A Fantastic Experience!

We had an amazing experience with this team! They were incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate every dietary need our guests had. After our tasting, they handled everything seamlessly, which made our wedding day feel effortless. We’re still hearing rave reviews about the food, and it means so much to know our guests truly enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend!

Their food is AMAZING!!!!!

I'm a wedding planner that has worked with River Valley Catering a few times now and their food is seriously some of the best wedding food I've ever had - and I've had a lot!!! They are always great at communicating leading up to the wedding day and the day of as well, and I enjoy working with them each time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a caterer!!

Highly recommend

We had River Valley for our wedding at Woodhaven Weddings + Events and we had the best experience!! All of the staff were so amazing & easy to communicate with. They were so accommodating to us, especially since we currently live out of state! We had the New York strip, crab stuff salmon, and vegan stuffed peppers & everything was SO delicious! Everyone loved the food & we still get compliments!

Large portions, great to work with

We had a great experience working with River Valley Catering! They were partners with our wedding venue (Woodhaven Weddings + Events) and they were fantastic to work with. Good communication. Good food. The portion sizes were massive! Your guests won't go home hungry.

Guests said it was the best wedding food they've ever had

River Valley Catering served food at Woodhaven for our wedding. The meal itself was phenomenal and the team that we worked with was great and made everything very stress-free. We served a buffet of steak, pasta, broccoli, potatoes and buns. We had tons of people talking about how good the food was the night of the wedding and after the wedding too!

Great Food, Great Company

Wonderful catering company! Our wedding venue only allowed certain caterers, and we are so glad River Valley was one of them! Our initial tasting was very informative - and everything was delicious so it was tough to make decisions. The events staff reviewed table setup, linen options, glassware and dessert service in addition to helping us narrow down food options. We switched from a buffet style dinner to a plated dinner and there were no issues accommodating that request. we even rescheduled our wedding twice and the team did not miss a beat. We had a more detailed planning call about 2 months ahead of our big day, which was super helpful for locking in details. Great food and very responsive team.

Truly Incredible

The entire process working with RVC was absolutely incredible. Everything from the first emails to the food tasting and planning meetings, down to the day of experience. I cannot count how many guests told us this was the BEST wedding food they have ever had (we did the champagne chicken and tenderloin beef tips)! We used RVC for our butler passed appetizers, plated dinner, all our linens and plate ware, and the late night pizza. Thank you to Karla and Emily for everything! Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone. Cannot rave enough!

Everything was executed perfectly!

9/19/20 wedding
The food was delicious and we had them serve our drinks too since we wanted an open bar. We were able to rent linens and place settings as well. They did a great job and instead of a wedding cake we also did a cheesecake bar through them too. Everything was executed perfectly! They came out the evening before to get set up. They even let us take the leftovers!

Delicious food

River valley has a big variety of options for you to serve at your wedding. We loved that we could do something different and be very comparable in price as the typical chicken entree. We did prime rib and tropical mahi mahi--we are still craving these dishes! All of our guests loved the food as well. You will not have a bad meal with River Valley!

Everything was perfect!

We threw a bridal shower for my daughter on the patio. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was incredible!!! It was literally perfect and my daughter was elated!! Thank you!!

Would recommend!

We hired River Valley Catering for our wedding in June 2019. They were one of the recommended vendors from our wedding venue and after considering menus, pricing, and customer service, we decided they were the best fit for us! Our tasting at the restaurant made the choice even more clear; they were so friendly and accommodating - willing to customize for us and honest with their opinions about what is popular or how many people would eat a late night snack, etc.. On the day of the wedding, service was smooth and on-time. Guests commented on how good the food was and people asked us if we had the recipe of the chicken dish we had ordered (champagne chicken). We were very happy with both the service and quality of the food (which had to travel about an hour to our venue). The only small hitch we had was that one of our menu items was incorrectly labeled on the buffet as having chicken, which was unfortunate as that was our vegetarian option so those folks didn't know it was safe to eat. Obviously, this was a small oversight and if we had walked the buffet ourselves (we got table service for head table), we probably could have caught this and quickly resolved. Overall, we were very happy with our selection of River Valley Catering and would definitely recommend them to others looking to cater their wedding!

River Valley Catering was so wonderful to work with. They were so helpful with the requests or changes as well. I loved all the food and have been told by many of my guests that this was the best wedding for they have ever had!!! I you are even considering them, hire them!

People are still talking about the food

River Valley was incredible to work with. We had multiple allergies to work around and they took it in stride. The food was such a hit people are still talking about it and some wanted doggy bags! Don't hesitate for one second to use River Valley.

Wonderful food and people!

Loved working with River Valley Catering. They were very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to truly care about their couples. The food for our wedding was so wonderful and we received many compliments from guests! Emily and staff were amazing at making sure our reception ran smoothly. Great food and great service makes for amazing wedding

After tastings with several caterers for our August 2019 wedding, we decided upon River Valley Catering. We made that decision based upon the quality of food, recommendation of our venue (Villa Bellezza) and the way we were treated at our tasting. The food was delicious, the portions were good and the presentation was nice. But equally important, Emily and others at RV, gave their opinions when asked, were flexible with options and sincerely wanted to make it the best experience for us! And that is exactly what they did! They came and set up the linens on the tables early so we could start the decorating early. They served bubbles to our guests during the receiving line, set up and passed appetizers, served the meal and bartended all night long. Always quietly and efficiently in the background. Our guests commented on how good the food was and they even served just to me (the bride) mashed sweet potatoes, my favorite. Because as they said repeatedly, the bride gets whatever she wants! Highly recommend them for your next wedding or event!

Worth the price!

Amazing food and staff

We knew right from the tasting that we set up that this catering company was going to be a HUGE hit at our wedding!! Through the whole process, Emily responded quickly and worked with us to make sure it was everything we wanted. The day before they came to the venue and set everything up. The day of, the food was absolutely amazing!! Our guest all said it was the best food they've had at a wedding!! We had the mushroom risotto, champagne chicken, pork Marsala, and broccoli. The servers were incredibly nice and stayed until the very end of the night. I can't say enough about this company, the service, and food!!!

They were definitely the right choice!

I am so, so glad I went with River Valley Catering for my wedding. Wonderful staff and incredible food. I was planning an outdoor wedding in River Falls, WI from TX. Sue and Betty were absolutely wonderful and made my experience as a (somewhat frazzled...) bride really seamless. They were experienced, professional, warm, flexible and patient. They truly went above and beyond to make my wedding a success. The service the day of was lovely - their staff were super sweet and professional. As far as the food, it was very high quality, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. I had many, many guests (including both sets of parents) say that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Personally, that is one of the greatest compliments I could have received as a bride, eager to ensure my guests are well cared for.

I can't say enough good things about River Valley! First off, Sue is AMAZING!!!!! She was great with details and was fun! I expressed earlier in a conversation how I never get any of the late night pizza because I'm dancing on the dance floor. Right around 10 Pm she delivered me my own plate of late night pizza! So great!!!! I can honestly say we had the best wedding food I've ever had. the filet with blue cheese was to die for!!!! Someone compared it to Manny's! Everything was perfect! Thank you so so much!

We loved working with River Valley Catering! From start to finish, they provided great service! Betty and Emily were especially great to work with and listened to all of our requests - they even let me (the bride) surprise the groom with a special salad that we had tried at our tasting, but decided on a different salad for the guests. They were SO helpful and we appreciate all of their flexibility and work to making our day great. Not only is RVC awesome to work with, their food is AMAZING! My husband and I selected Sue, Emily, and their team to serve our guests at our late September wedding at a nearby barn venue. The level of professionalism displayed by Sue, Emily, and their staff throughout the process can only be topped by the quality of the meal they delivered at such a rural venue. Many of our guests commented on how tasty the dinner was, and we loved the high touch service they provided us, including helping us to troubleshoot our reception outline. I'd highly recommend Sue, Emily, and their team, and think River Valley is a great asset to Northwestern, WI wedding venues. Thanks Sue & Emily!

Everyone I worked with at River Valley catering was phenomenal! Their entire team was courteous, organized and friendly. They followed-up in a timely manner and helped me stay on track with the timelines. They suggested meal items when I felt lost, and helped with room layout suggestions since they had worked at our venue before. The day of the event they were there on time, set up everything so it looked beautiful, and were on top of EVERY detail. We literally had to do nothing but enjoy our wedding! We did family style (suggested to us by RVC for our small wedding of 75) and it worked perfectly - it was cozy, friendly, and everyone got their food faster than a buffet. Our guests raved about the food, everything was delicious. On top of everything else, their cost came in significantly lower than many places in the Twin Cities who gave me estimates. I would highly recommend RVC to any bride and groom!

Sue and the rest of the staff at RVC was exceptional to work with from start to finish! My wife and I could not have been happier with our catering choice. The food was exceptional, the portions were very generous, and Sue along with her staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our guests were extremely complimentary of the meals that RVC served. River Valley did everything perfectly! We cannot say enough times how wonderful everything was! River Valley was a breathe of fresh air when looking for wedding caterers. The food was amazing, our guests raved about the grilled salmon and beef medallions. Their signature salad was killer, and ice cream sundae bar and cheesecake was heavenly. Service was on point and everything was smooth and hardly noticeable that all the work they did was happening. The place settings, glassware, and silverware is professional and lovely. I would highly recommend them for your big day. They are more affordable than their competitors and great value and service. I wish I could have that meal all over again.

It is my pleasure to write and thank River Valley for the excellent catering services provided for our daughter's wedding 9/2/17. Betty and Sue were very nice and had great personalities for working with people. From the very start I was confident they would do a good job for us. They were very accomodating to customize for vegan options as well since the bride and groom are vegans. Many of our guests complimented on how great the food was.....petite beef tenderloins, Chicken Bruschetta......I had the Stuffed Vegan red and green Peppers and ithey were AMAZING! The service was great and food served promptly and hot. They were very organized and also answered many of our questions promptly. I would definitely recommend RVC!!!

River Valley Catering exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding in June 2017. We were looking for quality catering at an affordable price and got much more than we bargained for. They were flexible and helpful all the way through our planning process and our guests just raved about the food. I brought in specialty desserts and even had an outdoor soda bar/frozen novelty station and the team was totally accommodating making sure it was restocked and everything ran smoothly. Can't recommend them enough!

What a great company! They worked with us every step of the way to get us the brunch wedding we always dreamed of. They were available right away whenever we contacted them. After our reception guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was!!! We consider ourselves "foodies", so the food was one of our highest priorities during our wedding planning process and we definitely made the right choice. River Valley was the best choice we could have made for our wedding dinner! The food was fantastic - multiple people told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! They were very easy to work with and went above and beyond to cater to our guests with allergies. We chose the Tenderloin Beef Medallions and Crab Stuffed Salmon. My only critique is that it seemed like it took awhile for everyone to be served their entrée. Although, I used to serve weddings so I may have just been very observant. Overall, we are VERY HAPPY we chose River Valley for our wedding!

River Valley Catering exceeded our expectations on every level! From the menu tasting to our actual wedding reception, the catering staff and coordinators were phenomenal! The meetings leading up to the wedding day were very helpful to get everyone on the same page. River Valley is dedicated to making ever bride's wedding vision into a reality. During the wedding day, the catering staff made sure the reception hall was spotless and all place settings and table placements were perfect. AND the food was amazing! Our guests kept raving about the entree selections (bruschetta chicken and the BBQ glazed salmon) for weeks after the wedding! River Valley Catering provided and served the food for our daughter's wedding. It was amazing and we have had several comments from guests saying it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The salad came crisp and chilled while the hot food was served hot and seasoned just right. The asparagus was grilled to perfection and the steak was perfectly medium rare. The service was also great. The staff was professional efficient and everything went smoothly. I did not have to worry about a thing. From our tasting in the beginning and communication throughout the process to the end, we were very satisfied and would recommend River Valley without reservation to host any event that you would have. We would certainly call on them again. We guarantee you will not be disappointed.

River Valley was AMAZING! Our guests loved the food and Sue and Betty made sure that our vegetarian friends were also fed. They checked in on the parents to make sure that they enjoyed their food as well. Not only that, but my stepmom has dairy allergies they made sure that she was able to eat and had special sides for her. River Valley had the best food I've ever had at a wedding and all our guests couldn't believe how full they were after their meal. The desserts they made were a huge hit as well. Very professional and I loved working with them. Their staff met all our needs from catering to bartending as well.

We absolutely LOVED River Valley! They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and executed everything exactly how we had discussed. The response to the food at our wedding from River Valley Catering was unbelievable! Everyone was seriously "over the top" complimentary about the outstanding food we had, and MANY, MANY guests told us this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We were just shocked because it was so unexpected. We knew RVC had received awards for their catering, but after that didn't give it much thought. Then the food was served, and my husband and I were the last ones to eat...not a sit down.. and we walked into the tent and everyone started grabbing us telling us the food was out of this world. We were thrilled! And Betty was just wonderful to work with. We had the blackened salmon, artichoke chicken, gouda mashed, roasted vegetables. I would HIGHLY recommend them and would use them for another event!

River Valley Catering is a delight to work with for events! We had our Company Summer Party at a private residence and this was not an issue for RVC. They were able to work within the space provided. Their staff was very professional and helpful, even offered suggestions about where to have the buffet table and onsite grill. The food was delicious - such a great value!! From the beginning of the wedding planning process, to the day of details, the staff was 110% responsive to our requests and needs. They are extremely organized and made it easy for us to put complete trust in their service. We received so many compliments from guests the day of the wedding including "best wedding food I have ever had" and "we have been to 7 weddings this summer and this has been the best!" Food came out hot, timely, and service was so professional. We got married at Villa Bellezza Winery and had 6 caterers to choose from...I am so happy we made the decision to go with river valley catering and would absolutely use them again if we had the opportunity. The entire team at River Valley Catering were incredible! We did several tastings as we prepared for our wedding and reception. There was NO comparison when it came to the quality of the food, portions being served, professionalism of the staff, and overall value. OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE VENDOR TO WORK WITH!!
We had an Italian semi-destination wedding (we live in Milwaukee, had our wedding at Villa Bellezza in Pepin, WI) and Betty was SOOOO helpful. She worked with our limited in town schedule for our tasting, gave us great ideas and feedback through the whole process, and MOST IMPORTANTLY (you will understand how crucial this is once you start planning) the most responsive of all of our vendors. She responded via call or email very quickly and was always willing to help cater things to our liking. She let us customize a few items on our menu and make them exactly what we wanted. They did butler passed appetizers for us and family style dinner, literally anything we wanted. Betty also referred us to a fantastic cake vendor that we ended up using after many other disappointing tastings elsewhere, and overall she was just so easy to work with. The food at our wedding was AMAZING, a far cry from your average wedding food, and our guests still rave about it!! Not to mention it was much more affordable than the other caterer we were considering. Book with River Valley, and you will NOT be disappointed!!

On responsiveness, sometimes took a little additional time for contacts to get back to me. Otherwise, very satisfied w/service, advice and food quality.

I'm so glad we went with River Valley Catering! They were by far one of my favorite vendors to work with due to their responsiveness. Also, I got so many comments about how amazing the food was - everyone was raving!

Couldn't have asked for a more professional and amazing company to work with. They exceeded all of my expectations. To me, the food was one of the most important aspects of my wedding- I wanted all my guests to find great value in their meal and they most certainly did. I'm still getting compliments on the food over a month later.

Although we planned to do tastings with a few different wedding caterers, we didn't look any further after our tasting at River Valley Catering. The food was absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced. From the moment we met with Betty, we knew we wanted to work with her. She always has a smile on her face and she made the wedding planning process easy and fun! Betty ensured that we didn't overlook any detail and she made great recommendations! She is a true professional and you will leave the experience feeling like friends.
Our guests RAVED about the food at our wedding! My dad said it was the best pork chop he has had in his 67 years:) Many others said it was hands down the best dinner they have had at a wedding.
The River Valley Catering staff were so professional and friendly the entire night of our wedding. The cocktail hour and dinner ran so very smoothly. We couldn't have asked for better service.
We would highly recommend River Valley Catering to anyone! Exceptional service, professional and friendly staff, and outstanding food!

The River Valley Catering Team was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. I was impressed from the start, their professionalism during our tasting was unmatched. It was very evident that they took the opportunity seriously and wanted to customize their offerings to our event. River Valley Catering came the night before to setup and were extremely prepared the day of. The food was a complete success and we heard numerous rave reviews from our guests. I would absolutely go with them for catering if I had to do it all over again!

This was the best food I have ever had. Both me and my husband were extremely pleased with the presentation and the taste!! They made our big day go very smoothly and everyone was served efficiently and very satisfied with their food. It was very easy to stay in contact with Betty and she helped me know when I needed to have stuff figured out and done and helped me through the whole process and was very friendly! I would definitely recommend them!

There is a reason why RVC is #1. Our guests raved about the food and when I returned to work after the wedding my coworker who attended asked me if there was any chance I could get him some more of the beef we had at the wedding. Everyone loved the chicken parmsean and they even talked about how good the salad was. The staff is professional and attentive and Betty Brueske is top notch! I cannot say enough about the staff and how good the food was. I would definitely recommend RVC.

Betty at River Valley Catering was exceptionally helpful throughout the entire process of planning my wedding. We held the reception at a private residence, and she and her team were very flexible with making the facilities work and helping me make sure I had every detail accounted for. The food was wonderful and the portions were very generous!

Such a pleasure to work with. It was such a stress free experience working with them. All of the staff exceeded our expectations! And our guests still haven't stopped raving about the food! It was AMAZING!

Kind of spendy but I have people still talking to me about how amazing the food was. I can't wait to go back and eat it again for an anniversary.

Betty and her team are amazing! We used them for both our rehersal dinner and wedding dinner. Everything was amazing and easy!
