scenes. Ken-we totally succeeded in getting that rim-lighting on you, didn’t we? ;) haha! Have the very best first Christmas together! Blessings on you and your whole big beautiful family this holiday season!

It was such a stretch for me to do a bpudoir shoot, but I knew that it was important for me and my confidence that I face some of my insecurities head on, as I am becoming a wife in a few short weeks. But I was nervous. It could have gone a million different directions, but thanks to Liz, it went in the very best way it could. I instantly felt like she was a someone whose heart and creativity I can trust. In between my crazy schedule, planning a wedding, a cross-country move and a few other things to jungle, she was a gracious God-send who delivered in every way. I was comfortable, encouraged and empowered in front of the camera, and I am ASTONISHED by the results. The perfect balance between delicacy, elegance and sex-appeal. Liz an extraordinarily gifted photographer and I think I found a friend when I found her too, something I definitely didn't expect. I recommend Scarlet & Sage one hundred times over, if you're even considering, please just go for it. It's worth EVERY penny.Sent on 07/07/2018

Thank you again so much- happy last-minute wedding planning! Eep! So soon!! xx

Elizabeth and Joel helped make our wedding one of the best days of our lives. They were professional but relational from the first time I talked with Elizabeth. They were flexible in making sure we captured all the photos that were important to us and did it all with a smile on their face. Sage and Scarlet Photography will always be who I recommend now. Thank you so much Elizabeth and Joel!Sent on 07/06/2018
Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:Aw! Thank you Kayle-your review means so much! YOU kept a smile on your face all day and it was beautiful and inspiring-we loved your wedding and we loved every minute of working with you and your family!

If you get the chance to book Sage and Scarlet for your wedding... DO IT!!! When I approached Liz about a destination wedding (Glacier National Park), she did not hesitate to say yes to it all. She gave me things to think about in that initial phone call that would make the day go smoother and then continued to check in with me leading up to the wedding. She was immensely helpful. On the day of, I had a few panic moments and she was a calming force. She made me feel comfortable being photographed and made things feel very natural. One thing we had talked about was doing a day after photo shoot to take advantage of different locations in the park. But the day after, wild fires had blown up and there was no way we could do it. She had the idea of going back to the park a month later to get the fall colors. I don't know that there are any other photographers out there that would have committed to that much extra time or effort. I would recommend Liz 100%. You really cannot go wrong. Her talent, dedication and wonderful calming personality is second to none.Sent on 06/25/2018
Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:Anna-what an amazing review. You really did have my dream wedding, and I would shoot in the mountains every day if I could-especially if I was working with clients like you and Eli every time! Thank you for sharing your day/month with me, haha! Your wedding was worth it-thank you for trusting me to make the call of cancelling your day-after shoot. I'm SO glad we waited a month and got those fiery colors, views, and snowstorm instead, lol! (Amazing how the weather held off until exactly when we called it a day! I love stuff like that...)

Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:What is a wedding without that fullness of joy-and you two were exploding with it! Thank you for filling my day with your beautiful smiles even though we barely knew each other! Your wedding was one of 2017's very sweetest...

I couldn't say enough wonderful things about Liz personally and professionally. She did my maternity photos when I was 38 weeks pregnant. She has such a kind and caring spirt that really makes you feel comfortable. She was so great at directing me with poses and knew the perfect locations to get me the look I wanted. She has such an amazing way of capturing light and the most stunning photos. The photos I got back not only exceeded my expectations but I look beautiful in them (which isn't easy to do when your are 38 weeks pregnant). I recommend her to anyone looking to get amazing photos you can cherish for many years.Sent on 12/01/2016

When it came to planning our wedding in February, just about everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. The one exception was our photographer, Elizabeth, who helped make our memories so magical and beautiful, despite all the stress we were under. From the first time we talked to Liz about what we needed, she put us at ease, and was willing to work with us to find a package that would fit our budget. She brought a fun, carefree element to our portraits session that made our photos so fun! She paid attention to the larger picture as well as the smaller details. From the picturesque Seattle skyline view to the couture beadwork on my dress, she captured it all! We have received so many compliments on our portraits and candid photos, and we love that they’re not quite like anybody else’s! Elizabeth's outdoor photography is stunning, and her indoor shots are so beautiful too. We highly recommend Inlumen Photography, and couldn’t be more pleased with our pictures. If you're looking for someone with a great eye and attention to detail, who can also put you at ease, book Elizabeth & Inlumen Photography!Sent on 12/17/2016

I have dreamed of having some photos done by Elizabeth for quite some time now, so I was ridiculously excited when she agreed to come all the way from Spokane to our home in Seattle to do a newborn photo session with us and our 3 week old baby girl! It was a great privilege to work with her, and we love and will always treasure the keepsake images she provided us with. She is so thoughtful and kind and has such an amazing ability to capture everyday beauty with natural light. We highly recommend Inlumen Photography.Sent on 08/08/2015

Our photography experiences (wedding and maternity) with Elizabeth were incredibly positive. She accords a tender and generous attention to small and often neglected details. The beads of a necklace, handmade decoration, or background flora come to mind. Still, her subjects remain the focal point and star of her shots. Besides this, Elizabeth's ability to capture light sets her apart from many other good photographers. And she has a very relaxing energy. With Elizabeth, awkward smiles or forced expressions melt away and the shoot truly becomes more about the interaction between the subjects rather than a stilted or shy performance.Sent on 07/12/2015

My (now) husband and I had so much fun having our engagement photos done with Elizabeth! She truly has an opportunistic eye for settings, light, and detail. She'll get you a unique set of meaningful photos that capture the natural chemistry between you and your partner. The only struggle we had was deciding which ones to feature on the Save The Date cards! Thank you, Elizabeth!Sent on 08/02/2015

Having Liz as my wedding and boudoir photographer was an incredible experience. I felt so valued and honored by the way she desired to tell my story through her art and listen and craft a unique experience I will never forget. I got the boudoir shoot leading up to the wedding and she went over the top in helping me shop for apparel and planning where the shoot would be--at sunrise on a beach! We drove all the way to a special location and spent the night. We got up SO early to get out onto the water and she had brought a car full of beautiful props, complete with fresh peonies, coffee and mimosas:) It was such an extravagant treat--oh and the pictures turned out brilliantly. Her use of light and the creative ways she handled dealing with a strong wind that morning were admirable and artistic. She is a gifted stylist as well as photographer, and she did SO much more than just snap a few photos. I felt very cared for and loved:) She was still working on putting together packages, so I would say there was a little confusion at times over the contract, but otherwise she handled everything professionally. Her timing was speedy and I got photos quickly and the gallery was beautiful! Wonderful experience, photos that will last a lifetime:)Sent on 06/27/2018
Sage and Scarlet Photography's reply:Ohhh my goodness-thank you for the beautiful review-what a memorable morning, haha! And yes-bringing Boudoir into my packages was a messy, growing, and empowering experience for me last year-thank you for being the most patient, beautiful bride! Peonies and coffee every day!

Inlumen photography did a great job on our wedding photos. Elizabeth really captured the feel of our families and our wedding! I picked them mostly for how well they are able to work with different lighting in their photographs, and they did not disappoint with the lighting in our wedding photos. I would highly recommend Inlumen for any photography needs.Sent on 08/15/2016
