  Best Photographer!

  We couldn't have asked for a better photographer! Ryan truly captured the essence of our special day - both rain and shine. Ryan took his time and found all the perfect shots. His ability to capture everyone’s unique personalities was also just icing on the cake! Genuinely - in and out of mammoth — he will be the first we recommend for any couple!
  
  Side note — he even ran home and got my husband a rain jacket as it began to pour down rain. Honestly just an awesome human, with amazing talent

  Ryan is the best!

  We cannot recommend Ryan's work enough! If you are looking for a talented, creative, and experienced photographer, Ryan is the one. We decided to elope in Tuolumne Meadows, and while searching for photographers in the area, we found Ryan’s website. We knew right away that he was the perfect choice to document our special day.
  
  From the very first email and call, Ryan impressed us with his humility, talent, and deep knowledge of the area we had chosen. On the day of our wedding, he arrived on time and took us to the most stunning spots around the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, where we were staying. He helped us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and was incredibly patient when it took longer than expected for our family (six people, most of them over 70) to get ready for the hike to our elopement location.
  
  The next day, we received an email with nearly 300 beautifully edited photos. Every single person we've shown them to has been amazed by Ryan's talent, and we couldn’t agree more! Our photos perfectly captured the magic of our day, and we are so grateful for Ryan’s gift as a photographer.
  
  We also purchased both of his published books, Yosemite in Pictures and Tuolumne in Pictures, and we proudly tell everyone who visits our home, "This was our wedding photographer."

  I couldn't recommend Ryan more! We decided on a destination wedding, so we wanted to work with a Mammoth Lakes local photographer, to ensure the photos really captured the beautiful scenery.

  Our June Mountain Wedding

  I couldn't be happier with Ryan. He made us feel at ease on our big day, and perfectly captured every moment. He took us around the June Lake Loop to some of his favorite spots (including June Lake Brewery ☺️) and got us to the chair lift with time to relax before heading up for the ceremony. We now have all of his beautiful pictures that we can look back and reflect on for the rest of our lives. Thank you Ryan!

  Ryan did our wedding photos in Mammoth Lakes and they could not have turned about better! He knew all of the spots to get good pictures, was very professional, and we are still amazed at how quickly he got them to us. Thanks helping make our big day special!

  Amazing photographer with local knowledge!

  Ryan was the best photographer we could've worked with! We eloped and Ryan did a great job of making us feel comfortable and natural throughout our photos. He was extremely flexible on location and time with the mountains being so unpredictable with weather in January. While we knew some of our favorite places in the area, he also showed us some secret spots that produced amazing photos. He also got some get action shots of our dogs!
  Overall, Ryan was a phenomenal person to work with- great communication, incredible photography, and a fun person to be with. We would recommend him to anyone!

  Ryan is the best!

  I would highly, highly recommend Ryan as the photographer for any event/occasion! He has an incredible eye for landscape and lighting and knows the Eastern Sierra area exceptionally well. He recommended great places for all of our photo shoots and kept a meticulous eye on the weather and lighting on our wedding day in order to get some amazing shots. He got our photos done very quickly after the wedding and has really nice online gallery to access all the photos. I also think he is more reasonably priced than some of the other photographers in the area. Not only is he a great photographer but he is an awesome person and so great to work with. By the end of our wedding journey, we considered him a friend. Highly recommend!!

  Best Decision for our Elopement

  Ryan was so great to work with from start to finish. We scheduled our elopement very last minute (two weeks out) and Ryan made scheduling, the contract, location, and plan for the day so easy and stress-free. He had a solid plan for the day of and knew exactly where to go around Mammoth Lakes and at what time so the lighting was perfect. He also had a plan to get the coolest moon rise pictures, which was totally unexpected and magical. We couldn't be happier with our pictures!

  We were so incredibly happy that we hired Ryan to photograph our wedding. His calm and cool demeanor was the first thing that attracted us to his services. The first time we met up in Mammoth he rode his bike over to our campsite and we sat at the picnic table to chat. Down to earth and personable, exactly how we wanted our wedding to be. He arrived on time, was extremely professional with all of our guests, and captured every moment of our special day. We had some special requests (like a motorcycle photo shoot after the ceremony and some Milky Way shots at the end of the reception) and Ryan did an amazing job with both of them! Working with Ryan was a wonderful experience, we are so happy with how our photographs came out. If you are a mountain lover, down to earth forest dweller, and outdoor enthusiast, Ryan knows exactly how to capture the essence of your special moments. Plus, he threw in engagement photos that he did out at the hot creek hot springs which came out incredible too! Cannot express enough gratitude.

  Ryan is THE best!

  We got married in June Lake in early October and we knew we wanted a local who could capture the Eastern Sierra's beauty - Ryan exceeded our expectations. 
  We ended up having clouds, rain AND snow on the day of the wedding and his expertise helped us get the most incredible shots that we never could've imagined while we were planning the wedding. His calm demeanor was also incredibly helpful as we navigated the elements. :)

  Ryan was truly the best photographer we could have picked for our dream wedding. We got married in Mammoth Lakes and since he is local, he knew ALL of the perfect spots.   Perfect Elopement

  We used Ryan for our Elopement Wedding in Mammoth on 5/31/23 and we highly recommend him. His local knowledge of the area for amazing picturesque locations and timing of best lighting was so perfect. We love all of our pictures and our friends and family are in awe of them too! He was fun to hang out with too, it felt like we were with a friend the whole time.

  Dream Wedding Photos

  Ryan is an incredible photographer! My husband and I got married in the Eastern Sierra mountain and couldn’t have been happier with how amazing our wedding photos turned out. From the start, Ryan was quick to respond to questions and/or concerns, professional, organized, patient, personable, and passionate about his work. He took the time to research the sunset time and scout for the most beautiful places to take pictures prior to our wedding ceremony. Ryan was quick to get our wedding photos to us. Soon after our wedding, we received a sneak peek of our photos and quickly after that, our entire wedding album!   Best photographer and backpacking companion we could have asked for!

  Hire Ryan! Ryan is not only an incredible photographer, but also a great backpacking companion, super knowledgeable about the Yosemite Backcountry, and an amazing person. We hired Ryan to take engagement and adventure photos along a three day backpacking journey, including a sunset summit of Half Dome.

  Extremely talented and charismatic photographer!

  Ryan is extremely talented and takes great care to capture the most amazing photos possible. We took advantage of his 8-hour package and were floored by how attentive he was during those full 8 hours. Ryan utilized every single bit of time that he had to make sure that every single aspect of our wedding day was captured in its entirety. Ryan is also very kind and makes everyone feel so comfortable. He directed our families so well during our family photographs and made sure they had fun as well. We cannot recommend Ryan enough and will always thank him for capturing our day so beautifully. He truly has a gift.

  Best wedding photographer in Yosemite

  Ryan is probably one of the best photographers in the Yosemite area, as he is both a well-known landscape photographer and wedding photographer. My wife and I hired Ryan to shoot our wedding at Tenaya Lake after interviewing several other photographers, and we couldn’t have been more happy with that decision. Ryan is extremely talented and creative, and his photos show it. The lighting and composition of the photos were excellent, and he got some epic shots of us around Yosemite.
  
  Ryan was super easy to work with, efficient, and extremely flexible with the planning process, considering we split the day into two separate photo shoots. He knows the park so well, and one of our favorite parts of our wedding day was having Ryan shoot us at his “secret” spots around the Tuolumne Meadows area. He really made us feel comfortable the whole time, which is something that’s not always easy to do.
  
  He even went the extra mile to show up and hour early to our ceremony and helped coordinate and manage our guests through a passing thunderstorm.
  
  I highly recommend Ryan if you’re in need of a wedding photographer in the Yosemite area.

He gave the perfect amount of direction and made sure to cover all of the photos we asked for on our list. He took us to beautiful places for our photos which ended up being the most incredible photos I could have ever asked for. He also has an amazing eye for capturing candid photos that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend working with Ryan.
