Loved My Wedding Makeup!

I’m so happy I had Sachiko Yanase as my makeup artist! She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She took her time with everyone and made sure we all looked our best. My makeup lasted the entire day and night, even through all the happy tears and dancing!

Sachiko was such a calming, kind presence on a busy morning, and her prices were so reasonable for the amazing work she does. I can’t thank her enough! 💕

Amazing hair and makeup artist!

Sachiko is quite possibly the sweetest person I have ever met! I was looking for makeup artists who could deal with Asian features and skin tones and she delivered! The wedding package I booked included 10 services (e.g., hair and makeup for 5 people) but we actually ended up using only 8 of the services for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my sister. Sachiko did an amazing job on all of us and also stayed throughout the first look and family portraits to touch up my hair and makeup. She is incredibly warm and truly treated us like family rather than clients!

Super talented and a joy to work with!

Sachiko is incredibly talented, accommodating, kind, and an absolute joy to work with! I hired her for my wedding at Oheka Castle, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The absolute best

Sachiko felt like the most caring older sister who wanted to make you feel and look your best at your wedding. During the trial, Sachiko encouraged me to try a bunch of different hairstyles to make sure I really liked the look - we must've tried at least 10 hairstyles and really was not expecting that! Before the wedding day, I sent her my hair accessories and jewelry for feedback. She was so thoughtful with her recommendations and even asked her stylist friends for their perspective too! On the wedding day, she made my husband's grandma, mother, and sister (who were doing professional H&M for the first time) feel absolutely comfortable and beautiful. The entire day was such a breeze and my hair and makeup on the day of turned out to be even more beautiful than the trial, which I didn't think was possible!!! She is an amazing person on top of being a super talented stylist, and would recommend her to anyone who wants to have the best wedding day ever!

Sachiko made us look beautiful and she has a beautiful soul

Sachiko is outstanding! This is an updated review post-wedding and if I could give more than 5 stars I totally would. Sachiko arrived right on time to start the day and completed hair and makeup looks for me, my mother-in-law, my mother and my sister. We ran exactly on schedule and she was fabulous with helping my mom and the groom's mother figure out what kind of look to go for. Everyone's "wedding day look" turned out fantastic! I also hired Sachiko for extended hours to follow us around for touchups and throughout the day and she went above and beyond to make sure all of our looks stayed intact, using meticulous details to help make everyone looked amazing through the entire afternoon and evening. We had a small mishap with my veil because the photographers had accidentally made a tear in it while taking pictures and Sachiko came to the rescue with her handy sewing skills! She even helped to patch up my veil so that it wouldn't ruin the mood - you could hardly tell anything even happened to it! And as we were taking photos, Sachiko went above and beyond to fan out my long wedding dress train, helped me move around in my gown easily, and kept my high-maintenance hairstyle looking flawless the entire time. I cannot recommend Sachiko enough - she is truly a wonderful artist, and has an absolutely beautiful soul. You won't regret it if you go with Sachiko for your special day!

Simply the best!!!!

Sachiko did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup!

Sachiko did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup and made me look and feel so beautiful! I did a trial with her about a 1.5 months before the wedding day. She was patient, listened to my preferences, and made me feel at ease. I don't normally wear any makeup at all and I have sensitive skin. Sachiko ensured me she only uses hypoallergenic products and she helped me achieve a natural look for the photos.

She was there early and ready to go when we got there. We had a tight schedule the morning of but she made it all happen. I highly recommend working with Sachiko!

An Incredible and Accommodating Artist!!

Sachiko is an incredible makeup artist who not only has amazing skills, but has been here by our side for our wedding planning process. We sought out Sachiko before Covid-19 and our wedding was unfortunately delayed. Nevertheless, Sachiko never left our side and was able to come through on our big day. She not only did an incredible job on the bridal makeup and hair, but for four additional people as well - and very quickly. She took everyones preferences into consideration and had very impressive attention to detail. Everyone had a unique look and our makeup lasted all day. Sachiko is truly skilled and we will definitely love to work with her again in the future!

No trial+ pure trust= MAGICAL

Sachiko was God sent, she came early to set up for my AM Sunday ceremony and when I say my makeup alongside my MOH and MOTB never looked so good, trust me. Her airbrush technique and makeup is an art form! I'm truly grateful to have found her for such a special day in my life. She made it all look effortlessly soft glam as I requested. I loved that she made all my best facial features shine, I felt so beautiful! (and my makeup lasted well into the after party ~15 hours). She is THAT talented. She was so patient and I trust her with any suggestions she put forth, False lashes, CHECK! More? OK! She accommodated all my requests and is just the sweetest woman ever. I would definitely be requesting her for more makeup and hair do's!

Fantastic!

She is a very talented artist! Loved her portfolio (natural/glory) and loved how she did my make-up! She was able to recreate the makeup looks on my Pinterest easily. She took the time to present to me at least 5 hairstyles on our trial day. She also accommodated my request to change my hair for the engagement photoshoot (I went straight to the engagement photoshoot after my trial). She is so sweet, and my family loved her too. I would love to be on her chair again!

Sachiko is best!!

Every bride knows wedding makeup and hair is NOT cheap but you get what you pay for. I found Sachiko through a friend's recommendation and decided to do a trial with her. As soon as we started talking, I knew I wanted to work with her because she is the absolute sweetest woman alive! Throughout my 3 hour trial, we chatted nonstop and it made the time fly by. I ended up going with her 6 services package for myself and the two moms (I hired a separate MUA for my bridesmaids to save time). I wanted natural-looking makeup and she did an amazing job making me look and feel like a queen!

Choose Sachiko For Your Wedding Day!

I can't recommend Sachiko enough! She is professional and knows the industry/weddings incredibly well. I did my wedding makeup and hair trial at her studio (it's very clean!) in Astoria and that's when I fell in love with her! She is patient and very open to feedback which I really appreciated. My "natural look" makeup looked great. I wanted an updo for my wedding and I was going from the trial to our engagement photo shoot and she took the time to change my updo into a half up half down style so that my future husband wouldn't see my wedding day hair which was so thoughtful of her to offer to do for me! On the day of the wedding, Sachiko came to set up early and my mom loved her too. She made me feel BEAUTIFUL and confident. She knew exactly what to say to calm my nerves. Oh yes- it's so fun talking to her and she kept me laughing. She even helped with my wedding dress and stayed longer to give me an extra touchup before the ceremony- talk about going above and beyond. I am so thankful for Sachiko- you should definitely choose her to do your makeup for your wedding!

A True Talent!

Sachiko is a truly exceptional talent and a genuinely kind person. She is professional, experienced, and works with a high level of detail, efficiency, and passion. Best decision ever made

Sachiko did an absolutely amazing job for our wedding! She is so experienced, talented, and kind. I never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. My hair and makeup was absolutely perfect. She was extremely patient and was willing to experiment with all different hair and makeup looks during my trial to pinpoint the exact look I wanted. Her experience allowed her to provide great advice and perfectly execute my vision. She’s so easy going and was extremely attentive on the day of the wedding. She was always on stand by for touch ups during photos and even took behind the scenes photos!! She also did hair and makeup for my mother, mother in law, and sister. They were all blown away by her talent and kindness. She’s extremely punctual and kept us on schedule for our tight timeline. She even helped with buttoning all the buttons on my dress! Absolutely AMAZING!!

Sachiko is absolutely AMAZING! I went for my trial and knew I wanted her for my wedding. Aside from being amazingly talented when it comes to hair and makeup, her personality is really what makes her stand out. I chose package B because even though I didn't have a lot of people that needed hair and makeup, I had 3 different ceremonies and wanted her to be around to do touchups for us throughout the day. She showed up at 4:45am smiling and full of energy. She was so helpful throughout the day. She carried my shoes during photos and even took photos of us herself and sent them to me so I could see them before I received the ones from my photographer. I had no bridesmaids so she even helped me with my dress when I went to the bathroom! Everyone in my family was talking about her the next day and how amazing she was. She felt like she was part of the family. My sister even told her, "I wish you were my sister!" When it was time for her to leave I was not ready to let her go but she assured me I was ready. She is an absolute gem. If she's available, book her ASAP and you will not be disappointed.

Best make-up artist!

Sachiko is amazing! Her personality lights up the room and she is so personable! During the makeup trial, Sachiko was so patient and listened to all of my concerns. We tried so many different hairstyles until finding the perfect one.

Fast-forward to my wedding day on July 2019, Sachiko came on-site to the wedding venue in Garrison, NY to do my hair and makeup as well as 5 other hair/makeup services. She created a fun and friendly atmosphere and helped me relax the morning of my big day! Everyone was so happy with their hair and/or makeup and she truly made them feel and look their best. Even my husband was amazed by how natural my makeup was. Highly recommend her! Thank you Sachiko for everything!

We love Sachiko!

Sachiko is an extremely talented makeup and hair artist, and my bridesmaids and I all looked amazing because of her on the day of. Her pricing is very reasonable, but also, Sachiko goes above and beyond. She followed us around during photos, making sure we were touched up, and even helping out with things like setup and putting my dress on. Also, you know that awkwardness at salons, etc. when you and the stylist either make stilted small-talk or spend the whole time in silence? That doesn't happen with Sachiko -- the other reviews are right; she is one of the friendliest, bubbliest people I've ever worked with. My bridal party and I -- a bunch of coastal grumps -- loved her.

Sachiko is simply marvelous! As soon as I had a wedding date, my first email was to her (girls - she books up quickly so don't wait!). Sachiko is a veteran and the best at what she does. She is so bubbly, sweet and super positive! As a bride, the hair/makeup artist is one of the first people you see on your wedding day. Her personality definitely starts your morning right! She saw a few pictures and immediately knew what I wanted! She touched me up all day and would fix my hair and veil in between photos, etc. She was always there to make sure I looked great! Sachiko is the absolute best, in every sense! Professional, friendly, kind, and crazy attention to detail. I hired her for my wedding on 7/7/18. She did hair and makeup for myself, 3 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law. Writing this review, I just realized that's more services than we agreed to originally! But she is so nice she never said a word. Everyone loved how they looked and the hairstyles did not budge all night. One thing I highly recommend is doing a trial first. I was adamant that I didn't want to look too overly made up, but was also unsure of which hairstyle I liked. Sachiko listened, and together with some sample pictures I showed her came up with the perfect look. Somehow in her greatness, she remembered everything that I wanted, and pretty much duplicated the exact look on the wedding day. Did I say she was amazing? Because she really is!

Also, listen to her when she tells you how much time she needs, she knows what she is talking about! I underestimated how much time everything would take and had her arrive an hour later than she originally requested. We didn't run late according to the schedule I set, but I did have less time for pictures before the ceremony. Sachiko even stood on the sidelines while we were taking our first look and group pictures, every so often running over to touch up my makeup. She stayed waaay later than I contracted her for, but again, she never uttered a peep or a complaint. And she stood the WHOLE time, never taking a break, even when my mom pleaded with her to please please drink some water or eat a sandwich, Sachiko politely declined and kept going. She is a beast!

In conclusion - if you need hair and makeup services, and need someone who is skilled, professional, and the nicest person ever, you are a fool if you don't hire Sachiko. :)

Sachiko was one of my favorite vendors. She was recommended by my photographer and I'm so happy he told me about her. Sachiko knew just the right way to accentuate my features. I felt like the makeup artists from my friends' weddings made me look very strange but Sachiko was able to make my whole wedding party look amazing. During my trial, she curled my hair on a rainy day. I have very straight hair that usually does not hold a curl even in the best circumstances. My hair had a nice voluminous wave the entire day. The morning of the wedding, she was such a calming presence. I did her 10 services package which includes 1 location change. She followed us around during pre-ceremony photos and made sure my hair/makeup looked good. She even held my dress as we walked around.

Sachiko is the best! She's absolutely the kindest and sweetest person I've ever met. On the day of my wedding, she did my hair along with my bridesmaids and 2 mothers. She saw that my grandmother needed to get her hair done and she willingly came to our venue to do my grandmother's hair for free. She followed me and my bridesmaids around to touch up our hair while taking our bridal party pictures since our wedding was on a very hot day. I can't express how much Sachiko is just amazing. She's super reliable, professional, and talented. She had no issues doing all of our up-dos the same exact way as the pictures!! You can't go wrong with Sachiko!!

I just had my wedding this past weekend, and I can't wait to write Sachiko a raving review for her work. She is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and her bright personality definitely made my day even more positive.

Pricing: I asked around a few stylists before going with Sachiko, and she is by far one of the more reasonably priced vendors, even though her work surpasses many. I paid an extra $20 for tolls since she had to travel to New Jersey for me. I also got her 10 service package, but I actually needed more (more like 18-20 services). So she asked her friend to help her out, Reiko, who is also amazing and did a wonderful job. In total for 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and touch-ups for 6 groomsmen + groom (only airbrush, can't even tell they had makeup on, but their complexion was more even, which is great for photos)--I paid a little under 2K, which was my budget.

Workmanship: Sachiko reads faces very well, and she did the makeup of 4 of my bridesmaids beautifully. I like her work because she never goes too heavy on the makeup, but heavy enough that the photos turn out amazing. She does the natural look very well. In fact, I had 2 girls at my wedding tell me that the makeup looked really good on everyone. She's also really good with hairstyles too and can do complicated braids and buns very well. I've had some makeup artists that does great makeup, but never gets the hair quite right. Sachiko does both very well, as does her friend, Reiko.
Extra: Sachiko was also super sweet during my photoshoot (first look) right before the ceremony. She followed us around with her makeup bag, ready to give me a touch-up between shots. She also helped me pick up my dress train, fix my veil, hold my bouquet, etc. She even left me the lip gloss so I can do the touchup myself. She was trying to be helpful in every way, and I really appreciated that.

Sachiko is the best! She makes you feel comfortable, has an eye for class and is up to date with styles and also very flexible. She knows how to do make up on Asians very well...we have specific features and she is very good with accentuating what we like. I couldn't decide on my wedding hair style the day and went from one style to another at the last minute and she was very easy going and accommodating. She was also fun to work with on the day of!

Sachiko did an amazing job on my wedding day!!! I'm so glad she was part of my big day. She was amazing from the start, when I the first met her at my make-up trial. She's super friendly, professional, and fabulous as a make-up artist. I had contacted about 20 other make-up artists and chose her because I felt like I was getting the most value. All the bridesmaid were super happy with their hair and make up. Sachiko even covered up my brother's blemishes! She followed me everywhere while I was taking pictures.

My knowledge of makeup and hair is extremely limited, especially for weddings, so I turned to other friends who all raved about Sachiko and told me to book her ASAP. I honestly did not even shop around for other artists due to a crazy work schedule and also a bit of laziness. I am super glad I did. She books very quickly as I had to book her over a year in advance!

She is absolutely amazing and the sweetest person you'll meet. She is so lovable and so generous and kind. After my apartment building caught on fire, she reached out and even offered her place to stay temporarily! She is considerably thoughtful and truly is focused on your own happiness, especially on the big day. She is definitely affordable compared to other artists, and like the other girls who have written reviews, I used her 10 services for $1000 deal.
Her work is definitely the best and she really did make me feel like a princess.

I'll say this up front: I don't understand makeup. I don't wear it regularly and when I do wear it, I can only manage to put foundation on with some chapstick and call it a day. Sachiko totally understood this and made me feel absolutely at ease with every step while also making me look beautiful. She is such a warm person and you can definitely tell she's committed to her work and her clients.

Example of this, my mother in law had gotten lost at the venue while delivering our chuppah and got back to the hotel really stressed out, late, and still not dressed. Sachiko offered to drive all the bridesmaids to the venue herself so that my mother in law could take her time getting ready and no one would be late.

I booked her for 12 services for $1000 which is an absolute STEAL at the level of work she does. This also includes false eyelashes and airbrushing, which was extra at a couple other places I looked at. Also gave me an extra tube of lip gloss and told me emphatically to "REAPPLY! After you eat, after you kiss, REAPPLY!!"

My only regret is that she only does events/weddings and professional shoots so I probably won't get to have my makeup done by her again :( Highly recommend her, she's an absolute gem.

Love, love, love Sachiko! She truly made my wedding day amazing with her sense of humor, flexibility and talent for hair and makeup. I was pretty specific about finding a hair and makeup artist who could work with Asian people as some styles just don't fit us. I did an exhaustive search online and wasn't impressed with a lot of what I was seeing - both website layout, portfolio and most importantly, price. Sachiko came to me by 2 different recommendations: my wedding planner/consultant and my hairstylist (they apparently were friends years ago).

I reached out to her via email and she was very quick to respond and answer all of my questions. I honestly was starting to feel indifferent about the whole process but took it as a sign that she was recommended by 2 people who didn't run in the same circle. I'm really happy I did b/c she exceeded my expectations in quality, value (go with the full day package!) and flexibility. Sachiko was AMAZING!

My hair and makeup trial was scheduled several months later after I booked her. I really didn't know what to expect but she skillfully translated all the Pinterest pins into something that would work for me hair and makeup-wise. She even suggested that I get subtle highlights to give my hair some depth as I was planning to leave it down and wavy. On that special day, she didn't miss a beat and did exactly what we discussed months ago. Needless to say, I felt gorgeous. Sachiko really went above and beyond as well. During my First Look, she was right there with the photographers attending to my needs: dabbing my tears after seeing my soon to be husband, carrying around my train so it wouldn't catch a snag on the old venue floorboards, holding my bouquet as it got heavy after awhile.

I would HIGHLY recommend Sachiko to any of my friends and family. I can't wait to see the photos as I know they'll be beautiful and appreciate her coming into my life at the right time!

Sachiko exceeded all my expectations in a stylist. If I could give her service 10 out of 5 stars, I would! She has received countless 5 star reviews and after working with her for my wedding it is very clear why. I was very indecisive about my hair style so did two trials with Sachiko. She was very patient, friendly and diligent during each trial and I probably tried upwards of 10 different hair styles. On the day of my wedding, she knocked it out of the park. I received so many compliments on my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids did too. She really brought out the best features in everyone to ensure that me and my entire wedding party looked beautiful on the big day. Not only is Sachiko an excellent hair and make-up artist, but she was such a pleasure to work with and so nice throughout the entire day. She chatted with each of us during the appointment, kept us calm, and was a complete joy to be around on what can be a very stressful day. I hired her for 11 hours on the day of the wedding so she could stay with us during the formal portrait sessions to provide touch ups. This was the best decision, other than hiring Sachiko to begin with of course! Sachiko was very attentive during the photo sessions and made sure that my hair/make up was touched up the whole time and that my dress was displayed properly. It was honestly like having a good friend around during the wedding day rather than a stylist. I cannot thank Sachiko enough for all her hard work and kindness on my wedding day!! Sachiko is the best of the best. She is on time and flexible with the schedule of bridesmaids/mother of the bride/bride hair and makeup. Not only will she do the style that you ask for, but she has the experience to recommend hairstyles and makeup to do for your wedding. For the quality of work that she does, she is very timely also. For makeup, she has airbrushing to make sure your face looks flawless. After getting ready for the ceremony at the hotel, she followed us to the church to do last minute touchups before the ceremony. Right before walking down the aisle, she noticed my dress may be too long in the front to walk without having to hold up my dress, and she thought that wouldn't look amazing in pictures. So she quickly helped me safety pin the front of the dress up a little, but under the dress so the pins wouldn't be seen, and this was literally 3 minutes before I walked! Sachiko is the best of everything for a wedding hair and make-up artist. She actually looked at my sample photos in advance, and did as much prep as I did before our trial. She patiently discussed each look I had in mind, and recreated what I wanted very well. She is amazingly talented, and her products are so well chosen, that my make-up looked beautiful and natural. And my hair, which she masterfully pinned to the side with stylized curls, stayed put the entire night--even during my outdoor ceremony and a night of dancing.

The quality you get with Sachiko is apparent if you've had prior trials with other people like I did. While the one other stylist I considered only communicated with me through her assistant, Sachiko personally responded me. While the other stylist only gave me 1 week to decide whether to hire her, Sachiko told me to take my time! While the other stylist barely asked my opinion, Sachiko always checked in with me, to make sure I was happy and pleased, both during the trial and on the wedding day.

Above all else, Sachiko is absolutely a joy to be around--the kind of person you want to surround yourself with on the day of your wedding. I had a small wedding party, so I got the smaller package that included bridal hair/make-up with an additional 4 services (any combination of hair/makeup)--a great offering for smaller parties! I first offered the services to my mom, who declined and decided to just do her own make-up, so I gave the services to friends. But when my mom watched Sachiko applying the makeup to them, she immediately regretted it because it was so well done!! Overall, Sachiko was sweet to us all, kind, joyful, relaxed, and generous. Sachiko Yanase is amazing! I booked her for the 6 service package. She completed my hair and make up and three other women in my bridal party on time (even did a touch up on hair and/or makeup right before we left for the ceremony. She has a relaxed nature and is very professional. During the make-up trial - the price was amazing for everything she did that day - I was able to view 4 different updos and 2 different makeup options. On the day of the wedding, she provided me with my touch up lipstick and gloss at the discounted make up artist rate (just inform her of this need). I received so many compliments on my make up and hair. My hair is naturally pin straight and so my decision to have it up, back, and to the semi-side with some curls was scary. But my hair remained perfect for 11 hours afterwards! If you want quality and perfection, reasonable pricing and professionalism, she is the one to book!

Sachiko Yanase was recommended to me by my sister in law. Now my friend's wedding in which I am a bridesmaid also hired her. Sachiko was amazing. she went over and beyond for the wedding day. She is super flexible, and is really there for you (the bride). She has so much experience, she'll tell you exactly when to put on lip gloss, she followed me around for the prewedding photos, making sure not a hair was out of place. She just did more than was expected and I was so glad I chose her.
She did a makeup trial with me. Even though I was pretty easy going, and liked the first hairstyle she tried, she said no, she wanted to try more so I could see the differences and really choose what I wanted. I still went with the first style, but she made sure I loved that style the most. She took her time to truly figure out, what was the best for me.
She is also the BEST at asian make up. She knows how to apply make up on asians without making you look too asian

Sachiko is the best, hands down. She is not only a master of her craft, but a genuine good and happy soul, who loves what she does, and imparts joy, calm, and good vibes on what can be a very stressful wedding day. When asked how she can stay upbeat and deal with brides week after week, she replies, "Easy, it's not work. This is my fun." And you believe her.

She did the hair and makeup for me and 4 bridesmaids on my wedding day. She arrived promptly at the appointed time, and stayed on schedule, turning us all into beautiful, glammed up versions of ourselves, yet managing to keep the looks fresh and natural.

If you are booking her for your wedding day, and you have at least a few bridesmaids/female family members you'd like to pamper, I highly recommend getting her 10 hour package. It comes with 10 services at a BARGAIN of $100/service compared to what some other comparable level stylists charge, and you get to have her accompany you for 10 hours. That means you can have unlimited touch-ups throughout the day, or even change your hairstyle for the reception if you wish. Airbrush makeup and false eyelashes are included with this package, which can be extra with many stylists.

Her hairstyles and makeup looked awesome throughout dancing and a hot July day (thankfully not that hot). She never hesitated to add a little powder or gloss if I needed it right before my photog was going to take some posed shots - think this is from her extensive experience styling models and actors for fashion shoots and movies. She even applied a little powder on my fiance/now husband to control his oily complexion, and also gave my mother-in-law a quick makeover (she was just going to have a friend do her makeup), all at no extra charge, and without being requested.

Sachiko has every quality I envisioned finding in my ideal makeup artist. I will be recommending her to every friend getting married in true NYC area from now on. She was attentive, professional and thoughtful from start to finish. I have extremely sensitive skin that causes me to break out in angry red welt-like rashes when I wear most makeups. I was really to put a paper bag over my head and call it a day when I met Sachiko. The other makeup artists I contacted with questions about what to do with my sensitive skin assured me it wouldn't be a problem and airbrush makeup is fine, which made me feel falsely hopeful. Sachiko was the only one who responded immediately and said "I can't give you an answer, you have to meet with a dermatologist. They can run tests to figure out what you're allergic to." That's when I knew I could trust her to look out for my best interests. Throughout our initial meeting, she helped me figure out makeup I needed to buy and at our trial was super careful to avoid cross contaminating her makeup with mine. On the day of, she brought a special ziploc bag of brushes and applicators just for me to avoid cross contamination from the applicators she used on my wedding party. Throughout the day she was always just out of sight, ready to help with touch ups. Sachiko event rushed to help my 97- year-old great aunt up and down the venue steps. My wedding day was super hectic and I kept misplacing and losing things, but Sachiko was calm and organized for the both of us. My mom is the type that never wears makeup, dresses up, or even wears her wedding ring, but she loved how Sachiko made her look. She is a consummate professional and a warm and thoughtful person. And she is the only person I would trust to deal with my sensitive skin. Everything I described in my review is in addition to her 20+ years as a makeup artist and her great taste and style. She got everyone in and out of the chair quickly without sacrificing quality.

Sachiko was hands down my favorite vendor of the night. I did a lot of research when it came to hair and makeup for my wedding day and I kept seeing amazing reviews for Sachiko. I booked her right away since I read that she got booked quickly. She was very responsive to my emails, even when she was all the way in Japan! She is so bubbly and sweet, which really calmed my nerves on the wedding day. I choose the 10 services/10 hour package. I didn't realize that she was going to stay with me for the entire 10 hours even after everyone was finished with their hair and make up! She stayed and touched up my hair and make up throughout the day. She even powdered my husband's face, taught my bridesmaids how to to remove my veil, and gave me the a tube of MAC lipgloss for me to touch up throughout the night. She went above and beyond her role, carrying the train of my dress, holding my bouquet, teaching me how to hold my bouquet in pictures, and adjusting my veil right before I walked down the aisle. Sachiko was the easiest person to work with from my first email to the moment I walked down the aisle. She instantly responded to my emails, and the trial for my engagement shoot was perfect. Over 7 months later, she remembered exactly what I wanted from my trial. She is so cheerful and helpful, from touching up my make up between photos to carrying my bouquet or dress during first look pictures. I honestly cannot stress enough about how amazing Sachiko is. Prior to booking her, I heard rave reviews about her from many friends and family members who have used her for their wedding yet I still wasn't sold. After my wedding, I am officially a Sachiko convert as well. Besides being a highly skilled hair/makeup artist, she also provides so much more on the wedding day. Her positive yet calming demeanor was exactly what I needed on my wedding day and she went above and beyond her duties by accompanying us during pictures and carrying my dress/bouquet for hours. She also fixed my mom's hair which wasn't even done through her. She was only contracted to stay until 7pm but my photographer wanted to take last minute sunset pictures and she could have easily left but she stayed an additional 20 mins to assist. I completely forgot to buy lipgloss for reapplying and she gave me the makeup forever lipgloss she used on me with no hesitation. My bridesmaids and family LOVE her and have all mentally booked her for their future weddings.

Sachiko is amazing!! Amongst the craziness of wedding planning it was so nice to work with someone who is energetic, calming and incredibly talented. I am not someone who typically wears makeup at all; it was so comforting to have a natural yet bridal look that lasted all day.

A couple of months before the wedding I went to her studio in Astoria for the makeup trial and immediately upon meeting her I felt at ease. She looked at photos of what makeup or hairstyle I had in mind and went to work. As I sat in the chair and she did my makeup, she explained the different products that she was using. She styled my hair in four different up-dos within minutes. After each one she took pictures from all different angles and took notes of the different looks. She was also very subtle with her recommendations and left it up to me which style I would ultimately choose for the big day.

The day of the wedding, she came to my house bright and early at 6:30am all ready to go. I selected the package that had 6 services which included airbrush makeup and false eyelashes (these are individually glued and not the cheesy strip kind that look fake). She did the hair and makeup for my mom, sister and me. She made us look like movie stars. The makeup lasted all day and although I typically get very oily throughout a day, the makeup stayed matte and perfect all night. We got so many compliments and it definitely helps on your wedding day to feel beautiful.

One very important thing to note is that I had picked up a lip gloss that I would use to touch up during the wedding day. In the excitement of the wedding day morning I could not for the life of me find it. Sachiko saw how panicked I was and gave me a lip gloss for me to keep on hand and use. She was so generous and warm!

Sachiko is professional, responsible and incredibly talented. If she could make me look good, she will do wonders for everyone.

Sachiko made me, my bridesmaids and the mothers look our absolute best on my wedding day. I had future brides ask me at and after the wedding about our hair and make-up artist because we looked that good! She is so warm and friendly and understood what I wanted, which was a more natural, bridal look. She also touched up my hair and make-up throughout the day and stayed with me until it was time for the reception. The eye make-up and airbrush foundation did not budge after several cries. Sachiko went above and beyond expectations in every way, and thanks to her my hair and make-up as well as my bridesmaids' and family's hair and make-up looked fantastic. I met Sachiko months ago when I scheduled a trial and was immediately drawn to her warm and bubbly personality, positivity and talent for what she does. I had no hesitation in hiring her for the full 10 hour day, and her pricing is extremely reasonable for the services she provides. She was responsive to all of my questions over the months. Finally, on the day of the wedding, she was flexible in doing last minute make-up for an additional bridesmaid, kept to the timeline, and stayed through the ceremony to do touch-ups for all of the photos. Sachiko is absolutely amazing and the sweetest person, too. I hired her for my wedding day on 3/20/13 for a small Brooklyn Bridge wedding. I did a trial with her for the hair and make up (allow for about 3 hours for the trial), and also went with a Package deal (6 services of mix/match hair or make up for $600) for myself and also to treat my mom and mother in law on my wedding day. She made everyone feel comfortable and made everyone look beautiful. She took notes from the trial and this made my hair and make up much easier on the wedding day. I also asked for very natural make up and she did an awesome job, as I absolutely loved my hair and make up. I should also note that my mom has not had her make up done professionally since her own wedding day and she raved about Sachiko for weeks! I also could not get over how great my mom looked, and I was very happy with all the services Sachiko provided. To add to it all, Sachiko is one of the warmest, kindhearted, friendliest people that I have met. I am usually a shy person, and her warm, welcoming nature was very much appreciated.

If you have any questions in particular about her services, I suggest that you email her! She is very responsive and also very quick by email! (Great for people like me who love email as a mode of communication).

I wholeheartedly recommend Sachiko. She can do a very natural look (like I wanted) or a more glamorous type of look (smokey eye, etc., that we did for fun at my trial). Having Sachiko as my hair and makeup stylist was a positive experience from beginning to end. To start things off, the hair and makeup trial is every bride's dream! She did more than 10 different hairstyles so you can figure out what style you look best in. She was incredibly professional and absolutely easy to work with. I could not have been a luckier bride. My vendors were all amazing! I was really nervous about hair and make up. I had about 3-4 trials with different vendors and Sachiko was the only one who made me feel beautiful- still looking natural.

Not only did she take care of my bridal party but the groomsmen as well. She stayed with us through the day, touching us up between takes and even sharing tears of joy with us.

I HIGHLY recommend her!

Sachiko Yanase is AMAZING! I wish I could put ten stars. She was recommended by a family friend who had used her for her wedding and now I am in debt to her. I knew when I met her after her trial made me feel beautiful I knew I needed her energy on my wedding day no matter what stresses a bride could face. She was so patient during the trial, explained every step, and didn't not let me leave until I was 100% satisfied, which wasn't that hard to do.
Now imagine your wedding day falling on the weekend after the worst hurricane to hit the East Coast since 1938. Your hotel has canceled on you and two of your bridesmaids don't have their dresses b/c they're stuck in powerless dry cleaners in lower Manhattan. You can't get ready in the place you had originally planned b/c there's no power. That was just the beginning of what I had to deal with the week of my wedding.
Sachiko was more than accommodating making last minute location changes and responding with not a minute to spare. When getting ready on the big day she was calm, made everyone comfortable, and again was not satisfied until everyone was satisfied. I've had the experience before of people are telling me that I look beautiful and not feeling it. When Sachiko was done with my hair and make-up I FELT beautiful. When I was greeted by guests many of them complimented my hair and make-up. I have already recommended her to all of my engaged friends and ones on the verge of engagement. I can't recommend her enough. You can not go wrong with Sachiko!

Sachiko did hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids and makeup for my mother and my grandmother for my wedding. She was amazing! Not only did she do a beautiful job on everyone, she was a delight to be around. Sachiko was with us from 8:30 AM until around 6:30 PM. She did all of our hair and makeup and stayed around to do touch ups during photos and right before the ceremony. She is so professional, sweet and really knew what would look best on each person. None of the women in my group wear very much makeup, so we let Sachiko pick out everything for us and she could not have been better. She did 4 very different hairstyles and they all came out great and lasted throughout the wedding and through our after-party. If you are going to have someone with you all day during quality time with your closest friends and family, I cannot think of a better person than Sachiko. She also did a very thorough trial with me so I could figure out exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. I highly and enthusiatically recommend Sachiko!

Sachiko was wonderful in doing my make up and hair for my wedding. She also did my mom and sister's hair and make up. Sachiko showed up early at the hotel than the time planned and put me at ease right away. I did my trial earlier with her so I knew exactly what I wanted.
Sachiko made sure I was happy with my hair and make up and that I was most of all comfortable. Everyone complimented me on my hair and make up and it lasted all day even with all the dancing I did throughout the evening.

Sachiko is wonderful!!!! I used her for my maid of honor, bridesmaid and my mother. She is so kind and made everything easy to do on my wedding day. Everyone looked flawless. She was easy to communicate with through email. The flower girl was getting hungry before we left for the ceremony and she was so nice to offer a granola bar to her. I thought that was very kind of her. Everyone's hair and make up lasted all day. The girls did very little touch ups. I would highly recommend her.

We had a wonderful experience with Sachiko for my sister's wedding in May. All the glowing reviews that we had read online were absolutely true! She was very calm, collected and sincere in dealing with the entire bridal party and the mother of the bride. She arrived early and worked hard all day--really listening to what each person wanted for their make up and hair styling. She made everything look very effortless and made sure we all had proper touch ups before heading out the door. She was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend her for any occasion. Sachiko was a BLESSING! She was referred to me by my first hair / makeup artist who had mistakenly double-booked me with another Catherine on the same date. Frankly, I'm glad for the mix-up, because Sachiko was a wonder to work with. I did both a hair / makeup trial (2-3 hours) and my wedding day with her (me, my mother and 3 bridesmaids).

She is super-responsive on email, and her cheerfulness comes across, even over the Internet. We went to her home in Queens for the trial, and she was so happy, and so relaxed. She talked through every product she used, and every step she was taking with my hair. She did 2 makeup options and 3 hair options, advised on how to go more or less dramatic and how to wear my veil. She even offered my bridesmaids and I discounts on wholesale brand-name makeup she acquires!

On the wedding day, she arrived right on the dot, even at 6a! All by herself, she worked efficiently through 5 women, and made each of us look and feel soooo beautiful! Totally made-up, but totally natural. Nobody's skin felt itchy or weird, nobody felt self-conscious about having too much or too little done to their hair or face. The airbrush-makeup went on and stayed on without a hitch, and Sachiko's use of individual fake eyelashes made us feel MUCH more comfortable and natural. Frankly ... we looked awesome.

Sachiko then stayed with me for the WHOLE DAY, until the ceremony was over at about 5.30p! She tended to us at our first-look photos, then at the church. She touched up our faces & our lips, re-sprayed our hair, and even applied a little bit of concealer to some of our men! AND, she handed me a new, full-sized lipstick for use throughout the night.

Sachiko is a gentle, generous soul with unceasing energy and good cheer. She will make you and your ladies look gorgeous and feel wonderful, and you will not regret having her on your wedding team!

Sachiko was one of the best vendor decisions I made. She did an amazing job on myself and my eight bridesmaids, working at an incredible speed yet still creating beautiful intricate hair styles. She is super sweet and really helped calm my nerves on the morning of.

I had requested an old Hollywood look with Rita Hayworth as my hair and makeup inspiration and she completely delivered. I got so many compliments on my wedding day look and some of the pictures truly look vintage. Everything held up the entire day and night and the airbrush makeup and eyelashes were great – really gave flawless coverage and the extra drama.

Sachiko was with us most of the day, traveling to our ceremony site from the hotel on her own, and was ready for touch ups right before we walked down the aisle. Sachiko was always there with a touchup at the ready and she really went above and beyond what she needed to do.

Her prices are extremely reasonable considering how talented she is. She was nothing but professional from the trial through the wedding day, arriving at 6:45am with a smile. I would recommend her to any of all future brides in a heartbeat.

I had a small wedding party and Sachiko did the hair and makeup for me, my one female bridesmaid and my mom. I live in New England and got married in Jersey City, NJ, and for one reason and another, I had to skip my makeup trial with Sachiko four days before the wedding. I was a little worried, but having seen all of the great work Sachiko has done, I had total confidence in her. And, it all turned out perfectly. I showed up with a few pictures of what I wanted, and Sachiko made me look great. I am not used to wearing a ton of makeup, but everyone told me that I still looked like myself. And that was exactly what I wanted. My hair also is not prone to curling, but Sachiko made the curls stay in all night -- and they were still intact when I woke up the next morning!

In addition to doing a phenomenal job with our hair and makeup, Sachiko was such a joy to spend the day with. She showed up early, peppy and ready to go, and was fun and sweet and interesting. She also acted a bit like my stand in mom (who was too self-absorbed to care about me on the day of my wedding) and gave me tips, like stand up straight, shoulders back, and smile. It was incredibly touching.

I would hire Sachiko again in a heartbeat.

The best. simply, the best. My favorite vendor that day. SHe is just so nice, she dealt with my CRAZY mom. SAchiko just took it in stride, and was super calm. She did a BEAUTIFUL job on my hair and makeup, even better than in the trial and i have to admit, she did a fantastic job on all of my 5 bridesmaids. We had her for 8 hours i think was the package..she basically stood up to the maitre'd and everyone else trying to rush me while she took an extra 5mins to make sure my veil would not fly off and that my makeup was perfect. It did not budge all night. she is awesome and made sure she did her job well. She was only supposed to stay till 6:30 but she stayed a little bit afterwards until i basically walked down the aisle in order to fix my train and veil. she is just so cool and sweet. even my crazy mom came around at the end and invited her to stay for dinner because she was happy with the job sachiko had done on us (she declined). LOVE HER.

Sachiko was the best person to work with on my wedding day. It's a good thing because she spent a lot of time making me look and feel beautiful on a most frantic/stressful day when I wanted to be a million places at once- orchestrating the table settings, directing my bridal party to tie up countless loose ends, and to pose for my first photo shoot with a photographer (modeling is hard!!!).

Even though it was the first time I ever met her, she was so warm and thoughtful like a longtime friend. We chatted as she consulted me on 2 possible looks, one of which she gently guided to with her professional opinion. She gave my bridesmaids tips on how to help me do touch ups and to pull out my long veil so my hair would stay intact. And boy did my makeup and hair stay intact- people complimented me on the graceful look, which I totally lack in real life. She used individual eyelashes and a airbrush foundation- which are very "extra" services with other vendors. I am so relieved to see on some preliminary point-and-shoot digital camera images that my neck and face were of the same color (hard to achieve during an evening wedding).

Sachiko is such an amazing lady who showed up EARLY and left only when she made sure everything looked great. Some vendors made me feel bad about aesthetic choices vs. budget so I was so relieved to have someone so positive, kind, and professional.

I fear that I will not be able to convey just how wonderful Sachiko is as she is absolutely brilliant at what she does and I felt truly lucky to have her as part of my wedding vendor team - by the end of the day Sachiko felt like one of the family!

Sachiko is incredibly sweet, kind and truly cares about what you have in mind for your wedding. Sachiko is also extremely talented in what she does. I had two hair and make-up trials with Sachiko before the wedding as I couldn’t make up my mind and during both very long appointments she listened attentively to my ideas, complimented my ideas with her own and truly made me feel comfortable about the whole process (I am not used to being pampered!).

On the wedding day Sachiko was faced with 10 hours of grueling work but not once did she stop smiling. She was extremely polite and not phased by the task ahead of her. She had not met 3 of my wedding party as they were from out of town and she immediately built a rapport with them and made them feel very comfortable. She took their ideas for their hair and make-up and worked with the ideas to develop styles that were beautiful.

By the time Sachiko had finished with all of us we all looked absolutely stunning - her skills with all our different hair types and styles was exceptional - we all felt like a million dollars. My Mum, who doesn’t let anyone touch her hair or make-up, allowed Sachiko to do so and the results were fantastic. Everyone was so pleased.

During the day Sachiko was always at my side and became more part of the wedding party than just the hair and make-up artist. She was incredibly attentive to me and always ensured I looked my best. Sachiko took it upon herself to also ensure my dress was always properly arranged and looked after which illustrates just how much she cares.

I can’t recommend Sachiko enough, she is truly talented at what she does, her fees are extremely reasonable and she’s just such a lovely person that you feel so at ease and in safe hands.

OMG (times 1000!) I absolutely LOVED working with Sachiko. Her work was beyond perfect. Plus, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I am so not a hair & make-up kind of chick so I have to admit I was a bit terrified when I committed to doing a trial for my wedding. After having shared my fears with Sachiko, I was so relieved and joyous by the final outcome. The make-up was very natural and flawless and the hairstyle so exquisite. In all seriousness.... Sachiko is a big gulp of sunshine and is the type of person you always want to be around because she is genuinely has a wonderfully positive attitude ALL THE TIME.

She did my test drive of hairstyles and make-up... It was at her apartment which was perfectly comfortable and professional, and she banged out 5... yes, 5 hairstyles in an hour's time!! She did this effortlessly, and I could see that if all 5 hairstyles were so nice and neat during the trial, the day of the wedding will be PERFECT!

And so it was! The hair was perfect, and she did airbrush make-up on me which was also perfect, but felt great as well! It was very light feeling on my skin, she applied eyelashes that were naturally glamorous, and highlighted all my best features!

She did my mother's and maid of honor too and they look remarkable! My maid of honor had hair extensions, so that was a bit of a task but it never looked more beautiful!

Aside from all that, she was such amazing addition to the morning of the wedding and I couldn't have imagined the day without her! She personality is so bright and great to be around! Everyone enjoyed her company...

Sachiko is amazing! Show her a picture of any hair style and she can replicate it! My hair and makeup trial was awesome - she did 4 different hair styles and they were all so nice that it was difficult to choose just one. Sachiko is the sweetest!!! She is also so super talented! My day of wedding coordinator suggested her and I emailed her right away to see if she was available and thank goodness she was!!! When I met her during the trial, I gave her a ton of pictures for hair...and she did every hairstyle and even took a picture of me after each hairstyle. Even the makeup she did on me was super natural and fresh!

Sachiko recently did my hair+makeup for my wedding and she is amazing! The trial before the big day was great. My husband and I were actually late for an hour (NYC Friday afternoon traffic) and she still tried to meet us (even though she was missing her kid's graduation because of it! -Sorry, Sachiko!) When the wedding day came, she showed up early (big plus!)!!! She's really efficient, yet calm. She made all of us (including my mom and mother-in-law) look absolutely beautiful (love the fake eyelashes)!! She even did a quick touch up for my dad and my husband so that they look great in the pics! I am soooo lucky that I had her for my wedding day!! I work in the wedding industry and had seen Sachiko's work many times in person, so when it was time for me to get married there was no doubt that she would do my hair and makeup. My wedding was outdoors on a warm day so we chose to do airbrush makeup which was the absolute best decision! My makeup survived through sweat and tears all day and looked wonderful! I got married at the Metropolitan Building in April 2010. Not only did Sachiko do an amazing job on me and my bridal party, but she went above and beyond for me throughout the entire day. I hired her for the full day and she made sure my hair and makeup was always perfect. I even had a "hair change" before the reception and she was able to do it in not-so-ideal conditions (it had to be done quickly, it was dark, and people were all around me). She also used airbrushing on me (which I highly recommend) and my makeup did not budge. I partied until 5am, slept in my makeup, and woke up still looking radiant. She is amazing! Thanks Sachiko!

Sachiko is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was looking for a make-up artist that specialized in Asian hair and make-up. She is very prompt in returning messages / emails and professional from the start.

I went to see her for a make-up trial and she did a fantastic job! I was shocked at the results. The make-up and hair looked incredible! She is one of the nicest vendors I have spoken to. She genuinely cares about you and not just trying to make a quick buck like other vendors I've spoken to. I wish I could have had her as my make-up artist, but we decided to have a destination wedding.

Sachiko is such an angel! She did an amazing job on my makeup as well as the bridesmaids and moms and grandmothers. Everyone complimented on my make up and I have to say, i did look great! My husband could not stop complimented on how great I look that day. Sachiko managed to made me look like myself but with glam. The make up stayed all night and thanks to her suggestion to using airbrush. The makeup was flawless! I will definitely go to Sachiko for any special occasion makeup!

Sachiko was the best! She seemed to know exactly what to do to make everyone in the bridal party look amazing! (and my bridal party was a range of race, age, etc and she did an amazing job working with everyone's complexion, hair type etc) Honestly I went in with a very unclear idea of what I wanted to look like and she took the time to do several differerent trials on me and found soo many choices that looked great that the hardest part was picking one! She was always great responding to my emails, questions etc and was so sweet and professional on the day of. Honestly I couldn't recommend her highly enough!! Even at the last minute I had more people in my bridal party decided they wanted services (four days before) and she was luckily able to accomdate them. I thought she made me look better than i have EVER looked before. LOVE HER! My mom joked that she like her make up so much she almost didn't want to wash her face so she could keep it on the next day!

I love Sachiko. I would give her 10 stars if I could! From start to finish, Sachiko was professional, prompt in her responses, and ultimately she did a wonderful job. She has a sweet and calming personality, which was so comforting while getting ready on the big day.

At the trial, she inquired about my dress and accessories, my personal aesthetics in order to coordinate a cohesive style. She listened carefully to the look that I had in mind but yet had definite opinions and a strong sense of what would look good on photos. She used high quality cosmetics, such as Kiehls and NARS. She applied individual faux eyelashes and custom trimmed them. They felt light, comfortable, and totally gorgeous yet believable. We tried out four different hairstyles and discussed how we could easily modify the hairstyle to complement my dresses (I changed two times).

On my wedding day, I booked Sachiko for a 6 service package. Her prices were very reasonable for New York. She did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and my mom-in-law. All three of us looked and felt fabulous. I honestly have never felt more beautiful. I cried and laughed the whole day, but my makeup and hair miraculously stayed in place with just occasional touch-ups with lip gloss and bobby pins. I'm looking for excuses to book her again for hair and makeup.

Sachiko was an angel to work with! She did the hair for my entire bridal party (4 girls), and my mother and my hair and make-up in about 5 hours. We were on or ahead of schedule the entire day. She was able to recreate any style that the my bridesmaid wanted. Most of the girls, including myself have very straight hair, and find it difficult to find people who can style our hair and make it stay up the entire night. All of our hair styles stayed up from 10 in the morning until 3 or 4 the next morning. Before my trial, I was wary about using fake eyelashes, but the entire day, I hardly felt a thing, and my make-up stayed flawless until the very end of the night.

Sachiko had such a calming influence, and is so experienced at doing wedding make-up/hair she knew all about the must take pictures, as well as how to calm nervous parents, bridesmaids, and in-laws.

If you are looking for someone for hair and makeup for your wedding, hire Sachiko! She was simply amazing! I just got married in April, she did my hair and makeup, my mom’s and my friend’s. Her prices are very reasonable. What’s more is that she is extremely warm and kind. I first met her at my trial, and she makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. The trial was 3 hours and she lets you try as many different styles as you want. On my actual wedding day, when her part was finished and I was taking some pictures at my parents’ house, she stayed and helped with other things such as arranging my dress/train as I was posing. Sachiko is amazing!!! One of my fave wedding vendors :)

From the trial to the wedding day itself, Sachiko was nothing short of perfection. Personality wise, she is bubbly, talkative and meticulous. Professionally, she is a star. I booked Sachiko's 10 Services package for my wedding at the Metropolitan Building in LIC. She did my hair and makeup, the makeup for my 6 bridesmaids, and makeup and hair for my MIL and Mom. She did an amazing job with EVERYONE.

Sachiko also went above and beyond by accompanying my husband and I during our videography shoot outside. While it was the prefect 75 degree day, she was still there to fix a stray hair and touch up my powder. She even blotted my hubby's slightly sweaty forehead from being in a tux! I seriously wish I could have kept her forever!

Sachiko is a great person to have on your wedding day! She not only does fabulous hair, she is a great source of calm. She was a soothing presence to be around. Not to mention she came armed with a suitcase (no joke) of styling products. By the end of the wedding night, the dance floor was practically a mosh pit but my hair still did not move one bit. Sachiko also made the Moms look great, even though both had very short hair. For the MOB, she made her look as if she had an updo using strategic placement of bobby pins and for the MOG, she made her look very chic and high-fashioned.

This past winter I had Sachiko do my wedding hair and makeup, as well as my mom's and mother-in-law's hair and makeup. Since I am from out of town, Sachiko was very accommodating and scheduled my trial for when I was in town right before the wedding. The moment we met she was very welcoming and friendly. She was understanding about my style and didn't cake on makeup or make it too over the top. She really does an enhanced version of yourself! She came to our hotel to do the appointments the morning of the wedding and was a relaxing person there as we were getting ready. I love how my hair and makeup came out and would recommend her to everyone! Also she is very affordable for NYC!! The hair and makeup lasted the entire day.

Sachiko was amazing. Book her if you can. Her prices are really reasonable for wedding hair and makeup. She provides airbrush makeup, false lashes, has no issues with early starts, and on top of that she is a sweetheart who is very funny and cheerful! She did myself, my MOH, and mother and made us all look amazing. In the trial she showed me several looks moving from natural to smokey eyed. I had to get a 2nd artist to do the rest of my girls given the day wedding start time (5am was early enough, if she had to do 6 people i don't even want to know what time we would have needed to start!). I loved what she did and my makeup and hair stayed all day, and my MOH's hair was very long and also stayed all day. She came highly recommended to me, she also did a friend of mine who got married a couple weeks before. SHE IS THE BEST.

Sachiko is a truly talented makeup and hair artist. I went to her with no idea what I like. During the hair/makeup trial, she tried over 5 different hair styles so I know what looks best on me. I did a last minute reschedule on her and she was very understanding. On the day of the reception, she showed up early and went to work right away. I would definitely hire her for any of my beauty needs.

Sachiko is the most cheerful person you will meet, calming, which is exactly what you will need for the wedding!

I had seen her beautiful work through my friend's weddings as she turned brides and BMs into gorgeous models LOL, so when it was my turn I didn't hesitate to call her!

I had the makeup trial at her home in Astoria, which also doubled as I used the makeup for my Engagement photo shoot. At trial, she went through a few different hairstyles and airbrushed my makeup. Makeup lasted long and very natural yet beautiful.

On the day of wedding she was up extra early (6am) all ready to go! Hair + makeup were all high quality, long lasting, she really took lots of care to make sure the girls would know how to take off the veil and not mess up the Bride's hair. She even provided lipgloss for me to touchup after. Highly recommend!
