My venue put in me a difficult position with many restrictions on outside catering. I ran into Sheila at the Dream Shaadi event and explained my situation to her. She was immediately on board and her and her team are amazing. We got so many compliments on the food from guests - from taste to food display and compliments from the venue as well how easy Rupa Catering's team and chef is to work with. They offer a huge variety of items, some I had never even heard of before and everything was fresh and tasty. Would recommend - they won't disappoint. -

Delicious Food, Excellent Service, Versatile Menu, Caring Staff
We loved everything about working with Rupa Vira for our wedding. All the food was delicious, and we were able to design a menu that had great variety, appealed to everyone, and was cost effective. The best part was hearing several people with dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free, etc) go through the buffet line and say, "I can eat everything here!" Sheila was so great to work with throughout the entire process. Unlike other catering vendors that strictly control what they do for you, Sheila insisted that she and her staff were there to make our wedding easy and special. They set up tables and chairs, set places, served drinks, and made sure everything was perfect at our reception. I cannot recommend them enough! -

We were beyond impressed by the service and the food quality that Rupa Vira provided at our babyshower. They were very attentive to all of our requests and had great suggestions for the menu to help us stay within our budget. The guests at the event absolutely loved the food! Rupa Vira catering was an absolute hit at our wedding. Everyone raved about the food and they took the time and go the extra mile with amazing presentation. Staff on the day of were attentive and made sure food was available throughout. For a 500 person wedding, this type of service is impressive!
We had 2 tastings to get our menu right and they were so patient while working with us (multiple changes, dietary preferences)
This vendor is reliable, trustworthy, and consistently gives amazing results.
We had food catered with them for 2 days and both days were an absolute hit. They took care of everything down to the last detail and allowed us to throw the wedding of our dreams.
When searching for a caterer, Rupa Vira is the one!

We tasted several Indian vendors in the DMV who could do fusion dishes and Rupa Vira stood out above the others due to their incredible food quality/taste, their presentation, and professionalism. We ended up hiring them for 3 events on wedding weekend (1 of which were snack boxes), all of different cuisines, and they did an impeccable job. Food quantity was all correct, and variety was great. -

We worked with Sheila and the rest of the Rupa Vira team to cater our fusion wedding. We were very pleased with the experience from start to finish. At our tasting, we truly enjoyed every dish we tried and were immediately sold on Rupa Vira. The pricing was very reasonable. The team was very flexible and worked with our venue staff, even providing on site staff to ensure that food was prepared and served at the correct temperature. They worked with us to pick dishes that worked well with our specific needs (ex, choosing appetizers that would work well as passed appetizers vs served buffet style). Sheila even drove an hour to attend our final walk through at the venue, which was so appreciated by us and our planning team. Most importantly, our guests loved the food and every dish was a hit. I highly recommend!!! -

If you are debating hiring Rupa Vira for your next event - look no further. We hired RV as our wedding caterer and we were BEYOND impressed. Our wedding venue recommended them and I couldn't be happier. I have a few things to highlight, firstly being how generous and helpful Sheila is. She took care of us the entire time and answered all our questions as needed. She offered us a tasting (which was AMAZING) and then continued to support us when we needed recommendations regarding our food since we were having a mixed wedding with Indian and non-Indian folks. Even during the wedding, she came to us to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly. After the wedding, she also reached out to us and we continue to maintain a good relationship with her. She is very professional, looks out for you and ensures your event runs smoothly. Secondly, our tasting was INCREDIBLE. They allowed us to taste a variety of dishes (more than what we initially signed up for) and Chef Khan knows how to bring the taste of India to you. He was very professional, met with us to discuss the best dishes for our wedding guests and also provided us with multiple suggestions dependent on the needs of our guests. Our tasting made us feel like we were eating food from India. Third, the quality and taste of RV exceeds any other Indian restaurants in the area. The reason I say this is because we live about 2 hours away and we catered food from RV for our wedding because we couldn't find another restaurant that met our expectations. The menu has so many food choices and can be altered dependent on your preferences. The quantity is fantastic, the quality is phenomenal and overall our guests loved the food so much that even though its been a year, people STILL tell me we had the best wedding food ever and proceed to ask me where we got the food from and if we could share the name of the restaurant. Alls this to say, I cannot recommend RV enough. They are simply fantastic and I will continue to recommend them as much as possible. Don't waste your time looking for other restaurants because Sheila and her team will travel to you and ensure the best food quality for your event. THANK YOU Sheila and team. Rupa Vira provided the catering services for our sons Reception Event in May 2024, and we were extremely happy with the the overall service and the whole experience of booking them through the process of finalizing the menu and actual services on day of event. The food was really fantastic , all our guests had so many compliments on the food ! Service during the process and staff service at the event were also fantastic, Working with Sheila was a pleasure and Rupa Vira were very accommodating even with my last minute change requests on some item in the menu! We were extremely happy and satisfied with Rupa Vira will definitely use them again for future events!! -

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Rupa Vira once again for my sister's baby shower events. We previously worked with Sheila and her wonderful team for my sister's wedding two years ago, and chose them once again for her baby shower. We couldn't have imagined a better experience when it came to food quality, attention to detail, setup, delivery, and professionalism. Sheila, Priyank, and the entire team know how to make a client feel special and taken care of. We have never been denied anything we desired! The above title is a direct quote from several guests at my wedding. We had a fusion Indian/Jewish wedding, and Rupa Vira is a restaurant we like a lot. Their presentation of everything is beautiful and photographs well and it somehow tastes even better than it looks. The staff is super flexible and creative if you have dietary stuff/special requests, and their menu has stuff that will please guests who flew in from India as well as your friends from the midwest who have never tried Indian food before. -

Prompt and excellent service with a very high quality of food items
Prompt and excellent service by Rupa Vira Catering staff as well as exceptional quality of food. We were able to select any item that we want even if it is not in the menu item list and we selected a few Gujarati delicacies and Rupa Vira's quality was outstanding. Prompt on-time setup, services and clean up by efficient staff and management. Would highly recommend Rupa Vira Catering services for any event. -

Rupa Vira Catering catered our recent wedding and they did not disappoint! They served a pre-ceremony drink and appetizer, appetizers for cocktail hour, and dinner during our event. We love that they offer great menu options and were particularly delighted about the Gujarati items. Our contact, Sheila Desai, was very easy to work with during the entire planning process. All of their food was absolutely delicious and we received numerous compliments from guests. -
