  I never figured that hiring the DJ would be such a wonderful part of our wedding planning process and such a perfect part of our wedding day. Revolution is professional and all the people we dealt with were helpful, friendly and completely flexible to our needs/wants, from our very first meeting, to our music selection for the day of and everything in between. Rudy was our DJ at our wedding and he was fantastic. He kept the dance floor packed all night long, took requests and even endured an almost-riot when the night sadly had to come to a close. The lighting/sound/DJ combo was beyond compare to any of the weddings we have been to and made for a memorable, amazing evening. I would absolutely recommend Revolution to anyone!

  We were referred to Revolution Entertainment through our venue, which gave us a 10% discount on their price. Our initial meeting was with Ryan, who is the president of the company. He was knowledgeable and answered our questions honestly to help us make a decision. We only hired a DJ for the reception, as we decided to take care of our own music for the ceremony. After we signed the contract and paid our deposit, communications changed over to event coordinator Teresa, who was always easy to get ahold of and answered her emails quickly.
  
  The forms that Revolution had us fill out before the wedding were great, as they really had us think about musical moments during the reception that we wouldn't have done otherwise. They were also very accommodating in adding an mp3 of a local Edmonton band that my dad roadied with in the '80s to their music database so I could surprise him during the father-daughter dance with this unknown rare track.
  
  On the day of the wedding, our DJ Brian was everything we could have asked for. He checked in with both me and my husband frequently during the evening to make sure we didn't need anything else. He even joined us in a few dances later on in the night (one of my favourite reception photos is of Brian leading all the young adults on the dance floor to the choreographed moves to "Greased Lightning")! He played a good variety of music, and kept people on the dance floor all night.
  
  I would definitely hire Revolution DJ again for any future event I plan.

  Revolution was great to work with! They provided both our DJ and Photobooth services and we loved them! The planning went smoothly and they were always available to answer any questions we had or to give us a visual of the services we required. Their prices were a little high, although no higher from other highly recommended entertainment vendors, but they also have GREAT bundle deals if your require more that one service. The night of our wedding everything was perfect. The DJ read the crowd really well and even made sure to check in with us throughout the evening to get feedback. The photobooth was always stocked and running and our guests loved it!

  Our DJ was Matt, and he was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the way he interacted with the crowd in a welcoming and pleasant way, but not in an "I'm here to perform and show you how awesome I am with my scratching skills" kind of way. He was really unobtrusive but read the crowd amazingly well. We danced from 10:00 pm until 1:30 am when the lights came on in the ballroom and the dance floor was never empty for a moment! The mix of songs had something for everyone, and had a really nice flow to the evening. He was very attentive to our wishes and kept checking in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was the way we wanted it to be. Our number one goal for our wedding was to make it a fun party and we wanted everyone to dance the entire night. We accomplished this goal and our wedding was everything we wanted it to be, largely because Matt was such a wonderful DJ. We have been to a few other weddings this summer and my husband and I both feel our DJ was hands down the best one. Revolution is more expensive than other companies, but you really do get what you pay for. If you want someone professional and fun, not gimickey or full of night club style cheese, then definitely ask for Matt at revolution!

  Photo booth was a HUGE hit and worth every penny. Guests LOVED it. Only suggestion was they fix the volume of the videos cause the video record the guest messages when the photos are printing so the printer sounds sometimes made it hard to here the messages left. Its great we were able to get all the photos and video messages on a USB at the end of the night.

  Everyone at Revolution was very quick to respond to my emails and phonecalls. They had some great ideas for songs when I just never thought about specific events throughout the evening. The DJ had perfect timing and payed attention for every step and never missed a beat. It was more expensive than I thought it should be, but I've never used a DJ before so I just wasn't prepared for that. HAHA

  My DJ was a rookie. He was kind and played whatever I requested- but didn't really know how to keep the flow going. I had a mixed bag of an audience so his work was cut out for him and he took requests but it was a slow start. I needed more music people could dance to- not just classic hits. Also it was too quite. I could hardly hear the music for my first dance. I told him to turn up the volume twice. I felt bad for the guy but as a newbie he should have had someone with him to make sure he could have keep the dancefloor full. He supervisor didn't show up until way later in the night- too late to get the party started then! I booked them when another wedding I went to was awesome with a full dancefloor all night- I guess it depends on what DJ you get.

  This is a tough one; We had nothing but great experiences with the office staff who booked us. Ryan and Teresa were attentive, exuberant, and more than helpful pre-wedding throughout the booking process leading up to the wedding. It is clearly asked ahead of time whether or not you will provide a meal for the DJ (which we said that we would, and booked that accordingly with our venue prior to the catering deadlines), but on the day of the wedding, our wedding planner was approached by the catering manager at the venue and informed that one fellow had come to the back of the venue and informed him that he was one of two DJs that was going to be working this event (not previously discussed or communicated to us), and that he would need to make sure that both of them were going to be fed (rather than just the one who we had booked for). At no point did he come and introduce himself to our wedding planner or us, and we only found out about the second guy thirdhand (and declined to pay an additional fee from the venue for adding extra guests past the deadline). The second fellow soon disappeared, and the girl who stayed on as our DJ was very nice. We spent a great deal of time ahead of time to create a "must play" and "do not play" list, which was unfortunately ignored, as we did not hear many of the requested songs, and explicitly heard one that should not have been played at the same time that there was supposed to be an announcement. Another fellow stopped by later in the night who identified himself as a manager who was making the rounds (a very nice touch) to see how things were going, and when we let him know that this was one of our concerns, he told us he would chat with the DJ (who apologized about an hour before last call for playing the DNP song). The rest of the music was totally fine, they executed a very special father-daughter dance for my dad, our guests had a great time, but I would have preferred to not have so many unwanted day-of surprises from them.
