November Wedding

We went to do a walk through at the Rivers Club with little idea of what to expect. As soon as we met Ashley and the whole team there we were blown away. From the kind greeting we received to the organization of the club we knew we had found our venue. The lead up to the wedding was easy. Anytime we had questions or something came up, we could easily rely on getting answer from Ashley, Cailin or the team. I was unsure what to expect when I dropped off all the decor for the reception. I showed Ashley and Cailin our vision and they delivered. We had the opportunity to do a walk through of the ballroom before guests entered and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Not only did they get our vision, they far surpassed anything I could have imagined doing in my own! The day felt so easy for us. After our honeymoon we learned there were a few hiccups that day but Ashley, Cailin and the team handled it and allowed us to truly enjoy our day. I can not recommend them enough!!!

Fantastic experience with Rivers Club

I had my wedding reception at Rivers Club in May. Everything went so perfectly! Cailin and Ashley and their whole team were so attentive on the wedding day and I knew everything was under control. The ballroom was gorgeous and the hearth was perfect for the cocktail hour. I’m so thankful I chose this venue.

Fabulous Rehearsal Dinner

The Rivers Club was amazing for our themed rehearsal dinner.
Cailin was so responsive and easy to work with. The chef and bartender personally met with us to customize menu and drink selections. Everything went off without a hitch! The food and drink were delicious and the service was top notch. We would definitely use the Rivers Club again for any event.

Exceeded any and all expectations

Thank you thank you thank you to Ashley and the staff at Rivers Club! We were absolutely blown away by everything for our wedding. The staff went above and beyond to make our day the absolute best day! Everyone was amazed by the space, food, and drinks! We are so thankful for all you did to make us feel so special.

absolutely amazing!!! Super cool and different modern venue - great cool downtown vibe - loved everything - the food was outstanding, the service , the bar/drinks unsurpassed! Ashley was very organized down to the last detail, made everything so easy and great! highly highly highly recommend!!

Bride - Wedding Venue

The Rivers Club was an amazing wedding reception mostly thanks to Amanda, the Private Events Director. I was kind of all over the place at the start of planning and she helped to organize all of my ideas and bring them to life the day of the wedding. My goal with a venue was somewhere that took a lot of the planning out of it for me and that's exactly what the Rivers Club did! The food was amazing, the space allowed for an awesome dance party, while also having space for older guests to hang out in the bar area if dancing wasn't their thing. I am so grateful for Amanda for making our wedding day beyond perfect and cannot recommend this venue enough!

Truly Amazing Venue and Great people to Work with

I truly cannot say enough about the Rivers Club for a wedding venue. We had such an amazing experience working with the club and specifically Amanda. We heard about the club through a family member when we first got engaged. We met with Amanda for a tour of the club and venue. We were greeted with a celebratory glass of champagne to celebrate our special occasion. From that first moment we knew the Rivers was where we wanted to get married. We not only were able to have our ceremony there, but we were able to seamlessly flow into our cocktail hour and into the fabulous reception.

Amanda was there every step of the way helping to provide her input and make our dreams come true. She listened to what we envisioned and made it into our reality. Her kindness, flexibility, and creative eye helped to make our wedding be what it was. She stayed after work to allow us to come in and review all of the details and would even reach out if she had an idea. It was awesome to have such a great person to work with and she made it easy. It was a blast and I am so glad we got married here, it was honestly one of the best decisions we made.

Not only did Amanda play a role in our wedding, but Jim Gelzheiser, the executive chef made such a delightful dinner. All we heard about the food was good things from our guests. They have so many options and will work with you on your choices to make sure it is what you want it to be.

I cannot say thank you enough, It was a perfect day, and it will be a memory that will stick with us forever! Thank you :)

The Rivers Club is an absolutely amazing venue. My mother and I went venue hopping one weekend in Pittsburgh since I was living out of town. We visited around 8 places and were not finding anything that we liked and we were losing hope. I felt that I didn't have too strict of a criteria. I basically did not want pillars in the room (so that everyone could see what was going on), did not want to have to do much to make the room look nice, and wanted a great coordinator. I was told that when you find the place, you'll just know. I didn't believe that, but when I walked into the Rivers Club, I couldn't believe my eyes. The place is amazing in aesthetics and you don't have to do anything more to make the place look nice. There were no pillars in the main room. The wedding coordinators are incredible, attentive, and listen to the bride and groom. They will coordinate with you for whatever you want. I had no doubts that the day would go smoothly. The food is excellent. I was so excited for the appetizers and my meal. The staff is joyful and makes you feel good about everything. The Rivers Club exceeded expectations and made my wedding day amazing. I had no worries about the day and wish I could have another wedding there because of how amazing the people and this place are. My mother and I could not stop talking about the place before and after. We received numerous compliments from the guests about how great the venue was and that they couldn't believe that we found such an amazing place. Thank you Rivers Club and thank you Michele.

The Rivers Club is a wonderful place for a wedding reception. We looked at approximately 10 places for my daughter’s reception. The Rivers Club was the last place we had on our schedule to view. The space had recently experienced a renovation. It was bright and modern with plenty of space. Upon exiting the elevator there is an area where we had a photo guest book, the card/gift table and large oversized games supplied by the Rivers Club for guests. The cocktail hour had its own space with tables and chairs plus a player piano playing as guests enjoyed drinks and hor’dourves. The reception room had plenty of space for guests to mingle and dance. Working with Michele made planning the wedding easy. Her experience and expertise kept us calm throughout the process. Michele answered all of our questions and cried right beside us during the tender moments of the reception. The wait staff was wonderful and experienced. Guests commented on the great personalities of their servers. So many people told us that it was a beautiful venue and I would have to agree. I encourage everyone to check out the Rivers Club for their next event.

I just had my reception at the Rivers Club. I dealt with Michele , one of the planners. She was amazing to work with. Very accommodating, responsive and knowledgeable. The venue has been remodeled and it's simply beautiful inside. The staff the night of the reception was top notch and the food was to die for. I had guests tell me it was the best wedding meal they ever had. Unbelievable. When I priced out other venues , the Rivers Club was reasonably priced and what I loved is you paid per guest , alcohol was included in the cost. From beginning to end the experience was delightful. Book at the Rivers Club ! You will not be disappointed!!

The Rivers Club is a fabulous venue, if you are looking for a downtown Pittsburgh wedding reception, for a reasonable price. My husband and I worked with Michele, and she could not have been more flexible and professional. She made sure every detail was in place prior and I had no worries about the my reception, knowing she was overseeing the details. The additional staff at the Rivers Club were also friendly and fabulous.

Amanda and Michele were both wonderful to work with. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day before and the night of our wedding. They kept everything running smoothly. Plus, the Rivers Club is so beautiful, it didn't require much decoration at all. It is a wonderful venue that I would recommend to anyone. You can't go wrong with Amanda and Michele at your side!!

From the minute my husband and I walked in to the River's Club we knew this was the perfect venue for us. This space has so much to offer and was very modern and unique . The pub was perfect for cocktail hour and the ball room was stunning. They have a piano just outside the pub where there are a few couches which looks casual but still classy. We worked with Amanda for our wedding and we could not say enough great things about her. She was THE best. I cannot imagine another person being as perfect at her job as she was -- I'm not exaggerating either. Between all of the texts, emails, calls, questions, changes, etc she was always there smiling and willing to do whatever we asked to make our wedding day perfect. We had ''the most cookies anyones ever seen'' at a wedding and the River's Club displayed in the most beautiful way. I was very impressed! I can honestly say that the River's Club was and still remains the perfect venue. The entire staff was fantastic between bartenders to servers they were all on point and kind. The food was AMAZING. That was the one thing I really wanted for our wedding and the River's Club completely delivered. The guests are our wedding are still talking about how elegant and wonderful our wedding was and a lot of that is thanks to Amanda and the River's Club. Do not hesitate to call and look into this venue. I firmly believe you will not be disappointed. I could fill this whole box up with good things about the River's Club!!

My husband, our guests and I all loved our wedding at Rivers Club! It was amazing to be able to get married in an impressive city setting, inside a skyscraper. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same building, but in different areas, so while we had easy access to hotels downtown and guests only had to park in the city one time, the event had a great flow and it never felt like we were cooped up in a room. The space is pretty and neutral, leaving a lot of opportunity to bring in your own personality and decor, making the space appropriate for a range of budget needs. Amanda, our coordinator, stuck the perfect balance of giving us options and asking for our input, and taking care of things that needed taken care of without a consultation. The behind the scenes set-up and tear down was all handled for us- even our florist was impressed. The food was delicious- we got no complaints and many compliments. They were so accommodating for our guests with allergies, and permitted the traditional cookie table without blinking. Amanda and the rest of the folks at Rivers Club were amazing team members on our Big Day. I highly recommend holding your event at Rivers Club!

The Rivers Club was fantastic for a wedding. We had our ceremony and reception here and everything was perfect. There was plenty of space to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guest particularly liked the pub area, which had craft draft beer. Kari was wonderful to work with, and was there the day of to make sure everything went smoothly. The food and service were both amazing. I really couldn't recommend the Rivers Club more.

The Rivers Club was fabulous! We had our reception here and it couldn't have been better. Amanda Rapach was wonderful to work with. She was truly dedicated to making our day great and she was very responsive throughout our planning process. Amanda is a true professional and really make the planning easy. The food was great and so was the cake. The Rivers Club is a great venue!

My husband Mike and I had our wedding reception at the Rivers Club on Saturday August 17, 2013 and every experience we and our families had there was truly amazing. When my mom and I first visited the Rivers Club and met Amanda, we immediately felt welcome and relaxed. Before our first visit at the Rivers Club was even over we both agreed we had found our reception venue.

Working with Amanda was wonderful; she is so organized and easy to work with. Amanda kept me on track throughout my entire wedding planning process and as our wedding date came near, she helped with every little detail. On our wedding day, our reception looked exactly the way we imagined it! In addition to Amanda, every staff member we met at the Rivers Club was kind and helpful.

Our guests also enjoyed the Rivers Club. We received many complements on the food, especially the hors d’oeuvres. Our wedding cake, which is included in the Rivers Club wedding package price, was delicious! Jennuine Cakes was also very easy to work with and did an amazing job with our beautiful wedding cake. Our guests raved about the taste and some even asked for a second piece!

My husband and our families are so greatly pleased with the Rivers Club and would recommend anyone to have a wedding reception or event there. Our reception was beautiful and a huge success thanks to Amanda and the entire Rivers Club staff. Thank you, Rivers Club!

I would give the Rivers Club a 6 in each of these categories if I could--- they did an excellent job ensuring that things went flawlessly on our wedding day, and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out!

We had the privilege of working with Kari. We met her once when we were touring the Rivers Club, and then the rest of our correspondence was via email as I was planning a Pittsburgh wedding from San Francisco. By the time the wedding week rolled around, I felt like Kari and I were great friends, as she was always very prompt, thorough, and honest in her responses as we made plans for the wedding.

Not only did she help us with obtaining some specific types of wines for our wedding, but she also ensured we had an air-conditioned room to put together the flower centerpieces the Friday before our Saturday wedding. While my parents and aunt were putting the centerpieces together, Kari and the Rivers Club staff were so accommodating to my family, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Later that day, when she realized I had made a bit of a goof with the seating chart, she promptly called me and she took care of my goof by printing off an additional table number so that I didn't have to worry about it.

On the day of the wedding it seemed as though everything went smoothly. The food was excellent, and the Rivers Club staff was also very nice and friendly. The Rivers Club did an amazing job laying out the cookie table--- and Kari even came over to let me know that it was done before people started to devour the cookies so that I could see it.

The cake was included in the wedding package, and my mom has said so many of our family friends have commented on how delicious it was. My husband and I are excited to eat the top of it, which Kari and her team had all packaged and chilled for us as we departed after the reception.

My husband and I, as well as our families, couldn't be more pleased with the Rivers Club. They were excellent!

The Rivers Club was fantastic. Our coordinator Denise was brilliant. From the minute we walked into the club we were sold. Nothing we had seen before compared in the personality that the club has. It was really nice to know that everything would be handled in such a professional way. On the day of the wedding Not a single thing went wrong. The food was amazing and the staff more than helpful. I will have to find more excuses to go over there now that it's all over with!

Everything went so smoothly from the planning to the big day. Emily was great to work with and gave a lot of help when needed. We could not be happier with our choice for our reception. Would highly recommend to anyone. Great place!

The experience at the Rivers Club was 100% positive. Emily was wonderful, and helped us to plan a wonderful wedding! The food was excellent, the service incredible, and the cake was beautiful! We also found the cost to be considerably lower than some other venues in downtown Pittsburgh.

We were especially impressed with how up front the Rivers Club was regarding pricing (NO hidden fees or minimums). They were very flexible and allowed us to do a consumption bar, which saved us a lot of money.

I recommend the Rivers Club without hesitation. It was wonderful!

My husband and I are so glad that we chose The Rivers Club to have our wedding reception. Emily Faust was awesome. She took care of every single detail and made all of my dreams come true! Our wedding was everything that we have ever dreamed of and more! We are still hearing people talk about our wedding. The food was absolutely amazing! The cake was excellent. We even drove an hour to get the cake again for my birthday! The service, the decor, the food, the staff, etc...everything was great! I have recommended The Rivers Club to everyone I know! We had such a beautiful wedding reception..one that we will never forget.. :)

The River's Club made everything so easy. I've recommended them to every one of my recently engaged friends. Pricing was very reasonable, considering what you get out of their package: a dedicated reception event planner, the reception space (which is not shared, they only do one even at a time), the food, the bar package, the cake - they also took care of linen rentals and lighting for an extra cost. As opposed to a few sites we interviewed, the River's Club was not only open to unique, custom ideas - they welcomed them and were excited to help (and I had a lot!!). The bar was stocked with our special alcohol/beer requests at no extra charge. Emily Faust was our event director and she was exceptional - she worked with me for at least a year in advance (including several status meetings in person) and made sure that on the actual wedding day, I was not worried or bothered with a single thing. They also do not charge hourly to rent the space. We got to start whenever we wanted and we weren't rushed out at the end of the evening - our reception lasted as long as our bar package was booked for. The food was great as well. I'm still recieving compliments from our friends and family that our wedding was one of the most fun and 'put together' weddings they've ever attended. I attribute a lot of that to the River's Club.

Emily Faust is a goddess sent from heaven. Emily handled every detail of my reception and it turned out to be AMAZING. At our initial consultation, Emily asked for us to state what we envisioned our reception to be like. Then she quickly turned and said, just imagine if you didn't have to worry about making sure this & that was taken care of....because her job was to ensure we had the perfect memorable evening. And that she did....We didn't have to worry about a thing. The ambience was spectular, the food delicious, the beverage plentiful. My guest raved all night and are still raving about our reception. Emily not only added the finishing touches to memorable day...it was stress-free for my husband and I. I highly recommend the River Club and Emily.

My husband, Jayson and I are very happy that we selected The Rivers Club for our wedding day! We could not have chosen a more beautiful and elegant place! The food was outstanding and the dance floor was nice and spacious for our guests to dance literally ALL night long! The help provided by Emily Faust at the Rivers Club (she was our coodinator) was absolutely exceptional! She was very friendly and helpful, also curteous and professional! We also feel it was very well priced for the exquisite service provided! We highly recommend the Rivers Club and we know that anyone will be just as happy as we were! They made our day the most memorable ever!

Wonderful Venue! A Definite Thumbs Up!

I was recently tasked with planning a luncheon to follow my Mother's memorial service. I live out of town and was in the throes of the first months of a new school year and feeling very overwhelmed. I wanted everything to be perfect, but felt very indecisive and a bit scattered, which is not typical. Ashley Barna, the wonderful River's Club event planner, was very patient with me and step by slow step, listened to my thoughts and laid out what she thought would be best, communicating regularly with me along the way.
The event could not have been better! The room was lovely, quiet, and so well planned out as far as set-up was concerned. The lunch buffet was fantastic! We received many compliments from our guests on the excellent quality of the food. The bar service was attentive and efficient. From the moment I walked into the room, I felt completely at peace, and confident that everything was taken care of. I cannot thank Ashley and her wonderful staff enough ,for making our event a huge success! I would most definitely recommend The River's Club for any special event you plan to host!

Excellent in a Bind!

We held our rehearsal dinner here this past weekend. Ashley Barna is a saint and helped us through our event together at the last minute. Beautiful wedding at Rivers Club

Our wedding at The Rivers Club on 6.26.21 turned out lovely. Guests were very complimentary of the club’s food. We were also pleased with the bar service at our wedding. Everything came together quite nicely for our ceremony and reception. Ashley, the club’s wedding coordinator, helped us organize both. She set up the reception site and made it beautiful. She and the other employees helping out with our wedding were friendly and accommodating and did their best to make our day run smoothly! We got many positive reviews from friends and family. Both my husband and myself would recommend this venue to future brides and grooms.

My now-husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at the Rivers Club, and overall we are really happy with the service that we received. The food was fantastic (even better than it was at the tasting!), their newest wedding coordinator Terry Chavara is very professional, responsive, and easy to work with, and the dinner staff was amazing! Terry was very flexible with our requests, which we were very pleased about, and she and the staff needed no direction when it came to setting up for the big day. We simply dropped off all of our decorations and such the night before, and it was all set up perfectly for us the next day, no questions asked! I can't tell you how much easier they made my day!! The only gripe that I have is that they completely re-decorated their ceremony room after we booked, and painted all of the walls a dark orange color. It isn't hideous, but orange is my least favorite color ever so I wasn't exactly thrilled. Their ballroom was left the same (and it's gorgeous!), so I could live with the orange color of the ceremony room. Overall, very happy with the Rivers Club! Definitely recommend it!

Best Wedding Venue!

Celebrating my wedding reception at the Rivers Club was the best decision! I loved working with their amazing event coordinators, Ashley and Cailin. They completely brought my vision to life! The food was AMAZING, everything was right on time, and the space is beautiful. Our guests had nothing but great things to say. If you are are looking for a wedding venue, I HIGHLY recommend the Rivers Club!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Rivers Club. From the first time we toured the venue, we were in love. Amanda really sold us on not only the venue, but also the space downstairs in the Oxford Centre Lobby for our ceremony. During our planning, Michele became our main point of contact, and she was equally helpful! After our tasting we were SO excited for our food at the wedding as all of the food we tasted was delicious, and we were not disappointed! Our guests raved about our food afterwards. They were also super accommodating with one of our guests with a peanut allergy. We did have a small scare when we discovered on our own that the piano that was downstairs for our ceremony had been sold and no one had mentioned it to us. This was a little off-putting, but Michele and staff were quick to right this error and rented a beautiful piano for us for the day of! After that small bump, everything sailed smoothly. Michele was very organized and responded to all of my questions as the day got closer. Everything looked gorgeous the day of, and we couldn't have been happier. Even though the Club transformed completely from the time we booked to the time of our wedding (as we booked right before their remodel), we were not disappointed. Michele, the wait staff, bartenders, and staff were fantastic during our entire event, and kept smiles on our faces the entire time! Although a little pricey, I would definitely recommend Rivers Club to anyone looking for a beautiful reception (and ceremony!) space :)

We booked the Rivers Club for our March ceremony and reception. In October, there were articles in the paper about Oxford Centre (where the club is located) being sold, so we asked about any changes during our tasting. We were very relieved when we were reassured that there may be some cosmetic changes, but that it would make the space look better and that our wedding would not be affected.

Once our invitations went out in January, we called to ask about making a guests' dinner vegan. At that point we were told that the dining room where we had planned our ceremony would be under construction and unable to accommodate us, however we could hold our ceremony in the Oxford Centre lobby (complete with food court). After voicing our concerns and much back and forth, the Rivers offered to set up the ballroom for our ceremony, then flip it for our reception. We loved the dining room for our ceremony because of the windows overlooking the Mon & incline, so were less excited with the ballroom's windows overlooking the parking garage. Additionally, since we were only informed of the change when we called to ask about a guest's dinner, we lost our confidence that any challenges would be communicated and handled appropriately at our wedding. We were absolutely devastated when, at 10 weeks before our wedding, we had to make the decision to completely change our venue. However, we were very thankful that the club allowed us to terminate the contract.
