Chef Ellen really came through for us and delivered a great catering experience for our guests. Our event was a bit non-traditional and full of our own custom dishes, which she seamlessly incorporated into her catering plan for the event. Kudos to the staff as well for their support and positive interactions with our guests, a very hardworking team. Additionally, Chef Ellen came through on aspects that quite frankly weren't even her responsibility making sure that design aspects as it related to table placement and setting made sense both functionally and aesthetically.Renegade Outpost's reply:

Chef Ellen is truly one of a kind! We couldn’t be happier with our choice to use Renegade Outpost at our wedding this past September! Chef Ellen is amazing and truly cares about the entire event going well, not just the food.
We thought we were throwing a curveball with our unique cocktail-style reception… 4 hours of continuous passed apps, grazing tables, and more. But Chef Ellen made it all look easy.
She came to walkthroughs at our venue and helped us create the perfect custom menu for our day. She also had so many ideas to help us make the most of the space, ensure a good flow of the party, and more. Ellen’s prices are very fair and she will work within your budget. The passed apps were unreal (our guests are still raving about them) and the grazing table was absolutely gorgeous and constantly stocked. The whole team, from the cooks to the servers, was amazing: fast, friendly, and organized.
If you’re looking for a caterer who can create a unique and delicious menu while bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience (Michelin-star experience, to boot!), we highly recommend Renegade Outpost. Chef Ellen helped make our day unforgettable!

We chose Renegade Outpost based on their extensive menu and value for money. Chef Ellen worked with us from day one to create a beautiful, customized menu that all of our guests loved (and so did we!). She also worked with us on other aspects of planning such as party rentals and a floor plan. A major bonus is that Renegade Outpost focuses on minimizing food waste. The food was delicious, beautiful and eco-friendly and the staff was super helpful and helped give us the most magical wedding day experience. -

Chef Ellen was really great to work with! From the start of our conversation to the wedding day, working with Renegade Outpost was an exceptional experience.
Everyone raved about the food at our wedding! The appetizers were an early show stopper. Our favorites were the Cremini mushrooms & Jackfruit Mini Tacos - YUM! We had Latin style main entree, Pollo Guisado, which my husband absolutely loved.
On top of the amazing food Chef Ellen was really fabulous to work with personally. She worked within my budget, made it easy to stay in touch, and I felt she had our best interest at heart. She was personable and gave us her honest options and opinions. She also helped us with the rentals we needed and finding a bar tender. I was very satisfied with our whole experience. -

Ellen cooked all the appetizers and heavy plates to share for my sons baptism reception. She brought all of the platters with her and the presentation of the food was beautiful. The food was fresh and delicious. We had limited space and she made it work! Thanks Ellen, I hope to use you again even though we moved to CT.Renegade Outpost's reply:

We had an excellent experience with Ellen. The food was delicious. The entire approach was very professional. And Ellen was a complete pleasure to work with. She took all pressure out of the event and handled everything so that myself and the guests could sit back and enjoy ourselves. We spent time together coming up with the menu to create something that all of our guests would like (and they certainly did!).Renegade Outpost's reply:

Professional and Elegant
We hired Chef Ellen after we reached an impasse with another caterer. She helped us put together wedding in a month's time, and I felt confident the whole time that she would be up to the task. The presentation and the service were great, and word is that everyone loved the food!Renegade Outpost's reply:

Dream Backyard Wedding
Chef Ellen goes above and beyond. We had a backyard wedding for 117 guests with passed hors d’oeuvres, appetizer station (a surprise by chef!), sit down plated entrees, as well as finger sized desserts! We had a tasting prior to decide the final menu. The food is phenomenal-the chef used both our indoor kitchen as well as our garage for food prep/cooking. Not only does she supply food and server staff, but has a plethora of vendor connections for all wedding necessities- floral decor, bartending staff and decor, linen decor, tent/table/chair vendors, etc! She also provided a vendor for the floral arch at our ceremony!
Transparent pricing- never felt shortchanged. We talked on the phone often, going through various, in depth details that by the pictures, you can see were worth the extra time! Will be using chef again for our baby gender reveal party!
