River Run Lodge Reviews

Emily and Zach were great to work with and they have done great work to the River Run Lodge during the time they have been managing it. They were easy to coordinate with and worked well with our wedding planner. They were accommodating with venue visits and meetings as we were from out of town. They also provided some great ideas for how to set up the space and make sure everything flowed nicely. The drink tasting was wonderful. Zach makes some great cocktails. The whiskey basil and habanero margarita were big hits for an 80-degree October afternoon. The bridal suite was a good size for 6-7 people and for hair and makeup to get ready in. There is a nice upstairs area for people who want to step away from the main wedding floor and party. And there were heat lamps on the outside deck which were nice to hang out by in the evening. The fact that River Run included tables, linens, outdoor/indoor seating, and utensils was great so we didn’t have to go through any other vendors. The bar service was wonderful; Zach was out there during cocktail hour and all night tending to guests getting all the compliments on his cocktails. Emily and Zach were also friendly and a joy to be around throughout the whole process and in such a beautiful location.

I had the good fortune to work with Zack and Emily on a wedding this last weekend. As the wedding coordinator, I was impressed with their ability and willingness to provide us with access and help on the day before and the day of. Emily cared about the needs of the bride, and she provided such great help up to the day of the wedding. Zach was onsite all day and handled every request with a smile and willingness to make the day a great one. I would recommend this site for any bride who wants to have a venue that is classy and accommodating!

We had our wedding reception at River Run. It was the PERFECT venue for us following our wedding ceremony at Smith Rock. The staff at River Run were quick, responsive, and went the extra mile to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible. Our guests were in awe of the space with all of the windows, the giant fireplace, and large deck! We ended up needing a server because our caterer was short staffed and they found us one. We made some last minute changes the day before and they made it happen. We could not recommend this venue enough!

We had our wedding last week, and Emily and Zach the managers were fantastic about getting us in and asking if we needed anything. We also did the bar through them and it was fantastic. They are very responsible to email and text which was great. We found this venue 2 weeks before our wedding and needed something indoor with AC because of the wildfire smoke and high temps. The hourly rate is high but worth it to have this incredible venue with huge windows, nice bathrooms and a bride and groom get ready suites.

My husband and I love Eagle Crest resort. He has been going there since he was a baby and the views are spectacular. River Run is a privately owned event center at Eagle Crest resort and we are so happy we were able to get married there. The rain held off so we could have our ceremony outside on the back deck overlooking the Deschutes River and a cliff face. The reception was held inside and River Run has a lodge-like, cozy and warm feeling with the 4-sided open fireplace and upper balcony overlooking the dance floor. The staff at River Run are so friendly and accommodating, especially Susan Perry, who we worked closely with as our day-of-coordinator. Our guests loved the venue (especially those from the Midwest and east coast) because nothing else compares to central Oregon. Eagle Crest resort has golf courses, a spa, hiking trails, sports centers, etc. and is only 15 minutes from Redmond and 30 minutes from Bend. It was a great venue and we were so happy to have been married there!

I am SO HAPPY to have picked River Run for our wedding venue. Susan Perry was AMAZING during months of planning and the day-of -- she was a life-saver on many occasions and we could not have been happier with the way our wedding day went. Susan made vendor decisions a breeze, helped with lots of details that might have been forgotten otherwise, and made it so that my husband and I could just have fun and enjoy our day. We had guests coming from all over the country and we wanted to show them the best of Oregon-- they were all blown away by how beautiful this place is! I cannot recommend River Run, and Susan as an event coordinator, enough!

River run event center is BY FAR the most underrated venue in Central Oregon. The views are spectacular, the customer service is one of a kind, and the value is unheard of. I looked at 20+ other venues in the area, and no others even come close to comparing. Thank you for helping make my wedding day absolutely perfect!!!!

Jean was great to work with. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had and was helpful in finding information for us regarding the surrounding area. She allowed us to come out to the venue a few times before the event to check things out. The site is gorgeous and there is a lot that can be done with the space! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding or event venue.

The venue was clean & beautiful! The staff was friendly & professional to us and our guests. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a big event in the Redmond area.

Not just a beautiful place! River Run lodge was the perfect venue to hold our wedding. The manager, Jean, made us really feel like the day was all about us. She was so incredibly helpful, which was especially important, as we don't live in that area. She had great suggestions of other vendors, which had worked out there before, which ones fit our needs and\or budget. Jean is very organized and everything ran smoothly (even when it wasn't going as planned!)

Jean at River Run Event Center, Eagle Crest helped us with the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The facilities were clean and spacious, with the most incredible view of the river below and deck overlooking it all. She helped us find all the necessary vendors and supplies since we were coming from out of state the day before the event and made it go off without a hitch! She was available day and night to answer any questions and give us a hand planning this long distance event. Thanks Jean!!!

I had a great experience with River Run. I worked with Susan Perry - she was thorough, extremely responsive, and definitely knew her stuff! Obviously, River Run is breathtakingly beautiful, and the view is amazing. Guests kept raving about our wonderful venue choice. But I chose River Run for a few other reasons:
*The indoor area had a lodge-like feel, and was beautiful on its own, meaning I needed very little decor to give it that nature/outdoorsy look I was going for.
*Using River Run is a blank slate of sorts, allowing us to really customize everything about our wedding, from rentals to catering to bar service to linens. It gave us many options when deciding where to spend money and where to skimp.
*Being able to bring in our own alcohol saved us hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars over a traditional venue.
*Since they only do 1 event/day, I was able to have access to the venue all day (starting at 8 am), meaning that setup was relaxed and easy.
*The bridal suite is awesome, spacious, and comfortable.
*Having the wedding in Eagle Crest allowed our friends and family to reunite for more than 1 evening. They all got houses together and made a 4-day weekend of it, which was awesome.

The only issue we encountered was with the A/C. It was a hot day (85 degrees) and it got a bit toasty inside, but that's probably because the guests kept propping the doors open (against Susan's advice). Everything else was fantastic and we would definitely recommend River Run to couples who want a naturally beautiful and unique venue.

The most beautiful venue in central Oregon! The ladies are so knowledgeable and want to help.

River Run provides a beautiful setting for a much more reasonable cost than a lot of venues offer. One of the selling points for us was that we could bring in our own caterers and bartending service. The building is very beautiful, and the outdoor decks really complete the setting. A lot of the places in town are ridiculously overpriced and require you to use their services, which usually aren't that great. River Run allows you to have the gorgeous setting without all that.

My husband and I had to go through 3 separate venue operators during the 9 months or so after we had chosen the event center for our wedding. The final coordinator, Susan, was very helpful. We did have some hidden fees that we were not told about from the previous employees, but Susan was great in helping us work around them. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The deck where our ceremony took place had 150+ guests with room to spare, it overlooks the Deschutes River and has a "lodge" feel. It was formerly a restaurant so it has a good size kitchen for caterers. There are 2 dressing rooms upstairs for the bride and groom and extra seating for guests on a balcony. Not many decorations were needed because the event center is beautiful to begin with. I would recommend this place as long as you're working with Susan.
