Blue Owl tells us that there should be 12 pieces cut from each pie. We try to do 8-10 pieces when cutting. However, when guests are standing there all wanting 1 particular pie, we cut pie pieces a little smaller to accommodate all that want that particular flavor. I was told that the pies were a big hit at your event. That's Blue Owl for ya, always leaving their customers wanting more!!!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback and sharing your experience. I am sorry you felt stressed regarding the cottage. As the contract states, you have access to the cottage 3 hours before your ceremony. Then the ceremony takes place and pictures after which adds the extra hour, making it 4 hours. I know we request that all personal items be out of the cottage 1/2 hour before your ceremony, to allow our staff member to tidy up, and prepare the cottage for the next event. As you entered the cottage, it was ready to go for you because of this policy. We really strive to provide a stress-free experience, so I apologize if you felt rushed. We also try to coordinate your timings so you get the most out of your reception time. If we allowed for the bridal party to reenter the cottage AFTER the ceremony and pictures to clear out personal items, it would be at the expense of at least 30 minutes of your reception time. And we know our couples are excited to enter their reception where all of their family and friends are ready to celebrate with them. Again, thank you for your feedback. And congratulations!!!!

We are sorry that you walked away unhappy from your experience at Royale Orleans. We strive to give our customers the best day of their lives.

We assure you we were not understaffed for your event. Your event was the only one we had at Royale Orleans on that Sunday.

You booked the outdoor ceremony and cottage for getting ready. The contract is for 3 hours in the cottage, we gave you an additional hour free of charge. Andrea, one of our employees, had the cottage open and ready by 12:45 and greeted one of your bridesmaids. Holly, one of our managers, greeted your mom and gave your mom her cell phone number in case you had any questions or concerns, as you were not there yet. It is not our policy to stay at the cottage for the 3 (in your case, 4) hours. It is a private time for you to spend with your bridal party. Ava, the hostess, and April, the bartender, came over to get you for the ceremony, which was moved inside due to weather issues.

You are correct, after the dinner is completed, our staff does not bother the bridal couple as they are doing their special dances and celebrating with their guests. However, the DJ, the bartender, the hostess, and the bussers are all visible in the room bussing, cutting cake, bartending, playing music, and at all times there is someone in the room if you have a question or concern. Any one of them could have assisted you with whatever you needed, all you had to do was ask. If April stepped away from the bar, it was for a few moments to restock ice and bar supplies. She is never gone for more than a brief moment.

It is our policy to cut the cake a few hours into the event. Once the cake is cut, it is left out until the end of the event, in case any of your guests want to take a piece home with them. At the end of the event, we do wrap it up for you to take home.

It is our pleasure to put out the decorations you brought for your event. We do this service free of charge. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to pack it all up at the end of the event and take it with them. If we did not make that clear at the tour you took before booking, or at the final appointment when you finalized your particulars for your event, then that is an issue on our part and we thank you for bringing it to our attention. If you were unable to find your boxes/bins at the end of your event, all you needed to do was ask. They are always under your gift table, for your convenience. April stated she brought you a cart to load your possessions for transporting to your cars.

We had no idea there was any issue with the DJ. I did speak with him today and he stated that there was an issue with your entrance song for the reception. The song you chose was only 28 seconds long so the introductions didn’t go as you envisioned. He did state he explained what went awry and apologized for his part in the situation. He did receive a long list of songs you wanted played at your event and he stated that he did stick to your list, while adding some tried and true songs that typically get guests up and dancing.

If you would like to speak further about anything relating to your event, we are a phone call away. We wish you had called us right away and not waited 4 weeks to state your concerns. All feedback, whether positive or negative, improves our business. Even though we have been in business for 45 years, we appreciate when our customers give us feedback.
