My daughter got married at Grand Vue park in Marshall County. River City did the catering.
The food was the absolutely delicious. The staff from River City exceeded our expectations. They were very professional, well mannered. I would highly recommend them to do your catering.

We had our wedding at River City and it was truly the best decision. Not only were they highly accommodating and very affordable, the staff was a dream to work with. We had some issues with the former events manager and about three months before our wedding, we decided to drive over and talk to them in person to sort things out. Long story short, we found out that the previous events manager had abruptly left and all previously discussed information about our wedding was gone. We, of course, were anxious but before we could panic, Jay and Becky took care of EVERYTHING. In less than three months, they basically planned our wedding in full, from scratch. They worked around our schedule to let us decorate and bring in lots of decor and snacks, they made adjustments to food and drink that we specifically asked for, and they made sure our day ran smoothly and efficiently. It truly didn't even feel like anything had happened a few months prior. The food was delicious, the venue was beautiful and accessible (great for family members with walking issues) and we loved that we were able to just head downstairs to the bar after the event was over. If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely choose River City to host our day!

This place is AMAZING!!! The event staff went above and beyond to make sure our reception went off without a hitch. If something needed fixed, moved, tweaked, or set up they were doing it or offering to do it before I even had to ask. Now THATS service! We got a ton of compliments on how beautiful the space was. Its not your garden variety ballroom. It has character and in my opinion thats what makes it beautiful! The food was great and everyone was wonderful to work with from beginning to end! They even packed up our gifts and decorations for us! If I could give this place a 10 or 20 I would! Thank you so much for making our day so unforgettable!

We used River City Artisan Center for our December 3rd rehearsal dinner and December 4th wedding reception. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and hard working! Since the place is beautiful to begin with, we didn't have to do much to decorate! Everything is All Inclusive, so it is easy on the pocketbook and leaves less to worry about! Our guests had a wonderful time and loved the venue! There is an elevator which helped a lot of our elderly guests :) A few of our guests asked what it had cost..and when I told them they could not believe it!!!! Thank you River City!

Becky was a God send...we had a death in the family a few days before and she even stuck around to help set up for the reception, she kept everything running smoothly and the food was to die for. We had sampled before selecting the buffett and the food was even better the night of. They have NO hidden fees everything is up front....I would recommend to anyone in the area...it was absolutly beautiful.....I loved every minute of it!!!

I could not have asked for a vendor that was any easier to work with. Becky was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we wanted without nickle and diming us. Their price included many items that other vendors charged for separately. The food was average but the service was excellent. It was a unique venue and perfect size for our reception.

River City offers an excellent bang for your buck. The food is great and the amount of help from the staff-- Cassie, Becky, and Jason-- is phenomenal. They will try to accommodate pretty much anything you want. Because of the amount of decorating we had to do, they let us in to the space a week early (because nobody was scheduled to use the space). Cassie was there with us most of the time helping to set up-- she was a huge help. There is no way we would have been able to pull off what we did with the space and the whole wedding day in general without everyone's help. Everyone is truly there to make your event great and they don't nickel and dime you for stupid things like many other area venues-- what they quote you is what you pay. Simple as that. Our wedding reception was fantastic and we are so glad we decided to have it at River City.

River City was great to work with. They were very helpful and flexible in everything. Becky and Kasi were both a pleasure to work with. River City has a banquet menu they allow you to chose from, but we wanted hamburgers and chicken fingers (nontraditional stuff) and they made it happen even though it wasn't on their menu. We could get in THursday to decorate, they worked well with our other vendors, and I never noticed a single hiccup on the day of. I would have liked for their to be easier forms of communication. Kasi didn't have an email address and Becky occasionally took a bit too much time to email back. I personally prefer email communication as it gives time for responses and to respond at my own pace but others may prefer phone calls always. THe price was amazing for what all we got. With the special food, we did $60 a person including 2 hot and 2 cold apps, a FULL bar (meaning every type of wine, all liquor, and two draft beers), linens, chairs, tables, centerpieces, a full buffet for dinner, tax, and tip. Really you can't beat it.

River City was a fantastic venue and we were incredibly happy overall. Considering we were planning from out of town (about 3 hours away) and this was known by the event staff, we were a little bothered by the attitude of the event manager (Becky) partway through our planning process. She was great in person but on phone calls - when she returned them - she was very short with us and always made it seem like she had something better to do. Cassie, on the other hand, was phenomenal every time we worked with her (she's who we met with when we first viewed the venue and was there the day prior and during our reception).

Overall, the food was good, service was excellent the day of and in setting up the day prior, we had a ton of compliments on the venue and its ambiance, and the staff was very accommodating the day of our reception. This is a great venue for larger weddings and a great value. I would definitely recommend it to other brides.
