Our wedding at Rock Island Lake Club was nothing short of perfect. This venue truly has it all. It is stunning, impeccably organized, and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and I would choose this place 10 times out of 10.
The grounds are filled with picture perfect spots, from the whimsical swing tucked away in the woods to the serene dock where we had our first look. These settings made for unforgettable moments and breathtaking photos. And the uplighting inside? An absolute must do. It transformed the room into something straight out of a dream.
A few honorable mentions: our wedding coordinator, Stephanie, and my wife’s personal confidant, Abby, were absolute rockstars. Not only did they make sure we always had fresh drinks in hand, but they kept reassuring us that we were perfectly on time and they made sure of it. Jill was also a huge help. When the day turned out to be hotter than expected, she made sure we had fans right away.
This venue runs like a well oiled machine. Everything was seamless, and they truly made our day magical. There were even a few behind the scenes moments I did not learn about until later. For example, when one of our guests accidentally cut their hand on glass, the staff immediately went into “medical mode” and took care of them so discreetly that I had no idea it even happened until after the wedding. That guest later told us the wedding staff took better care of them than the urgent care did the next day.
From start to finish, Rock Island Lake Club exceeded every expectation and helped create memories I will cherish for a lifetime.

Best Day Ever
100000% this was our best decision ever. Our day at Rock Island Lake Club was truly one of the best days of our lives. From the moment we booked- they were extremely responsive and accommodating. Elaine was our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond to make us feel special and answer any of our questions. On the big day the team TRULY came through. The bridal attendant, Marissa, was literally an absolute gem. She made all our bridesmaids feel welcome and anything that I needed... she was there in a heartbeat. She held my dress, powdered my nose, fixed my makeup, got me chicken fingers when I hadn't eaten in a while- she was just absolutely on point. Jill was the flood manager at our wedding and she killed it. our seats always had a cold beverage and she made she everything was organized. The whole team at Rock Island is amazing BUT ALSO the food was unbelievable. People rave about it still and we loved everything we ate. Wish I could get married again just to get married here one more time!

Best Wedding Venue in NJ!!
We had the perfect wedding, and it was all thanks to the wonderful staff at Rock Island. The staff was incredibly attentive, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we asked for, and as we imagined. They made the wedding planning process so easy, I did not feel I ever needed a wedding planner. Our number one requirement was "lots of good food" and Rock Island did not disappoint. The food quality is excellent and plentiful! Our guests have not stopped talking about amazing cocktail hour, and the breathtaking views. Rock Island is the perfect all-in-one location for a beautiful wedding!!

Rock island is incredible!
You have to book your wedding at Rock Island!! My husband and I just got married there 5/12/24 and it was the most incredible day and night ever, thanks to the fantastic staff at Rock Island. Throughout the entire wedding process, Elaine, our coordinator, was attentive and communicative -- she answered all of our questions (and we had many!!) in a timely fashion and with the utmost professionalism. On the day of, both myself and my husband had attendants - his was Robby and mine was Stephanie. I don't think I could thank them enough. Stephanie was SO lovely -- she brought us food in the suite, hyped us up, and during pictures, she fluffed my dress, held my bouquet, and when it got cold, she put a blanket around me! It was amazing to have someone by my side all day who was so helpful and attentive. Also, the food in the suites was INCREDIBLE and just what we needed throughout the day!!
Now onto the evening itself. The staff at Rock Island ran everything so smoothly from start to finish. It was clear that they all have a ton of experience in this area because there were absolutely no hiccups at all. Our guests were raving about how seamlessly everything went throughout the night, and how all of the staff were kind, professional, and attentive - from valet to servers, all the staff was fantastic.
The venue itself is stunning. The lake views are breathtaking and the upgrades around the venue make it such a beautiful place; throughout the night, our guests constantly came up to us and said "this place is gorgeous" and "how did you find such a gem?!" And the food -- was nothing short of perfect!! They have so many options and all of it is fantastic. Cocktail hour is 90 minutes which allows guests to get a good taste of everything that's offered.
We cannot thank the staff at Rock Island enough. They set up our decor beautifully, communicated with us well, ran the day and night smoothly, and made our wedding the best day of our lives.

Winter Wonderland Wedding
Rock Island was the absolute best decision my husband and I made!!! The venue is GORGEOUS and the staff is so incredibly kind! The communication leading up to the wedding was so helpful and detail-oriented, which allowed everything to happen exactly as planned, and allowed for stress-free wedding planning (a huge plus!!!)! During our details meeting a few days prior to the wedding, we were able to drop off all decor and the staff went through each box with us so they knew EXACTLY where we wanted everything to go. Their attention to detail to make every wedding unique and perfect is obvious and very much appreciated. On the day of, the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. I was taking photos outside in the snow for an hour, and upon coming inside, they had blankets, hand/feet warmers, and hot chocolate ready for me! They took care of my husband and I all night - making sure that we were having a great time and had everything that we needed. The food was fantastic, and our guests still can't stop talking about how delicious it all was, especially the cocktail hour. And, everyone LOVED the separate dessert room, which was FILLED with sweets galore!! I cannot thank each and every one of them enough for helping to make our wedding an absolute DREAM!!!

Without a doubt, best place in NJ to get married
Our experience getting married at Rock Island was nothing short of perfect. From the first time we toured, through all of our meetings, and the day itself, we always felt taken care of. The staff at RILC are truly one of a kind. They go above and beyond in making sure your questions are answered and your needs are met. Stephanie in the bridal suite and Matthew in the groom's lounge are exactly who you want helping you on your wedding day. They were friendly, information, kind, funny, and always made sure we had what we needed! We did go through multiple coordinators, but each one picked up where the last left off. I never felt like anything slipped through the cracks. We have a lot of allergies ourself, and not only were they able to accommodate, but they answered each and every one of my (endless) questions in detail. The venue itself is pristine, the cocktail hour is truly the best around (both in taste and getting your money's worth), and the vibes are exactly what we wanted on our wedding day. If you have any questions about whether it is worth it to get married at Rock Island, we'd say don't hesitate! They truly know what they are doing, they truly care about their coupes, and there's a reason why their calendar is often booked up. Only Choice to Pick
We just got married at Rock Island on Friday and it was the best deicision we could have made. Not only is the place beautiful but the entire team from top to bottom was amazing. They were so professional, responsive and made sure every detail was perfect. When I first got engaged, I just wanted to elope and not have a big wedding, but I am so happy I was talked out of it. Every single guest has reached back out already and can't stop talking about the venue, especially the food. I can't imagine having my wedding any other way, at any other place besides Rock Island. It really is the best and only choice.

Exceptional Wedding Venue
My husband and I got married at Rock Island this past Saturday and we had the most amazing experience! The venue is stunning and the food was beyond amazing. We have received so many compliments from our guests being impressed with the venue. But by far the most amazing thing is the caring and attentive staff. All the planning staff were so responsive and helpful. The two bridal attendants that were with us for the day were calm, quick, and perceptive. Everyone we encountered throughout the day was positive and wonderful and really helped keep me calm when there was so much going on. We recommend Rock Island so highly to anyone looking for a venue that is has natural beauty, amazing food and drinks, and great service. Thanks to everyone there for making our wedding amazing!

The Perfect Venue
This venue is seriously amazing. I mean first and foremost, it is stunning. We lucked out with great weather and we were able to take pictures and have our ceremony out on the lake. The food was shockingly good. I’d heard good reviews but we weren’t that impressed at the tasting so we were a bit nervous. Every bite of food I managed to eat that night was delicious. And everything that was left on my plate got wrapped up and sent home with us. Which turned out to be a lot of food, because they ended up giving me a “sampler” for my entree which really meant that they gave me all 5 entree choices.
But it was the staff that made our day so amazing. Our coordinator Amanda communicated with me and guided me from the moment we signed our contract. She worked with my bridal attendant that day to make sure that every detail and everything we discussed went perfectly. My bridal attendant was around all day making sure we were fed and comfortable and that our dresses and my veil were all properly steamed. Any tiny thing we needed, someone took care of it. My mom wanted to change out of her heels before the reception but her flip flops were in the bridal suite so someone went running to get them. My husband left his sunglasses on so my attendant is on the headset getting someone to grab those for pictures. We needed water while we were taking pictures and they radioed in and sent out two water bottles, one with a straw in it so I wouldn’t ruin my makeup. My maitre d finds my MOH struggling with my bustle and she swoops in and gets the whole thing up and good to go in a snap. I dropped a fork with some cake on it and a little chocolate got on my dress and the server standing next to me put down the plate she was carrying and got down there with a napkin and a glass of water to make sure it wouldn’t stain. I went into the dessert lounge to grab some dessert and my maitre d comes up to me and says don’t worry, we’re making you a plate. Next thing I see there’s a giant platter with 2 of every dessert from the viennese style dessert lounge and 2 giant pieces of cake heading its way to our table. Someone even remembered to make us a s’more from the bonfire outside. There was always a fresh drink available for me.

Dream Wedding
Rock Island Lake Club is amazing - they made wedding planning a breeze. From the moment we booked, they did not disappointment. Amanda R. was fabulous to work with and was consistently kind, professional and prompt in all our our communications. The day of, she was extremely helpful - from helping my mom and bridesmaids with my bustle to solving an issue with our shuttle buses. Amanda and the entire Rock Island team made sure I never had anything to worry about on my big day.
The venue itself is beautiful - it’s elegant without being overly formal, exactly what my husband and I were looking for in a wedding venue. The food was excellent and our guests can’t stop talking about it. Jillian and her team were so attentive to us - we never even needed to ask for another drink or anything. Our wedding was so wonderful, and I can’t thank the Rock Island team enough!

Felt Like a Dream...
In the marathon that is wedding planning today, we cannot thank Rock Island Lake Club enough. When we began planning our wedding we were focused on only two components; rustic and home'y in nature and amazing food. Our needs were exceeded beyond all expectations with Rock Island. From the moment we walked through the doors to tour the building we felt like we were home. The kindness and the support of the staff is unmatched. There are so many aspects to touch on... the amazing staff, the beautiful venue and grounds, the DELICIOUS food, the endless options to make your reception truly yours... there isn't time enough to accurately describe how great all of these things are at Rock Island. Our guests have been raving non stop about our venue, the staff, the food, etc. etc. We cannot recommend them enough and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our wedding as amazing as it was.

An Absolute Dream
My husband and I fell in love with Rock Island the moment we walked through the doors. The venue is so beautiful and so unique with an incredible balance of indoor and outdoor space. From our first interactions with the staff at Rock Island all the way through until the end of the wedding day (and even afterwards!), we felt that each person we met was genuinely hoping to help make our wedding day the best day ever. They did not disappoint. Becca (event coordinator) is the most incredible human and communicated so kindly, professionally, and promptly throughout the entire process. We also want to make mention of Billie (bridal attendant), Amanda (event coordinator), and Jillian (maitre d’). Each and every one of them was lovely and played an important part in making our wedding day such a success. Our guests have not stopped raving over the cocktail hour, the beautiful venue, and the attentiveness and kindness of the staff at Rock Island. So many of our guests have told us that it’s the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and (obviously!) we’d have to agree. Our wedding day was an absolute dream and we wish we could do it over and over and over. Rock Island Lake Club is THE best and we’ll never run out of wonderful things to say about them.

Rock Island Lake Club.... You have our heart! I cant even. This venue is absolutely stunning and not to mention, so welcoming. The atmosphere and calming effect made us choose you instantly. Couldn't Have Dreamt Up A Better Day...
I got married back in May and am still reminiscing and mentally replaying the entire day in my head. The entire day ran so smoothly. The entire staff at RILC is calming, extremely helpful and really does everything they possibly can to make the bride feel special and at ease. I got ready at the venue and they constantly checked in to make sure we were okay. There was always someone by my side as I moved around taking photos during our first look, and someone from the staff even helped bustle me after the ceremony.
The feedback we got from our guests was INCREDIBLE! So many people raved about the view and the extraordinary cocktail hour. Rock Island truly gives you a wedding without the traditional wedding stiffness and thats just what we were hoping for. The entire event was relaxed and felt like a home the whole day we were there.
Rock Island worked with us; May 2021 was our third wedding date they did all they could to accommodate us during the craziness of everything. Me and my husband went there so many times for a final meeting that it's weird to think we no longer will be going there anymore! But we will miss it. And we are so happy we get to remember our special day so fondly for the rest of our days.

Our wedding day couldn’t have been better
Rock island was exactly what me and my husband were looking for when we were looking around for a venue. This might sound ridiculous but the one thing on my do not want list was carpet, so that was the first reason we even went to go check it out. I truly cannot express how perfect our wedding day was. Every single person was professional, attentive and overall fantastic. We were hoping for our ceremony to be outside but unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side, but they were able to set up the most beautiful ceremony space inside. It totally exceeded any expectations I had and ended up feeling so much more intimate. I can’t even put into words with how happy I have been my whole wedding planning process. Highly highly recommend them.

A dream come true
Wow...just wow. Honestly could have not asked for a more PERFECT day. Rock Island is honestly outstanding in every aspect. I wish I can go back and do this day over and over again. I don’t even know where to begin but Becca and Jillian were heaven sent! Becca was so responsive throughout the entire process, including the postponement, and never once made us feel like we were a bother with questions. She was an essential part of our planning process and I trusted her FULLY! Her bubbly personality never once made me feel an ounce of stress, and I am so thankful for that! She is so efficient and organized. She was with us for most of our wedding day and made sure every vision I had in mind came to life.
My bridal attendant Kylie was also so sweet and so attentive and made it known she was there to make my life easier anyway she could. Holding my veil, my bouquet, getting us drinks and answering questions in the bridal suite while we all got ready...she was awesome!
Jillian was with us all day at our wedding and she was constantly checking up on us to make sure everything was going great and if we needed anything, we always had a drink, we were always eating, and to make sure we were getting the most out of our experience.
The food was INCREDIBLE! All of our guests were talking about how delicious everything was. I hope I can come back as a guest one day so I can eat everything, and even so, we were able to eat because they made sure we had food from cocktail hour waiting for us in the Grooms suite after the ceremony so we can eat before going to greet our guests. They also refilled those plates throughout cocktail hour. It was such a thoughtful touch. Becca and Jillian greeted us after walking down the aisle after our ceremony with drinks. Just all the little things made this alresdy amazing experience so much better. We had a s’mores cart and Jillian made sure to go get us some and brought it to us so we could continue dancing and spending time with guests.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Rock Island and everyone involved. The wait staff was so attentive and the bartenders were so fun!!
So many times throughout the night guests would come up and ask me “how did you find this place?” They were all so impressed with how breathtaking the venue was and how amazing the food was. Our wedding day was a little slice of heaven and we can’t thank everyone enough at Rock Island. Thank you for making our wedding dream come true!

Hands Down Best Venue
Where can we even begin with Rock Island? These are some of the best people we had the pleasure of dealing with in planning for our wedding. With these trying times, Becca and Jillian always made sure to ease our nerves. The day of the wedding they were always around making sure that everything was going great and checking in if we need anything! The food, out of this world. We had multiple people come up to us saying how amazing the cocktail hour was, and how delicious their dinners were. We could probably write a book on all of the great things that this team did for us from the day we booked with them, through the day of our wedding. It was so reassuring to see that they genuinely care about each and every one of their couples as if it was their only couple. I would recommend this venue and team to ANYONE looking for a intimate rustic venue for their wedding. We cannot thank Rock Island and their team enough for all that they did to make our day as memorable as possible!

A Beautiful Wedding
Rock Island was one of the first venues that we visited while we started the planning process of our wedding. We fell in love with it immediately. Between the gorgeous reception and cocktail space and the outside area where the ceremony would take place we were amazed. We signed our contract and was ready to start planning. Unfortunately COVID did force us to change our date and Rock Island was accommodating. When our date finally arrived, the staff truly made the day so special even midst a pandemic. I didn't have a care in the world that day because I trusted the staff and they knew how to handle everything. All of our guests felt safe with the precautions in place. The food was exceptional also. Overall I am so happy we kept with having our "big" wedding and thank you to the Rock Island staff for making our day so special!

Above & Beyond Our Expectations
We booked our wedding with Rock Island Lake Club for 9/18/2020. Given COVID, our wedding reception was to be held in a tented outdoor space, lakeside; however, the week of the wedding, the owners offered us to switch our reception to the sister location, Bear Brook Valley, due to expected low temperatures on our wedding day and being in an outdoor space. Bear Brook Valley was newly renovated to allow indoor/outdoor access and increased comfort for our wedding guests. We were initially wary of changing the location of our venue the week-of (due to logistics and fear of guests declining to attend since the reception would no longer be fully outdoors), but we were also concerned about the reception being chilly for our guests the whole night in a tented space. Ultimately, we decided to take the owners up on the offer as we were assured this would be a great option for our guests. We met the owners and Bear Brook staff on 9/17, saw the renovations and incredible space, and were SO excited to host our event at Bear Brook. We had zero doubts that our wedding would be incredible and fully trusted the staff to accommodate our wedding details as originally planned at Rock Island. Even still, they beyond exceeded our expectations on our wedding day. From the very moment our wedding party arrived on 9/18 to the very end of the reception, we were treated like royalty. The service of the entire staff and owners was seamless and top-notch. Our guests had an awesome time and followed up with us the next day about how great the event was. We couldn’t have been happier with how our day went and are so grateful to the owners and staff for having our day run so smoothly. We have been raving about our wedding ever since and encourage couples to trust that the renovations and indoor/outdoor access is a great hit. Our only hope is that we will attend a future wedding at Bear Brook or Rock Island as guests ourselves because we had such an incredible time!

Best. Day. Ever!
I honestly don't know where to begin...the scenic backdrop to our ceremony, the endless cocktail hour AND A HALF, and a fantastic banquet space upstairs made our wedding day the best day of our lives. From our initial meeting, we were blown away at the options to choose from for the cocktail hour, dinner, and bar. We still get compliments on the food from our wedding! The all-included package is honestly the best part, and having Heather as our coordinator made planning the entire day a piece-of-cake. She was quick to respond to emails, and every idea we had she took all of the pieces (photographer, florist, musicians, rehearsal) and put it al together. The day-of, the RILC staff helped us out every moment. Having the bride and groom suites to get ready in at the venue made the morning a lot less stressful! Since they only have one wedding per day, they allowed us to transform the space into our own personalized celebration of "us", which was truly amazing...our guests say that it felt like coming home, which we loved! Mike, the maitre-d, was absolutely fantastic. He ran everything behind-the-scenes to make sure the day went smoothly, while also attending to us and making sure we had everything we needed. Hands down, RILC was the simply the best decision we could've made!

Speechless
Speechless is the only word we can think of right now because Rock Island left us completely in awe. We could cry all over again writing this review. The second we walked into Rock Island and Heather showed us around we knew we had to get married at this absolutely stunning venue. Everything about it is absolutely perfect from the beautiful scenery to the stunning inside.
From the minute we booked Rock Island, Heather and Karly kept In constant contact with us ensuring that every single detail was taken care of and that we would have nothing to worry about come our wedding day. This venue has an incredible amount of weddings every single week, yet they made us feel as if we were the only ones getting married there. Their attention to detail, genuine care and love for you, organization, and understanding, were immeasurable. Each meeting we had with Heather and Karly and the staff made us more and more at ease with our wedding.
Upon getting to Rock Island for our wedding day, we were greeted with smiles, and amazing people ready and willing to do whatever we needed to ensure our day was perfect. Kellie, the bridal attendant is absolutely phenomenal. She made sure that myself and all the girls in the bridal suite were enjoying our time, that we had food to eat, and drinks in our hand. She could not have been more helpful. Throughout the whole day she was holding my dress train to make sure that it didn’t get dirty and followed me around to help me whenever I needed it. She was calm, passionate, dedicated, professional, and all around the most perfect bridal attendant I could have ever asked for!
Mike was beyond words. Mike assured that Greg and I and also our guests were completely happy and satisfied at all times. He set aside good for Greg and I to eat knowing that we would not get much of a chance to eat. While we were eating dinner he continued to check in on us to make sure we ate enough and to get us anything we needed. Mike is incredibly kind, dedicated, passionate, and truly one of the hardest working people we have ever known. By the end of the night he feels like the brother you never had!
Like I said, words can truly not do this venue justice. Their service was immeasurable, their kindness and caring was unexplainable, and their love for each couple that walks through the door is admirable. Rock Island, and all the staff, thank you truly from the bottom of our hearts for the most perfect day we could have ever asked for. It was better than anything we could have ever dreamed of. If you are getting married I cannot recommend this venue enough. After getting married here, I could not see why anyone would get married anywhere else. Rock Island, WE LOVE YOU!!

Unforgettable perfection
I initially fell in love with Rock Island Lake Club from their website alone – the beautiful pictures and insane menu options vaulted it high to the top of our venue list, and once we started visiting venues in person, it was clear nothing was going to top it. The aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for; not a “big Jersey ballroom”, but a gorgeously understated glam-rustic vibe that didn’t need to be hidden behind excessive décor and florals. The new birch arch by the water and the beautiful farmhouse tables in the ballroom are just a few highlights.
The staff was beyond amazing from beginning to end. I told my husband the day before the wedding that there’s no way I would’ve stayed (mostly) sane if we’d booked anywhere else. We visited the venue twice before officially booking, and both times we walked in the place were greeted warmly and offered beverages before the tour began. Once we were under contract, Heather was our main point-of-contact and was an absolute dream to work with. She’ll outline everything the venue needs from you, and as long as you provide it, everything will run smoothly. Our actual wedding day ran like clockwork. I’d purchased the bridal suite upgrade for my bridesmaids, and we spent the morning upstairs with Karly as our wonderful bridal attendant while we had our hair and makeup done (highly recommend the bridal suite package – it made the day stress-free knowing we were there early, with breakfast and lunch taken care of). Jessica and Mike ran the show when it came to the ceremony and reception, and every part of the evening progressed timely and smoothly.
Lastly – the food! The menu options are overwhelming in the best way. The included tasting several months before our wedding was helpful for us to narrow down the options, and was a nice way to get a preview of how the venue manages an event. I appreciated being able to select four or five entrée choices, and the breadth of cocktail hour choices allowed us to easily make sure guests with various dietary restrictions had no issues getting enough food. We capped off the night with the brick oven pizza upgrade, serving as our favor for our guests as they departed, and heard rave reviews the next morning.
Rock Island was an amazing place to get married, and I’d recommend the venue with zero hesitation!

Beyond amazing venue! My dream wedding!
I don't know where to begin with our wedding at Rock Island. Dreaming about your wedding day for what feels like forever means you have extremely high expectations. Every single time my husband and I visited Rock Island, we left impressed and so beyond excited for our big day. The staff, FOOD, atmosphere, view, location, EVERYTHING about Rock Island is beyond amazing! Our guests cannot stop raving about our wedding at being the best and most fun wedding they have ever been to. Seriously! The food is SPECTACULAR, the views and location/building/grounds are just breathtaking, and the staff left such a lasting impression on everyone that our guests knew them by name by the end of the night. Heather, our wedding planner, was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She is so warm and welcoming and made everything a breeze. Mike and Jessica made our wedding day run absolutely seamlessly. Karly, my bridal attendant, was extremely attentive to me and she was right there with me through our first look and all of my pictures to help with my veil and dress. Rock Island is the absolute BEST place to have your wedding and most of all, you really do feel like part of the family. There Are No Other Venues You Should Consider
From the day we stepped foot in Rock Island, we knew we wanted to become a part of the RILC family. The grounds are gorgeous, well maintained, and are simply stunning and unique. This was just the beginning. As soon as we booked, we began working with Heather who was absolutely unreal - Heather is responsive, full of ideas and knowledge, and above all else, truly felt like our friend who genuinely cared about our wedding, despite the fact that she helps so many other couples - this is evidenced by our 100+ email chain. It is so important when planning a wedding to fully trust your vendors, and Rock Island made this easy. The day before our wedding, we met with Mike A, the RILC Maître d', and Jessica, the RILC day-of coordinator. Jessica took the time to go over every piece of decor we were dropping off to ensure that everything we wanted to be used was used, and similarly that everything we brought was packed up for us after the wedding was over. Mike and Jessica then went over every detail for our wedding, making sure that everything would be smooth the day of - and it was. Mike was AMAZING and everyone complimented us about how smoothly everything was and how promptly dinner was served. We are from Long Island and during cocktail hour, everyone came up to us to ask how we found Rock Island because they were in awe of the venue - the grounds, the lake, the ceremony space, the food, the service, and everything in between. I cannot stress this enough - my bridal attendant Amelia was EVERYTHING. She took care of absolutely all of my needs, made sure I stayed hydrated, whipped out pliers to help affix charms to my wedding shoes, and made sure we got platters of food from the cocktail our in the bridal suite after our ceremony. I cannot thank these people enough and truly did not want to leave at the end of the night. Everyone is raving about the food, saying that people were fighting over the lamb at dinner, cleaned their plates even after being stuffed after an amazing cocktail hour (especially getting rave reviews about the mini lobster tacos, coconut shrimp, chicken and waffles, grilled cheese shooters, and the slider station). Our guests told us how nice the bartenders were, how attentive the wait staff was, and how delicious the boardwalk station was that we added as a dessert. I could honestly go on and on and on about how amazing our day was because of Rock Island, but honestly, the most important thing to know is that Rock Island knows what they are doing and there are simply no other venues that you should be considering. I am so grateful to be part of the Rock Island family!

Fairytale wedding of my dreams
There aren't enough words to explain how amazing Rock Island Lake Club is. All the stellar reviews here are true!!
Yes, the venue is stunning! The staff is extremely professional and yet personable. Heather, the wedding planner, was always there to help answer any of my ridiculous questions and kept me sane throughout the process helping me find a solution even though everyone else told me it wasn't possible. They truly made me feel like a bride every step of the way.
For reference, I got engaged in February 2019 and got married in July 2019. Although everyone said it was too short to plan a wedding, I had the fairytale wedding of my dreams all thanks for RILC. It was everything I hoped for and more. Everyone still raves about the food/drinks. We're so happy we added the midnight munchies (a must have). They were an unexpected unique wedding favor that left my guests well fed and happy.
The day is still a whirlwind in my mind. It went so fast and I'm still getting little flashbacks of it that I couldn't remember but I just want to thank RICL for making our day so special. And special thanks to Mike and Jessica. You guys were my rock on the day of and kept me the most calm I've ben in my life. That's just how much I grew to trust everyone at RILC. They make you feel like family.

Best Wedding Ever
If you're reading this review, you're probably considering Rock Island. My advice - DO IT! Rock Island was the PERFECT choice for our wedding day. Heather, the wedding coordinator on site, is incredibly helpful and keeps you on track. She is always there for help and advice along the way. We called and emailed her many times and she was always incredibly friendly and helpful. Once you get to the final week, you meet with Mike and Jessica who are also beyond helpful. They take care of you the day of the event and make sure all of the details are ironed out before hand. Not only is the entire staff at Rock Island is great, but the food options CANNOT be beat. As a guest at weddings, two of the top things I care about (other than the couple, of course) are food and drinks. Rock Island has you covered. People still rave about our cocktail hour and guests literally had dreams about our desserts!! Also, who else gives you 5 options for dinner? It's unheard of. The premium open bar is a huge hit as well (for obvious reasons). Not all venues include this free of charge!! You may also be thinking, as the guests of honor, you won't get to enjoy any of the great food and drinks. But Rock Island does not let you miss out on this! We had our wedding at a church nearby and then came to Rock Island for pictures, before the cocktail hour. The bar was open and they had food waiting for us. Which was great because I was too nervous to eat before the ceremony and thought I would pass out if they didn't have food waiting for us!! We also stepped away for a few minutes during cocktail hour to freshen up and breathe and found trays of cocktail hour food along with our signature drinks waiting for us in the bridal suite. Our bridal attendant Amelia was awesome. She kept coming up to check on us to see if we wanted more to eat or drink. (She's also there for you throughout the night to make sure you're doing ok and to see if you need anything at all.) And the food didn't stop there. Every time I turned around, someone was asking if I needed anything. My drinks were never empty and if I left to dance, a new one was magically refilled by the time I got back. I tell everyone, I felt like royalty on my wedding day!! And the venue... just look at it. It is breathtaking. Months later, at other weddings, people talk to us about how wonderful it was to have the lake and our outdoor area to hang out at during cocktail hour. We also lucked out with a beautiful sunset on our wedding night, so the balcony was packed with people snapping pictures. We had so many guests tell us we did our wedding "the right way" and that it was the best wedding they had been to. People still are talking about it months later. I cannot thank the Rock Island family enough for making our day so special. I would not change a thing about our day.

Thank you Rock Island!
To start off, I'll give the disclaimer that RILC was the one and only wedding venue that my now husband and I looked at. We had a good feeling after hearing and reading great reviews, but when we went for our initial consultation, we were blown away, not only by the space and scenery, but by the plethora of options available to us as part of the basic wedding package and the abundance of upgrades. The kindness and patience of the staff to answer our questions was also evident in Jessica's warm smile and demeanor at our meeting! As we planned, Heather (the wedding coordinator on staff) was always available to guide us in decisions when we were stuck or to answer questions about everything from wine options to car services. I truly felt that she was always happy to hear from us and help us as best as she could. By the time we got to the final meeting the day before our wedding, we felt that everything was in fantastic hands, no matter how many times the seating chart shifted in the final week! Mike, the maître d', made us confident that the reception would be awesome and Jessica, our day of coordinator, made us confident that our ceremony would run like clockwork. Carly, my bridal attendant, was extremely helpful on the day of the wedding, always willing to hold my bouquet or fix my unruly veil. One thing that really blew me away on our wedding day (and that I told a few of them) was that the whole staff really seemed genuinely thrilled for us as if it was the first wedding they had ever worked on. I really think that their excitement and enthusiasm for us made the day even more perfect. I would wholeheartedly recommend RILC to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

The Most Amazing Place to Begin Your Next Chapter
What can I say about Rock Island Lake Club? It is absolutely amazing, and you should definitely have your wedding here! Throughout the entire wedding process, Heather and the Rock Island family made us feel so welcome and organized. Heather, our wedding coordinator, would send us reminder emails about the entire process and was cheerful and our ray of sunshine each time we spoke. On our wedding day, the staff took amazing care of bridal party, my family members, and myself, as we got ready at the venue. We never had to ask for anything because our bridal attendant, Carly, was on top of getting us food and drinks in addition to steaming our dresses. Mike, our maître d’ for the evening, took amazing care of my husband and the groomsmen, even wrangling them up when needed. Despite the rainy weather, the staff was prepared and smoothly transitioned our reception to an indoor ceremony space. Jessica, our ceremony coordinator, did a fantastic job ensuring that the ceremony was smooth and looked as beautiful as we could have imagined. During the cocktail hour (and a half), our guests raved about the fantastic food selections and abundance of food throughout the evening. Even with little hiccups along the way, as a result of some of our guests, Mike and the staff at the Rock Island Lake Club handled everything flawlessly. Mike made sure that my husband and I always had something to drink or eat before we even realized that either was needed. The staff did a tremendous job of setting up the room after the indoor ceremony and was attentive to all of our guests. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests in addition to the pizzas at the end of the night! Our guests have been talking about how our wedding was the best one that they have ever been to! We wish that we could go back and relive that day or, at the very least, attend many, many weddings there in the future. Thank you for everything, Rock Island family!

Masterd the art of a perfect wedding
My husband and I went on the hunt for the perfect wedding venue- we were both trying to avoid the ballroom with the swirly rugs, I did most of my research online and I found Rock Island- From the second we walked in we were sold. Mike walked us around and he was honest and cool and made us feel so incredibly comfortable. There were certain aspects of a wedding that we wanted to avoid like the announcements and the cake cutting, and they were down for whatever we wanted (we actually went to a venue that told us we NEEDED to cut the cake- there was no away around it, clearly we didn't get married there)
Long story short- if you are looking for a venue that is different, and want to wow the crowd- Rock Island is it- dont look any further! The food was INCREDIBLE, the staff felt like our family, the view is on the lake and there are so many photo opportunities inside and out. One big thing that stuck out to me during one of our tours, Heather told me to treat Rock Island like your home- put up pictures and signs and candles, anything to make it feel like home- and it really truly did. and another HUGE perk- you are the only wedding of the day, you have the entire place to yourself, every room and every level, it was fantastic! I already have friends on Facebook messaging me for more information, and guest telling their family and friends about it. They have mastered the art of a perfect wedding

Kirby & Rob NYE Wedding - Thank You!
“Had we not chosen Rock Island for our venue, nothing else for this wedding would have come together. It would not have been perfect. Rock Island started it all.” My husband said this to me the morning after our wedding – he couldn’t have summed up my feelings any better. After getting engaged we booked a tour at Rock Island very last minute. We were in the area, figuring why not, it can’t hurt. Instantly we were greeted with warmth and love. Within 10 minutes of showing up we were joking and laughing with staff as if everyone were old friends reuniting. When we told them about our black tie New Year’s Eve idea as a theme for the wedding everyone was instantly hooked. We signed the contract that day – there was no need to think about it, there was no need to look elsewhere. We had found the spot.
Heather. The most amazing planner, coordinator, and person out there. She kept me sane throughout this entire process, worked around my hectic medical school schedule, answered the billion emails I sent regularly and still found it in her heart to laugh, joke, and share stories with us at our meetings. Heather made sure that we knew the timeline to get things done in, she helped schedule meetings, she went above and beyond to create the vision we had for our wedding – she far exceeded our expectations. Heather is the BEST in this business. There is no question.
Mike. What can I say about Mike? I’m pretty certain that he is the most genuine person I have ever met. My wedding day was perfect because of Mike. I certainly didn’t have any time to forget to eat because Mike was filling my plate, and glass for that matter! He helped my brother set up his guitar and equipment to play a special song for my father/daughter dance without hesitation. He made sure that not only Rob and I were taken care of but that our guests with severe food allergies knew exactly what they could and couldn’t eat. He found me a fan when I was dying of heat in my puffy dress and laughed with me as I stood outside in the rain to cool down. He went out of his way to find me a rack of lamb for dinner that I had wanted more than anything. All of these things, Mike did without being asked. He just knew.
Jack. Before I could finish a sentence to ask for something, Jack was placing it down onto the table. He went out of his way to make sure Rob and I had everything we could ever want, as well as going out of his way to make sure my Mom was well taken care of. Jack even helped us at the end of the night to pack up whatever gifts and cards we had, and made sure we had some pizzas for the road too!
The bottom line is that Rock Island started out as just a wedding venue for us, but by the end turned into so much more. I feel like we have become part of the Rock Island family. These are people I want to keep in touch with, people I want to spend more time with in the future, true friends that we can count on. So thank you Heather, Mike, Jack, and the entire rest of the Rock Island Lake Club staff and crew. You gave us the dream we had envisioned and more. We certainly consider you all family now. Best day ever
It is now almost four months since my husband and I got married at Rock Island. It was the greatest day and that is all due to the wonderful employees at Rock Island. We are forever grateful.
Rock Island was the first venue that we visited in person after doing a ton of Internet research. Not only was Rock Island accommodating in that they squeezed us in for a visit the next Saturday morning, whereas many other places would only allow us to visit during the week, but Jessica made us feel welcome, despite the fact that they were preparing for a wedding later that day. I fell in love with the setting, while my husband fell in love with what was included in the standard bar and food package!
Working with Heather during the planning process was great. She was incredibly organized and responsive to any questions that we had about vendors, the menu, decor, etc., including alleviating my concern that the dance floor would be too small with a band. Let me assure you that we had plenty of room on the dance floor with an 8-piece band and 160 guests!
As for the day of, everything was perfect and stress-free. Jessica, Mike, Mike and the rest of the Rock Island team have this down to a science. Everything was set up by the time we got there. They made sure that everything we asked for on the day of was provided. They made sure that my 95-year old grandmother was able to get around the property without missing anything. They made sure that we ate before the cocktail hour and before the party (very important!) and even brought my husband a plate of the lamb chops that he was most excited about at the cocktail hour. The food was delicious, plentiful and I was told, regularly refilled at the cocktail hour. Rock Island and its team really just went above and beyond to make us have such a special day from our first visit to the day after our wedding when they had all of our decor organized in boxes ready to be taken home.
We cannot recommend Rock Island enough if you are looking to have a stress-free wedding in a gorgeous location with great food and drinks. We would not change a thing about our wedding and that is the highest complement that we can give!

The Best of the Best
When reflecting back on 2018, our wedding at Rock Island Lake Club in July, is a memory that will forever fill our hearts with joy and love. From start to finish, the entire staff at Rock Island made our happiness a priority and did everything in their power to ensure our vision came to life. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, we truly felt the passion and energy the entire staff exuded. They payed meticulous attention to every detail along the way and executed the day seamlessly.
Heather was an absolute pleasure to plan with for the 18 months leading up to our wedding. She was always just a phone call or email away to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the process. She also provided great suggestions and advice when needed. She truly has a knack for organization and was able to alleviate some of the burden of planning and the fine tuning of details. Her and Mike, our maitre d', worked as the perfect pair to orchestrate the most special day!
Mike was there for anything and EVERYTHING we needed the day of our wedding. He coordinated our vendors, wedding party and guests to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. He provided us with our own escort service via golf cart and an endless supply of ice cold water to help us manage the 100+ degree temperatures. Most importantly his confidence and cool demeanor left us with not a care in the world the day of our wedding, knowing we were in good hands!
The venue itself looked incredible! Our vision and decor were executed perfectly by the entire staff. Our guests still can’t stop raving about the food and top rate service. The experience we had working with Rock Island was unbeatable and the best decision we made! We can only hope that we will be able to attend more weddings in the future as guests :)

The BEST wedding venue!
My husband and I found Rock Island through online searches when looking for a wedding venue. After our initial visit we were IN LOVE with the venue, the location, and the staff. We continued to keep an open mind as we were nervous about spending so much money on one day however that was time wasted. Rock Island is THE PLACE to have your wedding. We visited Rock Island three times before committing to 10/21/18 and we could not be happier with our decision. Rock Island Lake Club takes care of almost everything, Heather our wedding coordinator was extremely responsive to our e-mails and super helpful with planning the wedding and sorting out little details in the weeks and days leading up to it. People say planning a wedding is difficult, Heather and the staff at Rock Island made it seamless. Mike, our maître’d for the day was like having a super fun and chill friend hang out with us with his top priority being if we were fed, happy, and having a good time. It was a brisk fall day and Mike even gave me his jacket while we were outside for pictures so I wouldn’t freeze before the ceremony, he had drinks ready for us after the ceremony, and a plate of food from cocktail hour waiting for us. My girls and I got ready at Rock Island and the groom and his friends had the lounge package, we were all fed and taken care of all day. My bridal suite attendant was a dream, she steamed dresses and the guy’s shirts, took care of me all day, carried my change of shoes, bustled my dress, slipped my veil in and out; there were times when I didn’t notice she was even there, but sure enough she was, seeing if I needed anything. The food for cocktail hour and the reception was amazing, people were talking about how much of it and how good the food was the night of and well after. The package Rock Island offers to couples is unbeatable and the attention they give each wedding makes it feel like you truly are the only people in the world who are getting married and you’re all that matter. If anything went wrong the day of the wedding I have no idea; from the ceremony coordinator to the waiter who took care of us at the sweetheart table everyone knew how to pull off a dream wedding. We have had multiple people tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and I truly hope that I one day get to be a guest at a Rock Island Wedding.

An absolute dream wedding venue!
From the moment we took our first tour with Perry at Rock Island, my husband and I felt a sense of comfort. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, we truly felt the passion and love everyone on staff feels for their job. They know your wedding details inside and out, make your day feel completely special and unique and go above and beyond on the day of to make sure everything is seamless and perfect.
The venue itself is gorgeous. It has an understated elegance with a rustic, but not barn, feel. We loved the Tuscan farm tables and wood floor ballroom. It doesn't look like your typical wedding venue.
Heather, our wedding coordinator, is so sweet and easy to talk to, on top of being incredibly organized and communicative. Any couple would be lucky to work with her.
Mike, our maitre d', was an invaluable right-hand man the day of our wedding. I needed a safety pin and mentioned it in passing and not even a minute later he had one. He checked up on us to make sure we ate, had time to ourselves and were able to absorb everything around us. I can't imagine the day without him.
And don't even get me started on the food! It is DELICIOUS, and the cocktail hour is massive and gives you so many selections to really shape the wedding how YOU envision it.
Between the gorgeous venue, impeccable staff and delicious food, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to get married. We would recommend this place a thousand times over.

Rock Island is a FANTASTIC wedding venue!! First off, the staff is fabulous. They are organized, helpful, responsive, and so attentive on the wedding day. I was never without a drink in my hand, and they set up a private tasting room for us, so we could try everything and have a moment together before going to cocktail hour! They are also so fun and make the whole experience more enjoyable!
Second, the food is phenomenal!! My now husband is Greek, so he was looking for some Greek food, and they created an entire station for us with all of his family’s favorite food! And it was so fantastic!! In addition to that, everything that we chose from the menu was delicious and had our guests raving. Just a few highlights: guacamole bar with margarita shots, Mac and cheese bar, duck carving station, and so much more!
Lastly, the venue is beautiful. It’s big enough to feel spacious, but small enough to feel intimate. The floors are hardwood and everything is updated. The outside is beautiful for pictures on the lake or in the woods. This place is PHENOMENAL, and I’d highly recommend for any future brides and grooms!! We are so happy we chose Rock Island for our big day!!

Rock Island is an outstanding wedding venue! Delicious food, amazing service, beautiful location – you can’t go wrong. My husband and I chose it for a few reasons: First, we liked the intimate feel of the ballroom. It kept all of our guests in close proximity, which meant many of them stayed on the dancefloor most of the night. For the guests who needed a break from the music, they were able to step outside to the beautiful porch overlooking the lake. They were still close enough to mingle, but could also come back inside quickly if they heard a song they liked. This really kept the party going throughout the night. (Also, the speakers over the dinner tables are set lower than those over the dancefloor, which is a huge perk for those guests who want to sit and chat during the reception. Everything about the venue is so well thought-out!)
The second reason we chose Rock Island was due to their dedication to upkeep. We saw a lot of venues that felt run-down. Rock Island specifically closes for 1-2 months each year to repaint and complete an improvement project. We loved this! It showed in the venue’s cleanliness and thoughtful approach to hosting a large-scale event. Their commitment to always wanting to improve their space is commendable and made for a beautiful reception spot.
Everyone we worked with there was professional and went out of their way to be helpful. Jason is a phenomenal maitre d' and really helped to make the reception run smoothly. Everything about our wedding planning that had to do with Rock Island was easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our ~200 guests and have an amazing night to celebrate!

When my husband and I toured Rock Island we knew there was something special about it, and we were right. Our wedding was PERFECT! Once we arrived at the venue both my husband and I were relaxed and excited to take in every moment of the day. The incredible team (Mike, Jessica, Narissa, Carly, etc.) made us and our guests feel so special and welcome. Their attention to detail and professionalism was evident throughout the day. From booking the venue to the week of our wedding Heather was beyond helpful answering any question we had and providing us with her tips and expertise in the industry. Planning our wedding was easy and enjoyable with the incredible team at Rock Island. At first it may seem a little pricey, but we can assure you it is worth every penny! We love Rock Island!!!

Getting married at Rock Island Lake Club was the best decision of our lives!! We worked with Heather leading up to the big day and communication was always seamless. I was even questioning my seating chart and timeline the week prior to the wedding and Heather answered my call with a lot of helpful answers. On the wedding day, we worked with Laura and Narissa, the ceremony coordinators, Carly, the bridal suite attendant, and of course, Mike, the world's best maitre'd. The team could not be more fantastic!! They were constantly checking in on us throughout the day as we got ready in the bridal suite, they made us feel right at home and so at ease. Right after our ceremony, Carly brought us a plate full of our cocktail hour food and our specialty cocktails to ensure we got to try everything we picked. Mike was truly by our side for anything we needed from staging us for the best first look photo ops to serving us and our guests shots so the bar wouldn't slow down to fixing the bustle of my dress. Plus, it wasn't just us who thought Mike was the best--we even had guests commenting how great their interactions with him had been! Another huge highlight is the amazing food!! We had a guest text us this week (after our wedding was two months ago) to comment that the salmon was the best meal he'd ever had at a wedding. Every guest we interacted with at the cocktail hour had so many great things to say regarding the food and service--they kept telling us something new we should try! Although we couldn't try it all, we did LOVE every bite and sip we had throughout the whole night. The day and night could not have run any more smoothly or been any more beautiful and special and we have Rock Island to thank for so much of that.

If you want to have the most memorable wedding, you should have it at Rock Island Lake Club! My husband and I keep saying, we want to do it every weekend. From the services with the team is absolutely amazing. Setting everything up with Heather, email after email. She is so easy to work with. She was very informative on things we had questions about. My maître d’ Mike was absolutely amazing. My new best friend. He was there in a blink of an eye. Anytime I needed something he magically appeared. Also all I had to do was meow to get a drink! Mike you are the best!! Laura thank you so much for making an awesome drink sign for me and having everything go smoothly. Rock Island is the place to celebrate your special day!

There are no words that can ever do Rock Island Lake Club justice. First, it is absolutely gorgeous. The location feels so remote and the views are amazing. They are constantly updating and renovating in order to keep current and new, but you don’t need me to tell you that. There are tons of pictures online that can show you better than I can ever verbalize. What puts RILC in a completely different universe when it comes to your wedding is their service. From the day I stepped inside for a tour to the day after our wedding when I packed our trunk up with leftover flip-flops, I have felt like part of a family with endless support. Heather is the best thing to ever happen to wedding planning. She is a coordinating extraordinaire. We would not have been able to do anything without her. She understood us as a couple and helped us pick out basically every vendor and even my dress. I would send her countless emails with dozens of questions and she always came back with a cohesive and ridiculously helpful response. My day of coordinator was amazing and super helpful. Mike, the maitre d', is absolutely phenomenal. There is literally nothing he won’t do to make sure you are happy and your day goes as smooth as possible. He was always right there when we needed him and when I recapped the night with my bridal party, they all said the same. I honestly don’t know how the man is in so many places at once. The food was amazing. People are still raving about our cocktail hour and signature drinks. Absolutely no one can compare to the packages they offer. You will not find another venue with this attention to detail and, most importantly, staff. As we were planning our wedding I realized most of the stress comes from not knowing (and over-Pinterest-ing). With the knowledgeable team at RILC you will be in the best hands the industry has to offer and they will help make your entire experience the best ever.

I can't say enough great things about the team at Rock Island Club, they are absolutely amazing! The moment that we stepped foot to visit the venue we knew that would be the place we would get married and have our reception. Throughout the planning process Heather (our wedding coordinator) was so incredibly helpful and informative. Anytime I would send her an email she would get right back to me. The tasting experience was great, we were able to bring our family with us to try the food, which helped us make some decisions. The food is OUTSTANDING! The cocktail hour (and a half) is more than enough food - everyone loved the bacon station! Dinner and dessert were great too. We spent the whole day at RILC getting ready in the bridal suite, they had mimosas, tea and coffee, breakfast and lunch for us. The bridal attendant Rachel was perfect! She made the whole day so comfortable. Anytime I turned around Rachel was there with whatever I needed and I didn't even have to tell her, it's like she read my mind. Our Maître D - Michael was spectacular! He made sure the whole day was exactly what we wanted. No matter what we needed or wanted Michael made sure it happened. And again it's like he knew what we were thinking and we didn't even have to ask. The ceremony was beautiful, right next to lake and the rest of the night was magical. I wish I could move in and never have to leave - that is how beautiful this venue is. Plus the whole team makes you feel like you're at home! - Alicia & Mike

Look no further!! This place was the best and easiest decision my husband and I ever made during our wedding planning process! Not only were all of our guests absolutely wowed by the venue, food and staff, we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Heather and Michael thought of every little detail and no question was too small or silly. Perry, the owner, even helped bus tables the day of our wedding! We seriously cannot day enough wonderful things about this venue and the staff. Thank you guys so much!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Rock Island ... the service was amazing..from Heather (wedding coordinator) who was so helpful and prompt to my many many inquiries to the overall staff and Mike our Matr’d. Who btw my husband wants to hang with bc we had such a great time you ! Literally the night of and the next morning and still 2 weeks later, all of our guests are raving about the food and booze and atmosphere !! My husband and i are hoping one of our friends gets married here so we can enjoy as a guest. Seriously tho, i am so impressed with the level of service. I was a bit stressed as I’m sure most brides to be are during wedding planning but everytime we came to Rock Island for an appointment or tasting i felt so at ease because they really take care of everything !! I’m so happy we got married here and hope to be back soon. Thanks again for literally the best night of our life!

WOW. Just wow is all we have to say. Our wedding was about a month ago now and we are still in awe of how absolutely flawless our special day went! From the moment that we walked into Rock Island at our initial appointment to view the venue we knew it was the one for us. We put a deposit down on a date that day! Our families thought we were crazy, but from meeting different staff members, to hearing about their packages and how our day would go, not to mention how gorgeous the venue itself was, we knew it was the one. We viewed other venues after that and nothing else compared. Heather, our wedding coordinator, made the entire process leading up to our wedding day stress free, comfortable, and fun! All of the details became exciting and we could not wait to experience it all! Our wedding day was more than we could have ever dreamed it would be. The staff and team at Rock Island made sure that not only we were happy, but that our bridal party, and all of our guests were happy too. We wish we could relive our wedding day all over again every weekend!!!! Rock Island Lake Club is a one of a kind wedding venue and we highly recommend checking them out! I got married at Rock Island on 9/9/17 and could not have had a better experience. From everything leading up to the event to picking up all our stuff the next morning (packed up for us and ready to go!), everything was perfect. Heather kept me calm through the whole process, was always available and quick to respond with any questions we had and gave us tons of suggestions and help through it all. After the ceremony the bustle on my dress ripped and Heather pulled out a little sewing kit and had it fixed in minutes. Mike walked us around the property the multiple times we just stopped in, helped us bury a bottle of bourbon (for good luck and no rain!) and made sure my husband had everything he could need on the day of our wedding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I wish we could do it all again! On the day of the wedding they even steamed all my bridesmaid dresses while we enjoyed drinks and food while getting ready. The actual ceremony was prefect with such beautiful scenery. The reception was so much fun and the food was AMAZING. There was so much food during cocktail hour I wasn’t even hungry by the time our dinner came out (but I still had some because it was just so good!) I truely could not have picked a better venue!

Simply put, deciding to have our wedding here was the BEST DECISION we made in our entire planning process (and there are a lot of decisions!!!) Rock Island Lake Club was the first venue we saw and we fell in love. For good measure, we looked at about a dozen other venues to make sure we “got it right”, and nothing compared to the vibe of this venue. It is rustic yet elegant, providing for an upscale feel without being pretentious. The venue itself has so much character and beauty, but we had no idea how great our decision was until the wedding day actually came. THE TEAM AT ROCK ISLAND IS INCREDIBLE. Heather, the wedding coordinator, thinks of every detail and is in constant communication at all times. On the day of, my wife and I did not have to lift a finger or make one decision. They thought of and took care of EVERYTHING. Michael, our Maitre’ D, is a gem. He was super fun, made us feel comfortable and incredibly special, would magically appear whenever we needed something during the party as if he were psychic, and made the entire evening flawless. I can’t imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. I can’t say enough amazing things about the venue and its staff. If you are looking for a team and a venue that is detail-oriented, will do whatever it takes to make you happy on the day of your wedding, feels like family yet makes you feel like royalty, provides DELICIOUS and creative food and drink options, makes for gorgeous photos, and will absolutely stun your guests, LOOK NO FURTHER and book this place NOW. You won’t regret it for a second.

I fell in love with Rock Island Lake Club from the moment that I walked through the door. I had a vision of an outdoor ceremony at a rustic and romantic venue, and RILC was all that and more! After falling in love with the site itself, we were blown away at how much they had to offer. The food options seemed endless and all of it was delicious. I chose to add on the bridal suite and I am so thrilled that I did. We had so much fun getting ready together and the room was gorgeous! The entire day was beyond perfect and the staff was incredible. Three people stand out the most during the planning process and our wedding day – Heather, Tina, and Mike. Mike, our maitre’d, was fantastic. He made sure that everybody was taken care of both before and during the wedding. The entire day ran seamlessly and he even made us a plate during cocktail hour to make sure we were able to eat! After the wedding, all of our decorations were organized and put aside so it was very easy to gather the next day. He was so kind and truly put us at ease throughout the whole day. Heather is everything that a bride could hope for in a wedding coordinator. Not only was she extremely thorough and fantastic at organizing and executing the perfect wedding day, she is also such a sweet and kind person. I was completely stress-free during the entire day – I didn’t know that was possible! She was unbelievably quick to answer any questions. Tina was also an absolute saint on our wedding day. We booked the bridal package and I cannot put into words how attentive she was throughout the entire morning and evening. She worked tirelessly all morning making sure everyone had enough to eat and drink and making sure all of the dresses were perfectly steamed and then continued to work the entire night throughout the reception. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate the efforts of these three hardworking individuals. Our wedding was perfect and I cannot wait to be a guest at RILC in September!

Quit reading reviews and get yourself to Rock Island Lake Club for an appointment, stat. You'll fall in love, just like we did the very first time we saw the venue. After our tour and lovely conversation with Ajay and Mike, we left to go home and discuss, information in hand. Not 15 minutes into the drive we called the venue and reserved our date. The vibe is just... special. Yes, it's classy. Yes, it's absolutely beautiful. But what we really noticed and appreciated immediately was the level of comfort, the feel of 'home', the spirit of the staff who we now feel are lifelong friends. From day 1, we experienced the passion of people who truly love what they are doing. It's very rare nowadays to see that shine through so clearly. Weddings can be very stressful: it's the most momentous day of your life and you want it to be 100% perfect. So, the people you surround yourself on that day are vital, and we couldn't be happier with the level of customer service we received throughout the whole process. Heather, our coordinator, is not only the sweetest woman I've ever met, but was also extremely organized, kept us on track, and answered our many, many questions throughout planning. She was even willing to meet me after work near my office to go over our wedding details and additionally made special arrangements to design a custom floor plan for a very large guest count, DJ AND Band. Whew! Mike, our maitre'd, was an absolute godsend and the night ran seamlessly under his supervision. The morning of the wedding, my USB drive holding hundreds of photos to display on the screens corrupted. You can imagine my stress. :) Mike came up to the bridal suite and assured me that all would work out, truly calming any nerves I had. He worked with our DJ and saved the day mere hours before the ceremony, recovering the photos and creating a custom slideshow that looked awesome. This is just one example of the crew going "above and beyond". Thank you, RILC, for the best day of our lives.

We had the wedding of our dreams at RILC. We wanted a rustic yet modern feel, and the facilities from the decor and detail to the lake were just so warm and inviting we had no doubt this was the venue of our dreams. Coupled with the fact that the staff reassured us from the first time we met them that they’d do everything to make sure we were happy and that our friends & family had the most epic time at our wedding.. and they succeeded. People are still talking about our wedding from this past October, saying that it was the BEST wedding they’ve been to. From the amazing cocktail hour, the Moscow mule bar!!, the dancing, the dinners, the service in the bridal suite and groom suite beforehand.. it was top to bottom a flawless day with no errors or issues.
From the start Heather worked with my husband (and our family) and I to ensure we were up to speed with planning and booking vendors, gave us suggestions, and answered all of our questions along the way.. and this was over the course of a year! As far as the day of, the staff was nothing short of amazing. I am a very organized and time oriented person and the staff made sure everything was arranged and set up how I wanted it to be, so I had no stresses or worries the morning of. They helped us stay on our timeline so that we could enjoy our morning getting ready in the bridal suite and still be on time for pictures, ceremony, etc. Tina was a godsend in the bridal suite.. steaming dresses, getting us drinks, helping corset my gown, and even doing last minute seamstress jobs on one of my bridesmaids dresses!!! Mike was also amazing that night, he catered to the guys the morning of, and coordinated an amazing time on the dance floor making sure everyone had a good time. He was fun and approachable and ensured my husband and I were happy and taken care of the whole night. The service was 110% amazing for us and we heard the same from all of our guests. The service, atmosphere, and food were amazing! Best day 100%!

I'm fairly certain I do not have enough time or space on this page to explain how incredible Rock Island Lake Club was on our wedding day. Scratch that...even before our wedding day! I do not know what I would have done without the team at Rock Island and everything they brought day of! Talk about an A++++ venue/staff, this group does NOT mess around when it comes to being on top of their wedding game. I still have guests telling me how amazing their evening was, from the food (which is seriously out of this world), to the ambiance, to the top notch staff and beyond. For me there are three honorable mentions, Michael the maitre de, who went above and beyond to take care of us, Heather who helped us get everything ready leading up to the big day and was ALWAYS reachable when any questions came up and Martina (Tina) who was our day of gladiator! I had a major dress situation and Tina immediately sprung into action, I'm fairly certain I would not have made it down the aisle in my dress if it weren't for her. This venue will forever hold a very special place in my heart and you are crazy to not get married here!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Rock Island for making our wedding day everything and SO MUCH more!!

We knew when we booked with Rock Island Lake Club that we would have a great wedding because of their reputation, however, they exceeded our expectations in every way! Rock Island Lake Club takes care of you the moment you step in for a tour. They keep you on track during the entire planning process and help make it as stress free as possible! They literally could read our minds, especially the night of our wedding. They are always one step ahead of you and really make your wedding a dream come true. What can be said about Rock Island that hasn’t already been said? Amazing food, service and making us feel right at home. From the beginning consultations with Heather and Perry, we felt that we didn’t need to look anywhere else.
They only perform one wedding a day so the attention is all about you. They will customize just about any detail you ask to make everything just right. Anything from a fireplace with s’mores, the place settings, signature drinks, food options to anything to making sure that the big day was our biggest day ever.
They pay attention to some details that a lot of places don’t consider. One example is their speakers within vaulted ceilings. This helped keep the music in the one area it always needs to stay, the dance floor. You may hear the music from your table but you can have a conversation at a normal volume and still hear one another when the music is cranked up. That alone showed us a huge difference from weddings with speakers blasting in your face all night long.
We had a picture perfect outdoor winter wedding here. Picture 5 inches of snow the night before and flurries walking down the aisle and for the receiving line with the backdrop of a frozen lake. Rock Island asked if we wished to move forward with the ceremony outside or inside and they made the outdoor option possible without hesitation. With our maitre d, Michael, he kept a tight ship for our wedding details being right while also providing a comfortable atmosphere for all of our guests.
At the end of the night, a guest complimented our night claiming it as “The Gold Standard of Weddings”. The only complaint I have is that the night couldn’t last forever.

I can't say more amazing things about RILC! My husband and I looked at only 1 venue prior to looking at RILC and immediately fell in love! Everyone was so amazing to work with leading up to and on the day of my wedding! Heather, Mike, Emily, Perry, and Tina were so incredible, I did not have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. Everything was taken care of for us. Everyone that works there is truly a professional- they know EXACTLY what they are doing. It was raining up to a half hour of my ceremony start time and they were able to set everything up for an outdoor ceremony (wiping off seats, lining the aisles with pedals, and setting up the flowers on the birch archway) so we could have the outdoor ceremony. All of my guests also raved about the amazing food- some of the best they have ever had at at a wedding! People are still talking about it 3 months later! I can't recommend RILC enough!

HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! I cannot say enough good things about RILC and the talented and committed staff of people! Heather worked with me every step of the way in planning, Michael made the day go suuuper smooth, Tina sewed me into my dress TWICE throughout the night, and Shelby was an absolute delight to have around to help with details. They set everything up so beautifully, and had everything packed up for us the following morning. They really take care of you, and I felt so calm and relaxed the whole day thanks to them. Also, the food is INCREDIBLE! I got so many compliments about the cocktail hour being the best thing ever (bacon bar and guacamole station to name a few standouts...)

Rock Island Lake Club is the venue that you want to book for your wedding! Every single staff member is not only professional, accommodating, and flexible, but they truly care about making your day unbelievable! We primarily worked with Heather as our wedding coordinator and we have nothing but amazing things to say about her! Heather always answered my emails in a timely manner and fully answered every question we had. She broke everything down piece by piece over the course of the year so we never felt overwhelmed going through the entire wedding process. She was always helpful and gave her honest opinion when I would ask a question. She truly made this entire wedding process a lot simpler and less overwhelming! The day of our wedding was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were dead set on having our ceremony outside (even though it was a bit chilly) and Rock Island monitored the weather. The staff gave us hourly breakdowns of the temperature and wind speed every few hours! When it came time to decide where the ceremony would be held, they were supportive of our decision to have it outside and made sure it happened! Two things that really stuck out to me the night of our wedding was how beautiful the reception area looked, which I never imagined. The staff moved our decor from the ceremony and cocktail hour upstairs and made the most beautiful display that I could have never imagined in my wildest dreams. They did this without us even asking them to and it was truly amazing, breathtaking, and thoughtful! Mike was our Maitre’D and boy was he incredible! Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and our family and friends are still raving about him and how awesome he was! My drink of choice for the night was a cucumber martini. When I asked Mike for one, he had a cucumber on him to get me a drink! What service! I hope to attend a wedding here one day to experience what our guests did!!!

AMAZING! From the moment we pulled up to RILC, we were in love! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We wanted to stir away from a large crystal ballroom type. Instead, we wanted a more rustic yet classy and intimate place. RILC is just that. To add to it, their all-inlcusive package is the best from what we’ve seen at 5 other venues we looked at. To add to that, the staff is great and ensures that you’re on track from the booking date even up until after the wedding! Heather was great at keeping in touch and answered any questions we had (and there were many)! Mike, our maitre d was fabulous! He took such great care of us on our wedding night... food, drinks, anything we needed... he was there! And to add to that, the food is abundant and sooo good!!! Cocktail hour food was great! Dinner was even better! In lieu of favors, we added on the Midnight Diner Stop and that was best! Guests cannot stop talking about the amazing food even two weeks after the wedding. If we were to get married again (to each other of course), there is no doubt that we would celebrate at RILC!

I wish I could give this place 5000 stars. Before, during, and after our wedding, every single person at this venue did literally everything they could to make our day perfect. Their level of service is unparalleled, and their attention to detail is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
While the venue itself beautiful, with picturesque grounds and tasteful, rustic elegant décor, it’s really the people there that make this place so amazing. The owner, Perry, is always making upgrades to the property. The coordinators, Heather and Jamie, were quick to respond and did so with an enthusiasm that made planning stress-free. The maître d', Jason, is a wedding ninja. Our day was executed perfectly under his leadership. The chefs, bartenders, and bridal attendant were all professional and lovely. Even the waitstaff is personable and well trained. Everyone who works there made us feel special.
The planning process was a joy. They incorporated our family traditions and little details that made the space feel like it was “ours”. They arranged every detail ahead of time and thought of everything, right down to the drinks we’d like delivered to us immediately following the ceremony.
The wedding itself was executed seamlessly. Even last minute changes due to weather were handled calmly and confidently. It was obvious that the leadership at this venue clearly communicate to their extremely well trained staff, as nothing was overlooked. Rock Island handled all the timing of the day and made sure everyone and everything was in the right spot at the right time. Even our other vendors mentioned how lovely they were to work with.
In reviews, I generally try to highlight both pros and the cons so people can make an informed decision. I can honestly say I cannot think of a single additional thing this venue could have done better. I cannot say enough good things about Rock Island Lake Club and the people there that make it such a perfect place.

We can't say enough about Rock Island. From our first tour with Emily to all the help Heather gave us through multiple meetings and e-mails over a year and a half (seriously, she is a coordinating rock star) to the big day where Tina and Mike took care of the bridesmaids and groomsmen in their separate areas and Jessica ran the ceremony for us amazingly, the entire staff at Rock Island was as responsive and flexible as they could be. Like I said, heather is an amazing coordinator and Mike is everything you could possibly want in a maitre'd. They worked with us on all our menu requests and every other weird thing we asked for to make our day as perfectly "us" as it could be. And enough can't be said about the food... it was all amazing, our guests are still telling us about how mind-blowing the food was and wishing they had another wedding to attend there. Quite a few guests said ours was the best wedding they ever attended, and that was in no small part to the staff at Rock Island and everything they do. The grounds are beautiful as well, and we felt completely at home while we were there. We've already recommended Rock Island to three other engaged couples we know because we'd love to go back as guests ourselves!

Rock Island Lake Club was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. We keep saying that every wedding day comes with some snags but with Rock Island Lake Club everything was covered and the day was perfect. The service we received was incredible. The food is to die for - all of our guests keep talking about how great it was. The venue is stunning and all of the people that we worked with were absolutely amazing. Heather was so fun to work with to plan our big day and responded quickly to every little thing that we needed. Jess made sure our ceremony was flawless. Michael was so accommodating and made sure that everything was just the way that we wanted it every step of the way. And Sofia was there for me with anything I needed all day long - including Tylenol when I got a headache!. Absolutely worth every penny spent! I only wish that I could do it all over again.

It's been nearly a month since our wedding at Rock Island Lake Club and my husband Jeff and I cannot stop talking about what an amazing day it was! Heather was really wonderful at guiding us through the planning process, always checking in and offering tips and guidance whenever we needed it. As we got closer to the wedding and the day of, Jason, Michael and Martina were on top of every detail and even knew how to put my mind at ease when rain was in the forecast for our ceremony (though it luckily held out!). Throughout the day, the service was absolutely amazing and our family is still talking about how attentive the staff was. The service, combined with a beautiful setting, rustic atmosphere and delicious food really puts Rock Island over the top. I can only hope that someone else we know gets married there so we can go back again!

It’s been a week since our wedding day and my husband and I are still riding high from the amazing time we had. That is all thanks to Rock Island and their impeccable team.
Rock Island was the first venue we looked into a few weeks after we were engaged. We knew the moment we walked in through the front doors and met with Jason that this was the place we were going to be married. The venue is light, airy, and absolutely stunning. The food is phenomenal and plentiful (our guests are still talking about it).
Throughout the planning process we worked with Heather; not only was she poised and professional, but we felt like she became a member of our family. She was communicative and proactive every step of the way. We felt taken care of and important. Rock Island was accommodating and wonderful to work with. They literally brought my wedding day vision to life in a way I never dreamed possible.
While everyone we worked with was absolutely wonderful, I cannot say enough about Jason, our Maitre d’. We had the utmost confidence in him throughout our day. His professionalism and wonderful personality eased my nerves and stress and allowed me to be fully present. I was able to take in our whole day and remember each moment, because I knew he had everything under control.
At the end of the night (after the wedding), they boxed up the top of our cake and all of our ceremony and reception items, washed our toasting flutes, took care of the bouquets that were left behind, and had everything ready for us the day after our wedding to pick up. We didn’t need to worry about anything at all and I believe that allowed us to be present in our day with each other and our guests.
To say thank you is just not enough. Words cannot fully express how grateful we are for our wedding at Rock Island. We would not hesitate to recommend this venue and its team to anyone looking to celebrate the biggest day of their lives.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the venue and staff were at Rock Island. From the beginning, Heather was on point. She answered all of our planning questions (types of runners, allergies, etc.) helped us find the best decorations, and walked us through everything to help us feel comfortable.
The day of the wedding was magical. Jason and Tina helped our wedding be the one we had always dreamed of. Tina was attentive all day, and made sure that both the groom and myself had everything we needed. She even kept track of my dress for me and rebustled the dress when it was seeming to droop. Jason was amazing! Just as the outside ceremony was about to begin, the skies opened up and it began to rain. He looked at me and said that he could have an indoor ceremony set up in 10 minutes if I wanted to switch it inside. I opted to do that, and his promise was kept. All the flowers, decorations, etc. from outside made their way inside, and the indoor ceremony looked like it had been set up that way from the beginning. The guests were stunned that what they had seen outside moments ago was flawlessly put together inside in a matter of moments. As a nervous bride, Jason was best maitre d' I could have asked for!
All of our guests were ecstatic about the food at the cocktail hour, especially the bacon station! All the entrees were delicious! The guests raved about the sea bass. One of my favorite parts of the night was releasing the Glow Loons (which I completely recommend!). Jason timed it perfectly, and despite it raining on and off all night, he found the perfect window for us to release them into the sky.
I cannot thank the Rock Island staff enough! It really was the best day ever!!!

Noting short of amazing. It all starts with Heather being completely on her game and making sure that every detail is documented. She answers all of your questions with ease and ultimate timeliness as your approach your big day. She is absolutely fantastic. As you get to your wedding week you meet with Jason and Jess. I cannot speak highly enough of Jason. He is clearly very well regarded by his team and I am confident in saying that he is capable of ANYTHING!!! I was a little nervous going into the week of my wedding bc a lot of the wedding was not being decorated by a florist - it as mostly DIY. Every detail of this setup was accommodated by his team. Not to mention that he makes sure you truly enjoy your wedding. When he is not attending to you and your groom he is making sure that the wait staff is doing more than possible to make your day fantastic for your guests. Also - Tina is so attentive as well. I have a food allergy and she made sure that every dish had No allergens in it. They even sent their staff to the store 3x to get ingredients for a Bloody Mary bc the mix had one of my allergies it it. Amazing service. The day after the wedding, all of our decorations were packed already when we arrived making cleanup so easy. This was he best day of my life and every bride should experience the amazingness that IS rock island.

Jason, Jessica, Martina and Mike and the rest of the staff from Rock Island are awesome! Rock Island is a beautiful venue, has wonderful food, and an unbelievable staff that was super-attentive and really made the day special! We were set up for an outdoor ceremony (people were already seated) and it started to rain earlier than anticipated. In 12 minutes Jason and team moved the ceremony indoors so well and so fast that people thought a separate room had been set in advance.
The cocktail hour (and a half) was amazing. The dinners were fabulous (upgrade to the sea bass - it was awesome).
The attention to detail, responsiveness of the staff and the absolutely beautiful setting make Rock Island Lake Club a great choice for a wedding or any special occasion.

A little late writing this review because it has been so hard to put into words how magnificent our wedding was at RILC. We cannot say enough about the attentive and friendly staff, amazing food and drink options and picturesque location. We knew on our first visit, this was the place for us. From the very start, coordinating with Heather and sitting down with Perry and Michelle at that first meeting we felt right at home.
We got married on December 22, 2016 and boy was it magical. The venue had some of their own Christmas decorations which only amplified the glow of the venue. Our outdoor winter photos were top notch on the outdoor patio and deck.
The venue worked with us in every aspect imaginable. Heather was there to answer any little question we had and also calmed any nerves and uncertainty. Their response time was always immediate and we thank her for being our sounding board. Her advice and recommendations made us feel 100% comfortable with their ability to achieve (and in this case, exceed!) our expectations.
On site that day was Martina, bridal assistant, Emily and Alexis as coordinators and Jason the Maitre d’. They were our dream team. Anytime we turned around they were to help in every way. From steaming the gown to bustling the gown, setting up all of our decorations and details and packing itup after the wedding, gathering family for photos and working with our vendors, they did not skip a beat! Best of all, we were fed and always had a drink in our hand. Jason was a true professional and made sure we had the time of our lives. We could not have picked a better team to oversee our day which made our wedding the most memorable time of our lives.
Family and friends are still raving about our day, the food, the booze and the experience as a whole. Thank you RILC! We hope to celebrate a wedding there as guests in the future.

Rock Island Lake Club is the most amazing wedding venue! We looked at a few venues, but the second we walked into Rock Island, we knew the venue was for us. Every single person we worked with there was extremely detail-oriented, and made the wedding planning process and wedding run smoothly! Our wedding coordinator, Heather, answered every question I had for a year and a half with such patience and expertise, and I couldn't have done it without her. On the day of the wedding in the bridal suite (which I highly recommend doing), we were served breakfast, lunch, and mimosas. My little sister who was a junior bridesmaid didn't want any of the food, so they brought her chicken fingers and fries! Bridal attendant, Tina, helped with every little thing including steaming the bridesmaids' dresses and our robes. She even sewed my junior bridesmaid's straps because they were a little big! Maitre D's, Jason and Mike, made the logistics of the wedding run flawlessly, and were so helpful! Our guests raved about them! It was so nice to work with everyone because they were all so friendly and welcoming! All of the other staff such as the ceremony coordinator, servers, bartenders, photo booth attendant, etc. were amazing as well. Rock Island is such a beautiful venue, and the food was phenomenal. We were able to customize our entire cocktail hour and dinner options. Our guests told us the food was the best food they've had at a wedding, and that it was also the best wedding they ever attended! One specific guest told us he saw that they were serving food at the cocktail hour up until the very last minute! Jason brought us up a platter of food to the bridal suite to eat before speaking with all of our guests, which was such a nice touch. I also have to commend the use of the golf cart for our older guests getting to the ceremony site. Thank you so much for coordinating and executing the wedding of our dreams!

Rock Island exceeded all my wedding dreams! My husband and I were married at RILC on May 19, 2017; we had only toured three venues and immediately after walking into RILC we knew it was the perfect fit for us. Originally, I fell in love with RILC online, but was a little concerned that it was too small for our 175+ guest wedding. Once we visited in person, though, it changed my mind. RILC does not seem like a "wedding factory" like many NJ venues, nor is it a "traditional" ballroom. Instead, RILC offers natural beauty and an inviting atmosphere, mixing upscale features with rustic decor. Every staff member makes you feel like family. Heather, Jamie, and Jason were all a huge help in ensuring that every wedding detail was in order throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, Mike, Jason, Heather, Tina, and the rest of the RILC staff were exceptional to work with. From grabbing us drinks, to steaming our dresses and setting up decor, the staff at RILC handled the tiniest of details. My husband and I were able to truly enjoy our wedding day knowing that they were seamlessly directing things behind the scenes. Over one month later, our guests are still talking about the phenomenal food and service; everyone was absolutely wowed by the pizza to go station at the end of the night! If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a single thing about working with RILC - it really was the perfect place for our wedding!

We recently had our wedding here this past weekend and I can truly say that this venue is amazing. From the food to the service, the staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect from beginning to end. Jason was our maitre d' and he was exceptional. He did everything in his power to accommodate us from the planning of the event to the very end of the night. Jason flawlessly orchestrated the reception to have our guests constantly dancing in between courses. Our bridal suites we had Tina and Mike. Tina was constantly making sure my wife's dress was properly fixed and was constantly attentive to her needs. Mike did whatever he could to help me, whether it was getting my groomsmen ready to making sure my glass was never empty. All of our guests cannot stop raving about how great the party was from the beautiful ceremony overlooking the lake to the endless amount of food during the cocktail hour. Coming from someone who has been in the business for many years, looking back on how the hall operated there isn't a single thing I would change. My wife and I are so happy this was the venue we chose to book and would strongly recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much for everything. Michael and Melissa.

I got married at Rock Island on June 11th and I still cannot stop thinking about my wonderful wedding! Everyone at Rock Island was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had a great day. The bridal suite attendant, Martina was super sweet and so amazing! She was so helpful and made sure all of our dresses were steamed and that everything was taken care of. Jason and Mike were awesome and always made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand and that we were always enjoying ourselves! All of our guests could not stop talking about the incredible views and how amazing all the food was! I highly recommend Rock Island Lake Club!

We had our wedding a few weeks ago at Rock Island Lake Club on May 25, 2017 and it was nothing short of amazing. All I can say is WOW!!! Heather, Jason, Mike, Jessica and the entire staff were SO helpful and were a pleasure to be around. They made our day perfect and everything ran so smoothly thanks to them! One thing that makes them and the entire staff at Rock Island stand out from the rest is you can really tell that they love what they do. They excel at everything they do and take such care into planning every little detail. We are SO impressed with the way that Jason, Heather and staff handled any issues that arose the day of. We had an issue with the bus company (we went with one not recommended by the venue) after they were late picking up our guests, but Jason and Heather were quick to jump on the phone with the bus company and put us at ease. One of my bridesmaids' dresses was too big and Jessica and Heather were on the floor sewing the dress to make it tighter!! Talk about going above and beyond! Staff aside, Rock Island Lake Club is such a beautiful venue. From the ambiance, to the indoor/outdoor space for cocktail hour and the outdoor space, our guests kept saying how gorgeous every room was. Perry and Michele really put their heart and soul into the venue and you can tell!
And last but not least...The FOOD!!!! I can't say enough about the food. Our guests were so full from the 1.5 cocktail hour and were ranting and raving about it! I love how they have such unique options and they pair alcohol which each station. The bacon station with the bacon bourbon shots was a hit!!! The food at the reception was just as delicious and the pizza station to end the night was amazing. THANK YOU a thousand times to Rock Island for such a wonderful wedding day!!! It really was a magical day and we are SO happy we chose Rock Island for our wedding venue!!! We can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Rock Island is truly a gem.

Our wedding was just 2 days ago, and we only had a little over 4 months to put things together. Our wedding planners recommended we meet with Rock Island Lake Club and it was the first venue I visited. I walked out of our first meeting thinking, 'this is going to be the place'. From that point forward, the staff handled things with expert efficiency. They do EVERYTHING to make the bride and groom feel like that nothing else matters but them. It's not just my wife and I who loved this venue; our guests have been raving about the food and service. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our marriage, and I give them my highest recommendation. Michael, Jason, Heather-- everyone at RILC-- you made our day PERFECT!

Getting married at Rock Island Lake Club was the BEST decision we ever made! The staff was so attentive to every detail and truly worked to make all our wedding dreams come true! Having one wedding per day with a rain contingency plan is an added bonus to the amazing cocktail hour, bridal and groom suites, and beautiful venue. Rock Island Lake Club is more than perfect. The grounds are breath taking, the food is amazing, but most importantly, the staff is unreal. A huge shout out and thank you to Heather, Jason, Mike and Tina. Heather was amazing to work with throughout all of our planning. She had a calming affect that made us feel comfortable and at ease. Her attention to detail is crazy! She remembered things that I didn't even remember mentioning. Jason and Mike are the BEST!!! They were extremely caring and attentive all day long. Our day wouldn't have been as great as it was if it weren't for them. We love them. Tina was wonderful, too. She was so helpful and had such a positive, cheerful energy. Our guests were so happy and many of them have called this the "best wedding they've ever been to."

We just had our wedding 2 weeks ago on May 5th, and we cannot thank Rock Island enough for the most wonderful day imaginable! Our friends and family are still talking about how great our wedding was and how awesome the food and drinks were. We knew Rock Island had an amazing package when we signed on, but we really need to use this opportunity to thank the staff who totally went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day was perfect. Of course, I have to thank Heather and Jamie first and foremost, our wedding coordinators whom we met first and primarily planned with. We met Jamie first while Heather was on maternity leave and she was fantastic. Heather, who continued to help us plan and always sent email updates, was absolutely wonderful. She personally made sure that every detail would be exactly how we wanted, was always available to answer questions and responded SO quickly, and helped us out when we had some concerns about the new tables (again, cannot thank you enough for that!). Moving forward to the week of, we met Jason and Mike, the maitre D and his assistant. I have to say...these guys are perfect for their jobs and they love what they do. They made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day of, made sure that we ate (and we did!), and always made sure our drinks were full. Not only are they so professional and good at what they do, but they are SO fun to work and party with. By the end of the night, we felt like we were hanging with friends at their venue. Also have to mention that 100% rain was in the forecast for our cinco de mayo wedding, but Jason was awesome and eased any worries we had. The rain cleared with enough time for the staff to dry off the ceremony area and ensure that we would have our ceremony in front of the lake like we wanted. Finally, we have to mention two other stars of the night: Emily the day of coordinator and Martina, our super-human bridal assistant who was amazing. My husband and I cannot be happier that we chose Rock Island Lake Club as our wedding venue. From the moment we walked in there, a year and a half before our wedding day, we knew that RILC was the best place to host our wedding. Our very first impression of the place, aside from the obvious aesthetics of it being located on a picturesque little lake with dock, etc., was that it was staffed by the most warm, friendly and accommodating people that could possibly exist in the wedding and hospitality industry. Jason and Heather are absolutely, shoot-the-lights-out amazing! Throughout the entire planning process, for a year and a half, all the way up to the date of the wedding, and even through the day after when we came to pick up some of our belongings, Jason, Heather and the rest of their staff were kind, caring and super accommodating. The other unique and "signature" aspect about this venue is their food tasting. Instead of doing a very light-touch quick tasting like most venues do, RILC invites you to a mock-wedding reception that they host for a number of their future brides & grooms. RILC's tasting not only gives you the full scope of the catering you will be experiencing on your wedding day, but it also gives you a sense of how the day of the wedding will go, because Jason explains it to everyone in such good detail while they're eating the dinner course.
My guests cannot stop talking about what a great time they had at our wedding, and I would recommend it to anyone who is hosting a wedding in the tri-state area.

From the moment we walked in Heather made us feel like best friends, she was so warm and inviting and helped me picture our wedding from day one. Everywhere we went after was compared to RILC and namely Heather. In the months leading up to the wedding Heather was out on leave and Jamie was extremely helpful through it all, sending me ideas, coupons that she got, anything she found helpful. The week of we had our final meeting, we packed up our stuff and made the trek up to Sparta where we meet with Jason and Michael. Wow. The details that Jason made sure to keep track of, the easy conversation, the embracing of some of our quirky decor, we knew even before the wedding we were going be at ease the day of. Sure enough the day of we were blown away, everything ran flawlessly (at least on my end, Jason hid it well if it didn't), we made sure to eat, we danced, we relaxed, and we had the time of our lives. Tina my bridal attendant was a God send from the moment I stepped off the bus, she took pictures of anything I wanted to see, she sewed a button back on my dress, and was just always there with ANYTHING I needed before I even knew I needed it. I cannot say enough amazing things about her. Emily was fabulous and made sure our ceremony ran so smooth and everyone knew exactly where to be when. None of my friends believed you could do a rehearsal the day of and she proved them so wrong. As you have read on every other review I have to talk about the food because oh my god, the food! My guests were blown away and rave about the food every time I see them, especially the brick oven pizzas they got leaving the venue. My husband still drools over the thought of the pork belly, and the bacon station was a HUGE hit. Long in short, Heather, Jason, Michael, Emily, & Tina are the people you want on your side for the best day of your life. RILC was everything I hoped for and more, I'm so happy we made the decision to become part of the RILC family. Thank you for everything!!

RILC is both rustic and chic at the same time. Looking down on the tables from the bride's preparation area, my daughter (the bride) commented how elegant it all looked. One of the bridesmaids said, "You got your Pinterest wedding!" Jason, Michael, Emily, Tina, Heather and the rest of the staff were excellent!!! Kudos to them all for their attention to detail, responsiveness to our questions and needs, and making my daughter's special day run so smoothly. The food was delicious, the service unmatched by any other venue I've been to, the venue itself beautiful. Thank you RILC for giving us a truly memorable day! Worth EVERY penny!!

Rock island lake Club was amazing from our very first meeting. The staff is attentive and there to answer every and all questions you have however big or small. Perry the owner made a point to meet us which was very nice, and worked with us to make our big day dreams a possibility. Heather was our coordinator and let me tell you this women is amazing she truly made us feel like a part of the RILC family, over the 13 months after booking until the wedding day she was always available and extremely helpful in every facet of the wedding planning process. Jason was our wedding day go to man and he was so so great he made sure everything ran extremly smoothly. RILC is a finely oiled machine which made us worry free and we were really able to enjoy our day without any stresses. The moment we arrived Tina anticipated my needs and handed me things before I even asked! She was so amazing even steamed our gowns so everyhing was as perfect as it could be. Oh and the food let me just say don't eat for 2 days prior because it only is there an obdance of options from passed o'herdourves to chaffing dishes and so much more. Our dinner entrees were out of this world! All I can say is RILC was everything and more we could have ever wanted. I want to have a party there again very soon! Thank you so much to perry, Lisa, Jason, heather, Tina, mike and all the rest of the staff for making our wedding day the absolute best it could be!

My husband and I got married at Rock Island in October of 2016 and everything went far above and beyond my wild expectations. Perry, Michelle, Jason and the whole staff were nothing short of amazing. They were not only super responsive (jason even gave us his cell phone number to contact him with anything we needed before the big day) but they also anticipated our needs and took care of things for us with other vendors before they even had a chance to become an issue. The food was the best I've ever had, and to this day our guests still rave about our food. You will not go wrong with this venue!

The staff were beyond accomodating from the first time we met with them. The staff's response to e-mails is so quick too which was beneficial when you think of things during the day. Leading up to the event the staff reminded us of things we should be doing 6 months before, 3 months before, etc. The day of the wedding we literally felt like royalty. All things were handled and set up exactly how we had planned. During cocktail hour we were served all items and asked if there was anything else we needed. Throughout the night staff checked in with us to make sure we were okay. We have nothing bad to say. Our guests are still talking about the venue in general as well as the food.

My husband and I had very different visions for our wedding day - he wanted to elope and I wanted a big wedding. Not only did I get the wedding of my dreams but my husband even says he wouldn't have changed a thing! Booking RILC was the best decision we made and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat if we could. We have absolutely no regrets.
There are so many things we can rave about... The venue itself is incredible - from the impressive food options and endless upgrade options to a romantic, lake-front property that is to die for. It was the perfect balance of elegance meets rustic that is so hard to find in a NJ venue.
Our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. We didn't even include any upgrades besides the bridal suite and uplighting but some people said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. People also remarked about how relaxed Tom and I both I looked throughout the entire day and we have RILC to thank for that. The staff will exceed your expectations, making you feel like king and queen for the day. They truly want you to have a stress-free day and will do whatever is needed to make your dreams a reality. Everyone is so down to earth and kind. We even caught the owners Perry and Michelle busing tables and making cheesesteaks during cocktail hour! Heather was amazing throughout the entire planning process. Jason (maître d'), Mike, and the bridal attendant Martina were with us every step of the day to accommodate all of our needs and ensured that the day ran flawlessly (or at least it seemed that way to us)! Some of the girls even helped fix some of the floral arrangements that didn't turn out as I envisioned. The entire staff was amazing and I can honestly say that I'm sad that we don't get to work with these great people anymore.

Now that the honeymoon and the holidays are over, I can sit and reminisce about our October wedding day at Rock Island Lake Club. I have to go all the way back to the day we chose Rock Island. When we went to Rock Island Lake Club, we knew we wanted to have our reception there. It has the rustic feel that I wanted while still being classy and polished like my husband wanted. The lake and the outside areas were so unique and really drew us to the location.
The planning was so easy. Whenever I got stressed out about something, I emailed Heather, and she had just the answer to ease my mind. The whole staff is so friendly and makes you feel like you are part of their family.
The day of the wedding was beautiful. From the time we were getting ready in the bridal suite to the time we left late at night, no one could possibly be hungry or thirsty. All of our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was and how professional and inviting the staff was. Tina was my attendant and she was beyond sweet. Everyone went so out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Perry, the owner, even helped throw leaves over us for one of our pictures. We were chatting with him at the bar at the end of the night while everyone was getting into the shuttle and we felt so welcome right until the last minute.
I wish that I could go back to that day and live it over. We drove by Rock Island the other day and I almost teared up. Please, one of my friends get married there!

Besides the gorgeous views the service is absolutely impeccable. Perry, Michelle, Jason, Heather, Emily, Alexis and all the staff at Rock Island will go above and beyond to make your wedding day as stress free/magical/personal/special (however you want it to be) as possible. They were so accommodating with everything I threw at them and they really know how to make the whole day about you and your groom! Jason was our maitre d, Tina was my bridal assistant, and they were really just on top of everything. The day went by so smoothly, not a single bump in the road! They are also so great at helping you stay on top of things throughout your wedding planning by sending you emails regarding payments and other vendors you should have at a certain point. They really know what they are doing here! As a bride, you want to be stress free, and this venue does just that. We were so impressed with Rock Island Lake Club from our very first consultation. We left without committing but as soon as we got in the car we realized how much we loved RILC and sent a deposit to save our date. We were looking for a laid back but elegant venue and Rock Island really delivered. The property is gorgeous and nothing like many of the popular NJ catering halls. We loved the bright and airy feel of the ballroom and the beautiful wood accents in the cocktail space. The last weekend in September blessed us with a perfectly crisp fall Saturday evening and we were able to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Everyone we worked with throughout the process was kind, genuine, and accommodating. We felt like family from day one and felt completely comfortable with our whole team come the day of our wedding. Everything ran so smoothly on our big day and if there were any problems, we remained blissfully unaware. We accidentally forgot to include a groomsman and his wife in our table assignments (wedding brain!) and the staff at Rock Island handled it with grace and professionalism and tucked them into the table we would have put them at. We didn't even find out until the next day when we laughed about it with our friends. My husbands boutonniere got squished during our receiving line and Jason found another flower and put it back together for him without even asking. As the other reviewers have mentioned, the food was phenomenal and our guests are still raving about it. All of our vendors were so happy to be working with the staff at Rock Island Lake Club, which is a true testament to how great they are. Many thanks to Jason, Heather, Jamie, Perry, Michelle, and all the amazing staff who worked so hard to make our wedding dreams come true. We would recommend this venue to anyone!

Stop searching now, you have found the perfect venue! Rock Island Lake Club was everything we could have hoped for and more! The style of the venue was the a perfect combination of rustic elegance we were looking for when deciding on a place to host our wedding. We got married the week before Thanksgiving and we knew the weather could be bad during this time of year; this was another reason we loved the venue because the option to have the ceremony inside was just as beautiful as the ceremony option outside by the pretty lake. The decor of the venue made it easy to not have to bring much else in, there was beauty in everything they had there and it was completely our style. From the moment we arrived in the morning (to get ready in the Bridal Suite), until the end of the night, the service was impeccable! Everything we could have needed or wanted was there for us, we were truly taken care of. ALL of the staff were amazing! They were so attentive, detail oriented, nice as can be, and honestly helped to make our wedding day a carefree one for us! We received nothing but compliments on the food and the service from all of our guests as well and everyone is still talking about it. I can genuinely say that Rock Island's staff and location made our day the most perfect, stress free, fun day it could have been! Thanks Rock Island!

The minute we stepped into the Rock Island Lake Club in March of 2015 (3 months after getting engaged), we knew this was place for us!!!! The scenic landscape and the one wedding at a time philosophy were what hooked us in. Personally, we have always hated the idea of getting married in a stuffy wedding hall. Rock island lake club feels like you at someone's beautiful, newly renovated home on a private lake. This past Friday we had our fall, Halloween weekend, dream wedding! Every single detail was perfect! The owners Perry and Michele are wonderful. Heather, Tina, Jamie, Mike, Jason, and even Lisa in the business office were all a pleasure to work with! We cannot say enough good things about our experience working with this great team of professionals to make our day a reality. They all worked so hard and even helped with the bustle on my dress! The whole weekend we were getting calls about how people loved the food, the ambiance, and the wait staff. We had 5 separate couples tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Hands down, our expectations were exceeded! If you are a rustic bride and groom like us who love personal attention and amazing food, look no further, the Rock Island Lake Club is your venue! You will not be disappointed.

Our wedding at Rock Island Lake Club was beyond anything we could have expected. We couldn't be more thrilled that we were lucky enough to have our wedding here. The expert staff helped guide our wedding day so it was perfect. They thought of everything - and it shows!
From the moment we toured the venue, we fell in love with everything about it. This isn't your typical NJ wedding venue….it is the perfect balance of rustic and modern. The service before, during and after our wedding was exceptional. Truly beyond anything we could have hoped for. We were assigned a dedicated coordinator to help figure out logistics of the day and we had frequent communication with Heather and Jamie to make sure we were prepared heading into our big day. In the days leading up to the wedding, the RILC team's can-do-anything attitude was amazing. The team showed genuine interest in our wedding, making sure everything was taken care of and organized. On the day of our wedding, the maitre d, Jason, flawlessly orchestrated every detail so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. He made sure the day was perfect. Tina, the bridal suite attendant, was a life-saver – miraculously cleaning my shoes and dress that got a bit of dirt on them when I was in the woods for our first look and expertly fixing my make up after it ran a bit after the ceremony.
Not only did our guests rave about the venue (and the food!) but so did our vendors. RILC provides a ton of food options - making it easy for us to have something for everyone . The food was perfect - our guests raved about everything from the bacon station to the margarita station and even the pizzas at the end of the night as our guests headed home. Everything was cooked and displayed to perfection.
Every single staff member at RILC went above and beyond to make our wedding day the day of our dreams and we will be forever grateful. Thanks so much RILC!

Where do I even start with how amazing rock island was?! I booked my wedding venue 2 years in advance. I worked with Heather for the majority of the time. Heather was a god send. I can be a very high stress person and she kept me calm at all times. She answered every single email I sent promptly and always with a pleasant tone. Towards the end of planning she felt more like family than just my wedding coordinator. The week before the wedding I switched over and started working with my maître d' Jason. There's no way to describe Jason with any other word but perfect. He was extremely organized, friendly, and calming. He made mine and my husband's big day a dream come true. He was on top of every single detail. Anytime something needed to be done, Jason was right there. I'm not even sure if anything went wrong that day because everything seemed to go perfect from what I was aware of. He made you feel like you were home. Me and my bridal party decided to do the bridal suite package the morning of. We arrived at rock island at 9am and had our hair and makeup done there. We were provided with breakfast, lunch, and endless drinks. Tina, my bridal attendant was amazing! She was so incredibly sweet! She steamed all of our dresses (including mine!) and attended to every single request with a genuine smile on her face. Aside from rock island's AMAZING staff, the food was impeccable. Two weeks later I'm still receiving compliments on the beautiful venue and delicious food. I would absolutely not change one thing about my day. It was the greatest day of my life and picking rock island to host my wedding was the best decision I have ever made. Thank you so much to Heather, Jason, and all of the Rock Island staff!!

Rock Island was the first venue we looked at and ended up being the only venue we looked at. From initial meeting to the final second of our reception, every detail was absolutely magical. Through planning, Heather was responsive and accommodating. She helped keep me on track and offered suggestions as needed. She even gave me a great idea of buying fuzzy blankets for guests and emailed me when they went on sale to purchase them! Just above and beyond. We met with Jason and Emily on Wednesday before our Friday wedding. At our final meeting, I took a deep breath and knew everything would be taken care of. As a control freak, it was so freeing to hand over control to Jason and Emily. I cannot say enough about the team at rock island (especially Jason and Emily). They truly act as if your wedding is the only wedding of the year. What I love most about every single person from the top down is how human they are. By the end of the process, you feel like they are family and they are just so easy to work with. Genuine, kind, authentic staff.
I could really go on and on but Rock Island sets the bar high for NJ wedding venues. It is clean, airy, romantic and unique. My guests were blown away by the food, setting and service. Do not hesitate to book your wedding at Rock Island, and if possible have an on site ceremony (the best!!). They will make your day perfect and you will not have to worry about a thing.
