  Amazing Experience!

  Our experience with Allison from beginning to end has been absolutely amazing! Custom designing and purchasing engagement rings can be a daunting task, but Allison made it so easy. She listened to all of our ideas and designed two incredibly stunning engagement rings. She is a great communicator and is always transparent about cost, design elements, and expected timelines. Allison was so patient when we had a million questions and provided as many design mockups as needed to ensure the rings were exactly the way we wanted them. She also provided photos and updates along the way as she created the ring, which was really cool to see. When we saw the finished products we were absolutely blown away. From a personality perspective, Allison is so full of bright, positive energy and it is so obvious that she cares deeply about her craft and bringing joy to her clients. She also has worked with many LGBTQ+ clients, so we felt very comfortable working with her. Overall, we can't recommend Allison enough and honestly wouldn't work with anyone else.

  Custom engagement ring

  When we approached Allison, we had a few very specific, unique requests for the engagement ring we envisioned. She was very approachable, fun, and easy to work with. She is also honest, knowledgable, and patient which is super important in the design process when we were brainstorming and indecisive. She was flexible with a challenging timeline and helped us feel very involved in the design process. The ring feels so special because it has so much of our history in it and it feels like something we created together even though it wasn't made in a workshop. We are so excited to make our wedding bands with her in the future.

  The Pinnacle of Custom Jewelry

  My only difficulty with writing this review is that 5 stars is woefully few and Allison deserves many more than are available. Seriously, my wife and I had such an incredible experience making our wedding rings together. We were greeted, each day, with an excellent cup of coffee, tea, some form of mouth watering confection, and an invitational smile. Alison’s knowledge, expertise, willingness to answer any question, and passion for her craft makes her the perfect guide to lead you through the intricacies of this process. Though we had little to no experience, we weren’t treated so, but rather encouraged to explore the art, and craft rings that are unique to our vision and our personalities. I was going to say that you can’t pay for this kind of meaningful experience but you can! And you should. A store bought ring twice as expensive would pale in comparison to what Alison and Ringed helped create for us. Truely, thank you.

  Allison with Ringed was a godsend to us. She was recommended by a mutual friend, and we cannot say enough amazing things about our experience working with her. From day one, her communication was clear, easy to understand, and we never had to wait too long for a response, even given her busy schedule. Her knowledge was invaluable, and she provided us with suggestions along the way since we had no clue what we were doing. We came with to her with an idea, and she delivered ten-fold.   Beautiful experience, 10/10!

  My spouse and I had the pleasure of making our wedding rings with Allison, and it was such a beautiful experience from start to finish, from the initial design conversation to the workshop itself to receiving our hardcover book in the mail featuring photos from our ring-making process. Our friends and families initially think we simply designed our rings—no, we really truly made them with the help of Allison! She is such a caring, easy person to spend the day with, and takes her job as facilitating making your forever rings very seriously. I have no experience with metal working and I always felt completely supported during the entire process, so I never was worried that we would have a less-than-ideal piece at completion. Having rings that are attached to the experience of crafting them together with the person you love is priceless, and Allison and her workshop are the perfect container for that memory you’ll cherish forever!

  Unique, fun, incredible, an absolute delight

  My partner and I wanted to have a unique experience regarding our wedding rings to make them feel special and not just like something we picked out in a store. WOW does Allison deliver! I was quite nervous as neither of us (my partner nor I) has a gift for the visual arts, and I was worried we wouldn't be able to design/create something incredible. But Allison assured us that we would, and I just adore what we created. I told my partner I wanted a fantasy/lord of the rings inspired ring and our rings are just beautiful, they look like interlocking leaves. I was surprised at how much we were really able to do everything ourselves - Allison tells you everything to do and can do some touches but it really feels like we 100% designed and carved our rings from start to finish. I know that no one has rings that look like ours and it was so fun and special to create them together. This was the beginning of our engagement and it made it so special. It was such a pleasure to spend all that time together with Allison too as she is a kick ass person! I would do this 1000x over.

  Perfectly Personalized Experience

  We cannot possibly think of a better way to get engaged! We're a male/female couple and early on we knew that we both wanted to wear rings during our engagement. I (female partner) looked at traditional engagement rings with stones, but couldn't see myself wearing one. We decided to find bands, but nothing we found was exactly what we were looking for. Then, we found Ringed and realized we could make our own bands exactly as we wanted them! The consultation with Allison sealed it for us. She was so excited that we wanted to create engagement bands together and immediately jumped in to figure out how to make our design a reality. We received impeccable communication leading up to our workshop and when we arrived, it was to a warm, smiling Allison, coffee, and pretzel croissants from the local bakery. We spent the day laughing, swapping book titles, and telling stories while soldering, sanding, and polishing the perfect rings for us. PLUS, when I texted Allison the next morning to say that I had worn my ring all evening and it felt just a touch too tight, she told us to come on over and immediately resized it for me so it fit like a second skin! Everything about this experience was perfect and we couldn't be happier or prouder to wear our rings!

I really appreciated her attention to detail and her dedication to recycled materials and ethical sourcing. She encouraged me to buy an extra moss agate stone for the ring in case of wear or tear. Her attention to detail was amazing and I feel so lucky that i found her business. I couldn’t thank her enough for creating the perfect engagement ring for the love of my life!

  Curious, Creative, Relatable!

  When I had my first Zoom meeting with Allison, I knew she would be the perfect fit. She has a genuine warmth, a great sense of humor, a willingness to talk direct, and a true creative spirit. I had some vague ideas of what I wanted for an engagement ring, and Allison took the time to learn about my partner, looked at some of her favorite rings, and asked about her general sense of style. The final ring was never something I would have imagined but was the perfect expression of my love for my partner. And my partner agreed! She has called the ring "perfect". Allison is the best and is so easy to talk to. Can't recommend enough!

  After weeks of looking at rings and looking for something custom, I came across ringed and was instantly sold after visiting the website. Allison is simply AMAZING. Creates a warm and welcoming experience for everyone! When my partner and I arrived for our first meeting, a gentleman before us left skipping and said we would be doing the same, he was not wrong!! Allison is very knowledgeable and personable, making the entire process easy and so worth the wait. She delivered a beautiful, elegant, and meaningful ring (and in great time)! I can not rave enough about Allison and her company, Ringed. Highly recommend!!

From the getgo, Allison was focused on delivering us unique rings that were just the way we had envisioned them. In the actual creation of the rings, Allison provides enough oversight and direction that you can feel confident in what you are doing without getting over involved. You really put a part of yourself in these rings. My fiancee and I made our rings for each other, and this experience became cornerstone to our engagement. My fiancée and I made her engagement ring together with Allison this past summer. It was important to us to find a local and woman-owned business, in addition to one using ethical jewelry practices. Our Ringed experience was exactly what we wanted and more. Allison saw our vision and we ended up with an incredible ring that holds a lot of wonderful memories. Allison’s studio is intimate and adorable and she herself is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to metalsmithing and gemology. Being able to say we made our ring is the coolest.   Perfect one of a kind Ring!

  Allison was such an amazing person to work with. Her love and commitment to her craft shown through in every step of the process. I hope I'll have the opportunity to work with her again in the future for more rings. It is an amazing piece she created for my marriage.

  Awesome experience!

  Allison is an incredible teacher and we love our rings! She guided us through the process from design to production and our rings came out more incredible than we expected. Making our own rings felt like a huge task but Allison broke the process down into bits making it possible. Couldn’t be happier!

  Birds fly, trees grow, fish swim, and Allison smiths. Upon meeting with her, we knew our forever rings were to be forged by one of the best. And boom bada bing, they're beautiful! We opted for simple brushed bands; she created two timeless and elegant pieces. And did I mention she uses sustainable materials like recycled gold? I definitely didn't, but I should've sooner as it was one of the reason we sought her out! Highly recommend Allison and Ringed for all your treasure making needs.

  Made me feel confident even though I'm not good with my hands

  It's terrifying when the love of your life tells you she wants you to "make" her engagement ring, especially when you have zero experience making things with your hands--you're afraid you won't do a good job…. Working with Allison at Ringed PDX got me through that. Allison did planning sessions with us. Allison sent us picture examples. Allison knew exactly what questions to ask my partner in order to make sure we were making the perfect ring. And not only is Allison a master at her craft, she's an amazing teacher who guided me step by step through the ring building process.   Allison was fantastic. Not only did she guide us through making our own rings, she also was fun, full of life, and incredibly knowledgeable in her field.   We designed and created wax molds for our wedding bands, and Allison created the engagement ring. We were nervous about the process - weren’t sure we could do it, but Allison gave us all the instruction and help we needed. When we saw the completed rings they were everything we had hoped for, fit perfectly and were beautiful.   We made our rings with Allison for our wedding and we cannot stop talking about how much we loved the experience. To start, she is 100% safe for LGBTQ+ clients. My husband and I had a lot of trouble finding jewelers that we felt comfortable with until we met Allison. Next, she is an incredible teacher. We did our workshop remotely on Zoom and she coached us through everything and made us both feel comfortable with the process. If you are not able to do an in-person workshop the remote option is just as amazing! And finally, on the day of the wedding my husband's ring didn't quite fit right but Allison had us come over and she fixed the ring on the day of. We are so thankful that we met Allison and have such a special story to remember and we don't have words to express how much we love our rings.
