Rothchild catering was great for our wedding! We had a full service cocktail and the apps we picked were amazing! During dinner, the servers were quick and professional. So many guests told us how great the food was the whole day! The servers even packed up 2 huge take home boxes for us to eat the next day. We’d recommend them for anyone's wedding! -

Food was one of the most important aspects of our wedding and Rothchild’s nailed it! It was very easy to schedule a tasting and the fee for the tasting was taken off our final bill. The staff was incredible. They were professional, helpful, well timed, well dressed, and attentive. We even had one staff member come up to us asking if we needed more of anything off the buffet. The food was so good! Everything was fresh and hot and they ensured we had our meals immediately when we sat down at the head table. We got so many compliments on the food during and after the wedding! When we returned to our AirBnB, we even discovered a huge amount of leftovers had been set aside for us to enjoy later. We had that the next night and it was still great reheated! -

I’ve worked with Rothchild multiple times as a coordinator, so I was super confident hiring them for my wedding! They were incredible, and the food was delicious! Everyone was raving about how good the food was. They were even super accommodating when I had to add a surprise vegetarian meal the day before the wedding! Before the wedding, my mom was a bit hesitant about my choosing roast beef, but she hasn’t stopped talking about how delicious it was! In her words, “I could cut it with my fork!” Thank you so much, Rothchild! -

We went with the backyard bbq dinner at Marblegate Farm and it couldn’t have been a better fit. The food was delicious and served warm. The servers were excellent. The delivery and cleanup was quick and painless. We’re so grateful for the wonderful meal and received many compliments from our guests as well! I would definitely recommend rothchild catering and rentals! -

Rothchild catered our wedding and we are so happy that we got to work with them. They were very flexible in terms of implementing our ideas, and our wedding reception ran super smoothly. We especially appreciated the staff preparing dinner plates for my husband and I to make sure we got to try all the excellent food. We had multiple guests say afterwards it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and we have to agree! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a caterer in the Knoxville area! -

We had Rothchild cater both our rehearsal dinner and wedding dinner and “wow” is an understatement! The food was the best catering I have ever had. The portions were incredible and the service was great. We had so many guests tell us how good the food was and how they went back for seconds. We will be using Rothchild anytime we ever need anything catered. -

Rothchild was the perfect catering choice for our low-key wedding! We wanted some fun and easy food choices, so we decided to go with a taco and nacho bar. It was incredibly affordable and turned out so delicious and cute! They went above and beyond, even creating a little taco bar at our sweetheart table for us to grab a bite to eat between songs and mingling. I’m so glad I chose Rothchild Catering! -

Susan is amazing! She made everything so easy and seamless even during all the craziness of changes due to COVID. I didn’t have to ask for a single thing on my wedding day because she was already on top of it and supplying whatever I needed before I even knew I needed it. -

My experience was nothing short of exceptional. From planning the wedding to our big day; I couldn't have asked for a better team to make my special day truly magical. Susan was professional & kind. When I got stressed out at times, Susan knew exactly what to say to help calm me down. She gave the BEST advice on the execution of all our ideas and wishes. She knew what would work and what wouldn't. She politely helped guide me in the right direction on every decision that needed to be made. Not to mention her entire staff was beyond professional and went above and beyond to make sure our guests received the best service. The food was DELICIOUS.. by far the best catering you can find in Knoxville. Between the immaculate service, beautiful space, incredible staff and delectable food/cake, it is no wonder they have been one of the top in the industry for so long. I HIGHLY recommend choosing Rothchild's for your wedding. You will NOT feel like " just another customer", for more business. You will feel like the most special and valued person that has ever walked through their doors. It is a family run business and they truly make you feel like family. -

Working with Rothchild was easy and they were very accommodating throughout the process. (I changed my mind a few times on food selection!) The food was delicious and our guests raved about it!! We did a buffet style with a burger bar. I wish I could tell you more about the presentation of dinner, but I did not get to see the set up because Rothchild had servers that brought our food to us at the head table! Our wedding felt like it went by so quick but dinner was one of my favorite times. Everything slowed down for my husband and I as we got to sit back and relax and enjoy the good food! After dinner, Rothchild boxes the food for you to take home & unfortunately we were missing a few boxes. I was really upset the next day because one of the boxes we were missing had the baked ziti in it and I was excited to get another taste (it was my favorite!!) I emailed the company to try and figure out what happened and just to express my frustration. We are still not sure what happened to some of the leftovers, but Susan answered my emails quickly and professionally and with great care. 100% recommend. -
Megan Sent on 10/27/2017Susan Rothchild is an absolute angel. Both my Rehearsal and Wedding meals were some of the best food I have ever put into my mouth. I had my wedding at the Knoxville Zoo and wasn't exactly thrilled with their preferred caterers so we decided to do taste tests elsewhere. My fiance and I are from Nashville so we planned to meet with Susan and sample the menu; we scheduled it and made our trip, THEN SHOWED UP AN HOUR LATE BECAUSE OF THE TIME CHANGE. How embarrassing!! Susan (and her staff) handled it like champs, and served us some of the best food I've ever tried! We were blown away, and knew we wanted to work with her after the first course!
We emailed menus back and forth and she made the whole process extremely easy. We were able to work closely with Tom and Jack who we adore as well, and I cannot tell you how excited our guests were to just read the menu when they sat down!
We even ran into a couple of hiccups on the venue end on our 1 month walk through (that Susan and Jack attended with us) as we were not able to have specific foods in specific areas due to the animals (no meat near the tigers)- Susan and Jack were able to provide alternatives and work with the venue to create flawless solutions.
Again, I cannot stress how amazing this team was. I had mismatched china, and they provided gold rimmed plates for anyone who needed seconds. We found out our rental company did not have enough of the same color napkins for all of our guests maybe 2 weeks out and RC provided them for us! The buffet was discreetly broken down after dinner, and they even assisted with the cake cutting. Everything was SO perfect, and SO easy to plan from afar. Everything was exactly as promised, if not better, and we are still receiving complements on not only the food, but the service! My guests literally have selfies with Tom (the chef) either from the pasta station during the RD, or carving the beef at the wedding. How fun!? I would book them again in a heartbeat!! -

Lucy Sent on 06/12/2012Rothchild's service was impecable and their food was to die for! I wish I had their recipes! I had so many compliments on the food that I cannot even recall them all. It seems every time I spoke to someone they were complimenting the food. The cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. We had several special requests in regards to the cake and they met every single request without a moments hesitation. You can't go wrong with Rothchild's! -

Everyone commented on how great the food was and how elegant it all looked!! The staff and Kasey were terrific. Would definitely recommend them!! We were very pleased!! -

I planned my wedding from overseas so I was a little nervous about anything food related, but this team put all my worries at ease! Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food from our September wedding was.
My only note is that we were supposed to have a bride + groom box set aside for us to eat later, which was left out, but not the end of the world. -

The food was delicious and the staff was really friendly and they were flexible with our requests! The only issue was the fact that we ordered a cake cutting service (because we ordered a cake outside of Rothchild) which stated that it came with plates, forks, napkins, and cake cutting but there was confusion with the paperwork that the staff had when they showed up to the venue and they only brought the cake plates. Our coordinator contacted Rothchild, and they told her that the charge was specifically for the plates, yet our contract said it came with what was stated above, and they did not contact us to apologize or anything. Plus, we had confusion with the payment, and we have no idea what happened because the bank said they tried to take the check out twice, and there was money, so they didn’t know what happened. Things happen like that, so we just immediately paid with a card instead! They still charged us a check return fee of $50, which that does not cost them anything...it cost us that from the bank on top of their fee! So, our perfect day just ended up being a little bit more stressful because of this and the fact the staff and our coordinator took forks from the venue without even asking, even after we paid the money for all of this! The staff said there was confusion, yet did not apologize for it or even fix the fact that they kinda messed up! I do not blame the staff for any of this, though I feel they should have called their boss and explained the situation. We had a very small wedding, less than 30 people! Would I recommend? More than likely because the food is delicious, yet it did stress us out quite a bit the day before and day of, especially because of the above stated and the fact we did not receive our linens that we ordered! -

We enjoyed the food from Rothchild but it was definitely not anything special. We wanted to go with a different catering company but we fell in love with Dara's Garden so we decided Rothchild would work even though it was definitely not our first choice. Like I said, the food from Rothchild is good it's just not exceptional. They did a good job and we did not have any issues so I would recommend them. The staff was professional and polite and the guests enjoyed the food so I do not have anything bad to say about them. -

Honestly the food and service was delicious. However, I was assured the food would be left behind when they left (they were scheduled to leave the venue well before the wedding ended) but when we went to get the food later in the evening, we were told the caterer packed it up and took it. We were really disappointed by that because our whole wedding party were staying in one cabin and we were going to eat that throughout the wedding, and have any left overs for midnight snacks and such. Oh well.
Good was great though! Just make sure to talk with the servers and remind them about about it before they go, I guess. -

This catering company served the wrong appetizers at my wedding. When we questioned the staff about the mix up they said that they accidentally switched our food with another wedding. They had to go to another venue to switch the food, to ensure our entrees were correct. With this error the food was served over an hour late cutting into reception time. The food was good, however, there was no communication after the error, or any offer to right the wrong.
