I had an incredible experience with Rethread Alterations! I had a very specific vision for a transforming wedding dress using an overskirt and dress I wanted to combine, and Chelsea brought it to life flawlessly. The craftsmanship, engineering, and attention to detail she put into it were beyond anything I imagined. We had over 45 children attend and they kept coming up to me the reception to tell me how beautiful I looked. I felt like one of the princesses in Disneyland! Chelsea’s communication, care, and skill were exceptional from start to finish. Reflecting back on my wedding, I was focused on the day itself rather than wardrobe malfunctions or tripping over my skirt. The best engineering is the kind you don't even notice. -

Chelsea truly makes dreams come true! She was by far my favorite vendor to work with—I really appreciated that she’s so organized and has streamlined her process/system. I never had to email her, she always emailed me reminders and I never had to ask questions because the information was clearly stated. I felt like she was always one step ahead of me, which was such a relief since I’m very “Type A” and usually have to be the one to drive these sorts of interactions. As far as my dress goes, I couldn’t be happier. She hemmed my dress, adjusted the straps, installed bra cups, and created a beautiful bustle. To top it I all off, she shot a video showing how to bustle my dress, which I air dropped to my MOH so that she could easily bustle my dress on my wedding day. 10/10, thank you, Chelsea! -

A couple weeks out from my wedding I got a second dress, she fit me in to get that one altered, and it was done with time to spare. I 100% recommend working with her! -

I'm so glad I found Chelsea! She has a great collection of before and afters of her work on her instagram, which was so helpful to see. She did a great job of talking through and showing me all the options I had for my bustle and train length. She always listened to my concerns and walked me through the pricing. Such a transparent process was a huge plus! Chelsea is such a kind and considerate person top of it all. I highly recommend going to her! 10/10! -

I wholeheartedly recommend Rethread Alterations. Chelsea was an absolute joy to work with. She was fun, flexible, kind, professional, and did an amazing job. She expertly reworked my wedding gown to make it just right and adjusted the hem on my reception dress. She absolutely saved the decoration on my wedding gown last-minute after a dry cleaning mishap just a few days before the wedding! She also expertly altered my dad's tuxedo jacket, which he was very pleased with. -

Chelsea is phenomenal
Chelsea is so sweet and kind, and great at what she does! It took me forever to find my dress, which put me in between a rock and a hard place with my timeline. I was in a pinch to get alterations done before our elopement, and most vendors were in the busiest time as so many covid weddings were postponed. Chelsea was able to fit me in within my timeline and her work was high quality. I had two different fittings with her (one for measurements and one to ensure I liked the fit once altered). She was thoughtful and detailed, and even gave me a video of her showing me how to bustle my dress. She also gave me and my husband a sweet hand written card when I went to pick up my dress. She is full of thoughtful details and she is very talented at what she does. My dress had a very unique overlay, and you could not tell it was altered/cut at all. I would highly recommend Chelsea to other brides or anyone needing alterations. -

I had the best experience working with Chelsea! She is incredibly talented, knowledgeable and so so sweet. I came to her just a month before my wedding after a last minute dress change and she was able to complete the alterations so quickly. Her work is so detailed, she tweaked things I never knew could help so much with the fit of the dress. Above all else she is incredibly kind and pours her heart into every client! -

What a dream!!
Working with Chelsea was so special. She was creative and kind. She worked with me on what I wanted for my dress. She completely gutted it and reconstructed it in the best way possible. Being only a few months past having a baby when the process started I was very nervous, however, she took her time and had so much grace with me! Chelsea was super fast to respond and got me in for appointments quickly. She was very flexible since I didn’t know what exact date I would get my dress in.
Chelsea was so friendly and super knowledgeable and made me feel really comfortable the whole time.
My dress requires quite a bit of alteration including completely rebuilding the sleeves and adding a corset but Chelsea did amazing and you couldn’t even tell there had been any changes. -

Amazing Work!
Chelsea is amazing! I have had her alter two dresses for me, to include my wedding dress and I couldn't have asked for better services! My wedding dress had five layers and needed a bustle, Chelsea knocked it out in plenty of time for my wedding and even had a video for me to show my bridesmaids who helped me bustle my dress the day of! She is so good at what she does, and is incredibly easy to work with. I have suggested her to anyone look for alterations in the Yamhill County area. I look forward to working with her again! -

Amazing client services and high quality work!
Chelsea at Rethread Alterations LLC was amazing! She did my wedding dress alterations and I could not be happier with the results. She did so many things such as install a three point bustle, hemming, adjusted the bust size of the dress, added beautiful off the shoulder sleeves, and much more. All the work she did was very high quality and throughout the entire process, Chelsea was very kind, professional, and fun to work with! She always made sure I was happy before any changes were made and triple checked everything I wanted. I had zero problems with communication or with conveying what I wanted. She is an amazing person and seamstress! 10/10!! -

Sew Magical!
Chelsea was so fun and easy to work with! I am a super indecisive person and she literally made my dream come true, without me even knowing what it was before walking into my first appointment. She worked some serious magic on my wedding dress, adding sleeves and removing quite a bit of length (I'm only 5'2"), as well as creating a beautiful bustle.
I received many compliments on my dress, with many people saying (it is SO you!) I would highly recommend Chelsea to any Brides-to-be, and anyone looking for ANY alteration work. -

Chelsea worked on both my bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress. Both dresses were hemmed on the skirt and sleeve length. She also put in my bustle. She is very friendly and we had a very relaxing time fitting our dresses! Everything looked great and her pricing information was very helpful. -

Lauren Sent on 04/11/2018Chelsea does such an amazing job with wedding gown alterations, and I was blown away by how inexpensive her work is! My gown was designer but I bought it off the rack at a sale - it needed to be taken in at the side seams (including replacing boning), the lining layers and top layer had to be hemmed, and I had her install a 2-point overbustle. When she was finished, it was Cinderella-level perfect for me. She was super flexible with scheduling fittings, beyond accomodating during our appointments and just one of the sweetest gals I've ever met. She has altered two of my close friends' wedding gowns as well - I highly recommend her to anyone looking for alterations!!

Chelsea is very positive and upbeat. She makes you feel great in the dress even before her alterations. I came to her for two very different wedding dresses. My ceremony dress needed to be taken in a LOT. She made it fit comfortably without disrupting and of the beautiful beadwork on the back. It also needed to be hemmed and bustled. When we measure for the hem I wore my heels. Well, those heels didn't last long the day of and the dress still wasn't too long. I believe the bustle was a 9 point bustle. During our final fitting she filmed a video tutorial of her bustling it on me for use on the big day, and boy was it helpful! I had originally planned on wearing a tea length dress during the reception because my venue was outdoors and I didn't want to worry about the long train on my ceremony dress. The bustled worked out so well and looked so nice I didn't even wear the reception dress! For the reception dress I had her take it in a bit, cups sewn in, and may have even hemmed it. The whole thing for both dresses cost me about $500, which was more than I wanted to spend but well worth it. She even sent the dresses off with a little card congratulating my husband and I. I would highly recommend Chelsea to future brides! -
