  We used Russells to cater our wedding reception at Fox Hollow Golf Club. Darek was wonderful to work with. He was so flexible when helping us plan our menu. We couldn't have been happier, the food was wonderful. Our guests are still telling us how good the food was :)

  Darek is a phenomenal individual to work with. We got married in St. Paul. Russell's Catering was on a list of recommended vendors so we thought we'd give them a try. Were were hesitant when we realized they were based in Big Lake; but fear not, they have their service model down to a T and the food was FANTASTIC.
  
  Darek provides so much care and attention to detail even before you choose him as a vendor. He setup a wonderful tasting experience that was professional and personal. From that point forward Darek was prompt in replying to us and working with us on our menu. The pricing is incredibly fair, especially given the quality and quantity of food! Russell's also provided our bar service which was likewise quite reasonably priced. He doesn't add-in any crazy additional fees for a champagne toast which was a pleasant surprise after having looked at a few big restaurant-name vendors. Quite refreshing to work with a small business owner AND to work directly with the chef!
  
  It is evident that Darek takes a lot of pride in his work and does his level best to make everything perfect. He does this with a positive and flexible attitude. His staff were equally professional and easy to work with. High praise for Russell's Catering - take the opportunity to work with them if they have your date available!

  We had such a great experience with Darek and all of the Russell's catering team and I'm so glad we went with them for our reception caterer. I cannot count the number of people that raved about the food at our wedding... it was seriously overwhelming! The food was amazing, the level of service was great, and we feel like the pricing was really reasonable for what we got. Our experience with Darek was also really good -- he has a high level of integrity and it shows with everything he does with Russell's. We had a few hiccups with a previous venue and Darek was great about rolling with the punches and being flexible with us.   We are so happy that we chose Russell's! From the first time we met with Darek, we felt like we were the most important customer. Throughout the whole planning process, they answered any questions we had and took care of everything on the day of the wedding! One of the waiters found out that I like Riesling and made sure I always had some in my glass for the rest of the night! Would highly recommend them!

  Russell's Catering was one of the vendors that our reception venue referred us to, to cater our wedding reception. Throughout the planning process, Darek was extremely prompt in responding to any questions that we had, and making sure everything was ready for the day of our event.  The tables were all set in advance and preparations were done before the guests started arriving.  We chose a buffet style dinner for our guests, but the staff from Russell's served the head table personally. It was such a nice touch. The food was absolutely delicious and had all the guests raving. It made us very happy to have guests that were as satisfied with the food as we were. The serving staff, together with Darek, made an incredible team that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing food and top notch service.

  Darek at Russell's was so great to work with. His tasting was amazing, and at the end of the night, I knew the food was good because it tasted exactly like it had at the tasting. He was so accommodating to our tastes and our budget and we never felt pressured. He also had done many weddings at the Semple Mansion, so I had confidence he'd be able to pull off our wedding without a hitch. He remained friendly and professional the entire time and I still have friends and family that talk about how good the food was!

  I wish I could give out some "6's" here. Darek with Russell's Catering (Catering service from Russell's on the Lake) is absolutely one of the most stand-up guys me & my fiance have ever met. Darek is the most energetic, kind, and excited vendor we worked with! Not to mention he is a total expert on catering & putting out some REALLY GOOD FOOD! Even better, he is more than reasonable with his pricing, and we really left feeling like we wanted to do more for him because he did such a good job! We knew we would be in good hands with Darek, and we absolutely were. He knows how to run a swift & professional operation at the Semple Mansion, and it absolutely went off without a hitch! He is amazing! & we even had some special orders for food allergies & some special drink requests -- all were executed with flying colors. His team also helped with some of the change-over from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, and gladly placed our table cloths, candles, and petals on the table for us. Also, since we're not cake people Darek whipped up some custom deserts of chocolate brownie sundaes served out of cocktail glasses -- a total show stopper!!! & if you want filet mignon at your wedding that is cooked to a PERFECT medium...Darek is your guy. THANK YOU DAREK!

  Russell's did an excellent job with our wedding! I had so many compliments from everyone at the wedding regarding their food! I believe they gained business just by catering our wedding! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! Price was great too!! I highly recommend them!

  Russell's was a fantastic food vendor! The catering coordinator, Darek, was extremely helpful at guiding us through the process and was very fast at responding to emails. We had a plated meal, and everything was delicious. The service was quick, allowing us to get on with the night without wasting time. He was very flexible and honest, even suggesting several cost saving options for us! At first, my main concern was that Big Lake is quite a ways away from Saint Paul, and I was worried the food would not be fresh. That was put to rest when he said they do weddings like this all the time, and explained the process for which they transport the food without it getting cold. The food turned out perfectly at the wedding, alleviating any fears I still had. Definitely go in for a tasting with them. Trust me, it's worth it!

  Russel's catering treated us like royalty by giving us a candelit dinner with champagne just for our tasting. The food was delicious and hot off the plate when it was served. It was nice to get great service and food without breaking our budget.

  I absolutely loved Darek! He is very professional and everything got done exactly as I had asked. He is so experienced in this field that he made great suggestions when I didn't know what to do. I highly recommend Russell's Catering! What a great value too!
