Loved everything about this venue. What a dream come true! The location was so convenient and everything was well organized even during a pandemic. We had little to worry about which was a huge blessing, and we received SOOO many compliments! We got married on a Friday and the pricing seemed very reasonable compared to other venues, and you get a lot!! I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Venue, Great Food, and Top-Notch Service

We chose the Royal Park Hotel for our wedding because out of all the venues that we toured, it was the only location where the food and beverage manager kept us for a full hour and not only answered our questions, but gave helpful advice. The food is delicious, the staff is professional, and the hotel grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained. Meredith and the staff were understanding and offered solutions when our March 2020 wedding had to be suddenly cancelled, and again when restrictions around our rescheduled date meant that plans had to be changed on a dime. The hotel's service was excellent in extremely challenging circumstances, and we were thrilled to have such a beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding there.

Stunning venue!

This venue is absolutely amazing! We had our wedding in the conservatory and it was like a dream! The team is very accommodating and flexible, the food is incredible, and the overall ambiance is stunning. I would highly recommend this venue!

Exceptional! Exceeds All Expectations!

There are no words to properly describe how great of a job the Royal Park does. Working with Meredith as our wedding coordinator was an absolutely pleasure. She is a total professional and is incredibly skilled at what she does. I heard from so many guests that it was the best wedding they've ever been to. And as the bride, they made it so easy for me ro thoroughly enjoy every moment. Everyone says your wedding day is a blur but with the help of the Royal Park, I didn't have to worry about a thing and I had the most fun and memorable night of my life! The food was phenomenal! The ceremony in the conservatory was spectacular. The ballroom was beautiful. The Royal Park has thought of everything. My husband and I went to the bridal suite after the reception and were welcomed by champagne on ice, chocolates, slices of wedding cake plated to read, "Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ooms," and rose petals throughout the room. The Royal Park is the absolute best place to get married, I would recommend it to anyone.

Great Experience

Our wedding reception was beautiful due to the professionalism and amazing job the Royal Park Hotel staff did. We worked with Kathleen for months to organize all the details and menu. She was extremely patient and helpful. Joe coordinated the day of the wedding and made sure everything went according to plan. Aly helped set up the room perfectly. The chef provided delicious food that all guests enjoyed, including the vegan option. Everything exceeded our expectations. We had a small reception in the conservatory and even though there were other events happening the same day, all staff members gave us their attention and assistance. Also, we received a complimentary night at the hotel, which was a nice addition. Highly recommend this location!

In short, everything was perfect. Kathleen and Joe make the entire planning experience easy. They are responsive and wonderful with sending updates. When it came to the wedding weekend, everything was effortless. The wedding party, family, and other hotel guests were taken care of.

We had our ceremony in the park pavilion, which is the beautiful tent in the back of the hotel, and the reception in the ballroom. There were about 200 people at our wedding and space was perfect. There are so many places on the hotel grounds and in close surrounding areas for beautiful photos. One of the main things I wanted in a venue was kinda of a "one stop shop" and the Royal Park Hotel definitely accomplished that. Guests moved from the ceremony to cocktail hour in the lobby to dinner and partying in the ballroom - all was very easy.

If you're really looking for a beautiful place with wonderful staff for your wedding, this is it!

We recently held an intimate wedding in the conservatory at the Royal Park Hotel, and we appreciate everything Kathleen, Joe, & the rest of the hotel staff did to make our day go perfectly! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding there, and we highly recommend it to anyone who is searching for a wedding venue!

Extremely attentive from the moment I checked in until check out. Extremely efficient and ahead of the game. All was beautiful and elegant.

Example I had two staff members setting up my room upon arrival on chairs hanging my dress in front of the tall window so the light shined through and made it magical. Placing my luggage on rack in closet seting toiletries in bath etc.

I can't even begin to put into words how AMAZING everything was at the Royal Park. I can't speak enough how amazing everything was from Kathleen the coordinator, the communication, the professionalism, customer service, coordination leading up to and the day of, all the way down to the bell hop! From the day I contacted the Royal Park all the way to when I was walking out the day after my wedding, I felt I was cared for and taken care of. Kathleen does an amazing job and we had Greg in the ballroom helping coordinate the day of and he was AMAZING. He went out of his way for so many things that were not asked of him that were so appreciative. He went to get the grandparents more comfortable seats, he noticed we didn't get to eat our late night snack and had it boxed up for us in our room waiting, and was by our side the entire night. The conservatory is too gorgeous for you to not be married in, I HIGHLY recommend this venue to everyone! -Ashley E

Originally my husband and I were going to have our wedding up north in Traverse City, but our first meeting up there went so bad we decided to do it closer to home. We live near the Royal Park Hotel so we decided to check them out first. Our first meeting went so well we decided not to look any further! All of our questions were answered before we could even ask. They were so great to deal with and the day went off without any problems! We had a small wedding with both our ceremony and reception in their conservatory and it was absolutely stunning! We received so many compliments about how beautiful it was and how attentive the staff was! It was amazing!

Our Wedding and Reception was the most beautiful wedding I've ever been too... And not just because it was our wedding, it's because it's the truth. The Royal Park is the most beautiful and posh hotel in Michigan. The staff was incredible and my wedding coordinator Kathleen made our process easy and she made sure my vision came together with perfection! I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone planning a timeless and beautiful wedding... Worth every penny!

If you want exceptional service, the most beautiful venue and the best delicious food in all of Metro Detroit, book your wedding at The Royal Park Hotel. We had our ceremony and reception in the conservatory, and almost a year later, people are still talking about how beautiful it was. The food - Amazing. Kathleen, our coordinator - No words to describe how incredible and knowledgeable she is. The entire staff treated us like royalty and really made our day special. I can not say enough wonderful things about the whole experience with them.

I walked into the conservatory at the Royal Park and just knew that is where we had to get married! The hotel is beautiful! Janet, the coordinator, is so great to work with. She answered all my many questions as we were planning and made me feel virtually stress free. On the day of the wedding everything went perfectly and our guests are still raving about the food. They really go above and beyond with their customer service to make your day go as flawlessly as possible. I look forward to dining there on our anniversary :)

The most amazing setting for my wedding and reception! We held the entire event in the conservatory...about 100 people and it was a packed party all night. Being on the setting with a creek and grounds made for the most amazing wedding photos ever!

Had our wedding here and absolutely loved it! Janet was amazing to work with and made the planning process such a breeze! People still talk about how gorgeous the venue was at our wedding and of course how DELICIOUS the food was! Highly Recommend having your events here! Its the best!

We used this hotel for both the ceremony and reception.The conservatory was beautiful and at a perfect temperature for a June wedding in Michigan.The reeption was exceptional.The food was delicious and their staff is very professional and friendly.Janet,our coordinator was so much help and fun to work with.Best experience ever!

We were so happy we decided to use Royal Park Hotel for our accommodations for the wedding and wedding guests. They ended up up-grading bride/groom to a bigger suite, which was much appreciated. The hotel is high quality, great views of Paint Creek, and not far from downtown Rochester. We were so impressed with the hotel staff and rooms! Brookshire Restaurant was a great choice for post-wedding brunch the next days as well - superb food!

We had our 60 guest wedding ceremony and reception in the Glass Conservatory at the Royal Park Hotel. What an experience! It was honestly the most beautiful space I have ever been in for a wedding. Absolutely gorgeous and everyone was a pleasure to work with. From the venue wedding coordinator to the service staff - everyone was on top of their game and gave us a fantastic wedding.
The bridal suite was gorgeous and our service was amazing. The food was out of this world and their midnight snack and bar service was grade A. I am so thankful to have had these guys as our wedding venue. We came all the way back from NYC so we could have a gorgeous wedding at the Royal Park Hotel.

The Royal Park Hotel was an absolutely divine location for me and my husband's reception. The service was five star and the food was delicious. Our guests went on and on about how much they loved the hotel and the food and the service. Our hotel coordinator Kathleen was great. It isn't the least expensive option. But it was worth every penny. That is why we booked this place for our wedding on September 21, 2013 so that we would have no worries and I'm glad we did! From the moment the door man opened the door for us, I knew this was the perfect place. And the surroundings of downtown Rochester could not be more serene and picturesque. There is plenty to do but you won't want to do anything but stay in the hotel because it's gorgeous! The pond is perfect for a close walk. They even have a library

Beyond just a beautiful venue, the people that work there go over and beyond! Our wedding was perfect in every way- rave reviews on food, service, beautiful hotel rooms and amenities. Kathleen Reid was our contact person there and she was 100% responsive, she addressed every detail- large and small. HIGHLY recommend!!!

OUR DREAM WEDDING...beyond our wildest dreams!!! The Royal Park Hotel offered everything we were looking for and more: luxury accommodations, a beautiful setting, elegant amenities, a sophisticated menu, and the incredible convenience of having our reception immediately following the ceremony. Our guests were greeted with glasses of champagne after our ceremony as they walked out of the gorgeous glass conservatory on-site and into our cocktail hour- True Royalty!!

Janet is AMAZING!! We planned our wedding from out-of-state and she made the entire process so easy (and fun!). A quick phone call here and a few fast emails there, she was so attentive to ensure our day was beyond perfection. Every step of the planning process was an experience to remember from the initial walk through of the grounds to the incredible tasting that was coordinated just for us and our parents. The entire hotel staff was so accommodating with our frequent hotel room list requests and so respectful to our guests during their stay. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt special that weekend.

There was not one detail that went unnoticed and if there was, Janet was excited to recommend cool and unique ideas for us to consider. Together, we managed to create an experience that was so elegant and sophisticated, but also so fun and enjoyable for our guests of all ages. One of the many favorites was the late-night snack of ‘Arby’s’ Janet and her Chefs recreated for us: full on with roast beef sliders and seasoned curly fries – just like the real thing, only better! Our friends and family are still talking about how creative and tasty all the food was. A huge compliment considering the room was full of self-proclaimed foodies from NYC!

We could not be happier with our decision to host our wedding at the RPH. It was by far the best wedding we have ever been to…and the even better part is, it was OURS!

We had our wedding at The Royal Park Hotel in Rochester and were thrilled with how everything turned out. We worked with Kathleen Reid at the hotel on all of the details and she was AMAZING - very responsive, great attention to detail, and made sure everything came together exactly how we wanted. The conservatory, hotel suites, restaurant, etc. were all top notch and the service was impeccable! I would recommend The Royal Park Hotel to anyone searching for a gorgeous location, fabulous service and sophisticated elegance.

The event could not have been better. It completely met our expectations. The staff including the banquet sales person Kathleen, the banquet captain Jarrod, and every hotel employee from the desk to housekeeping provided impeccable service.

This place was my number one choice for my wedding venue and it was perfection. The food was delicious, the venus was stunning. The service was flawless. The glass atrium for the ceremony was breathtaking. We didn't even decorate in there the room is that gorgeous all on its own. Janet was a our contact person and she was awesome, she answered all my questions and her enthusiasm was infectious. The bridal suite was ridiculously nice.

I had my wedding at the Royal Park Hotel on May 26th which included the ceremony and reciption. The staff made everything so easy on me. They took care of the step up, break down, the vendors, storing our supplies, etc. I didn't have to worry about anything!!
When my photographer for got to bring back my vase after taking pictures off my bouque one of the coordinators from the hotel took a vase from her own desk to make sure my flowers stayed in water. When my sister in law needed bobbypins the concierge ran to the store to get her some in 10 minutes.
The staff, food, service was AMAZING. I know it's a little expensive but I promise it's worth the money
My husband and I have decided to go back to the Royal Park every year for our anniversary.

Our reception was held at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester - in the ballroom. Aside from the hotel being absolutely beautiful, the staff was outstanding throughout the evening. The food was so good that we kept getting compliments all night.

Even thgouh the prices are a bit higher than other venues, the service and atmosphere made it completely worth it. I would definitely recommend the Royal Park.

We stayed here for our wedding night. What a beautiful hotel!! We had a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed and a large room with a terrace!! Once we got to the hotel, we put out our breakfast room service door hanger and passed out. Our morning was amazing, they served our breakfast on the terrace and the food was delicious! The day after our wedding was blissfully wonderful!

I can't say enough great things about the Royal Park Hotel and how happy we are to have had our wedding reception there. First of all, the hotel is absolutely first class, and the entire wedding felt like a top notch event. The service was outstanding, the food was incredible and memoriable. Many of our guests said that they have never been at a wedding with such great service. The timing went off perfect. We also loved working with Janet, we even had a private food tasting with multiple glasses of wine, appetizers, meals, and desert! The night of the wedding we had a complimentary hotel room (an amazing suite overlooking the creek). Many people said they felt like they were at a ritzy hotel in New York City. Our best decision was going with the Royal Park.

The most elegant hotel in Michigan - this place was absolutely gorgeous - inside and out. Janet was so easy to work with, the waitstaff was amazing, the service was perfect and the food was absolutely out of this world. Our reception was in the glass conservatory and the room absolutely sparkled. The bartender made the drinks very generously and was very attentive to guests needs. I would recommend this place again and again - and I still frequently go there for wine events and dinner, and just to walk the beautiful grounds.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my showers and our reception at this hotel! They were so easy to work with! White glove service all the way. The staff works very hard to make sure you and your guests feel honored to be there! You cannot go wrong with the Royal Park! The food was phenomenal!

Amazing! Thats the word I kept hearing from my guests throughout the night about the food, the service, and the atmosphere at the Royal Park Hotel. It was one of the only places I was considering for my Wedding Reception because I wanted something completely my own... Not just another banquet hall type place that i have attended so many weddings at. The staff at Royal Park, especially Kathleen Reid were exceptional and helped me through the whole process as a bride!

Weddings can be so stressful to plan. However working with Janet at the Royal Park was such a gift. She was very assertive and efficient in carrying out all of our requests, and making sure everything was to our liking prior to our event. The food was excellent and the service was first class. I come from a family of tough critics and were all so pleased with how our wedding turned out. All our our guests had wonderful things to say about the hotel and catering staff. The Royal Park was the perfect venue for a wedding! My husband and I both highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a seamless wedding day!

We had our small wedding "reception" - just dinner there on a weeknight in August. We had about a dozen guests. Dinner was superb and service was great. Only issues were that one of the valet attendants was fairly abrupt with one of our guests and we had quite a bit of phone tag back in forth about the cake - we had to reconfirm the order several times - this was frustrating because it was a simple order that we never changed. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We stayed overnight at the hotel as well - and the room was 5 star. Everyone had a great time at our event, and we plan to visit often for dinner.

The Royal Park was a great venue for my wedding. The staff was very professional and the space was beautiful, especially the conservatory where I had my ceremony.

Our manager (Elizabeth Gray) for our wedding event was extremely helpful. The hotel is extremely beautiful and the food was fabulous.

Absolutely beautiful venue for any ceremony!! Wide open conservatory leaves for any creative idea you want to put together. Big open windows bring in sunshine nice and the air conditioning keeps the room cool! Beautiful venue and great managers for all coordinating!!

We had an incredibly beautiful ceremony at the Royal Park Hotel. The Hotel is an incredible backdrop for a wedding - the whole place, from the Conservatory (where we were married) to the rooms to the HALLWAYS made for gorgeous photos. I only have the slightest complaint: first of all, the hotel was not super flexible about the rehearsal time, which ended up being 2:00pm the day before the wedding. The early time made it difficult for several members of the wedding party to make it, and therefore they missed the rehearsal. However, I completely understand this to a point, as it is a hotel and not just a venue, and other events constantly go on in the Conservatory. All in all, an incredible venue, and I would not have changed a thing!

You get what you pay for. All of our wedding guests said that the ceremony and reception at the Royal Park exceeded their expectations! Everything is really expensive but you only get the best of the best.

We had an intimate wedding and reception in the conservatory.
On the day of our wedding everything ran very smooth as far as I was aware. Great food and the "captain" for the evening was excellent!
That being said, don't expect to work with the same person throughout the entire process which I found a bit stressful but overall I was very happy with the event!

All the guests loved the Conservatory for the ceremony. The location is so beautiful on its own that only minimal decorations were needed. Also, the hotel staff took great care of guests staying at the hotel.

Our reception was in one of the ballrooms. We had a sit-down dinner. Guests loved the food. No complaints except for maybe the ridiculously outrageous "21% service fee" not gratuity they charge on EVERYTHING -- including room rentals.

We had our ceremony and reception at Royal Park and it was lovely. The food was amazing and everyone was impressed. However I was really disappointed in the many errors that occurred. Our main entree beef was not what we selected so either Royal Park made a mistake or they substituted without letting us know. It defeated the purpose of us having to drive the hour to do a menu tasting (which we paid full price for). Secondly, I worked with them back on forth to come up with a gobo we liked and they confirmed it could be ordered, however the light gobo they projected was an earlier version and not the one we final approved. Lastly, we had our names spelled out with chocolate sauce and our wedding date on our cake plates and they misspelled my name so my photographer was scraping off the "E" with her nail. I just thought for the price and based on other reviews I could expect flawless execution of the details but that wasn't the case. Although working with everyone there was fine, based on the many let downs I don't think Ill host any further events there. The complimentary room and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne was a nice touch but I would have much rather had my expectations met on what I specified for the day. I am truly disappointed I wasn't able to leave a 5 star review.

Beautiful venue, the conservatory is gorgeous.

The event coordinator was nice but we always felt rushed, not fully taken care of, had to repeat ourselves many times on things we wanted and didn’t want. Seeking clarification was a hassle because coordinator was difficult to reach.

Ensure to read the fine lines and negotiate as much as you can because they will squeeze every cent out of you.

This venue is really pretty but the staff is what I wasn't happy with. There was an issue we had over the weekend and they kept coming and bothering my mom about it and instead of working with the vendor they added stress to our day. Weddings are already a high stress event and they should go tell their manager for the room not come and bother us and point out issues but instead fix them. Also they took the liberty of adding an item from my vendor that I didn't request and didn't even get an approval for. The staff picked and chose what they felt they should tell us I guess?
