Rick was such a dream to work with. He captured our personalities as well as our wedding party perfectly. He was great with the little kids and let them help him take pictures. From our first conversation until we said our goodbyes at the wedding, he was such a dream to work with. He is now forever our family photographer.

Rolled with the Rainy Days!

Rick was super kind and reassuring through out our meetings - especially valuable for a couple fretting about their destination wedding! When the day came, it was the rainiest and coldest August day I'd ever seen, everyone was running late, we were DIYing last-minute decorations, but Rick was super professional and managed to grab some really sweet shots of the venue and the ceremony. I generally hate getting my picture taken but now find myself coming back to Rick's pictures and feeling sentimental! He really captured the best parts of the day, enough to make me forget all the soggy stress of the set-up :)

Stunning pictures

Rick was so enthusiastic and excited about doing our wedding shoot from our first conversation it actually made me excited! That really made him stand out to me compared to others I spoke with. His price was very low in my opinion for the type of pictures and work we got back. He is very fast to get back to you with any questions or schedule a time to chat if needed. Our wedding was during a heat wave in an old building with no AC. I was so worried what the pictures were going to look like. We had sweat dripping everywhere! He shot for the entire 6 hours we hired him for in extremely hot conditions and we got back 400 beautiful pictures that I couldn't be happier with. He doesn't say much while taking pictures just works away lol The pictures captured were staged and unstaged, close and far away shots, some black and white but mostly color. The way he uses the sun and scenery even down to the shadows was exceptional! Everytime I look through our gallery I find new favorites and fall in love all over again. Thank you so much Rick! His talent is amazing and you won't be disappointed! I hope to hire him again!

Wonderful photos and experience!

His photos are amazing, and his vibrant personality during shoots makes it clear that he loves what he does. Both Rick and his assistant Lindsay took many wonderful photos during the wedding, and were also considerate of both me and my partner during shoots and intimate moments. We couldn't be happier

Rick is both super professional and yet also a genuinely nice guy who is relatable and fun.

Looking at his portfolio it's easy to see how good Rick's work is. But it's the things outside of the technical aspects of taking a good photo that make Rick so good.

We booked Rick to shoot photos before and at a pre-wedding dinner for family and then before and during our wedding the next day. Rick was always on time, and although we didn't have a definitive idea of what we wanted to do over the entire time, Rick had no problem guiding us and coming up with great suggestions and ideas to take some amazing and unique shots. Even when we did have some idea of what we wanted to do, regardless of how odd or boring, Rick went along and made it the best it could be. He made us comfortable, feel good while we were taking the photos, and we had a lot of fun.

As busy as Rick is, he still got us our pictures within a couple of weeks of our wedding in an easy to access and share format. Most importantly, we have a ton of beautiful, high quality pictures to remind of our special day.

We would definitely work with Rick again and without question would recommend him to anyone looking a great photographer.

Rick gave us memories we’ll cherish for our life.

What started as a potential backyard covid wedding, eventually turned into a wedding at Willows Lodge in Woodinville. Rick was amazingly flexible and was helpful through the whole process. He suggested timelines and was really helpful with the venue selection as well what would look good in pictures. He event saved us a lot of time by literally driving us to the hotspots nearby the venue where he took great pictures of us. The wedding pictures came out great, and everyone who’s seen them have loved the final edits. We were expecting to see the final pictures after few weeks of the weeding, but little did we know, Rick got us all the final edits 2-3 days after the wedding itself. Rick was the best photographer we could’ve chosen for our special day. I’m looking forward to working with Rick again in the future to capture other special moments.

Rick Rocks!

We booked a session with Rick for our elopement at Golden Gardens. He was so fun to work with day of and we absolutely love all the photos he took. They really capture the happiness of the day, our personalities, and love for one another. The best photographer even during Covid

You should grab Rick before he is snagged by someone else. Rick was absolutely amazing and his pictures were superb. He has an amazing eye and way with colors that makes the most cloudy day of Seattle seem to pop into a luscious forest or wondrous sea. His prompt professionalism, easy going attitude, and humbleness are easy reasons to turn to him. His patience, confidence, determination, and eye are the things you need in whatever reason you’re hiring him. For my wedding, I can’t imagine another person to have been there, let alone given me back all of these little memories in pictures. Rick was incredible to have be there and helped capture these memories. If you’re still reading this, you’re not moving fast for someone like him. Just know that he was ready to move and adjust for you in every way possible to make your day as easy going as possible. We recommended him to all of our friends and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Timeless Wedding Photos at Deception Falls

We can't thank Rick enough for perfectly capturing our wedding day. When COVID-19 altered our plans, Rick was very flexible but also helpful in keeping us on a track that would still make our day just as special with a private picture session after our ceremony. He was creative and spontaneous in our last minute location change and it shows in our pictures how much fun we had.

Absolutely amazing

Even in the middle of a pandemic we lucked out and were able to have our wedding. Rick was extremely flexible with the back and forth of if we can have our wedding or not. And because of the pandemic, our wedding was the first time we actually met him in person!! But he captured so many moments that I didn't even realized he captured. We love every single photo. They are beyond stunning and Rick was the perfect choice for our wedding. I loved on the day of you could see the gears working in his head of photos and poses to capture. He was so kind and on point! And he blew us away when we got all the photos. He gets the perfect angles and just the perfect shot. And captures every in the moment photos perfectly. Plus, we got them back in just under 3 weeks!!! So stop looking for another photographer and just choose Rick!!

Wonderful Photographer!

Working was Rick was very fun! From the first meeting, to the engagement session to the wedding! The pictures turned out beautifully. The only thing I would suggest is have your day of coordinator more involved in organizing photos; who needs to be when and where, I had to do a lot of that myself and was constantly telling people where to go. But I would absolutely recommend Rick for your wedding!

Great experience!

Rick was awesome throughout the entire process. He explained the process and his services clearly, was prompt and professional to communicate with, and was great day-of. We were not very organized with our first look photos and Rick wasn't phased. He directed us on what he thought would make the best shots and took direction from family members (ahem, our parents) all in stride. We LOVE our photos! They were ready well before the 45 day estimate as well. We'll be recommending Rick to any friends who need a professional photographer.

Stress-free, fun, and professional photographer! A+++!

My husband and I found Rick on Wedding Wire and instantly fell in love with his portfolio. After our first meeting and discussing his process, we decided he was the right fit. Rick even encouraged us to interview other photographers (we didn't) in order to ensure we had found the right person (spoiler alert, it was him!)

Rick is personable, easy to get along with, and is crazy passionate about his work! He was very easy to get a hold of and very responsive to all of our questions leading up to shooting. He was also accommodating to my busy wedding day itinerary, and even let my bridesmaid - who is also a wedding photographer - collaborate with him and take her own photos. Our wedding party and family loved having him with us and could not stop talking about what a cool dude he is and how we could clearly see he knows what he's doing.

The photos are beautiful and tastefully done. He isn't one of those photographers that makes the wedding party do a lot of basic poses or adds a bunch of different filters to the final product. He's pure talent!

Rick is also very quick with photo delivery. We were married on June 1st and we received our photos on June 24th - that's just a little over three weeks! I know lots of people who have waited much longer for lesser quality.

I can't recommend this guy highly enough. Rick is the real deal and is absolutely worth every penny!

Awesome, creative, and super fun

Rick was an amazing photographer for our wedding. We initially chose him because his photos are just so vibrant, full of color and life, exactly how we wanted our wedding to feel. After we met him, we found he’s also a very fun guy always with a smile on his face, and very professional. He responds very quickly, takes the initiative to provide help wherever he can, and is very organized.

He's got a very creative mind and it really shows in how his photography tries to paint a picture. He's able to take everyday mundane elements in our surroundings (like mirrors, balconies, etc) and make them into amazing artistic shots. He’s also not afraid to be bold and do whatever it takes for a great shot. One of my most memorable moments was when we were taking shots in downtown and a guy drove by in a classic American convertible car that looked amazing. Rick immediately went up to the guy and asked if he’d let us sit in the driver seat to take some photos. We ended up getting some amazing pictures that was completely out of my expectations. I think this shows that Rick really cares about making the day fun for everyone and doing what it takes to get great pictures and memories.

Great photos, even better price!

Rick was about half the price as other photographers I was looking at and had just as good quality. He's fast at responding to emails, arrived promptly on time during our wedding, and delivered my photos in 3 weeks! They all look great and I'm going to have a hard time choosing which photos to print out!

When we first met with Rick, I was blown away! Mostly because of how passionate he is about photography and also the questions he asked us both. We first found Rick's portfolio online along with all his wonderful reviews when we were looking for a wedding photographer. To match his reputation, Rick was very kind and was a great listener on the phone. He took the time to ask us many questions about who we are and about our relationship. Being two brides, we loved that he treated us like any other couple with respect, AND he already had a bunch of ideas when we talked to him about our vision. We hired Rick for our engagement shoot in March and we couldn't be happier with how fun and comfortable it was to work with him. Rick has a great sense of humor and was open to ideas. We love that Rick can spot random areas during a shoot and catch an awesome shot on the go.

We had our wedding the end of this June. Rick was AMAZING. Rick was on time with his assistant, Mikaela (thanks Mikaela!), and they both worked well with the videographer with high energy. We started off in a hotel and had our ceremony and reception outdoors. Our family and friends enjoyed his company and were impressed with how well he was able to work with all 14 ladies, all day (12 in the party + 2 brides) as well our large families. We remember how the sun was blazing at the time we had scheduled to take family photos, but Rick highly recommended to wait 'til later and we're so glad he was there. Sometimes we've seen photographers just go with whatever the client says, but Rick would make sure to explain why and how well something would work better a certain way and at a different time. We recently received all of our photos and WOW. We had asked to have many candid "Kodak moment" photos and we got exactly what we wanted and more. From photos of us exchanging smiles, laughs, and jokes, to hugs, and more, Rick captured each moment of the day with so many beautiful pictures. The angles and placement of each photo was so perfect, fun, memorable, and smart! We are so happy with the quality of work. Thanks Rick!

Rick was the BEST photographer EVER and you should hire him for many reasons. First, he was extremely responsive to all emails and phone calls. Second, the price was very reasonable and he worked with us to keep the pricing within our budget. Third and best part was his enthusiasm and passion for photography and flexibility/receptiveness to my ideas. He integrated the props I wanted and even thought of new poses on the fly with the props I brought. His passion showed when we were taking first look photos as you could see his excitement. The outcome was very fun and unique photos including standard wedding photos. We loved this because he was able to capture the emotion and our personalities in the photos. We were amazed at his previous work when we hired him and were blown away (and all of our friends and family also) with the photos that he took of our wedding. All of the photos were amazing and he made me look beautiful (very important for a girl). Fourth, he completed our wedding photos in 2.5 weeks.... over 1000 photos! Not only was his work unique and amazing, he was extremely fun to work with and he finished the work quickly for a good price. What is not to like? You should hire him, we definitely recommend him!!!!!

We had a non traditional wedding and Rick was incredible at getting to know us and understanding our vision. He was extremely flexible about setting up an entirely different day of photo shoot so we could focus on photos one day and the actual ceremony and reception another day. He is a true creative — obsessive (in a good way) about finding cool new ways to tell a story visually. At the same time, he was very open to our collaboration and ideas.

We decided to get married in Seattle 3 weeks before it happened. I am so glad we found Rick! We were very pleased to work with Rick on our engagement and wedding sessions. We got so many compliments from both families and guests. Even some guests said they enjoyed Rick's enthusiasm in directing them for photos' poses. We knew that we are in the good hands for our wedding photos from the start. When we met on our initial meeting, we could tell that Rick is very artistic and energetic. He told us where and how he wanted to do the wedding photos before he went to the venue. He only saw the venue photos and it would be his first time to do the photo shoot there. That really sold for me! My fiance at the time was not as excited as I was to discuss about photo shoot. However, after the meeting, my fiance changed his mind. We decided to have Rick takes our engagement photo and my fiance was so excited about it! We highly recommend Rick for any photo shoots.

We found Rick through the officiant who was performing the ceremony for a small wedding at Pike’s Place. The ceremony something between eloping and a big wedding; An elopement. The ‘newyweds’ were apprehensive about the need for professional photos... they were just going to go with family shots!! Oh my, what an absolutely smart decision it was to hire a photographer and what an awesome photographer we found in Rick!

Our first contact was only three days before the wedding. Rick was enthusiastic and full of ideas. Added to the expected *snow* in Seattle, the ceremony was scheduled at 6PM on the day the time rolled by for daylight savings time - so time with any daylight was going to be limited for our two-hour session.

Rick worked with our couple to get them over their apprehension of heading out in the cool evening. The result was some of the most fabulous photographs of the bride and groom with the market, city lights, big wheel and a beautiful Seattle cloud-filled sky. The photos are so unique and magnificent; Rick was a master at taking what one might see as a challenge and turning out masterpieces!!

I hired Rick to be my wedding photographer back in early September. It was a great pleasure to work with Rick. He was very professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. I knew that there were not many spots for pictures at our venue so I suggested taking some of the photos at Discovery Park. Rick knew all the best spots for great pictures. His assistant, Sarah, was also very helpful and thoughtful throughout the shoot. I particularly liked the picture Rick took at our first dance. Here's what I love about Rick and his work: He just doesn't take "pretty photos". His talent, skill, eye and creativity capture the actual emotion in the moment - while doing it in a breathtaking context and turning the moment into art. When selecting him as our wedding photographer, I loved looking at his portfolio - I felt like I was a part of each of those weddings. He didn't disappoint with the photos from our wedding; the shots bring me back to that day and the emotion in each photo. On the business side, he is such a positive, can-do person. He genuinely wanted to know us and make sure he was capturing our story - not just forcing on us what he wanted. Responsive, organized - a bride's dream. The day of the event he was extremely patient with the various family members trying to catch their own shots of the day - whereas I'm sure it would have driven most photographers nuts. He was the perfect mix of making sure to get the shots we needed - but also blending into the background and quietly capturing the moments as they unfolded. I cannot say enough good things about Rick! He's the best!

Choosing a photographer for an important event is never an easy venture - you really do get what you pay for. It took us a while to compile a list of potential photographers, but once we were did, there was never any question about who we wanted. We just kept ending back up on Rick's portfolio, over and over again. It was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. From day one, Rick worked with us to customize his packages to fit our actual wedding times, set up phone calls to discuss our vision, and finalize our timeline.

Even though we underestimated the time needed for some of our wedding events, he helped us keep everything on track. He knew our venue well, so he was extremely efficient with getting us to some of the more photogenic spots, and we had a good balance of time to spend eating and socializing while still being pulled aside for more time-sensitive photos (ex. sunset).

Within a day or two of the wedding we'd already received five sneak peeks and they are just so gorgeous - he really captured the Vogue/GQ feel we were hoping for. The photos we've received so far are a perfect mix of dramatic and romantic - we're so incredibly excited to get the full album.

Rick did both our engagement and wedding photos, and words cannot express how pleased we were with the results! Not only is he an incredibly talented photographer, but he's also very friendly and easy to work with. Rick was our engagement and wedding day photographer. We appreciated how organized he was prior to the wedding as well as working well with other vendors during the wedding. We had great time with this photographer! He was very charming, kind and professional. He did his best, in spite of limited time schedule due to our wedding plan, and actually, his work is awesome and cool. Rick is a super nice person to work with. Very professional ,responsive and passionate. All my friends are impressed by Rick's passion and professionalism. What impressed us the most is Rick can always come up with great picture ideas. no matter where you are, Rick can always come up with great ideas. We loved so many of the pictures!

Rick is also very quick delivering pictures, it only took him 5 days to finish all the photos and he even sent around some photos on the same day!

Me and my husband did not budget a photographer for our wedding only because we were looking into having a really small destination wedding in Seattle, just friends and family. We would've regret it so bad!!
Fortunately, at the last minute we changed our minds and asked our officiant for some help and she recommended Rick.
We are so glad she did!!
Rick was amazing, since the moment we booked him (less than 2 weeks before the big day) he was there for us. We trusted him and we couldn't be happier with the results. Rick is great to work with, we had such a blast taking photos with him. He is very creative and full of ideas. He pretty much became a part of our wedding party! Rick is a super photographer and we couldn't be happier with the results! We eloped on Dec 28th and Rick was able to accommodate us over a holiday week and on short notice for a very reasonable price. He was VERY flexible during our booked time. When our officiant showed up less than prepared and we had to delay about 45 minutes, Rick didn't miss a beat. He was able to keep us relaxed, laughing, and gave us some guidance on posing (but without being overly posed or cheesy). Somehow he managed to actually make us look fantastic (we are the queens of bad selfies!). Three days later, we ended up with an amazing set of photos that we will cherish! Our friends and families can't stop raving about how stunning the photos of us are. We have already recommended him to several other couples we know getting married and would hire him again in a heartbeat should we ever need a photographer for another special occasion.

Rick is fantastic! He is a great photographer, responded quickly to all of our e-mails or phone calls, and is fun to spend time with. He did a great job directing our large wedding party around (20 people, including recently divorced parents) when we took photos at several tourist sites around Seattle before the wedding. He is really easy to work with, has great ideas, and managed to capture countless special moments we did not even think about asking him to get pictures of from the wedding and reception. His fee is very reasonable and the photos are truly beautiful - PLUS we got our photos less than a week after the wedding. Incredible! Absolutely loved working with Rick from start to finish. Super easy going during planning, quick to reply. I didn't have to give him any direction and he somehow managed to get everything I wanted and more. I didn't even notice he was there most of the time, just magically got great shots. We had a difficult group but he handled it with grace. The photos are hands down my favorite part of the wedding and we got them back so quickly!! Worth every penny and then some. After a co-worker recommended Rick, I remember feeling an instant connection to the photography on his website and was pretty much already sold. He was fantastic to work with, very easy going and accommodating. His love of what he does definitely shows. My husband and I got married during a "Ride the Ducks" tour and he didn't bat an eye to the idea. It was a challenging circumstance, given the amount of space, but our photos turned out wonderfully. Hiring Rick as our wedding day photographer was the best decision we made during this whole wedding planning process! In fact, he was the first vendor we hired! We had Rick do our engagement photos also and it was during fall time and the colors were so amazing.
I have to say that the day of the wedding was completely perfect! Rick was there early and eager to get started. He even offered to help us bring everything in to set up. We felt so comfortable with Rick since we worked with him before and even if we hadn’t we would have felt the same way. He was part of the gang and just fit in so well. It was very important that we have an amazing photographer and would be happy with our wedding day photos. I have talked to a lot of couples that said they didn’t really go out of their way to find a photographer and they had a family member take their photos. They ended up not being happy with their photos and that is not something we wanted to happen.
Rick has such a good eye and fun ideas on making each photo unique to the couple. He welcomes any and all ideas that we have, but his are so amazing that we went with whatever he wanted us to do. We couldn’t be happier that we chose Rick as our photographer and also very happy that we booked him way in advance! Do not wait too long, folks! We have gotten so many compliments from our guests on the photographer and they haven’t even seen all of the photos yet! Which by the way we received a few days after the wedding and were able to go through them while we relaxed on our honeymoon in Maui. I highly recommend Rick and hope it won’t be too long before we can book him again…hopefully for some family photos!

Since we had a morning tea ceremony and an afternoon/evening western ceremony followed by a reception, our photographer Rick had a long day and he was professional, responsive, organized, and just wonderful to work with throughout it. While the weather may have been wetter than we would've preferred, we actually got some fantastic shots out of it! We really liked his location ideas - he especially knew the area around our western ceremony very well. We loved the compositions of his posed photos and he also captured a lot of great moments throughout the day. Further, he took care curating and editing the photos. Rick's turnaround time is also very fast - we received our photos just over a week after our wedding! These are pictures that we will cherish for a long time.

First and perhaps most importantly, Rick is a professional and highly skilled photographer. He has the experience one needs to execute great photos no matter what surprises may come. Rick shot our engagement photos in a thunderstorm, our wedding photos in torrential rain, door-opening games with 70 people crammed into a small hotel room and friends and family shots in the exhibits of a glass museum (challenging lighting, lots of people, limited space, really expensive glass). We love Rick’s photos for his use of colour, his juxtaposition of nature and urban structures, and his ability to inject fun and style into every shot.

What we didn’t realize before we got married is that you share more of your wedding day with your photographer than your mother, so pick someone that you like. Rick is kind, funny, (nerdy =)), a pleasure to have around, and actually, sort of like the energizer bunny. He doesn’t stop thinking about great shots, climbs ladders, organizes people and is truly committed to capturing all the moments of your wedding day. Our wedding day felt like one big blur; we are so glad that it is through the eyes and lens of Rick’s that we will remember that fun day!

Rick is Great! I was extremely pleasantly surprised with how fantastic Rick was. I mean let's be honest, during a wedding, EVERYONE has a "suggestion"... and when it comes to taking pictures, my bridesmaids were offering plenty of "suggestions" and Rick was so kind to hear them out and take them up on the idea, or let them down easy. He really dealt so well with the logistics. For example, we were running behind while getting ready, so he immediately kept busy by collecting the rings, visualizing the bouquets, placing the rings in awesome locations to take wonderful pictures.

I found Rick on Wedding Wire, checked out his website, met him and three different photographers and felt that his professionalism, quality of work, and effortless planning (on my end) was exactly what I needed. While we were one our Honeymoon a couple of days after the wedding, we received all of our pictures, which made our Honeymoon even better, to check out the photos and re-live the memories yet again! He's been great, I highly recommend working with Rick. By the way, he is fantastic with making the setting and the sky work out so well! Rick was great and very professional. I was especially impressed with his creativity in customizing photos at a variety of locations. We got our photos incredibly fast after the wedding and they were beautiful. Although his prices are reasonable, I am soo glad we didn't go with our photographer based just on cost. Rick did an outstanding job photographing our wedding, which took place in a very low-light settting. He was professional, enthusiastic, and unobtrusive. He definitely struck the right balance of getting the shot and letting our event unfold. My husband and I planned to elope. But when I realized I really wanted my dad there (I'm a daddy's girl), we called an audible. We knew we wanted to keep it small, but we definitely wanted to capture the moment. Rick's photography is simply amazing. Truly. When you consider his resume and look through his portfolio, you realize how overqualified he is for a wedding photographer. His photos are beautiful art that you happen to be in. He has unbelievable vision and creativity. Going around the city with him to take photos was an incredible experience as you get to see his mind work and vision come to life in real time. He puts you at ease and makes everything feel completely natural -- even for people who don't like taking photos. He makes it a genuinely fun and memorable outing for something that can be extremely stressful and exhausting.

Rick is a remarkable talent and the best investment for your wedding. Trust his judgement and let his skill and experience take over. He couldn't be easier to work with. I have admired Rick's photography for years and knew that I wanted to have him do my son's senior pictures when the time came. That time is now and we are beyond thrilled with the photos! Rick was at Gasworks Park before we arrived and he already scoped out locations to get the perfect backdrops and natural lighting. With each shot, he paid careful attention to details while making my son feel at ease. As a result, each of the pictures turned out beautifully and truly captured my son's personality. Rick made it a fun and memorable experience and we now have beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever. I would highly recommend Rick for any of your photography needs. He rocks!

Rick was the perfect mix of professional and fun. He had so many great ideas for photos that were creative and really showed off Seattle. Rick was responsive and friendly throughout the entire process - from the time we met with him, several months ahead of the wedding, to the days after. He was so efficient in getting our photos back to us (4 days after the ceremony). We can't thank him enough!

His photos speak for themselves (take a look!) and we highly recommend him for a wedding or any big day!

Rick was wonderful to work with. He was enthusiastic and when we spoke before actually booking him, he gave me a sense of really knowing what he was doing. He provided ideas and suggestions that vibed with what my husband and I wanted for our wedding photos. He was also flexible and willing to hear out my suggestions. It was a full day of shooting, and Rick stuck with us until we said "no more pictures"! When the final images came back, I was absolutely amazed and so happy with how they turned out. Although there are several that are my clear favorites, everytime I go back through the pictures I find something that I didn't see before or didn't realize he was taking. However, Rick did... and he was able to capture beautiful moments without us ever suspecting it.

Rick Takagi's photos were amazing, artful and faithfully captured a beautiful and elusive moment in our lives. He not only is a highly skilled photographer, but he enhanced the overall outcome by taking the time to know the wedding party and guests. He was unobtrusive while capturing all the best moments. As the bride's parents, our only regret is that he didn't regress our ages by at least twenty years. Rick should be your first choice.

Rick was amazing! He worked with us so well. He incorporated things we love into our shoot - his idea!! Our wedding was on Saturday, and I was looking at our photos on Thursday! Rick is incredible. Our day was beautiful, and Rick made our memories of its beauty permanent. Highly recommended!!!

We interviewed several photographers for our event. When we met Rick, he seemed liked the right fit immediately. He was interested in what we wanted, not what he wanted. We reviewed his portfolio and really enjoyed his perspective of how he shot his pictures for other weddings. His eye for detail and creativity was beyond other photographers we met. The final result was when we received our photos after the event. They were out of this world, the quality and creativity was beyond our expectations. He was easy to work with and was very laid back. We would highly recommend Rick!

Rick was incredible. His pictures were vivid, colorful and captured emotion in each take. He made the photo taking fun. One of the things that stood out with Rick was his helpfulness with the wedding. At times, he was assisting with everything from crowd control to keeping the ceremony moving along. I would highly recommend Rick for your photography event. He's well worth every penny.

Rick's attention to detail and creativeness is incredible. From the setting to the time of day, our son's senior portrait session was perfect !! Our son was relaxed and really enjoyed the time he spent with Rick. If you have a teenage son you know what an amazing accomplishment that is :)
We LOVE the portraits and the only thing that was difficult was trying to pick our favorite because they ALL were so good !!
I highly recommend Rick for any photography you may need. His professionalism and friendliness are far above anything we have experienced. Thanks RICK !!!!!!!!!!

We wanted some professional photos of our daughter. It wasn't exactly sweet 16 but she was closing in on 16. Mother's Day photos for my wife.

Rick was easy to schedule, work with, had great ideas and we ended up with several really terrific photos. The thing that always strikes me about his photos is he seems to find a way to not just capture the image of the person but also the spirit or style of the person.

And we'll be back for senior portraits later this year.

We used Rick for our winery wedding in October. He was incredibly professional and knew all of the best places to take photos before I even asked. I wasn't familiar with the area so he really helped us. The photos were beautiful and he got them back to us in less than a week! You'll get a usb stick with all of the photos as well as an email that you can forward to anyone you would like. I highly recommend him!

Rick was one of the favorite aspects of our wedding day! We fell in love with his online portfolio, and were even more delighted to meet him in person---he is very relaxed, genuine, and kind. He took the time to meet with us to discuss the vision and time line of the day, and was very responsive to emails too. He had a lot of original ideas and insights, and his positive spirit is amazing. All the guests loved him and the photos look absolutely gorgeous! We couldn't be happier with his work!

My husband and I were absolutely THRILLED with the way our wedding pictures turned out! My husband and I hired Rick as our wedding photographer after looking in to several other options with other photographers. The moment we met Rick, we knew he was as special as his online portfolio appeared. Rick is friendly and warm, which is so important when establishing a connection - he makes you feel totally at ease, and it shows in the photos. Rick was always responsive to our questions and concerns, and was very flexible and understanding with our needs. The quality of his work is phenomenal and I would never even think of using another photographer if I had to do it all over again. We chose Rick because he seemed like someone we would be friends with and we wanted to feel comfortable with our wedding photographer. Rick helped capture candid moments of joy, laughter, happiness and love. We trusted his judgement and decided to do "first look" photos and a few with our wedding party before the ceremony. I'm so glad we listened to his advice because those photos became some our favorites!

The turn around time on editing was amazing. We were able to look at the photos right after our honeymoon and share them with family and friends. Thank you Rick for the amazing photos!

I honestly do not even know where to start when it comes to a review for Rick. If you are comparing photographers for your wedding, family portraits, what have you- stop looking! Rick met with us on several occasions to make sure we were all on the same page. Not only did he care about what we wanted, he sincerely cared about us as people. We loved his vision from the start- yes he can do traditional shots, but If you want someone to give you unique and beautiful, Rick is your guy. His price was affordable, he was extremely professional, amazingly talented, and most of all made me feel like a stunningly gorgeous bride: You can't put a price on that! Thank you, Rick!

Rick was simply amazing. We were so impressed with his down to earth personality, his quick responses to emails and questions, and his ability to find wonderful photo opportunities throughout our ceremony and reception space. Rick is the consummate professional, he works hard to get you exactly what you dreamed for, then some. Rick exceeded my expectations and gave me a present for a lifetime. I could not recommend Rick enough. On top of giving us gorgeous photos, he was always prompt in responding to e-mails, making us feel comfortable and attended to, and was a joy to have around on our wedding day. Rick is very laid back and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does, which shows in the end product. His prices were awesome, and he made sure to get every shot we wanted and then some. To top it all off, he got all of our pictures back in THREE days! I couldn't ask for anything more, and we will always cherish the engagement and wedding pictures he took for us.
