  Absolutely loved!

  Catering by Mario and Richmond Hall were absolutely amazing! From the moment we toured Richmond Hall, we fell in love. Lauren was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She was always quick to answer my emails and I sent quite a few of them over the past year. On the day of the wedding, Beverly our maître d, made sure everything ran smoothly. She was always close by making sure my husband and I had something to drink and reminding us to eat. Anything we needed, she made sure we had it. The food was amazing too! Food was a very important part of the wedding for us. We've gone to several weddings where the food isn't great and you leave hungry. That was not the case here. They even walked around after dinner started and offered people seconds! My dad even jokingly asked if he could have his seconds to go and they wrapped it up for him! We got married a little over a month ago and we still have people telling us how amazing the food was. The entire staff that night were so attentive and kind. My husband and I were seriously blown away by the staff and food. Our wedding was everything we could've asked for. We would definitely hold an event with them again and have been recommending them to all of our friends.

  Amazing hidden gem in venue for wedding

  Hands down, Richmond Hall was THE best decision we made for our wedding day. Once we found Richmond Hall online and realized it was in our budget, we thought it was too good to be true. When we visited Richmond Hall and met Lauren, we were blown away. How did this gem exist right under our noses?! We were looking for a less traditional venue with some real character and not just a boring ballroom. Once we saw the bar downstairs for cocktail hour with steel beams, stone walls and an awesome lighted bar, we knew this was our venue. We love the history of the space and how it was transformed into a reception hall. Throughout the entire process, Lauren was amazing. She is so responsive, accommodating and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests loved it. And it’s completely true that they bring out seconds of a plated meal for guests! The staff there is incredible - Jerry, Bev, the bartenders, everyone was so nice and made us feel so taken care of all night. Lauren and her staff were so helpful with setting up decor for us making everything so stress-free and easy. We could not have asked for a better reception venue. The value was unbelievable for a venue in the city. The best part is that everything (linens, cake, chairs, valet parking, you name it) is included in the quote, so you don’t feel like there are all these additional fees to worry about. It was an incredible wedding and we’re so thankful to Lauren and everyone at Richmond Hall for working hard to create such a memorable experience.

  Wonderful experience!

  Our experience at Richmond Hall was unmatched. From our first walk through with Lauren to our wedding night, the staff was amazing! The space is beautiful but they also worked with us to bring in many DIY elements to add our own touch. The food, price and service was everything we wanted.
  I would recommend Richmond Hall to anyone!

  I cannot overstate what an amazing venue this is!!! Preparation leading up to the event was so easy with Lauren guiding us and answering all of our questions promptly and helpfully. The week of, she was super accommodating and hands-on, offering help even where she didn't have to, like supply transport and helping lug cases of beer with us. Coordination and prep overall was a breeze!
  
  The day of our wedding was AWESOME. Outside of it just being a gorgeous venue, the staff were amazing. Bev was instrumental in making everything run smoothly from rehearsal, to the night of. She was so helpful and attentive, offering my husband and I assistance with anything we needed throughout the night. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - bringing us snacks we didn't get a chance to try during the cocktail hour, making sure we always had a drink in our hand, and just being reassuring about everything over the course of the evening. My bridal party were raving about how they all wanted to bring her home with them, she was such a pleasure to have around!!
  
  Our maitre d Jerry was fantastic and orchestrated the night perfectly. Michelle was wonderful and ran the kitchen smooth as butter. And the food was delicious - our guests were so pleased, and many took the servers up on an offer of 'seconds' which I have never seen a wedding venue do! Everyone I've spoken with was so impressed with how friendly and hard-working all of the staff were, from the bartenders, to the servers, to the valet service.
  
  My husband and I, and all of our guests, had such a wonderful experience - we truly couldn't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. If you are considering booking here - take our advice - DO. IT. The value and experience were just incredible. Thank you, CBM/Richmond Hall!

  I cannot thank Lauren and her team at Richmond Hall enough. Our wedding was amazing. Everything went perfectly. We had so many compliments on the food and venue. From my husband's request for an ice sculpture of our dog to late night Pretzels being brought in, I felt like any request we had was met with "yes we can do that". I spent next to nothing on decor since the room was beautiful with the chandeliers and the included uplighting. This was by far the best value we were able to find in the city. The staff was amazing. Guests couldn't believe that they came out and offered second helpings on their plated steak dinners.

  This place blew me away when I entered. Granted the parking situation was a bit wiry but the free valet parking they offer WAS A LIFESAVER. My guests loved the flooring and lighting and curtains and THE CHANDELIERS Oh good god the chandeliers were magnificent. I'd hire these people right away if I were getting married again. In a heartbeat. Thank you Beverly and the entire kitchen crew for taking care of my vegetarian choices!

  Richmond Hall was a dream come true. Can't believe how blessed my husband and I were to come across this place. I wanted somewhere in the city so we could take our pictures at the art museum, but every place we looked at previously was too expensive. This place was so classy on the inside because of the high ceilings, wood floors and beautiful chandeliers. SO many things come included when you book with Richmond Hall for such a reasonable price. I really can't express enough how amazing the food and service was. Lauren, Bev and Mario are all great people as well as the rest of the staff and people who set everything up for us. I wish I could relive the day and it mostly has to do with the fact that Richmond Hall ended up being such a success for us.

  I believe Richmond Hall is a hidden gem in Philadelphia. With the classically beautiful ballroom and the rustic downstairs bar it has the best of both worlds. We are so happy that we upgraded the cocktail hour, our guests raved about the stations. Lauren and Jenna were so easy to work with from start to finish, always nice and flexible with whatever we wanted to do. Jerry the Maitre D was the nicest guy and truly took care of us all night. The rest of the staff were also very nice, congratulated us and treated us like royalty! We were very happy with the reception and so were all of our family and friends. Richmond Hall is able to deliver a great overall experience and at a more reasonable rate than most in the area.

  I loved Richmond Hall! The space is naturally beautiful, and with a few simple decorations the place was perfect. People were gushing about how beautiful everything was. I love chandeliers, and this place was full of them. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and made sure we (bride and groom) were well fed. The staff also acted very professionally, and made our night a super success.
  
  For appetizers - upgrade to the white glove 10 appetizer option - the guests loved cocktail hour. They did say it was a bit long (1.5 hours). Valet parking was great, and we arranged for shuttle service to and from the hotel in Center City.
  
  Although the venue does not have a parking lot, the venue offered the service of valet parking, and after hiring a shuttle bus to drive people into the city, transportation was not an issue at all.
  
  The venue also allowed us to provide our own alcohol, and the price for hiring bar tenders was very affordable.
  
  All in all, we had a spectacular time, and cannot speak enough about this place. If you're looking for an affordable option close to the city, with tons of flexibility, professional service, staff, and beautiful pictures, this is the place for you.

  I am so happy that I found Richmond Hall while planning our wedding. I didn't have time to hire a caterer and event space separately, and I wanted a venue accessible from Center City. I also wanted a flexible, low-pressure planning experience. Richmond Hall took care of everything from food to tables, chairs and napkins. The hall has a lot of character with high ceilings and a beautiful wood floor. Lauren worked with us to provide the best options for our guests on a somewhat limited budget, and the result was more than I had hoped for. The space looked beautiful, the food was good, but really the highest praise goes to the staff. Many people commented to me how friendly and efficient they are, and I can't say enough about the great experience we had.

  Words cannot express how happy we are with our experience with Richmond Hall.Lauren was so friendly and RH was so much more reasonable than places we'd seen, with great prices and the look/vibe we were going for. It has so much character! Lauren kept in contact with us about exactly what we wanted, and was absolutely wonderful about answering my million questions. Lauren did our venue setup, and when we got there, we were absolutely amazed. The hall looked stunning. Lauren set up all of our decor to a T; our special wine glasses were on our sweetheart table, our picture frames, bulletin board /guest book were perfectly displayed, our candy buffet (which took me a day to assemble on our coffee table!) was perfectly arranged and amazed guests. It was so wonderful to see the hard work Lauren and the RH staff did to make sure everything was just how we wanted it right down to the smallest details. And the staff present for our event was absolutely wonderful. When i came in for cocktail hour, the photographer wanted to get some shots at the nearby playground, and Heather took my bags for me and offered me a drink, which Michelle brought right over to the playground! Michelle was on top of everything, making sure my things were boxed up to take home, or offered them to guests, and making sure my husband and I had enough to eat and drink. Jerry the maitre'd was wonderful, asking guests if they wanted to try other food, making sure everyone was filled up on everything they needed. Bev and Michelle made sure the bridal party got all the appetizers from the cocktail hour, bringing them to us in the bridal suite. The staff was absolutely great and so friendly, I got compliments from my guests at the wedding and after it. The food was delicious, the bar had lingerers all night long. We had a fantastic time and Richmond Hall made it a wonderful absolutely unforgettable night for us. The service is impeccable. Thank you Lauren, Jerry, Michelle, Bev, and Heather!

  Lauren was amazing and the place was absolutely drop dead gorgeous! The workers made the experience even more enjoyable and the place was spotless. The best part is the price is hard to beat. I highly recommend this place!

  We had Richmond hall as our venue after checking out so many others and for what we got for the price the value couldn't be beat. Lauren was so good at answering our questions and making sure everything would go perfect. On the big day Rita, Sue and Samantha made sure we ate and everything was going on time. They really looked out for us. The whole staff was so polite. Great place and would recommend them to everyone.

  Getting married in Philly will tend to cost you a pretty penny. We were so lucky to be married at Richmond Hall. My husband and I looked for weeks at other venues in the area, but nothing quite had the class that this place does. Granted the neighborhood is a bit tight, when you walk through those doors, you're instantly taken somewhere else.
  
  I cannot thank or recommend the staff enough. They took on the role of wedding planners for our big day! They decorated our cake for us, helped us assemble and decorate our chuppah, bought decorative flowers at no extra charge, assembled our guests when needed, and were available at any hour to help.
  
  The staff were wonderful, and our day was even better!

  I cannot say enough about this venue and their staff! Engaged in late August 2012 I was planning for a September 2013 outdoor vineyard wedding. When I found out my sister was being deployed we opted to push the date up to April, and hoped to find an indoor venue with some personality that could accommodate my romantic vision and our 150 guests on a reasonable budget. When we visited this hall I fell in love, it was perfect! The hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and chandeliers give the easy elegance I was looking for. Lauren, my point of contact, was wonderful, professional and accommodating. We opted to hold both the ceremony and reception at that hall. To accomplish this, the ceremony was held in the ballroom, which was flipped for the reception while we went downstairs to the more rustic, cellar bar area for cocktail hour- and it all went off without a hitch! The food was fantastic too. The tasting was hands-down the best part of the planning process! We had a number of guests comment that the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. The staff was all friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. Most importantly, our guests had a blast and so did we, and credit was due largely in part to Richmond Hall!

  Our daughter recently got married, and she chose Richmond Hall for her reception. We were not disappointed with the experience. The hall itself is beautiful, the service was first class, the food was truly excellent, plentiful, and delicious. Everyone working there, from the valets to the waiters to the bartenders, were courteous and friendly. We were hesitant about the location because of parking and traffic, but the valet parking made the hall very accessible. They helped us set-up and pack-up. We had about 200 guests, and they were able to accommodate us without any problems.

  I honestly can't praise this place enough. From the moment we stepped into the venue til the very end, the staff was right on everything! The first thing anyone says about our wedding is always, "We can't believe how courteous and friendly the staff was!" They definitely made this day all about us. The venue is absolutely gorgeous (we had our ceremony there as well), and the food tastes like restaurant food, not catered food! If you want people to rave about the food at your wedding for a long time after, go to Richmond Hall. It's the best wedding venue in Philly!!

I never heard the word "no" from her and she was always very prompt, professional, and warm in her responses.   The hall is beautiful there are two floors that are really nice. The cocktail hour was held in the room downstairs that has a gorgeous light up bar with stone walls and this is also where the bridal suite is located which is also very niceand emaculate. We were married at this location so the main room was decorated by us for our ceremony and then the richmond hall staff transformed the main room into our beautiful reception. Our cake was so elegant exactly detailed to how i wanted it and the food was delicious plates that were covered with food displayed beautifully everyone was trully satisfied and empress guest kept asking how did we find this place it was trully a blessing. The staff was fabulous everyone of them catering to our guest so professionally and to my husband and i. I would fully reccommend Richmond hall to every bride in the Philadelphia area the location is easy to get to and they have valet parking. They will make your planning so much easier.

  What an incredible hidden gem! It is absolutely gorgeous venue. The staff is professional, and extremely courteous. We have not stopped receiving compliments from our guests about the food and how pleasant the staff was.

Myself and another bridesmaid burst in to decorate only a few hours before the event was scheduled to begin. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to get us anything that we needed. They very clearly had everything under control, which was reassuring to this frazzled bridesmaid. By the end of the night, I was on first-name basis with all of the staff(everyone from the dishwashers up) and was able to rely on them for various needs. The hall itself is beautiful, a mix of modern and historic charm. The food was delicious and plentiful. One of the biggest surprises was the lovely bridal suite in the basement with a couch, huge mirrors and a seperate bathroom. Overall, a great experience!
