  I rarely rate anything with the highest score across the board. River Oaks Golf Course is one experience I have to give across the board top scores. Their only limit is the size of their reception area. Everything else was simply outstanding. The preparation work with Sue was top notch. The decorations and room set up were great. Very easy and flexible to work with. The food was simply outstanding and hit of the night (other than my father/daughter dance of course). And to top it off, it is a great value that only the bride's family is aware of! I would highly recommend considering and using this venue for a wedding. I have 4 more daughter's to marry, so I'll put my money where my comments are!

  Sue, Russ and the staff truly made our ceremony absolutely perfect. The ceremony took place at the gazebo with a beautiful view of the River. The river is not close to the property but you are able to get beautiful photos with it in the background! Absolutely stunning pictures!! The chairs along with set up and take down are all included in the outdoor ceremony fee. Luckily we did not have rain on our wedding day but, if we did they move everything inside. Really put us at ease.
  
  The banquet room is absolutely gorgeous!! The drapery with lighting added so much elegance to the facility. They have a beautiful back bar with a patio that is for your wedding guest to enjoy. The staff is always on their toes trying to make you day absolutely perfect! They are willing to set up anyway you want it which allowed us to personalize our wedding even more!
  The food was superb! Our guest gave us too many complements to count! Everything was perfect!! Could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding!

  Sue O'Connell, who is the event coordinator, is an absolute pro! But, her team was full of above-expectation go-getters. We were thrilled with how the venue looked, the service we got, but we also felt like the team was extraordinary. Our guests LOVED the food - CHICKEN!! - and they were so easy to work with.

  I was very happy with choosing River Oaks as my wedding venue. The staff were very friendly and easy to work with. The venue was decorated beautifully and the staff were always so willing to help with any little detail. Sue was wonderful to work with through the whole process of choosing the venue and making my Wedding day one that I wont forget. I would definately recommend this venue to anyone. I also got many compliments from guests on the food. It was very good!!

  Fell in love with this venue. I am a budget-conscious bride and found River Oaks to be one of the cheapest options in the Twin Cities with an incredible view, beautiful patio/venue, and extremely flexible coordinator (Sue!). Was the perfect place for our wedding- can't say enough!

  They were easy to work with and the food was amazing. I received many compliments from our attendees that the food was some of the best wedding food they've had. The only downfall of our wedding was that they couldn't get the beer we requested, and we didn't find out until the day of! Every venue I talked to, I made sure to ask if they could get kegs of the beer my family members drink, they assured us that they can get it with no problem. The day of the wedding, they had replaced our request with a different beer, because they couldn't get it from the distributor. They said that in the contract it allows them to do so. I understand that things happen, but it would've been nice to be able to choose what they swapped our selection out with. Nonetheless our guests drank both kegs, and we had to buy an additional, so it all worked out. That is the only detail that had me not rate them the full 5 stars. This is a beautiful venue that is reasonably priced, accommodating, and has excellent food.

  Fantastic venue with all costs on website and super staff for the event

  We had our wedding here in June and I can't say how well they did. Accommodating before hand for checking set up, meal choice and assuring us an easy day. To the day of, all was set up for our finishing decorations, they had plenty of staff for drinks, dinner and throughout the day and everyone was kind and helpful. The food was delicious and flavorful, so much that our guests were talking about it afterward.
  
  While it's not the flashiest place the outside pictures turned out beautifully and everyone had a great time with plenty of space. Plus we used the bags and bocce ball areas and our guests enjoyed having more things to do. Might take a little bit to respond to emails only because they are always going and helping.

  River Oaks was a really pretty venue. The golfers stuck around until it got dark but did not bother anybody. It was nice to not have extras from the bar just rolling in like if you had it at a hotel. Sue was very accomadating and addressed my concerns when I brought them up to her. They did run out of potatoes but accomadated for extra meat for the plates that did not get them. Overall a nice venue.

  Since my wedding was in the winter, Sue was awesome at giving me deals because there aren't as many events. They let us have the venue for free as long as we met the food and beverage minimum.
