Ryan is simply the best. He has so much experience, you don't have to worry at all about how your pictures will turn out. He WILL deliver. Everyone in our family takes awkward photos and struggles to feel "photogenic," but with Ryan I didn't have to add that to my laundry list of stressors on my wedding day. He is so quick, so unobtrusive, and so talented! When you spend so much on a wedding overall, it's important to capture it so you and your friends and family can relive the joy over and over. I couldn't be happier with this investment. -

Ryan Flynn produced beautiful photos that told the story of our wedding day, which continues to bring the event to life months after. Ryan's demeanor is cool, calm & collected - there is no stress from Ryan at all. While I barely noticed him during the event, he was able to capture the day without being a distraction or nuance to the flow of the event. That being said, I was a little nervous to receive the final product, but the photos exceeded my expectations. They were beautifully done and edited. The only thing I would have done differently is been more upfront about pictures I would have wanted outside of normal, or expected shots.
I would recommend Ryan Flynn Photography to any couple looking for a low-key, relaxed experience with photos that will completely exceed your expectations.

User1377101 Sent on 10/13/2013When we first started planning our wedding, I was told that I should pick a few key things that I really cared about to really put my heart, soul and ahem, money into, and then to not let myself sweat as much about the rest. My (now) husband and I agreed that a great photographer was our number one priority, since this would be the way we remembered our day for the rest of our lives. We started getting discouraged as we sifted through many mediocre photographers, but after seeing some of Ryan's photos in Seattle Bridal Magazine, we knew we had found our guy.
Through our whole experience, Ryan was exceptionally kind, flexible, and professional. He went above and beyond with us for our engagement photos--not even flinching at the two hour drive to our desired location. As our wedding got closer, he was always quick to respond to my nervous bride emails, with great tips about shot lists, etc.
What it all really comes down to, however, is our wedding photos, which came out phenomenally. Ryan really exceled at capturing the special moments of the day without us even realizing he was there. Looking through our photos was pretty emotional for me because I really did feel transported back to those exciting moments. Not to mention that Ryan has an excellent eye for interesting, beautiful shots. He so obviously edits and improves every photo he takes, which can kind of drive you crazy when every day you wait for your photos back feels like torture---but it's definitely worth it in the end.
What else? Ryan's a great guy who obviously cares about his clients and finding out how to make their photos unique to them. He does all the important boring business stuff too--like backups for his backups, quick email replies, and well-thought out contracts. We feel extremely lucky to have found him, and will always be grateful to him for our cherished photos. -

We contacted him about six months prior to our wedding, we met him for breakfast to meet each other and then immediately booked him! Ryan was very professional throughout our entire experience and him and his wife were extremely helpful, emailing us ideas, a "shot list" for the wedding day and other helpful tips!! He was quick to respond to our emails, as well as very flexible with his time (we were 30 minutes late to our engagement shoot and he was very understanding!)
Our engagement photos are TO DIE FOR!! I sent Ryan links to a few shoots that I had found and really loved and he took all of the ideas and combined them into one OUTSTANDING shoot! We ended up shooting a more formal session at his house and then drove to the Gorge and shot until the sun went down! Ryan made us feel so comfortable the entire day.
The day of the wedding (June 2013) Ryan and his second photographer were (once again) amazing! Showed up on time, were with us until we left the reception and captured our day perfectly! I loved that Ryan shot around OUR schedule of the day unlike other photographers who tend to have a bit of their own agenda. I look through my wedding pictures daily and relive every moment! Our pictures are the best!
Also note worthy, about a month and a half before the wedding my photo booth company backed out and without hesitation Ryan took on the responsibility and helped us out!
If we had to do it all over again, we would without a doubt hire Ryan again. Not only did we have an incredible photographer, but we also made two great friends! -

the outdoor pictures were gorgeous. it was exactly the style we loved so much when we first saw Ryan's work. it was great getting to work with Ryan. big congrats to him for being selected as a 'rising star' in range finder magazine! what an honor and i can't say i'm surprised. he's truly amazing at what he does and it really shows in his work and his eye for art. couldn't be happier for Ryan!!

Wonderful Photographer
My husband and I chose Ryan to shoot our wedding because we thought he captured couples and their days so perfectly and he did not disappoint with us. Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning and feel very authentic. He caught so many little moments that most people never even see and the photos are truly so special to us. User1449957 Sent on 11/22/2013You need a photographer? Better hire Ryan! He's amazing. His pictures are incredible. I'm so very fortunate to have my wedding documented by Ryan's creativity and talent. The photos were gives to us in a timely fashion after the wedding. An additional bonus was how fun and easy it was to work with him. He'll be my first go-to when babies are in the picture.
The bottom line: the way he captured the day was exactly how we felt, and we couldn't ask for anything more ideal.
Just hire him. You won't regret it. -

Had Ryan do a last minute night time elopement photos in Pioneer Square. Nice guy and was a pleasure to work with but at the end of the day, at least for me, what matters most is the quality of the photos. The quality I would give 1 star. Basic photography 101 skills like framing the subjects correctly was a complete miss. 1. A lot of our photos were off center 2. Our feet was cut off in some photos 3. The framing was just off for most photos 4. ZERO direction given on how and where to stand. 5. It was pretty much a self guided photo shoot. Again, nice guy but poor quality work and definitely not worth the price. Similar quality can be had with someone that just follows basic photography 101 skills. -

User1125335 Sent on 04/03/2013We booked Ryan about 4 months before our wedding based on the strength of his portfolio, negotiated a price and signed a subcontract. I sent Ryan a list of must have shots (just listing certain people together) a month before the wedding.
On the day of the wedding he was a half hour late and left 1 1/2 hour early. Since we had 9 hours of photography and I was trying to enjoy my wedding, I didn't sweat it. He did ask if he and his wife (his chosen second photographer) could leave, but I really didn't want to be the one coordinating his work that day, so I said yes.
He posted the photos to a photo website two months later and I downloaded all of them. I am very thankful I did this because over six months later, I still have not received the DVD of photos I paid for. He also asked us to pay an additional $100 in travel costs a few months after the wedding, even though we had negotiated that in the beginning. He also lost our final payment and requested another check. He moved in the middle of all this and forgot to tell us, so we are currently trying to confirm his mailing address to send the second check (hopefully in exchange for the DVD since the website photos were just taken down), unfortunately he is not responding to calls or emails.
He's not a bad guy, just really not responsible or responsive.
