    Our wedding at The Renaissance Schaumburg was perfect. Everyone was so helpful every step of the way and did everything it took to make sure our day went well.

    Wow! We had an amazing wedding at the Renaissance! They were very detail oriented, responded quickly to emails, and the whole day came together great! They were willing to add special touches that we wanted. They were also very flexible about special catering requirements- they made a special piece of cake for a cousin who was severely allergic to nuts, and they brought in special Kosher meals for some of our guests!! I didn't worry about a single thing. They also kept track of the gifts that people brought, and gathered everything at the end of the night. They also did a great job running the reception- keeping curious bystanders from coming in, and they also got things out of my dad's car when we forgot them!

    Our guests said it was the best wedding ever, amazing food, and great ambience.

    We used Lindsay as our planner and I cannot say enough good things! I was planning from a distance so my mom interacted alot with the hotel, and they were really good about making sure that we all got what we wanted!

    The Management and Staff at the Renaissance Convention Center and Hotel help make our Chicago Shoe Market a great experience and success! The professional, curtious and hardwork that goes into coordinating and taking care of the details in a prompt fashion does not go unnoticed! Proud to be a partner and hold our events at this outstanding venue!

    Erin DeSart and Chris Boardman were just the right mix of people to schedule and organize our ceremony, cocktails, and dinner/reception. The event staff and the hotel staff were responsive to our every need. They have many contacts to help you plan your wedding from lighting to draperies. The service at the reception was perfect and the food was fantastic. The staff worked with our wedding planner on every detail. We highly recommend the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center for your wedding day.

    Erin DeSart and Katie Hirz were incredible at making sure that our wedding turned out to be the best! Food at this venue is fantastic, linens and such worked out great as Katie assisted with a lot of coordinating. Overall, my husband and I were thoroughly pleased. I'm incredibly lucky that we had our wedding here!

    The Renaissance Schaumburg was absolutely beautiful for our reception. The person we worked with and would HIGHLY recommend was Karyn Midona. The renaissance helped us and was willing to be flexible on some of the things and customize our wedding reception just for us. Karyn was very responsive to my many emails and phone calls and would always get back to me very quickly. We were able to take advantage of free chair covers(this was an incentive). Everyone even people who tend to be picky about food said it was great food. We had three options; steak, chicken, and fish (halibut). I had the steak and my husband had the fish both were perfectly done and very tasty.

    Thank you to the whole Renaissance Schaumburg team from start to finish for making our wedding BEYOND ANYTHING WE COULD HAVE EXPECT!

    There is not one thing that I would change about that day and are so pleased that we choose this location as our venue!!

    On the day of our wedding, the Renaissance ensured everything was perfect. The venue was beautiful. Their service was impeccable and very friendly. They even sent us special gifts to the room!

    The Renaissance is one of the most beautiful hotels in the area and had plenty of space to accommodate our guests and event needs. There was some miscommunication, but everything turned out perfectly. The ballrooms have high ceilings, carpets were recently replaced, there is plenty of space for pictures, and the staff is very helpful. They even custom made our cake--very unique and beautiful!

    The venue was amazingly beautiful. They did a wonderful job setting up and making sure the wedding was schedule was perfect. The food was to die for! I usually expect banquette type food, dry and sitting out but, they had it perfect! I would had guest we were at Gibson’s with how well done everything was. The only complaint I would have was the communication up to the day and on the day of the wedding. We were constantly emailing the sales staff trying to figure out what was going on and on the day of we were taking guesses as to when we should head down to the venue. This was semi nerve wrecking since it was very important to me that the groom not see me before the ceremony. Other than the communication, everything went on without a problem!

    In terms of ambiance and quality of rooms, this is hotel is beyond beautiful. It's absolutely amazing. It is fantastic!

    However, in terms of planning a wedding, the staff at this hotel was completely inflexible and incompetent on the wedding day. While planning (14 months of planning time) the wedding planning and staff kept promising that everything would be planned and detailed to the "T." Their notes and communication proved to me that they were on top of their game. The had continuously assured my family and I that they were able to do everything and meet our expectations. For the price fo the venue and the amenties, we wanted to make sure everything turned out to be great. I know nothing ever turns out perfect, but we did not want any major mishappenings. The wedding planning promised that she had planned over 50+ weddings and would be able to do this. However, the day of the wedding, the wedding planner was not only missing, but was not able to be found. By the time she was "found" we had missed some time. She was not there to direct the wedding party entrance into the wedding ceremony. She had not arranged the ballroom seats in the way that she had shown us in the seating arrangement. For the cocktail hour, all of the bars and tables were arranged in a very nonfunctional manner, again, she had changed the plans without consulting us. She had no idea what she was doing and it was a horrible horrible experience. I would definitely recommend the hotel again, but I will not recommend the wedding planner and/or staff.
