  Met with Gillian and got along with her so well! Great personality, totally clicked, and great portfolio. Although she was more than what we budgeted for, we decided to go with her for our wedding photos anyways since we loved her style and felt we would work well with her on our wedding day. She was flexible in pricing for a "package" that we wanted, and saying that she would give us more photos (to match another photographer we were interested in).
  Unfortunately we have yet to receive our photos. I have been able to find some shots of our rings on her blog, facebook, and flickr accounts however. I wouldn't be too worried about the delay other than the fact that communication has completely disappeared. I heard from her over 4 weeks ago saying the photo disc would be in the mail. It is 4 weeks from the day they were supposedly put in the mail and we have yet to receive the disc. I have e-mailed and phoned without any response. I seriously hope she doesn't take 8 months to deliver our photos!
  I would have recommended her to all our friends for grad, family and wedding photos, but now won't. I hope she learns that communication goes a long way before too many others are in this agonizing situation!

  My experience with Gillian was incredibly similar to the two other reviews. I liked her work samples and her personality and she was very responsive to my inquiries before I signed the contract. After I signed, I barely heard from her. I was even afraid she wouldn't show up to the wedding! The contract promised me the photos within two months of the wedding. After multiple emails and phone messages, very few of which were returned, I finally received the photos - three months late and five months total after the wedding. No reason was ever given for why the photos were so late. Now that I see the other reviews, I realize how lucky I was to get them at all. There is absolutely no excuse for not sticking to a contract and not getting in touch with your clients promptly. I was shocked over how unprofessional she was and very stressed wondering if I would ever see my photos. The photos were good but not at all worth the hassle I went through.

  There is a chance that something significant has happened in the vendor's life that is affecting their business. However, it is unprofessional to not provide any communication to the customer(s) to explain the scenario.

  So when we found Gillian we were so excited at her little she charged compared to everyone else, and how beautiful her work was - that we failed to do some research and read reviews. At first, she was great! She did our engagement shoot, was there for the wedding every step of the way, and as mentioned above was ever quick to cash her checks and ask for the money before the wedding.
  
  After the wedding is when everything went sideways... she sent over a few sneak peaks of our pictures and told us she would have all the pics the week we got home from our Honeymoon. Wow we thought, this is so fast and great! We get home, a few more weeks go by... nothing. I emailed her, and she explained she got super busy and would have them "in a few weeks". A few weeks then go by and we don't hear from here AGAIN.
  She then tells us a few weeks after THAT,she would have them "THIS WEEK! Just let me email you the day later in the weeks as I'm unsure how my week is work wise". Sure. The week came and went. Another came and went. I finally emailed her and explained that we had early Christmas with our family and were expecting to give them pictures and we also hadn't send out thank you cards yet... no response. Nothing. Another week past and she finally emailed me back saying she had the flu, and that she had been unable to get them done. Right.
  I emailed her back saying just stick the disc in the mail as at this point we have no urge to drive all the way to her to grab them... I was so upset. She emailed me back with a tracking number saying "her friend" had stuck them in the mail. Funny thing, the tracking number was fake! We now have not heard back from her at ALL - it's been almost 3 months, and we are sick to our stomachs over this.
  
  The most important thing to us was seeing the pictures afterwards... reliving the memory of our day and now she has only brought negativity and upset. Whatever you do, do NOT hire Gillian as once the checks are cashed and the hard work is to be done, she is no where to be found.

  Reading the last review...feels like our identical story...which makes me feel sick to my stomach!
  
  We first found Rhembein through another photographer, After looking through all of her work we were pretty stoked she wasnt booked for our wedding so we booked her right away...I now wish SO BADLY that we would have taken a couple extra minutes to read the reviews on her business..if you would even call it that.
  
  She was very responsive to all of our e-mails and calls when we were first meeting up to give her our deposit. at this point in time we still felt happy with our decision to go with her...great communication up until the wedding day. There was times where i felt she was fun and was getting great shots then there were times where i felt like she was trying to push us to get everything done so she could leave by 10:00 garder toss, bouquet, cake etc etc. the last thing i wanted on my wedding day was my photographer chirping in my ear trying to speed up the night so she could leave. After the wedding day was over communication (email, text, calls ) came to a hault.
  
  I was told 4-6 weeks would be what we were looking for as a time frame to recieve our photos. A few weeks later when it was obviously convenient for her to send us an email she assured us she would send the peeks and i quote "this afternoon"....8 days later we recieved an email saying she was going to her friends to send them to us and that they must have been kicked back...SURE.. We finally got the peeks and i sent her an email back saying thank you and also gave her our address which she had asked for. This is when it went from a little bit irritating to extremely frusturating and thinking i wasnt ever going to have those photos of our special day...I sent 4 different emails with our address (even made sure to check that they ALL sent properly) she then sends me an email pretending she hadnt heard from me at all and was still wondoring if i was going to give her my address and that she was very busy, out of telephone range, done for the season, getting a new computer and that the pictures would be in the mail with a tracking number to follow shortly after....I checked the mail every day, sent her 5 more emails asking her for the tracking number OR ANY INFORMATION AT ALL!!! after waiting 15 weeks feeling completely sick about the entire situation we recieved a ridiculous email sent from "her friend" at 2:05 in the morning saying that she was ill and that she sent the photos already but they must have got lost in the mail...OH and she lost the tracking number for those too conveniently enough....
  "her friend" then said she was going to the post office to re-send our photos...what a joke..DO NOT BOOK HER FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!
  
  The photos turned out alright but it was definately not worth the stress. I hope she learns from these reviews if she has any chance of carrying on with her business because that was complete GARBAGE.

She never had the time to do our engagement photos and we live out of province and were only able to do it at certain times when we were in town - but even with months in advance notice she could never seem to make it work. We finally had them done and we hated them all. We were a little worried for the wedding photos but kept looking at her site and the photos she had shown us and though it would be fine. She also took forever to get us our engagement photos and didn't respond - we should have fired her then - but nope. She did our wedding, she was rude to the wedding party, and took like 0 pics of the girls getting ready. I had asked her to take a photo of my wedding dress hanging and she said no. After the wedding she sent sneak peeks right away- then went missing for 6 weeks. Thats when I read all these reviews and started to freak out. After the 8 weeks had gone by that she said she would get the photos to us in - and she still hadnt responded to my, probably 100 emails, I told her I was going to take legal action. she responded immediately and we got our photo disk only because I said I want them now and I am coming to pick them up myself. We still have not recieved our wedding album and our pictures were not that great at all. We were very dissapointed. She didnt pay attention to the little details - like fluffing out my dress etc. so most of the pics its all scrunched up on the ground and looks horrible. She barely took any of the photos we asked for. She is a horrible business person- DO NOT FALL FOR HER LIES!!! DONT BOOK SHE IS A BIG BIG SCAM! Her price is not worth the stress. I didnt sleep for weeks worrying about all this. Horrible way to start our life as newlyweds. She is MY ONLY REGRET of our wedding. I hope her business is shut down.... Find someone else - she's not worth it I promise you.

  Had my photos done for engagement/wedding by Gillian. Was not 100% happy with the outcome... pictures were not HORRIBLE, but my gf also took some pics on her own DSLR for fun and honestly some of my friends pics are in frames and not the "professional" ones. My photos were NOT like what was on her website.
  She always seems to come up with an excuse why she can't follow thru... Rescheduled my engagement shoot several times to the point where I missed the fall season (which I wanted for photos) all together (ie: kids are sick, weather is not supposed to be nice even tho it turned out BEAUTIFUL she never called to see if we still wanted to go ahead with it etc).
  Took many weeks longer than she quoted to actually get my photos on a disk and I MADE her bring them to me as I was so fed up and did not want them mailed in hopes of eliminating another possible excuse (lost in mail?)... she had her boyfriend bring them.
  I would not recommend this photographer to anyone... My mum and I were actually crossing our fingers that she would even show up on the day of the wedding - not something you want to be worrying about.
  She did show up with her extra photographers and was fine on the day of the wedding but I missed a lot of the shots I wanted due to her saying there was not enough time and not pulling us aside to take photos (ie: wanted some sunset photos after dinner - never got them and we were so preoccupied I didn't even notice until it was too late)
  Hiring this photographer was THE ONLY REGRET I HAVE looking back on my wedding day. I have photos, pics are fine, but not what I had imagined.
  Do your research and honestly, pay just for an engagement session with ANY photog to see if you like them and their work before you book!!!!!

  Took our money and refused to answer any emails except when she'd say the photos were in the mail..which they never were... which she has also been saying for months. has ignored 25+ emails/phone calls I was provided with a fake tracking number and am now in the process of preparing to sue! stay far far away!

  Gil shot our May wedding - the pictures we NOT what we expected and we have not blown even one up as we were so disappointed. She showed up 1 hour late the DAY OF MY WEDDING whens she was to be taking shots of us girls getting ready. Then took 3 months to get us the pictures after being MIA every time we tried to ask her when they'd be ready.
  
  Then - she was to do a separate shoot for us which was included in the cost and Gil just decided she didn't wish to answer phone calls or emails. She is a fraud. Period. She takes your money then NEVER GETS BACK TO YOU.

  Gil shot our May wedding - the pictures we NOT what we expected and we have not blown even one up as we were so disappointed.
