Our wedding at The Riverview was an absolute dream! We simply could not have asked for a more perfect venue or location for our wedding reception. Riverview was the first venue we toured, and we had a remarkable experience meeting with Maureen and discussing the wedding of our dreams. We left there with two other local venues to tour, and made our way back to Riverview. The other venues simply could not compare or compete with what Riverview had to offer and the beautiful venue! We knew instantly that we were in good hands.
Our wedding-coordinator, Kayla, was simply amazing. She was so attentive to detail and very responsive. She is so personable and friendly, and made it a true pleasure and joy to plan our wedding details with her. She made it such a seamless and smooth process, and everything happened so perfectly the day of our reception thanks to Kayla and the bridal team. Our two bridal attendants were very sweet and friendly, and always made sure that we had a drink in our hands and ate every food item that was served.
The food was top notch and simply exceptional. We loved how our bridal attendants and Kayla stopped us at every point in the night when a new meal was served to ensure that we sat down and ate. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have eaten the entire evening as we were having so much fun. Our guests raved, and continue to rave, about how exceptional the food was.
Our review could go on and on describing simply how amazing, wonderful and incredible the entire team is at Riverview, and the top notch venue for a dream of a wedding. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Every detail and aspect that Riverview had to offer exceeded our expectations, which resulted in the wedding of our dreams and a perfect wedding day. We keep reliving the evening in our minds and are forever grateful for Riverview. Thank you, Riverview, Maureen and Kayla for making our wedding day truly amazing, special and unforgettable. I can not thank this venue enough for how amazing they made our wedding day. From the first day, they were so professional and on top of every detail. We were a little nervous to plan a wedding in a shorter period of time, but the process was so easy and seamless. Our coordinator Meghan was the absolute best, so much so, I want to do more events just to work with her haha The rest of the staff was also fantastic, I could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend this venue !! -

Our Wedding
The Riverview was the most amazing wedding venue we could have ever dreamt of! We highly recommend this place to every couple looking for the perfect venue for their big day and here’s why:
• PRICING was SO reasonable, the packages you get for the price you pay is truly unbeatable. You get an open bar, a multi course meal (served or buffet style - we opted for served), a FOUR tiered cake, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, and SO MUCH MORE.
We had a guest list of 200 people attending our wedding and this venue made our dream wedding not only a possibility, but a lavish reality without forcing us to spend our whole life savings!
• SERVICE was absolutely impeccable. From the minute we set foot into the venue till we walked out as husband and wife, we were treated like royalty every step of the way. Not only did they pamper us as the bride and groom but they ensured that every single family member, our whole bridal party, and each individual guest had every single thing we could’ve ever asked for or needed on our big day.
KAYLA, MEGHAN, the coordination team, the bridal attendants, the bartenders, and the whole staff ensured that our wedding played out without a hitch. When my husband’s suit tore right before the ceremony, MEGHAN was on deck with a sewing kit within seconds to save the day.
No detail was forgotten and KAYLA and her team made sure any last minute details and requests were delivered to a T.
We always felt nothing but cared for and like the whole world revolved around us. Our multicultural ceremonies flowed seamlessly (which is so hard to do with numerous Indian ceremonies and American ceremonies on the same day). The staff was educated and so respectful for our traditions.
• FOOD - where do I even begin with the food? The Chef knows what he’s doing. Every appetizer, hors d’oeuvre, entree, side, pastry, and bite was made with love and careful precision. The chef was so thoughtful and curated a menu of not only delicious timeless wedding staples, but he sprinkled in the most delightful Indian dishes to appeal to every taste (and dietary restriction) in attendance. Numerous guests commented on how every dish served was a hit.
• THE DRINKS were flowing all night. From welcome drinks to the open bar, we told our guests to come thirsty and the venue DELIVERED. The BARTENDERS were so skilled and they made sure each (puppy themed) signature drink they served represented the love we have for our 2 sweet boys in addition to every drink they concocted throughout the night.
• THE VIEWS were unparalleled. With the Farmington River as the ultimate backdrop, the venue made our early spring wedding look like a fairytale. We had nothing but positive feedback from our guests regarding the beautiful venue.
In summary, we have nothing but high praise for this venue and our big day would not have been as perfect without the Riverview or their trusted vendor recommendations! -

The most amazing weekend!
Our wedding at The Riverview was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives, and we honestly cannot stop reliving how perfect everything felt. From the moment we started planning to the very last song of the night, every detail was handled with so much care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Kayla, our coordinator, was nothing short of amazing. She made the entire process feel easy and enjoyable, always one step ahead. Her calm, confident presence made such a difference, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. Brittany, the assistant coordinator, was equally wonderful and so attentive, kind, and supportive every step of the way. On our wedding day, not only did we have Kayla and Brittany, but we also had Cam and Tara, two more bridal attendants that were absolute lifesavers. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure we could truly be present and soak in every moment. I honestly don't think I turned around once without them handing me food or drink! The service was outstanding across the board. The waitstaff was incredibly professional, fast, and attentive, making all of our guests feel so well taken care of. And the food, wow! It was beyond delicious. We are still hearing from guests about how amazing every course was. It truly exceeded all expectations. Nicole and Will at the bar were fantastic, friendly, efficient, and so fun. They kept the drinks flowing and the energy high all night long, and our guests absolutely loved them. We have had so many people reach out to us since the wedding saying it was one of the best they have ever been to from the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything. That says it all. The Riverview and their entire team made our day feel effortless, beautiful, and unforgettable in every possible way. We are so incredibly grateful and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation! -

The Riverview location, staff and environment was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. From the second we stepped into the lobby on our first visit. To entering the day before for the rehearsal Meghan, Kayla, and staff were kind and helpful the entire time! The Riverview stole our hearts as the first venue we looked at and after only looking at one other place we knew we were already set. Having two attendants and the coordinator the day of the wedding made us feel like we were taken care of, and not looking or asking for anything the whole night. Our guests are continuing to rave about the food, views, and attentiveness of the staff still. We cannot thank the Riverview enough! -

Our experience with The Riverview was incredible from start to finish. The process of booking included a detailed tour of the venue and a thorough review of the terms and conditions at a meeting to sign the contract, leaving us confident that we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Our tasting event was a wonderful chance to see the team in action and make some decisions about our own menu based on what we did and didn’t like. We worked with Kayla and Meghan as our coordinators, both of whom were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to take advantage of their expertise based on experiences with past weddings but still had the flexibility to customize the details of the day so that it didn’t feel like a “cookie-cutter” event. And the physical space is truly beautiful!
Our planning experience was wonderful, but the experience with the venue and team on the day of our wedding was exceptional. Meghan’s positive but firm leadership kept things moving smoothly and between her and our attendants, Cam and Felicia, every detail was attended to! They were prepared for everything, even wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, and last-minute requests. We did quite a bit of DIY planning and customizing, but on the day of, we did not need to lift a finger! We were especially impressed the the special attention paid to our priorities. My husband and I were excited about our menu and prioritized food during our planning meetings. At our wedding, the venue made sure we had plenty of opportunity to eat, but the excitement of the day took away our appetite. The Riverview team packed up all of the food we couldn’t eat and sent us home with our leftovers (plus some!) so that we still got to enjoy our meal!
Another item worth noting is that although two weddings took place that night, we never would have known it! We could not hear the other wedding in our ballroom and never encountered the other group during the entire time we were on site!
In short, planning our wedding at The Riverview was an amazing experience, and the wedding day itself was even better! I’d encourage anyone to book! -

The Riverview took care of our every need. Kayla was so great to work with she was great with communication and always had the answers to our questions. Our day went perfectly thanks to the amazing staff at the Riverview. Our guests loved the service, food, cake, and Italian cookies. The cookies especially were such a hit! I would choose the Riverview as our venue a million times over!

My husband and I were married at The Riverview last October, and from the second that we stepped into the venue, we knew it was the one. Start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations in every way.
The staff at The Riverview were phenomenal. They were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but their expertise and support made the entire process feel effortless. They took care of every detail, allowing us to fully enjoy our special day without any worries. Our event coordinator, Kayla, tirelessly answered every question we threw her way.
The venue itself is stunning, and despite having rain the day of, the floor to ceiling windows served as the perfect backdrop for our portraits. The food was also incredible, and we've had guests still talk about how delicious the spread was. There were so many menu options to choose from, and the cherry on top was the ability to swap a traditional cake for an ice cream sundae bar!
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The Riverview provided an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever.

The Riverview exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we met with the staff, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Our coordinator, Chelsea, answered all of our questions along the way and made sure that every little detail was exactly what we wanted. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue is. The guests also really enjoyed all the food, including the hanger steak, pan seared salmon, bruschetta chicken, and ratatouille. The cake was also delicious! We highly recommend The Riverview!! -

My husband and I cannot stop talking about how perfect our wedding day was. The staff at the Riverview are amazing!!! They went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests also could not say enough about how delicious the food was and how the drinks kept flowing all night long. Chelsea was our wedding coordinator and she took care of everything and stayed in constant communication with us throughout the whole process. Excellent experience at the Riverview!
Our wedding was on 11/4/23 at the Riverview in Simsbury, CT. Hiring the Riverview was the BEST decision we made in preparation for our big day! Kayla, our wedding coordinator, was communicative and was sure to answer any question that arose. We were given great recommendations for other vendors as well. Then, on the night of the event, the staff handled everything with such professionalism and expertise! Everyone at the Riverview was courteous, attentive, and reliable! They asked us if we needed anything, packed up food, kept our gifts safe, and made sure that we were happy! We truly felt that we were in the best of hands. The Riverview provides the ultimate wedding experience and we would highly recommend this venue! -

From the first time we walked into the Riverview, it was THE place where everything went right. The months of planning leading up to our wedding, when we had meetings or emails with Kayla and Meghan at the Riverview, it was always pleasant and easy - they were wonderful to work with. Even though the precedent of high quality and extremely pleasant interactions was set, I couldn't have predicted that it could get better. Kayla and Meghan led the way and our personal bridal attendants, Damani and Stephon were like mindreaders, on top of every possible need or want we had and there to provide for us before we even knew what we needed. Everything from hot tea on a cold day to sewing my maid of honor into her dress because of a stuck zipper. Aside from the venue being absolutely beautiful, the food being amazing and delicious and and the price actually being much better than I thought it would be for a wedding of 125, the staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us in every possible way. You will be SO happy you chose this place. I would do it again a million times with them in our corner! -

The Riverview was amazing! My husband and I had our wedding there on 10/21/23 and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Our coordinator Kayla was super helpful with answering any questions that we had and always got back to us in a timely manner. The day of our wedding, Kayla and our assistant coordinator Meghan ensured everything went smoothly. Our two bridal attendants, Stephon and Mackenzie, were wonderful!!! They were both so kind and always made sure my husband and I had something to drink or to eat. Special shoutout to Mackenzie for carrying the train of my dress in the pouring rain and for making it look easy to bustle my dress! All of the Riverview staff did a fantastic job with setting up our decorations for all of the dining tables, the memory table, guest book table, and place card table. Everything was packed up for us at the end of the night and it was really nice to be able to just put everything in our car afterwards. The food at the Riverview was absolutely delicious!!! From the hors d'oeuvres to the 3 course lunch to the dessert, everything tasted so good! We also got the add-on Viennese table for dessert, which all of our guests loved. The Riverview was incredibly accommodating towards food allergies that our guests had and put out labels at the Viennese table of any potential allergens in the desserts. It was a perfect day and we cannot thank the Riverview enough for making it possible! -

The Riverview was great to work with. Leading up to the wedding (06/04/2023) we had no problems contacting our coordinator Adam and he was able to answer any questions we had. The rehearsal ended up on a Thursday night for our Sunday wedding, but we were able to drop off most of the decor items and go over the ceremony plans. We had DIYed centerpieces and ceremony decor and they were able to put it all out for us day of (pre-assembled) and helped put everything in our car the night of the wedding. We also had 2 bridal assistants that checked on us throughout the night, making sure we had food and drinks and helping bustle my dress and get tissues when I cried happy tears. Overall, the venue was beautiful, and we were glad we could have the ceremony outside but protect our guests from too much sun, or any possible rain. Other venues having poor back up plans for rain is a big reason we did not select some of the others we looked at. The Riverview helped to make sure things when exactly how we wanted through the night, and we were happy with how everything turned out. -

Perfect day
From the start this venue was perfect. Maureen was attentive and helpful with any questions we had. As the day got closer we attended a tasting. We left the tasting a little worried because most of the appetizers were cold at the tasting. The day of the wedding the food was perfect! Our wedding at The Riverview was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we booked the venue, we knew we were in good hands. Adam, our day-of coordinator, was exceptional. He was always there to lend a helping hand, and his responsiveness was truly impressive.
Not only was the venue visually stunning, but the food was also exceptional. The culinary team went above and beyond to create a fantastic menu that left our guests raving. Our special little request for "fried pickles" was top-notch!
One of the standout moments was when we had to make a quick change in plans due to unexpected weather. The staff at The Riverview handled it seamlessly, accommodating our needs without any issues. Their flexibility and willingness to make our day perfect, despite the circumstances, were truly appreciated.
We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. Every aspect, from the attentive staff to the beautiful setting, exceeded our expectations. Our wedding at The Riverview was absolutely perfect. As soon as we spoke to Maureen we were sold on booking this as our venue, and it was the best decision we could have made. It was the perfect October wedding space inside and out. The foliage for our on-site ceremony could have been out of a magazine. The ballroom with its floor to ceiling windows is so romantic. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! Kayla our coordinator was extremely organized, had answers to every question we had, made sure our special day went seamlessly, and she always checked in to make sure we were having fun! And I can't say enough about the food and drinks, OMG! Our guests are still raving to us about everything from the cocktail hour to the cake and the spectacular dessert table. There was not one thing served that wasn't amazing. The Riverview was just so phenomenal and will always have a special place in our hearts. We can't recommend it enough! -

I wish I could give it more than five stars! This venue was amazing and everything I had ever hoped for. Kayla is the most fantastic day of coordinator. She is prompt, knowledgeable, and beyond helpful. The venue is breathtaking. The service is spectacular. My guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The night started and ended perfectly, and I am beyond happy with my experience. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Simsbury/ Hartford county area, this is it. No need to look further. From the moment we drove up to The Riverview and stepped inside, it was stunning. We visited numerous venues and The Riverview was our last venue we visited and we knew it was the place we wanted to get married at. The staff is very friendly and we met with Maureen our first visit and she’s great. She definitely sold us on the place. The venue is so well maintained and beautiful. They have 2 ballrooms, one on each side with separate bathrooms. We got married during COVID when the restrictions were just starting to lift right beforehand so we were actually the only wedding there that day. Adam was our wedding coordinator who is very friendly and attentive. He made sure all the details were taken care of. It was pouring on my wedding day but we were still able to get married outside under their tent. Adam was very communicative via email even at midnight the night before the wedding when I was worried about the rain and the tent. The day of the wedding I had 2 personal bridal attendants who were amazing, they made sure I had something to drink and eat right after the wedding ceremony during cocktail hour when we were taking family photos. They also tended to us through out the whole reception. Our bridal suite also had refreshments and hot hors d’oeuvres. Adam also made sure my parents and family were well taken care of through out the wedding day. My guests raved about the food both during cocktail hour and the reception. They fully enjoyed the open bar and also complimented on the wedding cake which is included in their wedding package. We also did the ice cream sundae bar which was a hit and an exit station of breakfast sandwiches for the guests on their way out of the wedding. The staff takes care of all your decorations and also packs everything up for you at the end of the night. The Riverview really knows how to take care of you and makes sure your wedding goes off without a hitch. Thank you Maureen, Adam and all the staff at The Riverview for an unforgettable wedding! -

The picturesque location by the beautiful Farmington river was amazing to see and they were unbelievably helpful in planning out the wedding and really made it a stress-free process. I can’t express enough how happy I am that I chose this venue. We had to postpone our wedding because of the pandemic and Maureen and Adam made it a seamless transition and never seemed bothered by my ten million questions. Maureen and Adam were easy to talk to and always paid attention to any concerns we had. One of our vendors was a little overbearing the day of our wedding and Adam kept it professional and was able to handle the situation well. We joked about it after. You get a great package deal when you book with the Riverview. Highly recommend! -

From before we even booked the riverview made us feel special. Throughout our two year engagement and a pandemic both Adam and Maureen kept us in the loop and optimistic. As we got closer they continued to blow any expectations out of the water with their responsiveness, helpfulness, and ideas! Our day of was amazing and perfect thanks to the venue and staff! They were so attentive and helpful! I couldn’t imagine any other venue leveling up. Oh and their food is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. BOOK THEM NOW if you want the most perfect wedding! -

The Riverview was a great location that my husband and I happily chose after looking at eleven different venues. The staff at the Riverview bent over backwards to make sure that everything played out perfectly on our wedding day.
My husband and I were especially impressed with the little touches - the food all being brought out at once, the unveiling of the tables after cocktail hour at the same time, the presentation of our different late-night stations, I could go on and on! Every detail was thought of. After working in a few upscale restaurants for a few years, I have developed a pet peeve - I absolutely hate when my water glass is empty. I noticed many times that water glasses were constantly being filled and same with the wine glasses! My guests also never had an empty alcohol glass either because the bartenders were efficient and quick! The food was spot on - you don't get to try many of the main meals during the tastings that you get to go to after you book, but believe me, it's okay that they don't. Their food is absolutely amazing!
One thing that has stuck in my mind was the fact that your wedding day is SUPER chaotic - everyone wants to talk to you and pull you in a million different directions. My wedding planner made sure that I ate. She actually in fact had no problem telling people that I needed to go eat instead of talk (she said it in a very nice way, not rude at all.) It was much appreciated!!!
I would definitely recommend The Riverview to anyone looking for a wedding venue that cares about you. -

My husband and I just got married a week ago at The Riverview and can't say enough great things about it! When originally looking into venues, we knew we didn't want a "Christmas threw up" kind of feeling - you know, tons of red and green, Christmas party vibes, even though we were getting married ten days before the holiday. The Riverview decorated tastefully outside and in the lobby, but doesn't do anything for the actual parts where you get married and celebrate, which I appreciated so I could decorate it to fit our needs and wants! Our coordinator got changed a couple times throughout the year, but we handled it in stride and put our faith in the fact that we were in good hands - and that was so true! Adam ended up being our coordinator and he was amazing, even though we only dealt with him for a few weeks leading up to the wedding. He made sure everything went smoothly and communicated whatever we needed to his assistant and two bridal attendants, who also accompanied us the entire day. All the details were correct the day of our wedding - from placement of our special tables to the uplighting we chose for dinner and dancing. They even cut nice big pieces of our cake for us to enjoy. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful place to get married and celebrate, anytime of year! We had our ceremony inside and it went seamlessly and was more beautiful than you probably imagine an indoor ceremony is. The pictures are also gorgeous by the beautiful river, despite being December! Thank you Maureen, Adam, and all the rest of the amazing staff!! -

There are way too many difficulties in life so picking your wedding venue should not be added to that list. My husband and I got married on November 10, 2019 and the experience was way beyond 5 stars! From our first visit and meeting with Maureen Huntley, we knew THIS was the place to make it happen. The Riverview is so smart and has figured out a way to be reasonable and give you absolutely everything you need. Venue is beautiful and the individuals who work here are top notch. They will make you feel like you are the only people that matter and follow through on all promises. Food is incredible, options aren't boring and the decor speaks for itself. The venue that made my wedding dreams come true!! I cannot say enough about the Adam and the team at the Riverview. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was the place we would say I do. Every moment felt like we were family. The planning process was simple and easy, the food was amazing, our guests are STILL talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. With a 21 person bridal party and 210 guests, Adam knew when we needed a break! He always was right there for every step of the way. I was sad to end the night knowing all the meetings, all the laughs would end!!! If you have the Riverview, PICK ADAM BLUTT!!!!!! He is amazing! And ask for his brother Andrew too! He is the man! The bartenders, the servers, it was literally the best place I have ever been to!!! We love them! -

The Riverview was truly a wonderful and magical venue for my late August wedding ceremony and reception. The employees of The Riverview are all extremely hardworking, caring and personable, which made wedding planning easy and fun! Rachael went above and beyond during all stages of the process: she thoughtfully executed all the little details and requests we had (signature drinks, cake design, uplighting, timeline – everything was FLAWLESS and we didn’t have to worry about a thing). She volunteered to personally set up our donut wall during our reception into the heart shape design we wanted which shows how much she cares for her brides and loves her job. She kept me calm through the night and even wrapped one of my bridesmaid’s foot that got cut up when a glass broke on the dance floor – Rachael, I can’t thank you enough for your quick action and kindness that evening!
All of the staff during my wedding was truly on point. The bartenders were excellent, serving staff efficient and the bridal suite attendants were genuinely gracious making me feel so special which is all a bride hopes for on their big day. The food was wonderful and the cake was extremely tasty. We are still getting compliments from guests saying it was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to and nothing went wrong. It was honestly the best day of our lives and we have Rachael, Maureen and everyone at The Riverview to thank for the happy memories that we will cherish forever.

The wedding venue of our dreams!
I don’t know how I can come up with words to truly convey what an amazing wedding venue The Riverview is. Maureen, the general manager is a rockstar! She made sure every last detail was perfect for our big day. She was so easy to work with and helped us to plan everything flawlessly. She and the Riverview staff exuded professionalism and they were so attentive to our guests and ensured everything was taken care of the entire night. The venue itself is spectacular. Nestled right next to the the Farmington River, the outdoor area and patio have beautiful views and were the perfect area for our wedding guests to enjoy cocktail hour. The indoor cocktail hour setup was equally as fantastic. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing and moved quickly. Our appetizers were delicious. I vowed to not eat before our dance and formalities because I did not want to spill on my dress, but one bite of a bacon wrapped scallop and that changed! After cocktail hour we emerged into a beautifully setup venue that took my breath away. It was perfection. The table arrangement and settings were exactly what I envisioned. The food was out of this world! I was able to eat at my wedding, which is rare for some brides, but thankfully I did because my filet was to die for. Maureen and her staff were on top of everything and every time my bustle on my dress fell, Maureen appeared magically behind me with an emergency kit to pin it back up. At the end of the night, the staff packed up everything for our so we didn’t have to lift a finger. The entire night was a dream. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding venue for the most amazing day of our lives. I can’t thank The Riverview, Maureen and all of the amazing staff enough for making our day perfect and ensuring we had the wedding of our dreams. I would more than recommend The Riverview to any future brides and grooms looking to have a beautiful venue and a carefree night enjoying your wedding without a single worry! -

The Riverview made the entire process super easy. From the moment we had the tour, we knew we wanted to have our reception there. The last couple weeks, I felt like I had so many questions and Adam was helpful through it all. After we dropped off everything for the reception, I was so excited when we walked in on our wedding day to see how they set it up. It looked amazing. Clean up was a breeze- they packed all our things up for us and helped my uncle bring it to the car that night.
The food was delicious, we did cupcakes instead of a cake, delicious as well, the service was great, and the entire venue- inside and out is beautiful.
They have a bridal suite which was nice to have before we got out to cocktail hour. There were drinks and attendants who helped us out a ton! Also, it has it's own large bathroom, which is helpful for a bride in a gown and some bridesmaids who need to help her :-)
Also, there is a bride attendant to check in that everything is going well, that you have a drink, and anything else you need.
Again, they made everything EASY which is what you want on a day that has a lot going on! If your date is available, I would book them! -

We cannot say enough about The Riverview – not only did they give us our dream wedding, but every step of the process couldn’t have been easier. First of all, it’s SO great that everything is included – a beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony, the spacious and gorgeous reception hall itself, the food, AND alcohol. Just knowing that all that stuff was taken care of by an experienced team that specializes in event planning made the entire process that much easier. It allowed us to actually enjoy the planning process, which can sometimes turn an exciting event into something pretty stressful.
The outdoor space for the ceremony sits right on the Farmington River, and our photographer was able to capture the scope of the whole scene and its picturesque setting (we were on the east side). The food was delicious, especially considering how many people they serve on a regular basis and the size of the operation (we recommend the bacon wrapped scallops, goat cheese medallions, crab cakes, and pepper sirloin crostini). They also throw in some really cool extras on the “chefs table” like fried calamari and steak tips, which was a pleasant surprise after expecting just the normal cheese, crackers, and veggie spread. There’s alcohol all over the place; aside from the open bar, you get bottles of wine on every table, a champagne toast, red and white sangria, and a specialty drink of your choice (we went with Star Wars themed drinks for May the Fourth, and they were happy to oblige). We went with a DJ and florist off their vendor list, who could not have been more professional and perfect. Just a side note – if you’re going to venture beyond their vendor list, we’d suggest that you check to make sure they’re familiar with the Riverview – it really helps that our vendors knew the space so well).
Chelsea, our planner, was SO helpful and really put us at ease, even when the unexpected happened. It’s so nice to know that we had an experienced and confident team taking care of all the little stuff you can’t prepare for, and we’re so grateful for their help. Honestly, we can’t imagine a better venue choice than the Riverview, especially in their price range. So many people have been coming up to us in the weeks since the wedding talking about how spectacular the whole event was. Our experience as the bride and groom was such a crazy whirlwind that one of the first things we said to each other the next day was that we hope to be invited to someone ELSE’S wedding at the Riverview, so that we can experience it again as guests! -

I couldn’t have been more pleased with how our wedding turned out. The riverview was perfect, Chelsea was so helpful through the process of everything, and my husband and I got so many compliments on the food and how beautiful the venue was. We had our ceremony on site as well, and I loved it, the setup was perfect and they set up the decor for the ceremony exactly the way we wanted. It was absolutely perfect, especially for a Christmas time wedding, they had so many beautiful decorations that captured everything I had envisioned. -

I had the pleasure of having my wedding at Riverview on 9/30/2018 and it was beautiful. My wedding coordinator Chelsea Davis was on top of everything and very pleasant to be around. She never looked stress but offered helpful advice every chance she could. She was absolutely a blessing to have on our wedding team. The day went smoothly with little to no issues. This place is gorgeous and the food is amazing. My guest where full before the main course arrived. Maureen Huntley, General Manager who booked our wedding ensured that we got the date that we needed. Maureen was also very pleasant to work with and handled everything with professionalism. I really can’t thank them enough for making my day amazing... -

Melissa Sent on 08/26/2018This venue is absolutely incredible! The building and grounds are immaculate, the food is delicious, and the staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable that it made the whole wedding process so easy!
From the day we toured this venue, we were impressed. We got to come back many times, for different showcases throughout the year, to pick our menu and sample cake options, to show the parents, and to do our rehearsal the day before. Our wedding consultant, Jodie, was so fantastic! She answered our questions within a day, was open to any requests we had, and did such a beautiful job setting up the materials we gave her (many of which I, feeling overwhelmed, just said "Please arrange this how you think would look best"--and boy did she ever!). The bridal attendants on the day of the wedding made us feel like royalty, especially the one (I'm so sorry not to remember her name, because she went above and beyond) who brought the bridesmaids and myself drinks and even napkins when we were all sweaty outside (summer wedding).
All of our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the wedding was! The food was so great, the process ran so smoothly, and we felt like the most important people in the world for that night. I am SO glad we chose the Riverview to do our wedding. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful venue!!! -

The moment we got there we were created by Jodie, our event manager and Erica and Allie, our bridal attendants. Erica make sure I had my drink of choice in my hand and at my seat at all times. The food was excellent and all of my guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I highly recommend this venue!

Kristina Sent on 12/13/2017We are so thankful that we found The Riverview and chose to have our wedding there! We had our ceremony there as well under the beautiful tent outside. From the moment we walked in the doors we felt like this was the perfect place to get married! The lobby is absolutely stunning and decorated according to the season. We were greeted with mimosas and amazing staff. They were so flexible with what we wanted to do on our day but provided guidance and structure to make sure everything flowed well. The setup of the venue is beautiful and has a great flow. The bridal suite is gorgeous and spacious. The 6 bridesmaids got ready there while my husband and I had our first look. They include a day-of-coordinator who made everything so easy and fun- she was very responsive to emails, too. There were even 2 maitre'ds who helped take care of everything. The open bar is included in the head price and our guests were pleasantly surprised when they were greeted with champagne as they arrived. The banquet room and grounds are unbelievable for photos. I love the huge windows, high ceilings, chandeliers, and view of the Farmington River. The food is absolutely amazing; our guests loved it. The cake was included, too, because they have an in-house baker! It was not only beautiful, but also delicious. We had the best day ever at The Riverview and wish we could do it all over again!

Rebecca Sent on 02/09/2017My husband and I were married at The Riverview on 11/4/16. We ended up at this venue after a "it could never happen to us" event. Our original venue had a fire and we could no longer have our wedding there (we only had 6 months to change locations!) After visiting another venue in the area I quickly emailed The Riverview to see if by chance we could go right over and check it out - as we were pulling in their manager Stephanie emailed me back that it was a perfect time and to come right in! My now husband, mother, sister, and I fell in love immediately. It's gorgeous inside and out and every single member of the staff was courteous and kind. We signed our contract on the spot and had a tremendous sigh of relief that we were now back in business for getting married in November.
Our event coordinator Jodie was wonderful - she answered all my questions almost immediately and always put my mind at ease.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly it was incredible. We arrived around 4pm for our 6pm wedding so we could take pictures and do a first look. We got to use both bridal suites so my husband and I could hide from each other while we were getting read. The food from what I heard from our guests was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately with our emotions running wild my husband and I only tried some of it but what we did try we loved. I even had a guy from work take a picture of his plate to send to his daughter to brag about how good the food was! And speaking of food they were able to use our BBQ menu from our previous location - we were all happy campers! The cake was amazing, we had funfetti - which is SUCH an awesome option as it is my personal favorite.
Our "attendants" for the night were beyond helpful bustling my dress and were always there if you needed them, I didn't need their help all that much but they always checked in to see if I needed anything.
The entire night (from my point of view) ran seamlessly perfect!
