Ryan was very open and easy to work with

Ryan was very open and easy to work with. He even alerted us to a potential timing issue since he was livestreaming two weddings that day, but he was transparent about our options and the timing worked out perfectly in the end. I appreciated his professionalism in that situation because as a COVID bride there were already so many last-minute changes and challenges that I was glad to have the opportunity to mentally prepare in advance. Ryan and his assistant were well placed with three camera angles throughout our wedding with the ceremony outside and then a short break for them to move inside to the reception space. In person you hardly knew they were there, but for those watching from home it was the perfect way for our family and friends to feel included. (Photo from the livestream recording.)

Ryan and his team were so easy to communicate with and were happy to answer my many questions promptly! Our wedding livestream turned out beautifully and allowed so many of our friends and family to be able to see and hear our wedding clearly though COVID meant most of them could not be with us in person. We received so many positive comments about how wonderful the livestream was! Ryan did an amazing job of being unobtrusive during our ceremony while still capturing everything. We love to watch the recording of the livestream as well as the short documentary-style film Ryan and his team produced for us! I highly recommend contacting Ryan if you're looking for livestream services or videography for your wedding!

High Quality Video and Live-Streaming

Ryan did an amazing job recording and live-streaming our small, intimate outdoor wedding ceremony. When we decided to move forward with a ceremony with only our parents and siblings, we knew that live streaming the wedding for our friends and family that wouldn't be able to attend in person would be a big priority. Ryan offered us a full service package, which took care of everything from start to finish, so that we didn't have to worry about recording or streaming.

Ryan's company was responsive from the time we reached out for the initial estimate, leading up to the wedding, and even afterwards. In addition to the high-quality video on site, they set up and ran the livestream site, which allowed our virtual guests to leave real-time comments, as well as view the ceremony again for weeks after the wedding. We received so many texts, emails, and photos from our loved ones expressing how much they enjoyed the coverage of the ceremony. We can't recommend them enough!

Great Experience

Who would have imagined that you would have to deal with a global pandemic during your daughter’s wedding? When we realized that we would have to severely limit the number of guests to the wedding, Ryan Geldermann came to the rescue. He and his associates did a Livestream of the wedding ceremony and festivities that friends and family could watch as “virtual” guests. We had no idea how it would go, but it worked beautifully and everyone LOVED it! They were even able to add some PowerPoint musical presentations to the livestream that we had put together so that the “virtual” guests could see them as well. He was very patient and helpful as he guided a couple of “boomer parents” through the whole process We can’t thank him enough or recommend him highly enough!

Phenomenal Livestream Services for Wedding

Ryan and his team were absolutely PHENOMENAL, and his videography, cinematography and livestream services are amazing. In light of the pandemic we were limited with the number of guests at our wedding, and so Ryan live-streamed our event for our friends and family. Our "remote guests" were amazed at how they were able to see and hear everything. They all reported how they felt like they were really there - they didn't miss anything! There were 3 cameras, and live-editing, and while it certainly isn't the same as having people physically at your event, I know all of our friends and family were super impressed at the quality of the live-stream, and enjoyed the opportunity to attend our wedding while remaining safe and healthy at home (with champagne and popcorn). I highly recommend Ryan and his top notch live-stream services for any wedding or future life event! Also, our wedding was in Northern Virginia - so Ryan is not limited to just the Baltimore region.

Most incredible wedding live-stream services!

Ryan did an absolutely fantastic job live-streaming our wedding, and we strongly urge every couple looking for a wedding videographer to hire him! Ryan was responsive, courteous, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final product. Our wedding was outdoors in a relatively remote location and yet there were absolutely no streaming issues! We had more than 110 people watching the ceremony live from across the globe and it went off without a hitch! Ryan used three different HD video cameras and multiple microphones edited in real-time to create an incredible viewing experience. An unexpected surprise was that our guests emailed us screenshots from the ceremony, so we ended up having high-definition pictures within minutes of being married! Ryan even did a post-wedding edit so that the final product we get to keep forever was event more perfect. And on top of all of that, Ryan’s rates were extremely reasonable. Finally, as a professional, Ryan was a joy to communicate with. Every email that we sent him was answered basically within the hour, and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were thrilled with the final product. Hiring Ryan was one of the best decisions we made in our planning our wedding. Because of Ryan’s live-streaming services, it really felt like we had the big wedding we had originally planned. We are so grateful to him!

Not enough words to say thank you

Let me begin this post by explaining that I have been a professional wedding planner for 7+ years. Therefore I hold all of my vendors to a certain standard...

Ryan and his team surpassed this standard tenfold! From the booking process and through planning, Ryan was always responsive and helpful if I had a question or concern. On the day of, he and his team arrived early and began working right away. They made everyone feel comfortable and beautiful all day long! My favorite part about Ryan and his team was the fact that I would forget they were there. We were just so comfortable and happy and in our element.

Less than two weeks after the wedding, we had our extended highlight film and I have watched it no less than 10 times. It was so perfect- it truly surpassed every expectation I had when it came to our video.

If you are hesitant about hiring a videographer, DON'T BE! Having Ryan's video to show our families, children and grandchildren one day has been the greatest gift we ever got. Absolutely blew my mind how wonderful this whole experience was. Thank you so very much Ryan!

Ryan's work is unmatched

Using Ryan's services was by far one of the best wedding decisions we made. During wedding planning, we spent a lot of time looking at different cinematographers and Ryan's work was unmatched. We LOVE our video. When it ended we wanted to see more! We've gotten so many compliments from family and friends saying how beautiful it was. Ryan was also so easy to work with. Beautiful & thoughtful video

My husband's cousin had Ryan as a videographer for her wedding and we fell in love with his work. His same day edit at her wedding was so perfect that we almost opted for it. But we nixed it so we could do a highlight of the whole day and we don't regret our decision. Initially wanted a same day edit so that we could have a video clip quickly since typically video/photo takes a while, but Ryan did his thing. Just as I thought I was going to have to wait over a month for a short clip, he got it back to us in THREE DAYS. AND he had other weddings that weekend. But let me tell you, that four minute clip was so beautifully and thoughtfully made. It wasn't just the sequence of events, but it told a story. The song we picked has meaning and though it was a little fast as he had mentioned, he made it work and it turned out so awesome. Ryan was super professional throughout the process and PROMPT. I cannot tell you how many vendors stressed me due to their lack of communication. I'm so happy we found out about him through my husband's cousin. The final products were just perfect.

Ryan is amazing!

I'm honestly speechless about Ryan's work. I got my video back yesterday and had SO many people tell me it was the best they've ever seen - and I couldn't agree more. Ryan was EXTREMELY professional the day of the wedding; he captured every detail of our day and it truly never felt like he was even there, which is exactly what I wanted in a videographer. Someone who would capture our day in its fully natural state, without feeling like someone was standing there videotaping everything. I couldn't recommend him more - we will cherish this video for the rest of our lives and you sincerely won't be disappointed if you choose Ryan. He was worth every single penny.

Ryan did work for a friend's wedding and once I saw the Same Day Edit (SDE) on her social media and I knew I had to have Ryan for my wedding. After I booked my venue (two years in advance), I literally booked Ryan the next day because I didn't want to miss out on having him.

Ryan and his wife Kate are lovely, they were professional and guided us into the shots they needed/wanted. As for the candid shots, as many people have mentioned in their reviews here, Ryan and Kate are so discreet with their filming... I didn't realize I was being filmed half of the time until I saw my own SDE. When my husband and I were viewing the SDE with our guests, everyone was beyond impressed that this video was pulled together within hours. It is a truly unique service that Ryan provides to his clients, how often do guests get to see the prep and anticipation of the morning? first look of the wedding couple? candid moments of the wedding party and family? We had friends who were on the fence about getting a videographer for their upcoming wedding and after seeing our SDE, they immediately took Ryan's contact information.

I appreciate all of the hard work from Ryan, Kate and their assistant put into making such a beautiful video :)

Ryan Geldermann is awesome! We watched a lot of wedding videos in trying to find a videographer and they all started to blur together. Then we stumbled upon Ryan, and there was just this special quality to them that really impressed us. I don't know what it is exactly, but he is obviously super talented and knows how to make breathtaking videos. We instantly knew we wanted him to make our video and I'm so glad we did -- we loved our video and got so many compliments! On top of that, Ryan is very easygoing and cool to work with the day of the wedding. He got great shots and knew exactly what to do. Make sure you book him early because he seems (and is deservedly) very popular!

I used Ryan Geldermann as my wedding videographer for my October 21, 2017 wedding. From the moment I watched his videos, I knew that I had found the right guy. You are blown away by how beautiful and touching his videos are. Ryan is easy to communicate with and responds very timely whenever you have any questions. We opted for “The Short,” however after seeing the quality of my own wedding highlight video, I would have gone with “The Epic” if I had to do it all over again. Ryan and his team arrived promptly and began working with little fuss. They gave easy instructions and were very relaxed at directing you so it didn’t feel awkward or weird. Working with him and his team was very stress-free, and you hardly (if at all) noticed their presence during the wedding. They threaded in and out of the crowd and tables with little fuss. My wedding highlight video was done 3 days after my wedding! It was sentimental and lovely, incorporating all our biggest moments and all the most important people to us. I LOVED IT!! Other videographers have a goal of just recording the event in a nice but not particularly epic way (as someone who watched hundreds of other videographers before choosing Ryan). With Ryan, you definitely feel like the star of your own movie and that he puts the effort in to make watching your wedding day as exciting as watching a feature film. I can’t wait to watch the entire ceremony and reception. I know he’ll make it easy and fun to watch. You cannot go wrong with choosing Ryan Geldermann for your wedding!!!

One of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Ryan as our videographer. If you’re unsure if you want a videographer, or you’re simply looking for the best one, stop your search immediately, do not pass go, and book Ryan right now!

Both Ryan and his wife Kate were so wonderful and truly captured our wedding day perfectly. It honestly felt like hanging out with old friends throughout the day, and they were both so friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Together they captured so many beautiful shots without us even realizing they were there, and you can tell that they have a wealth of experience and their wedding-day strategy down to a perfect science.

Ryan sent over the highlight video within 48 hours of our wedding (this on its own is down-right incredible!), and we actually ended up watching it for the first time at the airport on the way to our honeymoon! As someone who previously spent a ton of time watching Ryan’s other highlight videos, nothing will compare to how you feel when you see yourself, your now-spouse, your family, and your wedding day captured so gorgeously in Ryan’s style. We were so excited and happy with the way it turned out, and our family loved it as well!

We cannot recommend Ryan enough, and are so thankful to have our wedding memories to look back on forever!

Simply the best!!! Worth every penny!!! Hire him while you can because he is going to be known as the best/famous. Prior to hiring Ryan, I had done a lot of research looking for a cinematographer for my wedding. A good wedding video was very important to me and because my husband is a videographer, I knew we could not have anything less than the best! Nothing had impressed me until I stumbled across one of Ryan's video when searching for a song on YouTube. I remember watching that video (crying because of how sweet and beautiful it was) and thinking that it was the official music video to the song I had searched for. It didn't hit me until later while watching that this was actually a wedding video! That was the moment I knew I needed to have Ryan as our wedding videographer. I ended up flying him out to Saint Augustine FL where my husband and I got married. From the planning phase through to the wedding day, Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was professional, patient, kind, responsive and easy going. He is talented and passionate about what he does. I can honestly say out of all my vendors, Ryan was my favorite to work with and his work impressed me the most. If you have a moment to stop and watch him as he works on the day of your wedding, you will see how passionate he is about what he does and you will especially see the results of that passion in your wedding video. I have watched my same day edit video and my extended highlights at least once almost every day and I still cry (happy tears) remembering how it was the best day of my life ?? I love that Ryan was able to capture the BEST moments of that day and put it together in a story about the love between me and my now husband. Our own family and friends at our wedding were so amazed by our same day edit video. Besides getting to marry my best friend that day, the same day edit video was my favorite part of that day! First let me just say that Ryan & Kate were busy over the Thanksgiving holiday - and they took time out of their vacation to come and video my wedding (I had really wanted them for the wedding). This was beyond generous.

Next - the actual event videoing and work product was worth every single penny. Ryan and Kate were amazing to work with and made the entire wedding process fun and easy. I have a big family and with that comes a lot of chaos during wedding time. Ryan and Kate were both accommodating, professional and friendly.

And as for the highlight video - I cannot stop watching it!! It was so perfect and more than what I was expecting. They're extremely talented and artistic.

So my advice - if the wedding video is something that is important to you - consider Ryan Geldermann Cinematography.

We absolutely LOVED working with Ryan on our October 2016 wedding. My husband and I agree that hiring Ryan was probably the best spent money of our wedding. He and his wife are so unbelievably talented, professional, and kind people. Ryan's responsiveness leading up to the wedding was amazing, and his turnaround time on all the final products was impressive.

We purchased the package that included the Same Day Edit video, which Ryan puts together and plays during the wedding reception. Watching our Same Day Edit (SDE) was hands down our favorite part of our wedding day. It gave us a moment to relive every little moment, see bits and pieces of things my husband and I weren't able to witness in person, and just take it all in. I think it meant more to both of us than we could have anticipated going into it. We've watched our wedding videos practically every day since the wedding. Our guests LOVED the SDE...it definitely brought a wow factor into our wedding event.

On our actual wedding day, Ryan was successfully able to make the somewhat awkward experience of having a camera in front us much more comfortable. He has such an amazing talent for capturing moments that generate emotion and tell a story on film. He and his wife were able to capture so many details and beautiful moments of our day, and they did so quickly and unobstructively. We often didn't even know they were there throughout our wedding events.

We've received a FLOOD of compliments from both guests at our wedding and people who were not in attendance but saw the videos later. A number of people have commented it was the best wedding video they'd ever seen (one quote: "give that guy an Oscar"), and we received a number of requests for his information.

Definitely hire Ryan if you're looking for a videographer to give you a video you will cherish for a lifetime. If it's in the budget, we would encourage you do the SDE....it seriously is the best money we've ever spent. You won't regret it.

Ryan is AMAZING at what he does. I could not have been more pleased with the quality of his work and his professionalism. I have many friends who didn't have videographers to save on their budget and after seeing his work and working with him myself he is worth every penny. While photos are great, this video allows us to relive that memorable day over and over and over again. For our family members who couldn't make it I was able to send them our edited clip via text message and share it on all my social media. I had my edited video with in a week of my wedding and my full cut + blue rays within 3! My family is still in aw of Ryan's work!! He is the absolute best and you MUST book him!

If I could give more that five stars here I would! Ryan and his wife are beyond incredible! The work they do, for lack of a better word, amazing. The same day edit video blew people out of the water, and for us to be able to have a recap of the whole day and being able to share that with everything was the cherry on top. The entire day they were filming and editing all at the same time. I can't wait for my other friends to get married so I can watch their video. Mind blowing. If you want one of the most amazing and unique wedding experiences during your reception get the 'Same Day Edit'! His style is cinematic and dynamic and does an incredible job at conveying the "story" of the wedding day. Not only does Ryan do a seemingly impossible feat with the Same Day Edit, but he's also one of the most responsive vendors you can encounter. He's humble, fun to hang out with the day of the wedding (so important!), and is a calming force in the frenzy that is the wedding day.

Our guests were just as blown away as we were - we've been getting compliments about the video non-stop, and we're still in awe at the quality of Ryan's work. This has given us a memory that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Ryan provides something truly special and is worth every penny!

Ryan was a pleasure to work with. I first saw his work about 2-3 years ago on an acquaintance's facebook page and knew that I had to get him when I had my wedding. I compared him to a lot of videographers in the area but none even compared to his quality and style of work. I am so glad that we booked him - my husband and I could not be happier with our highlight video! We have received SO many compliments on it, and even people who didn't attend our wedding or know us very well said they teared up while watching it - that speaks volumes on his talent of capturing all the little moments throughout the day and the emotions that are portrayed in the video. It just makes me want to re-live that day over and over. He responds immediately to emails, and was very professional throughout the whole process. One more thing that's important to note -- on the day of the wedding, Ryan and his wife (the second cinematographer for the day) were so inconspicuous and never in the way. I am so impressed how they were able to capture so many little moments without ever being noticeable on the day. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan to anyone looking into cinematography for their wedding day!!!!

Ryan and Kate did a fantastic job at our

Ryan was excellent to work with. He was courteous and professional during our interactions with him. We connected with him over Skype for our first meeting, and we were grateful for his flexibility in communicating there.

On the day of, he and his team captured the most important moments and provided his an extraordinary short video the Thursday following the wedding. The mix of artistry, lighting, and music made for truly wonderful videos. We cannot wait to see the final DVDs of our full wedding.

Ryan and his wife shot our wedding at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium. It was absolutely incredible how discrete they were through the entire day. I truly forgot there were any cameras there and was able to relax and be myself on film. We felt so at ease and comfortable, even during more intimate moments like our first look.

We opted for the The Epic package. We received the 7 minute long extended highlight trailer while on our honeymoon just a few days after the wedding. Ryan can also do same day edits that can be shown towards the end of the reception. We chose not to go that route, but loved receiving our wedding video so soon after the big day. The highlights trailer was perfect, beautifully shot, and edited, and captured the love and happiness we felt that day. Many of our family and friends said it was the most well-done wedding video they had seen. With this package we also received three edited blurays of the ceremony and reception which family (especially grandparents) have loved to watch . Ryan then also provides you with a hard drive with all the raw footage. It's really fun to go through it all and watch family and friends.

Overall, we were beyond impressed with Ryan and his wife's demeanor, the amazing theatrical trailer, and the edited footage and raw footage as well.

Where do I even start? I had searched wedding videographers for months leading up to my wedding. Having a wedding videographer was very important to me, and when I finally came across Ryan's work, I knew I had to have him. He was very responsive and flexible while I tried figuring out all the details of the day. When the day came, he introduced himself, and from there I didn't even know he was there. He was so professional, there to do his work and capture every moment. The next morning I went to a post wedding brunch and it was there that I opened a text message from my wedding planner to say my video was up! I mean, I knew he was fast, but not that fast!!! I do not have enough kind words to express how talented and amazing Ryan's work is and I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

I can't find the words to express how glad I am we hired Ryan (and his wife) for our wedding videography. Ryan was responsive in the weeks leading up to the wedding, accommodating with traveling to several different locations for video, and extremely professional. One of my biggest concerns leading up to the wedding was that the 'video guy' would be very noticeable and distracting/overwhelming throughout the day. I can honestly say I don't remember Ryan, Kate, or the cameras being around - I've asked wedding guests and the wedding party too and they don't remember seeing them or the cameras. When they describe themselves as ninjas, they're accurate. Ending our reception with the Same Day Edit of our wedding video was an amazing way to end an amazing day. I can't say enough great things about Ryan and his services!

Ryan and his team were completely amazing! I am so lucky I found such a professional and seamless videographer. We barely noticed them filming during our wedding, and yet the same day edit video they produced was absolutely jaw-dropping. Ryan himself was relaxed, personable, funny and professional. So this is long overdue since our wedding was in March but I've seen a ton of friends' wedding videos and it makes me think about how thrilled we are with ours. We used Ryan and his wife for ours and couldn't be happier with the results and the experience beginning to end. Of all the wedding vendors we used, we were most pleased with Ryan and can't recommend him enough. My now-husband was very concerned from the start of the planning process about getting a videographer. He was worried it would feel intrusive having strangers follow us around with cameras during really personal moments. He will be the first to tell you we barely noticed Ryan and his wife the whole time. Also anyone who has gotten married will tell you about the wedding adrenaline then subsequent exhaustion. Our wedding was on a Saturday night and come Sunday early evening the day after, before the exhaustion even kicked in, Ryan emailed us a link to our video. We were amazed with the quick turnaround and still flying high. The result was phenomenal. It was touching, sentimental, and captured the moment and emotions beautifully. We were worried it would feel canned and forced but it doesn't at all. We couldn't recommend Ryan Geldermann enough!

The best decision we made BY FAR for our wedding was to hire Ryan Geldermann as our videographer. The same day edit video he created is what we will treasure the most from our wedding. I am absolutely amazed by his talent, professionalism, and quality of work. He and his wife (his assistant) got to the hotel at the exact time they were supposed to and began filming immediately. I hardly ever realized he was there and the times that we did interact (to get some of the specific footage for the Same Day Edit), he was very laid-back and put me and my husband both at ease. My husband HATES taking pictures, but had nothing but great things to say about Ryan's personality and way of interacting with us during the wedding. As far as quality of the work, everyone that I've spoken with has been in complete awe that he created the video he did, and in the time frame that he did. The video captures the BEST moments from the wedding, puts it to incredible music, and times it all perfectly. We have already watched the video hundreds of times and think its worth every penny. It is truly a piece of art. I can't say enough great things about Ryan, and feel so lucky to have had him for our wedding!!

My husband knew he was going to book Ryan before we were even engaged. He sat up watching Ryan's videos on Vimeo one night and knew he would be our cinematographer...I am still in awe every time I watch our video... well, I call it a mini movie. Our guests were AMAZED by the quality of the same day edit video. The video was literally all over social media hours after I posted it to my page. Our friends could not believe that this video was done in such a short amount of time. We've even had people stop us to tell us that they saw our video on Facebook and cried watching two strangers love story. Ryan captured all of our wedding moments perfectly.... every time I watch the video I feel Like I'm experiencing the wedding day all over again.

Ryan and his wife were on time, friendly, and made sure that we would be satisfied with our footage. Their work is simply genius. Not only do I recommend this company I will tell you, if you don't book them you will regret it. They are awesome.

Ryan is legit! You get what you pay for when it comes to wedding videography, and he was worth every penny. We've already watched our same-day-edit a million times because it's so amazing. We emailed back and forth a handful of times prior to the wedding to figure out details, and Ryan always emailed back within minutes of me hitting "send" - something that was very rare with other vendors when we were trying to decide who to use. Ryan and his wife are super nice people too. They are easy to work with on wedding day. I would recommend them to anyone. Just watch his videos; they speak for themselves!

Ryan did an amazing job on our wedding video. He is so talented and all of our family and friends keep raving about our beautiful highlight video. Video was something that I knew was going to be very important to me but only if it was worth it. I did not want the typical wedding video where it is just a recording. I wanted something artistic and that is what we got. Ryan and his wife are Ninjas. You have no idea they are there capturing the little moments and those are what matter. Ryan worked his butt off all night and before the evening was over, our video was complete. I am at a loss for words when it comes to how I feel about our video. Not sure I can fully put into words just how amazing Ryan and his wife were. Ryan was extremely easy to work with, very laid back, and made the most unreal video to capture our wedding day. He was always very responsive, gave opinions and advice which I appreciated. Ultimately, his work speaks for itself - all of his videos are amazing. I never really wanted a videographer for my wedding but my fiance (at the time) did so I agreed to do some research. I viewed a countless number of websites and videos but nothing stood out to me. I began to get discouraged until I found Ryan Geldermann on Wedding Wire. After watching a few of his highlight videos, I was in tears and immediately knew I had to have him do our wedding.

Ryan responded to my emails VERY quickly. He was very thorough with what he needed from us (not a lot) and him and his wife were SO professional during our entire wedding. I actually forgot they were there until our MC announced that there was a surprise. My parents surprised us with the Same Day Edit video at our wedding. I cannot believe he was able to put together such a beautiful video in such a short period of time. It literally took our breath away... and everyone else who was watching too! When I first found Ryan I actually stumbled onto him on Wedding Wire. I noticed that he recently moved to the east coast and was super excited that finally there was some high quality videographer on the east coast. No matter the cost I wanted him! I originally requested him for memorial weekend but he was already booked so I actually changed my wedding date. He's just THAT good!

My wedding was an American ceremony with a Cambodian reception. If you've never attended a Cambodian wedding, it's pretty hectic. I had uncles who were trying to be the photographers and getting in the way of Ryan. I had to stop in the middle of my first dance to wave to my uncle to move so Ryan had his room. No matter how crazy it was Ryan was very professional and just did what he had to do. Throughout the day BRIDEZILLA definitely came out, however Ryan was still able to capture some really special moments. We did the same day edit and my guest were amazed at the quality of the video that Ryan made. Many of them asked me for his information and I gladly gave it to them. NO one had ever seen a video like this and they were truly impressed!!!!

I really wished I had another big event so I could use him again! Maybe in the future I could use him for a baby reveal??? That would be awesome!

My wife and I got engaged back in July 2013. The first vendor I wanted to look up was a videographer/cinematographer. Being that I was familiar with some of the work from videographers in our area, I wanted to search for the best one out of all of them. I happened to stumble upon Ryan Geldermann's reviews on Yelp as well as his website.

I watched one of the main 'Same Day Edit' videos on Ryan's website, and I immediately knew I wanted to book him. I showed the same video to my then fiancée, and she was very adament on hiring him as well. At the time, Ryan was still residing in California, however a header at the top of his page said he was moving to the DC/MD/VA area in early 2014. You wouldn't believe how excited we were to find out he was moving back to the area. He was the first vendor we booked back in 2013.

Fast forward to our wedding day, we did the Same Day Edit and he produced a highlight video that showed all the important events of our wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Ryan was very responsive with his emails/texts. The first time we met him and his wife was the day of our wedding. If your work is able to convince us to hire you and give you thousands of dollars without even meeting you in person, that is impressive. Him and his wife, Kate, were a pleasure to work with. We didn't even know they were there, they really are "ninjas." We received many compliments about our wedding video and it even brought tears around the room. Ryan is the best videographer/cinematographer there is. Book him, you won't regret it! He was worth every penny, plus more!

I had been searching high and low for a wedding videographer for a very long time. We had planned our wedding 2 years in advance so I had plenty of time. In fact a wedding videographer was one of the first things I looked when planning my wedding. I looked through tons and tons of videos. When I found Ryan at the time he was moving to Maryland I was totally bummed. I lived in California. So my heart lost hope and I continued my search looking for someone that does amazing work as he does. As I searched no one's work compared to Ryan, so I made the decision to hire Ryan and fly him to California to Maryland because he is just that awesome. Ryan knows how to capture the most important moments of your wedding day. He also knows how to hit points to the music you choose, kinda like the movies you know. There are a lot of people that can shoot and just put music in the background but Ryan understands how to put those 2 together. The day of my wedding he showed up with his team and was very professional. They immediately started shooting they didn't get in the way of anyone and I didn't even notice they were around me and my husband. When it came time to view the video all my guests were in tears and amazed at what Ryan created. We also purchased the Extended Video Highlights which let me tell you if you have any doubts please do it! It's the best decision my husband and I made. Every time we see both videos especially the Extended Highlights video it brings us so much joy and brings me back to my special day. Ryan made us look like superstars that day. Words cannot describe how excited I was when I booked Ryan for our April wedding! I had been watching Ryan’s amazing work for over a year and when I saw that he had moved to the east coast I knew that there was no other option for our wedding (I had searched PA and NJ for a comparable videographer – doesn’t exist!).

During our correspondence, Ryan was prompt, professional, flexible and most importantly EXTREMELY FRIENDLY. On the day of, Ryan and Kate showed up and transformed my chaotic suite into their little studio. Ryan followed us around capturing every moment in the background and kept constant communication with my photographer which allowed us to relax and know that everything was being coordinated and taken care of.

The REAL reason why I fell in love with the Geldermann dream team is because of the EXTENDED HIGHLIGHT VIDEO OF MY DREAMS. When he says that he makes you look like a rockstar, he isn’t lying. He turned our emotional, chaotic, energetic, beautiful day into a one of a kind work of art that we (and all of our family and friends) will treasure forever. When watching the video, you really feel that you are reliving the day which is SO important because it flies by. Not to mention, he sent the video in 3 days of the wedding which is the perfect time to sit down and watch/relive your wedding 50+ times !

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the dynamic duo that created wedding magic on your special day! I honestly cannot find a reason why a couple would choose any other videographer than Ryan. Do not even hesitate when selecting your videographer – he is 1000% worth it!!

Ryan and his wife are incredible. We got a same day edit with our package and at first everyone was wondering why dancing was stopped and a projector was being set up, but less than 30 seconds into the video, I heard murmurs of how beautiful it was and how it was the best wedding video they'd ever seen! And it was only the highlight video!!!! I must have watched it 50 times already. Ryan is also super easy to work with and makes being filmed very comfortable. Even my husband, who hates pictures, etc... said it was so worth it.

This is the groom. I hacked in just so I could leave my own review. The one vendor I chose. I booked him over a year in advance. So lucky I got Ryan and Kate!!

Before, videography wasn't a huge deal for me, and I actually thought I could do without it on our wedding day. My fiance/now husband on the other hand wanted THE BEST videographer (and that's exactly who he hired!). He had no real preference for anything else in the wedding, but when it came to the videographer, this was the one thing he was extremely particular about, and I am so grateful that he was!!

My fiance/husband booked Ryan, and it was one of the best investments we've made! Using the word "investment" seems odd to describe anything related to a wedding, but that is really how I view Ryan and Kate's work! We now have two amazing videos to remember our wedding day. They did such an amazing job at capturing who we are and our love story as a couple.

They are so talented, easy to work with, and I'd recommend them to everyone!

I hired Ryan to be my cinematographer after I saw a 'Same Day Edit' he put together for a friend of mine. I understand that weddings are all about love and mushy stuff, but in looking for a cinematographer I was having a hard time finding someone who could really capture the moment in a beautiful way without making it looked forced or cheesy. When I saw my friends video, I knew this was the person I wanted capturing my big day, so much so that I flew him to my location.

Ryan is amazing. The video he made for us has been described as "looking like an amazing movie trailer" or a touching commercial. It was so much better than I ever expected. The 'Same Day Edit' was such a hit that people immediately asked me for his contact information after the wedding, seriously, when does that ever happen? Stop looking for anyone else, you will not regret hiring him, probably the best vendor I hired.

The hilights video is my favorite thing! If you think photos are enough-think again! Ryans work spoke for itsself, and after looking at examples of other videographers, his work made me hate everyone else. I have no idea how Ryan got all of these amazing shots with all of the crazyness and over direction from other vendors. Ryan wrote back to every email I sent, always answered my questions and was so easy to work with and accommodating! The Best decision I made for the wedding was Ryan Geldermann! If you select Ryan you will see your wedding day the way you always invisioned it... No matter how stressful and frantic the big day truly was.

Ryan absolutely made our wedding. I was originally on the fence about having a videographer, it was initially on my "nice to have list". After spending about 3 minutes and 30 seconds on Ryan's website, enough time to watch one video, I emailed him and booked him for my wedding. He was the one vendor I was most excited about having at my wedding. I booked 'The Feature' package, which included the same day edit (you have to do this!)
Fast forward to my wedding day, Ryan showed up right at noon, as we had discussed and his second shooter similarly arrived at my fiance's house. He got to work right away but sort of faded into the background of the day. I honestly didn't notice he was there most of the day which made for extremely natural footage in the end. I very much appreciated his approach, very unobtrusive and subtle. The only time we noticed him was when he asked for 10 minutes for some of his "artistic stuff" for our SDE. Speaking of the same day edit, this was absolutely my (and all of my guests') favorite part of the entire wedding. It was perfectly edited to the music and mind-blowingly beautiful. It was so fun to watch my guests react to it as they initially thought a slideshow of some sort was about to play and then the realization on their faces as they began seeing themselves from just a few hours earlier. He literally only edited for an hour tops while we were all eating. Insane. By the end of the video the entire reception was chanting "Ryan! Ryan! Ryan!" Our guests are still talking about it! My mother is still watching the video everyday at least 4 times. All of my girlfriends told me how annoyed they were that now they had to have a same day edit for their weddings too (sorry not sorry). The best part was that it was available to share by 1030 the next morning so we got to relive the magic all over again!
I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Ryan. It was the best money I spent on my wedding, hands down.

If I could give Ryan a 100 star rating, I would. Do yourself a favor and hire Ryan. If you don't believe me, watch a few of his videos. Then hire Ryan.

Although Ryan moved to the DMV only recently, he is, by far, the best videographer in the area. We've received countless comments that the wedding highlight video Ryan created for us is the best wedding video they've ever seen. We've been told that the video has moved people (including friends of friends, who don't even know us) to tears. His videos tell a story, and the footage is timed perfectly and artistically with the music (that either you select or you ask him to select). Somehow he captures all these moments while remaining completely unnoticed. I barely saw him the entire day, but he was certainly there, capturing amazing shots!

To top it off, Ryan's turn around is unbelievable. Ryan offers a same day edit service, where you can play the wedding highlight video at the reception (crazy, I know). While we didn't opt for the same day edit, we wanted to show our highlight video at brunch the next morning. Ryan worked with us to make sure that was possible, including working with the brunch venue to ensure that the video arrived in a format the systems required. Everyone (including the venue's tech team) was amazed by the video!

Seriously, hire Ryan.

OH MY GOSH book Ryan right now…one of the BEST decisions we made!!! I have watched literally every one of his videos and we couldn't WAIT for it to be our turn. He literally made a room full of 180+ people cry, cheer, and laugh all in the short space of 2 or so minutes with his Same Day Edit. Our guests were RAVING and it will definitely be one of our most cherished wedding memories. He is super easy to work with and his work is absolutely brilliant- so, so beautiful!! I can't recommend him enough!!!

when my husband and I were choosing which cinematographer to have for our wedding, once we saw one of their videos, we stopped looking. I was just so wonderfully made. It's worth the money spent, to think they were not even the most expensive one that we saw. 2 days after the weeding we got our highlight video. How cool is that? We didn't think we were going to see our video that quick. WE so loved it!!! And each and everyone who saw our video loved it as well. Will definitely recommend them. Ryan and Alex are the BEST!!!

Without a doubt, Ryan is one the best cinematographers in this entire area. We were really selective with our search for a wedding videographer, we saw the selection in the DMV area and were really underwhelmed with the offerings. We went to countless local bridal conventions hoping one would stand out to no avail. We wanted someone to capture the story and feeling of the entire wedding and it seemed like no one offered that type of service.
Fortunately, we were lucky to stumble upon one of his videos and it was what we had been searching for. Upon further research, we found out that he had moved into this area not too long ago and had a same-day edit service! We immediately booked him. On the wedding day, he and his wife showed up and were professional and courteous. They got the shots they needed and afterwards throughout the day they were behind the scenes and not at all disruptive. At our reception when they showed the same-day edit clip (we did not tell our friends and family about this), the clip showed a great recap up to that point of everything that happened in the morning to about 15 minutes before the presentation. Everyone was AMAZED that he could edit a video of excellent quality in such a short amount of time. He caught the energy of the whole day and we couldn't be more grateful. Overall, I'd recommend Ryan to anyone who needs a videographer, he is amazing and levels above anything else you see in the DC area.

What can I say about Ryan Geldermann and his work? That having Ryan and Kate (his wife/partner) capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions? Definitely a YES! He is a true cinematographer and you can tell he is passionate about his work and only wants the best for his clients. What he did for us (and for every couple he has worked with) is pure art. How did I know he was "the one"? Because Ryan made me fall in love with the couples he was filming (and because I had tears while watching some of the videos) - I even told Ryan this when I initially contacted him. We booked him immediately even though he was still based in California and was moving back to the East Coast in early 2014. We booked him at least 14 months ahead of our wedding date and I'm glad we did because I didn't want to miss out on working with him. I didn't even look/interview another videographer. From the very beginning, Ryan was easy to work with, we video chatted with him in one of our initial conversations which was great because we were able to get a feel of him and his personality and vice versa. From there we communicated in emails and he was always responsive. He worked well with my photographers and my month of wedding coordinator. I can say having Ryan and Kate part of my wedding definitely made my dream wedding vendor team. On the day of the wedding, Ryan was just doing his "thing" and all we could do was trust him (I mean his work speaks for itself). We were pleasantly surprised when Sunday morning rolled around and I checked my email and ta-da our wedding highlight video was completed and up. Totally made my day and I was able to share it with family/guests at our after wedding Sunday Brunch/Picnic. EVERYONE was impressed with his work. I already know of two future brides that have contacted him (or want to contact him) since our wedding highlight video that are interested in his services. All of Ryan's future brides and grooms will be lucky to work with him!!!

We were searching for an out of this world wedding videographer and found that and then some with Ryan! He was prompt, professional, discreet, and super nice. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has gushed over the wedding video that he did for us. Even my wedding photographer who is an award winning photojournalist that works with celebrities and politicians came up to me during the reception to ask me for Ryan's information because he was so impressed with what he was seeing.

If you want a beautifully shot, amazingly edited wedding video that will make you look like a movie star, book Ryan Geldermann immediately! I researched many wedding videographers and Ryan was the ONLY one that shot in the style that I was looking for. I booked him without ever having met or spoken to him because his work speaks for itself. I highly recommend Ryan!

Ryan truly is a video ninja. He's a young, chill dude who's extremely good at what he does, and fast and efficient and thorough.

Right from the start, Ryan was very approachable and responsive via email. We arranged a google hangout so that we could see him "face to face" before signing our contract, and that went off very smoothly. From then on he was always available to advise with timeline or answer any questions we had.

The day of the wedding, Ryan showed up right on time and got straight to work with his wife as his second cameraman, capturing detail shots of the venue as well as us both getting ready. He then followed us around for the rest of the day, his camera lens following our every move.

Ryan has a couple of "Ryan Geldermann Signature Shots" like the spin-around-and-kiss, and he's done them so many times, he's got them down to an art - they really look great in the video. He was so natural at what he was doing that he was completely non-invasive and it was easy to forget that he was there, except for his friendly and funny occasional banter. During our picture taking, eating, and any other time that didn't require his camera's attention, he sat quietly in a corner of the hall with his MacBook and worked away on video editing.

I was a little indecisive about whether I wanted to get the Same Day Edit or not, but I'm so glad I did. Our guests (and even DJ!) thought it was simply the coolest thing they had seen at a wedding, EVER. It was incredibly well-done and it floored everyone how FAST Ryan was able to put together such a high-quality piece of art. Here it is, for reference:

He was also so fast at his video editing that he got us ALL of his footage 5 days after the wedding!

In the end, one of the biggest things I learned about wedding planning was to not skip on video, or on Ryan... if you do, you will regret it. He's simply the best at what he does, and I unreservedly highly recommend him.

I am SO happy that we decided to have Ryan and his wife, Kate as our amazing videographers. You both are absolutely incredible and so talented. To any bride who wants to remember every detail of your wedding day...BOOK RYAN! He made an amazing Same Day Edit highlight video which was shot, edited, and shown at the reception of our wedding. Ryan Geldermann Cinematography is by far the best videographer we have ever seen. Ryan was one of my favorite vendors we used not only because he is incredibly talented but he was so responsive. I remembered when we first hired him, he gave us his cell phone number and said "call or text at anytime of day/night". I am very type-A so this was impressive and he was so responsive to all of our emails. Now the thing that sets him apart from every other videographer out there is that he does a Same Day Edit and then plays it on his screen during the reception. Our guests were so shocked and there was not a dry eye in the room. What he has given us is something so special and that we will cherish forever. At first, we were not going to hire a videographer but my step mom insisted that it was something we would regret if we did not. Needless to say, we are so happy she encouraged us to do so and we are so glad we found Ryan!

WOW!!! That's all I can say is WOW!!! Ryan and his team know how to make your day seem like it is right out of a movie. From the moment they started filming to the moment they finished it was so smooth. Nothing can prepare you for the reaction and the feeling you get from the same day edit. After watching wedding videos from other videographers, I forget them immediately. After watching Ryan's videos, I say, "Damn...that was really good." After watching Ryan's video of our wedding, I watch it again. And again. Other people - people I barely even know - watch our video and cry halfway through.

Ryan specializes in what equates to a music video - a highlight real set to music of your choosing and the quality looks like he's been on a red carpet a time or two. We also got the raw footage and an hour-long DVD/Blue-Ray which breaks down the whole day into all the important segments - ceremony, entrances, first dances, etc. Strong and professional work.

And the turn-around time. Are you kidding me? Champagne was still swimming in my head the day after the wedding when we got the notification our video was up. Also, his communication, flexibility and personality made him awesome to work with - and that stuff matters just as much as the amazing final product. We paid for his travel to Pittsburgh and would have paid for him to travel to Antarctica if we had gotten married there.

Seriously, contact him now before he quits the wedding business and starts shooting blockbuster movies.

Hiring Ryan was easily one of the best decisions my husband and I made during our wedding planning process. We were completely on the fence as to whether we should even get a videographer until we came across one of his same day edits online. The second we saw it, we knew we wanted him to be a part of our wedding. We showed our friends and family a clip he sent us the night of our wedding and there was not a dry eye in the house. He did such a good job of creating a story on film and in such a beautiful way... it's like watching our own love story in 3 minutes :) We could not be happier with what an amazing job he did! My husband and I were married at the St. Regis in Washington DC on May 31, 2014. The WOW factor is the one term that summarizes his work! Ryan Geldermann is not your ordinary wedding videographer. His creates unique films that each tells a story specialized to your wedding day. After weeks of searching and meeting with other cinematographers in the area, I was starting to lose faith until I found him through a general google search. After browsing through his website and watching his sample videos I knew his designs were exactly what I’ve been trying to look for, and I knew I had to have him for our wedding. His professionalism, creativeness, responsiveness, and quality of service is what makes him the absolute best in the DMV area. My husband and I were in complete shock to find our initial highlight video being completed and sent within a few hours after the wedding. Upon viewing it for the first time, we were literally blown away thrilled with the quality of the video in every aspect, from the editing, to the color quality, to his vision and camera skills. I was so excited to find Ryan following his move back East. His productions are unparalleled by anyone in the DC area and was easily the best investment I made for my wedding. I struggled initially to determine if it was worth the extra cost to hire a videographer. However, after watching his videos I knew that I would certainly regret not hiring Ryan. The same day edit at the reception was a hit - so many people came to us afterward to tell us they'd never seen anything like it. I've probably watched our video 50 times since our big day, and it makes me beam every time! Don't delay in reaching out - his availability matches his popularity, don't run the risk that he is booked by waiting too long!

Talk about worth the investment. A++, top notch work. Ryan's work is simply amazing. I can't tell you how many people absolutely loved his work (us most of all). Everyone was completely obsessed with our video. He's got a great eye for capturing the right moments and great feel for putting it to music. He’s just so creative. All you have to do is check out his videos (facebook and vimeo) and you’ll get it, you’ll see what I’m talking about. They really do capture all the important moments (a few staged shots – but who doesn’t). He works with his wife, and we don’t even remember seeing them around, they kind of just blend in, which makes it all the more impressive that they were able to capture everything they did. We were constantly saying to ourselves “that’s a great clip” and “wow, he got that”. He also does a Same Day Edit, which is soooo good, you wonder how the heck he did it in such a short time. I mean, who does that lol. From a business perspective, Ryan is super responsive, he was always happy to field questions and always responded within a day. With the initial consult, he will get to know you and your story. Then he will lay everything out, so there is no confusion. The week leading up to the wedding, he checks in and makes sure everything is line and good to go. Also, he worked extremely well with our planner and photographer, so no worries there. We really feel lucky to have found him. For us, we have absolutely no regrets, having Ryan capturing the best moments of our wedding, was worth every penny. If you’re on the fence, I suggest you do it! You won’t regret it.

Ryan Geldermann isn't your everyday video camera guy. He is the most brilliant wedding CINEMATOGRAPHER of all time! After having Ryan Geldermann in our lives, the concept of having a wedding "videographer" seems old fashioned and obsolete. Cinema-style artistry is totally where it's at!

Ryan completed our [phenomenal cinematic] highlight video SO QUICKLY (less than 4 hours from leaving our wedding) that my brain was temporarily paralyzed with confusion about the time-space continuum. I was perplexed about whether or not I was still living in the moment of our after party, or looking back on something that happened in the past.

Our final bluray discs, along with hard drive full of raw footage, arrived via USPS less than a week after the wedding and, once again, the speediness of his service BLEW MY MIND.

Not only is he a true artist in every sense of the word, he also has excellent organization and customer service (quick response time). The kid is stellar all around!

Even if you don't live in the DMV, it might be worth a serious consideration whether or not you are able to fly him out to wherever you are getting married! :)

My husband and I could not be any happier with the video that Ryan Geldermann masterfully produced for our wedding in DC this April. We were looking for someone who would be easy to work with and produce something amazing, and Ryan definitely did all of that and more. Our guests were so impressed with his work--especially his same day edit highlight video, which absolutely amazed us and our guests. I even saw some guests bawling as they watched, and they said it was the most romantic, well produced video that they've ever seen. AND mind you, this was a same day edit, meaning while Ryan filmed us throughout the day, he also somehow managed to work on a same day video to show our guests at the end of the night. His work is beyond beautiful, and the video that was created will be something that my husband and I will cherish for the rest of our lives! We couldn't recommend Ryan more, especially if you live in the DC/MD/VA area!!!

Although we did not originally budget a videographer into our plans, we could not be more grateful that we changed our minds. More importantly, we could not be more grateful that we found Ryan Geldermann. The weather really sucked on our wedding day, and yet he still delivered the most awesomest wedding video we've ever seen (I think we've watched it 100 times and it's only been two weeks). Our wedding guests were absolutely blown away by the same day edit, and within 24 hours, it was available to share with friends and family on social media.

We are so very thankful that Ryan (and his wife Kate) were there to help capture the day for us. The rumors you hear are true - your wedding day is pretty much just going to be a big blur. And while photographs are beautiful, nothing really takes the place of a video to help capture & preserve those memories. Especially if that video is just super duper awesome.

Hire Ryan. Worth every penny and then some. Trust us.

As a preface, we had little luck finding local videographers who matched our aesthetic and quality expectations. We happened onto Ryan’s work while browsing around on Vimeo and loved it! But…darn - he is based in LA! One fortunate mouse click led us to his personal website. Lo and behold, he was moving to the DC area in 2014!! A few emails and Google chat later, we were booked!

In the lead up period, Ryan answered all emails VERY quickly. He is probably one of those people who hate leaving things hanging. That’s good for you! I even asked him for tips on videography equipment for my own pursuit, and he was just as open and helpful in answering that. Throughout the process, you will feel like you're dealing with a person, or even a friend, rather than a company.

On the day, Ryan and his wife Kate got amazing footage while remaining almost invisible to our guests. I can't say the same for some other videographers I have seen at other weddings. We had an event packed wedding and they caught everything with no hiccups. The two of them alone managed to capture special angles and details on the fly that require acute environmental awareness. Or supreme luck. This is a talent itself, and just as valuable as his filming and editing skills which we had already signed up for. And of course, the wow effect of a top caliber Same Day Edit is priceless. His projector and screen are top notch too, as I had initial concerns about visibility for our guests.

After the wedding, Ryan finished our extended edit in two days. How’s that for speed?

Your wedding is ultimately survived through photos and videos which will help stir up the memories in the future. Having an SDE is a (huge) bonus which adds to the magic of the night. Picking Ryan was the best of many good choices we made for our wedding.

Ryan Geldermann is by far the best “cinematographer” professional in the wedding industry. We had our wedding on November 9th 2013 and hired Ryan to shoot the video. Among his package of "same-day-edit highlight” and “reception” videos we hired him to shoot our “Love Story.” Honestly, hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. We did a lot of research for a videographer after seeing a Ryan production.  Little did we know, our search ended before we started.  We wanted the "best" so we looked a multiple wedding sites and read many yelp reviews, that said, we watched lots of video's from many videographers.  After our thorough search, none compared to the quality of work Ryan Geldermann produced.  Ryan is not like other videographers, he is a cinematographer and it truly shows in his work. So again, our search really ended before it began. We are so happy we choose Ryan Geldermann to shoot and produce our “Love Story” and our very special wedding day videos.
Our guests were in awe of the love story video and speechless about the highlight video. Ryan caught the most special moments and the entire day we barely noticed him. Another great thing is we didn't have to wait forever for the full wedding video. The next morning he sent links to the “Love Story” and “Highlight” videos. Again, amazing in his craft and very professional.
There isn't enough we can say to truly convey how amazing of a job Ryan did. We are truly grateful we hired him and hope that anyone that reads this review will drop any other options off their list and just hire Ryan. You won't regret it!

Where do I begin? Originally we weren't planning on having a videographer. We didn't want to spend the extra money. However, as soon as I came across Ryan's website and watched some of his videos, I was convinced that we NEEDED a video. I was floored when I realized he not only created such beautiful videos, but that they were shot and edited in the same day. Unreal! I looked around at some other companies, but no one compared the the quality of Ryan's work.

Although Ryan wasn't moving to the DC area until 2014, my Fiance encouraged me to e-mail him anyway. When Ryan said he'd be in town the weekend of our wedding I was so incredibly excited. We set up a Google chat and signed the contract. He was super responsive via e-mail which was really convenient.

I watched every video he posted throughout the year on his Facebook page, my Fiance and I referred to him simply as "Geldermann". "Geldermann does it again!". I was honestly a little nervous that our wedding would not measure up to these gorgeous and expensive California weddings he was posting.

Well, finally it was our turn and Ryan created the most amazing wedding video for us. It was worth every penny and more. We will cherish this video for the rest of our lives. Seeing our families proudly showing each-other the video over breakfast the morning after our wedding is one of my fondest memories from the weekend. It was amazing to share with our family and friends right away, it kept the momentum of our wedding going after it was all over.

We knew our wedding day was beautiful, but Ryan made it look even better. He made us look great and captured our love and happiness on that special day.

Ryan is professional, creative, and so talented. DC is very lucky to have him!

So when I was first looking at videographers, I thought to myself, who needs them...I have a photographer and I don't see myself looking though old videos of my wedding but I will probably look at old photos. I almost made the BIGGEST mistake of the wedding. My now wife convinced me that we had to use videographer, which we met with a few videographers which we all thought were blah until we came across Ryan. We looked at his videos and it was definitely the style my wife was going for. After meeting with him, we could tell he was the one. Ryan is awesome, responsive, easy to work with, he worked will with my church, photographer, DJ\MC, and lastly coordinator. Let me tell you, these are big things! We even had technical difficulties with MY laptop and slideshow and he took time out of editing the same day edit to fix the problem. Now, I haven't even mentioned the same day edit. DAMN! This guy knows his stuff. It was absolutely amazing. I mean, I have watched over a dozen times now and my wife has watched it 30 times now. It's crazy! We loved how it turned out. Ryan is the best videographer! A few of my friends are getting married and they all want to use him!

Ryan provided my wife and I with an amazing same day edit video at our wedding. It was far and away the highlight of our wedding reception. Do yourself a favor and book this guy already!! It'll be the best decision you make for your wedding day. Ryan Geldermann and his assistant/wife Kate created a video that will help me and my husband relive our special day over and over again.

Ryan was able to capture candid shots of us throughout the events of the day, because like he says, he's a ninja! At times, I actually forgot he was even there. Every time I watch our video, I would feel the same emotions again as I had that very day. Our SDE video was so beautiful that my husband and I have been watching it non-stop. And our family and friends were extremely impressed that the artistic video was shot and played on the same day!

I really can't stress enough how happy I am to have Ryan as my videographer for my special day. He'll make you a video that will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Ryan became our alternate videographer when our first pick wasn't available on our wedding day (10/27/13). I believe that things happen for a reason. And that reason is to choose Ryan Geldermann. When my then fiancé showed me a sample of his same day edit video, I already knew that we have found the right person for our special day.

Ryan and his assistant/wife were very professional and prompt. Very easy going. They don't make you feel awkward. Like what Ryan said, "he's a ninja"... When I watched my video I don't remember how he was able to capture those AMAZING shots because i don't have that feeling of being watched.

To be honest I was really looking forward to my SDE video, of course second to seeing my bride-to-be for the first time. His work tells it all. The quality of his work is PRICELESS... I wish my SDE video wouldn't end. My now wife and I LOVE the video... you will not be disappointed in hiring Ryan...

So here's my first review from my wedding on October 6, 2013. Ryan and his wife were amazing! I'm extremely picky, I admit, so finding a videographer for my wedding was extremely important. He was well worth the big bucks because he did am awesome job with his same day edit and got it onto the web the same night of the wedding.

Notes:
- He came exactly when we said he would
- brought the projector and the screen for free
- Ryan and his wife worked well with my photographers (Leo and Kat)
- I had a huge wedding party 28 total

Sadly, he and his wife will be moving to the east coast but I'm glad the west had you for a bit! I still haven't seen all the clips, but I've been on my honey,own so hopefully, it'll be there at my house waiting for me. Thanks Ryan!

Ryan was the first vendor I had finalized when planning my wedding. Even though I knew I was going to get a great video from him, nothing can describe how my husband and I felt when we saw the SDE during the reception. First of all, to be honest, I wasn't sure if he was getting enough of footage during our prep because I didn't think he was really filming anything - that is how unobtrusive he was. But when the SDE was played, we were in a state of disbelief of how amazing the video came out. It really captured all the emotions of the whole day, if that's even possible to do. Being that photos take some time to see, it was a huge plus that we were able to access the video online that night and then we had the DVD version (along with the full video of our wedding) within 2 weeks. Weddings really do go by in a blur so it was nice to be able to relive those moments with such a beautiful video. I really cannot say enough about Ryan and his wife. All I know is that I've had way too many friends really disappointed that he is moving to the east coast. I know people that still watch the video to this day - he is just THAT talented. You will not regret booking him.

Wedding cinematography has definitely reached new heights. Ryan's work far exceeded all of our expectations.

When our same day edit came on, there was nothing but silence, a few moments of laughter, a few tears, and an overwhelming response from our guests came in on how ridiculously great Ryan did on the video.

If you are looking to surprise your guests, a same day edit is the way to go. It's a highlight video of the days happenings and they play it right at the reception, and include tidbits of the reception! It is really amazing because his artistic vision is definitely out of this world and he works sooooo fast. He is definitely in the zone at one point, with his headphones on and crazy ninja editing skills.

I encourage you to work with him. He is easy to talk to, super duper responsive to emails, and will not let you down. He catches all those beautiful moments and the pure unadulterated emotions of love and a joyous celebration. You want to remember your best day of your life, this is the way to do it!!!

I was so excited when it was our time to contact Ryan for our wedding! We were so fortunate that he was available to shoot our September wedding. Prior to the wedding, I so appreciated Ryan's responsiveness to all our questions. He even responded to one of my emails during his honeymoon! I could not wait to work with Ryan on our wedding day.

Finally, our wedding day came and Ryan showed up with his partner (his lovely wife) and immediately changed the room into his creative space. Ryan and Kate are professional, friendly and a pleasure to have around on our special day. They are also very discreet! You don't even notice that they are shooting most of the time! Ryan is amazingly talented and has such a creative vision. We couldn't wait for the big reveal during the reception.

When he played the Same Day Edit during our reception, we were taken away. We felt every single emotion possible during the three minutes that we watched our video. Tears of joy were seen in my husband and I and from what we heard later on, 100% of our guests were crying and laughing at the same time. While we watched the video, we could hear our guests oohing and ahhing in the background and everyone was completely shocked and impressed that we were able to show our wedding video during the reception thanks to Ryan's superfast editing skills!

We could not get enough of his work and asked him to create an extended wedding highlights video for us. We LOVE both videos and it was the best decision we made to hire Ryan Geldermann and to get the Same Day Edit and Extended Wedding Highlights Video.

We would recommend Ryan Geldermann to all of our family and friends getting married! Ryan is the Superman of wedding videography!

If anyone is looking for reassurance to hire Ryan, go with your gut feeling and hire him for your wedding. You will not be disappointed with the quality, the professionalism and more importantly, your experience on your big day. Truly, Ryan and Kate were able to capture all the heartfelt moments but what makes them so amazing is that I never felt like they were hovering me or stressing me out. As a bride, there are so many things you are thinking the morning you are getting ready, everyone wants a piece of you, everyone's asking you questions; and for them to capture all the significant moments and then being able to transform it into a beautiful video is unreal. We got our highlight reel in my email literally the next morning and my husband and I were speechless. As a control freak/bridezilla, I have seen and researched so many videographers and thought a lot of them look cheap and corny but once I ran across Ryans page and met with him, I had no doubt it was going to be amazing. There are no words to describe how amazing this man's artistry is presented. His signature practice - a same-day 3.5 minute video - shown to guests during the wedding, is so special that guests a week later are still calling us for the link.

Ryan's eye for cinematography is unparalleled. My wife and I already knew that just by viewing his videos before our wedding, but working with him and seeing our same-day edit only confirmed it. When I found Ryan via weddingwire.com I knew he's the one I want to film for my wedding. Ryan's work is incredible. His work is very unique which makes your wedding unique and like no other. When he showed our Love Story Video during the reception, the entire crowed loved it and so did we. Other videographers give you the edit version or the Highlight Video of your wedding 3 months or later. But with Ryan I received it within 2 days and able to share it on FB with friends and family who weren't able to come. Ryan's work is worth paying for and I highly recommend him to future bride and groom :-)

We found Ryan on Vimeo and right off the bat loved his style which was really unique. He was incorporating stylistic shots (slow mo) and framing techniques which we simply fell in love which no other videographer was doing. Our weekend was this past weekend and everyone approached us after the wedding saying how great the same day edit was. Video is the best way to capture the energy and vibe of the wedding, we are grateful Ryan and his team was able to capture ours in such a perfect way..

Ryan was recommended by one of my youtube subscribers and I must say I was blown away by his work. I could not believe my eyes was watching a wedding video so he was a MUST have at my wedding. I planned my Disney wedding for a year and stalked every video for nearly a year and finally it was my turn.

The day of the wedding he was so easy going and a pleasure to have around (it would be a drag to have someone in your hair that you despised) He was able to make things work that I did not think were possible.I had a small intimate wedding (20) people and he projected it perfectly. He problem solved when my special hanger bent like it was was metal in the terminator....he fixed it and created that special dress moment for me. With the changes and issues with my wedding.....he gave me more than anyone could have asked for...he really exceeded my expectations. Initially, I was worried that after I had watched every single video that he posted that mine would not be as good and boy was I wrong....I watched it and was blown away. My video was the best ever....He contributed time and creativity to this project and so much effort and professionalism.
In essence Ryan created a memory for us that is life long. My video was more than just a replay of an event, it was my life being played before me with the special moments that often go without notice that a still picture cannot create. I was one of the lucky ladies that had a opportunity to work with one of the greatest video dudes ever and for that I am forever grateful.
