I cannot recommend Ryan enough, he is the best! He photographed our wedding and did our engagement photos, both in Mammoth. Ryan is so easy to work with; he is relaxed, organized, responsive, and very go with the flow. Our wedding day was stress-free and he was a huge part of that.
Beyond that, his photos are incredible. He manages to capture the details, the moments, and the beauty of the surroundings all at the same time. His pricing is very reasonable and he has a quick turnaround time. -

We had the best experience with Ryan for our engagement photos in Mammoth. He was amazing at guiding us through poses and made everything feel natural and easy, which helped us relax and actually enjoy the shoot. Ryan was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the whole experience flow seamlessly. On top of that, the turnaround time for our photos was super quick and the results were stunning. We could not be happier and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. -

BEST Photographer in Mammoth Lakes!!!
There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude for Ryan. Since the first time we met him , I knew we picked the right guy. A very genuine, knowledgeable , rad human. Always there if you had any questions or concerns. Ryan was so accommodating and fun to work with it. He made our whole experience stress free and easy-going. Ryan made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We had a blast going to different locations with him. Lots of laughs and memories that we will cherish forever. His vision , talent and attention to detail is incredible. It felt like we had a friend behind the lens. He captured some magical moments and made our elopement experience unforgettable. Ryan is the ultimate pro, but honestly that's the least of it. We hired Ryan for our wedding because of his stunning style, shooting weddings with an eye for the landscape and placing people perfectly in the frame. His editing style is vivid and vibrant, and his eye for color saturation brings the Eastern Sierra to life.
Ryan was incredibly easy to work with, able to jump on the included engagement session on little notice. Throughout the ceremony and reception he was both everywhere and invisible, somehow managing to capture every angle and individual guest in such unique and lively frames. His turnaround times were remarkably quick and his photo-sharing platform is extremely easy to use.
We were glad to have paid for the full 8 hours, having all the getting ready photos and maximum time on the dance floor was totally worth it.
We're going to treasure his images (and he gave us many hundreds) for the rest of our lives. HIRE HIM! -

Amazing All Around

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer! Ryan truly captured the essence of our special day - both rain and shine. Ryan took his time and found all the perfect shots. His ability to capture everyone’s unique personalities was also just icing on the cake! Genuinely - in and out of mammoth — he will be the first we recommend for any couple!
Side note — he even ran home and got my husband a rain jacket as it began to pour down rain. Honestly just an awesome human, with amazing talent

Our June Mountain Wedding
I couldn't be happier with Ryan. He made us feel at ease on our big day, and perfectly captured every moment. He took us around the June Lake Loop to some of his favorite spots (including June Lake Brewery ☺️) and got us to the chair lift with time to relax before heading up for the ceremony. We now have all of his beautiful pictures that we can look back and reflect on for the rest of our lives. Thank you Ryan! -

I would highly, highly recommend Ryan as the photographer for any event/occasion! We first hired Ryan to do our engagement photo shoot in Mammoth Lakes, and we loved working with him so much that we hired him for our wedding there as well. He has an incredible eye for landscape and lighting and knows the Eastern Sierra area exceptionally well. He recommended great places for all of our photo shoots and kept a meticulous eye on the weather and lighting on our wedding day in order to get some amazing shots. He got our photos done very quickly after the wedding and has really nice online gallery to access all the photos. I also think he is more reasonably priced than some of the other photographers in the area. Not only is he a great photographer but he is an awesome person and so great to work with. By the end of our wedding journey, we considered him a friend. Highly recommend!! -

Better than we could have ever imagined!
We were so incredibly happy that we hired Ryan to photograph our wedding. His calm and cool demeanor was the first thing that attracted us to his services. The first time we met up in Mammoth he rode his bike over to our campsite and we sat at the picnic table to chat. Down to earth and personable, exactly how we wanted our wedding to be. He arrived on time, was extremely professional with all of our guests, and captured every moment of our special day. We had some special requests (like a motorcycle photo shoot after the ceremony and some Milky Way shots at the end of the reception) and Ryan did an amazing job with both of them! Working with Ryan was a wonderful experience, we are so happy with how our photographs came out. If you are a mountain lover, down to earth forest dweller, and outdoor enthusiast, Ryan knows exactly how to capture the essence of your special moments. Plus, he threw in engagement photos that he did out at the hot creek hot springs which came out incredible too! Cannot express enough gratitude. -

Ryan was the best photographer we could've worked with! We eloped and Ryan did a great job of making us feel comfortable and natural throughout our photos. He was extremely flexible on location and time with the mountains being so unpredictable with weather in January. While we knew some of our favorite places in the area, he also showed us some secret spots that produced amazing photos. He also got some get action shots of our dogs!
Overall, Ryan was a phenomenal person to work with- great communication, incredible photography, and a fun person to be with. We would recommend him to anyone! -

Ryan was so great to work with from start to finish. We scheduled our elopement very last minute (two weeks out) and Ryan made scheduling, the contract, location, and plan for the day so easy and stress-free. He had a solid plan for the day of and knew exactly where to go around Mammoth Lakes and at what time so the lighting was perfect. He also had a plan to get the coolest moon rise pictures, which was totally unexpected and magical. We couldn't be happier with our pictures!

We got married in June Lake in early October and we knew we wanted a local who could capture the Eastern Sierra's beauty - Ryan exceeded our expectations.
We ended up having clouds, rain AND snow on the day of the wedding and his expertise helped us get the most incredible shots that we never could've imagined while we were planning the wedding. His calm demeanor was also incredibly helpful as we navigated the elements. :)

Dream Wedding Photos
Ryan is an incredible photographer! My husband and I got married in the Eastern Sierra mountain and couldn’t have been happier with how amazing our wedding photos turned out. From the start, Ryan was quick to respond to questions and/or concerns, professional, organized, patient, personable, and passionate about his work. He made taking photos so much fun for not only my husband and me, but all of our guests. He took the time to research the sunset time and scout for the most beautiful places to take pictures prior to our wedding ceremony. In addition, he asked me to make a quick and simple family photo variations, which was very helpful the day of the wedding. This helped taking family photos so easy! Ryan was quick to get our wedding photos to us. Soon after our wedding, we received a sneak peek of our photos and quickly after that, our entire wedding album! After our wedding, we had many of our family members and guests compliment how amazing Ryan was. He captured our entire wedding day perfectly! -

Working with Ryan, was like working with a friend. I felt so incredibly comfortable working with Ryan. Ryan is probably one of the best photographers in the Yosemite area, as he is both a well-known landscape photographer and wedding photographer. My wife and I hired Ryan to shoot our wedding at Tenaya Lake after interviewing several other photographers, and we couldn’t have been more happy with that decision. Ryan is extremely talented and creative, and his photos show it. The lighting and composition of the photos were excellent, and he got some epic shots of us around Yosemite.
Ryan was super easy to work with, efficient, and extremely flexible with the planning process, considering we split the day into two separate photo shoots. He knows the park so well, and one of our favorite parts of our wedding day was having Ryan shoot us at his “secret” spots around the Tuolumne Meadows area. He really made us feel comfortable the whole time, which is something that’s not always easy to do.
He even went the extra mile to show up and hour early to our ceremony and helped coordinate and manage our guests through a passing thunderstorm.
I highly recommend Ryan if you’re in need of a wedding photographer in the Yosemite area.

Ryan is the best!
We absolutely loved working with Ryan! From start to finish he is professional and responsive in the process, and a very creative photographer. Our engagement photoshoot took place in Yosemite Valley and he knew the area well, including where to go for epic sunset and beautiful meadow shots. For our wedding at Evergreen Lodge he captured both our joy and the joy and fun of our guests - our favorite photos are his candids and he has a great eye for them. He was also such a chill guy to hang out with and made me more comfortable with the process of taking countless couple/wedding photos. Would 100% recommend him for any and all of your photography needs! -

The coolest dude with serious talent!
Ryan is incredible! We loved his landscape shots and asked if he could do our engagement photos. We liked those so much we asked if he could also shoot our wedding. He did not disappoint and we now have the best wedding photos we could have asked for. We would highly, highly recommend Ryan Alonzo as a wedding photographer, especially if you are getting married in Yosemite National Park. He knows all the best spots for photos! Ryan was able to capture our day with El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Half Dome, and the Merced River in the background. And got all these shots in 4 hrs with my broken foot! Wow! Man, I can’t speak highly enough about Ryan and his work! We knew how well our elopement photos would turn out just based on looking at his prior work but when we got the chance to see our photos for the first time it was incredible. The scenery was beautiful, the golden hour photos belong in a magazine, and some of the emotional moments he captured will be something we cherish forever! My husband and I had such a lovely time bouncing from location to location with Ryan. He was so easy to work with. He made us feel comfortable and we all laughed the entire time. Again, the photos he delivered were simply incredible. He included some wonderful candids too that we just loved. Do yourself the biggest favor and hire Ryan. Amazing Yosemite Elopement Photographer!
Ryan is an absolute pro and just a great guy. We had the pleasure of working with him in October for our Yosemite planned elopement, and the results were spectacular. His knowledge of the park and shooting spots were phenomenal, and he skillfully captured every moment along the way. We now have a wall of Ryan's photos overlooking our dining table, including a 44" by 22" large canvas print of the Taft Point cliff shot, which all look incredible. We also printed some photo books as Christmas presents, and Ryan's photos captured the day so well that the viewers thought they were there with us. We could not be any happier with how the day went, and Ryan was a huge part of that. Thanks again Ryan, we wish you the best and we highly recommend working with him. -

We loved working with Ryan. Our photos from both our wedding and the day-after shoot are amazing. Ryan is a true expert. It was clear from the get-go that Ryan knows Yosemite like the back of his hand. From the advice he gave to the locations he chose for our day-after shoot, we could rest assured that whatever the plan was for photos, he had it taken care of. We got married during fire season, which meant that we risked smokey pictures. Nevertheless, he knew where to go and how to deal with the smoke so that we could get the best shots.
Ryan is also really fun to work with. Getting married in 2020 - with COVID, park closures, fires, etc - was sure stressful. We changed dates, changed times, and changed our plans what felt like a million times. Flexible, laid back, patient, and calm, Ryan rolled with the punches and had a great sense of humor.
I highly recommend Ryan and would definitely work with him again! He made our photo shoot a super fun experience! -

Best Yosemite Photographer!!
What a dream! This review is kind of late (he did an engagement shoot for us in May 2018). He did a fabulous job, had reasonable prices (super reasonable for the area!) and was so fun to work with. We are still in awe of the pictures he captured for us and thankful we found him! He is such a genuine person and really loves Yosemite (we did too!) His pictures are literally stunning!! -

Amazing wedding photos!
Could not imagine our photos turning out better! Ryan perfectly captured and blended together the atmosphere of our wedding with the iconic Yosemite landmarks.
