I can’t say enough about the Renaissance team. Every bit of our experience was amazing. Our guests were left in awe. You MUST book this venue. The food, the arrangements and service were exceptional. The rooms were great too!

Words can't express how thankful I am for Tracy and her team! From the time we went to go look at the venue to the actual day, everything was done flawlessly. They were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our day was special - they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Tracy, the wedding coordinator was amazing! So sweet, professional and is clearly very knowledgeable about the wedding industry. She also was very honest with her feedback and advice. She responded immediately and did all she could do for us. Steve, the banquets manager was also amazing! He made sure we were good throughout the night and curated the best signature drink ever! This venue is perfect for anyone who wants one venue for both the ceremony and reception. Also, alot of nice hidden spots to get awesome wedding pics as well. Highly recommended!!! Thank you again to you all and your amazing staff! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the amazing ambiance and food!

We fell in love with the hotel and ballroom on our first visit there. Tracy was very accommodating and flexible with us - she really helped us and worked within our budget to make our wedding weekend the best. She was very easy to work with, quick to reply, and checked in with our several times the night before the wedding and on the day of. The food was also delicious - our guests are still having about it. Definitely recommend the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare!!

My husband and I had our wedding reception (Welsh wedding) at the Renaissance O'Hare in July 2018. We are so happy we chose the Renaissance and had the most AMAZING wedding reception here. It was the best! We booked with the Renaissance a year prior when Katy was the wedding coordinator and she helped us feel very comfortable in selecting the hotel as our reception venue, was very knowledgable, and negotiated with my parents an AMAZING contract. We got amazing deals on our room block ($99), free parking for all guests, and on the bar and food package. Their packages are phenomenal and affordable, especially for a Chicago wedding when things sometimes can be pricey. After a few months, Katy took a new job at the hotel and Tracy Pinkerton stepped in her role. Tracy did just as a fabulous of a job! She had a ton of experience and things we did with Katy were relayed over to her very nicely. Throughout the process, Tracy helped us in feeling confident, comfortable, and providing thorough timelines of our wedding reception. She also led our tasting, and we were so happy we picked this hotel with its delicious food! :)

Our wedding day went great at the Renaissance! Tracy and her team set up our decor how we asked and it looked BEAUTIFUL! The reception ballroom looked fabulous and so gorgeous. The meals, appetizers, and late night bites were delicious and complimented on throughout the night and next day. Sometimes wedding food notoriously isn't the best, but the Renaissance delivered on the food and flavorful dishes. The bartenders were great and quick. Tracy and Steve (banquet captain) checked on us throughout the evening to make sure things were going okay, and quickly adjusted anything we asked. Every other staff member was helpful to us and our guests throughout the wedding weekend and was also noticed and appreciated by our guests for their hard work. All of our guests had a fabulous time.

My husband and I got married on April and we were SO HAPPY to have chosen the Renaissance O'Hare Suites as our wedding venue! And working with Katy Taylor at the Renaissance was AMAZING! She was so great to work with, was there for us throughout our whole process, and also on the wedding day. I did not need any separate day of coordinator, she made sure everything ran smoothly. Choosing this venue was the best decision. We have visited many other venues, however this location fit us best. We needed a place near O'hare since many of our guests had to fly in, so the convenience was there and they also offer complimentary shuttle service. The staff also for the entire weekend, was so friendly to our guests. People who stayed raved to us about how the hotel was so nice to them, and that the service was spot on. The bartender became famous as well with our group!

For the wedding venue, we were the only main event that day as there is only 1 large main ballroom. So they really focus on you that day. Also, it was easy for our guests to be all in one place for our ceremony to reception since we had it all there, along with our hotel block. We were looking for convenience, service, and ease, and that's what we got. Myself as the bride didn't worry about any of the vendors, set up, that day since I knew Katy was there to help and everything went perfectly. The food was amazing, and the drinks were flowing. That's all we could have asked for.

We were very happy with the Renaissance as our event space for our wedding. Melinda and Steve were a pleasure to work with. Melinda handled the logistics up to the day off and did a great job communicating not only with me but also with my vendors (florist, photographer, band, photo booth) to ensure a smooth set up on the day of.
Steve manages the event the day of and does an excellent job ensuring everything runs smoothly. He even called me the day after the wedding (on his day off) to make sure we received everything.

The food was also very good! The chef is very pleasant and we enjoyed our food tasting. Many of our (typically picky/honest) guests let us know that it really good food.

We really liked the main lobby space for the cocktail hour. Though it is the main lobby, you would never know that the day off. Guests not part of the wedding are not able to access that part which is nice. Many of our guests loved the cocktail hour space, apps, and signature drink. Having a big party crowd, a full stocked bar with high quality drinks was important to us. The Renaissance did not disappoint. Our crowd was certainly not thirsty or hungry!

We were very happy with using the Renaissance for our wedding.

The Renaissance was a perfect venue for my daughter's New Years Eve wedding. The wedding planner, Mercedes Ogorek, was beyond
helpful. Her suggestions made us feel that she was personally invested in this event. I was not surprised to see that she was present at the wedding, making sure all of our visions were met!
Making sure our guests were transported safely to a nearby church for the wedding, providing free parking for the reception, filling our table cylinder vases with orchids (which we provided), suggesting lovely additions to the menu (kudos to Steve Mahoney, the manager, for his input) and creating a signature cocktail - all of this attention to detail was appreciated. Thank you, Mercedes.

Mercedes and the rest of the staff were professional, friendly, and could not have been easier to work with. We were quite rushed with our wedding planning and Mercedes' attention to detail helped us get everything together in time! We had numerous compliments about the kindness of the staff, how smoothly everything flowed, and what a great event space it was. Now I know why there were so many great reviews online :-) .

Our wedding at the Renaissance O'Hare was fantastic, thanks in large part to the great staff with whom we interacted. We worked with Mercedes throughout our planning for our wedding, and we could not have been happier with her service. In addition to being extremely attentive and knowledgeable, Mercedes was extremely friendly and seemed truly committed to ensuring that our event went off smoothly. Additionally, Billy and the service crew made sure that everyone was properly taken care of, paying special attention to the groom (Billy even gave me an extra steak, as I think he could sense that I was pretty hungry due to a long day of prep work). Finally, Steve organized all of the details for us, allowing us to simply enjoy the night.

Absolutely the most Incredible Customer Service & Quality that I've experienced in a very, very long time! Renaissance staff, especially Steve Mahoney, Morgan @ the Front Desk, and Mercedes Ogorek were wonderful. They went above and beyond at every turn to make our daughter's wedding a truly special experience. They were there to answer every question, attend to every detail, offer advise, and make sure we had everything we needed! We can honestly say that our event was everything we dreamed of . . . . and more. So many of our guests commented on the beautiful surroundings, and wonderful staff throughout their stay at the hotel. Our guests loved the entire experience. We have two more daughters, and we are already hoping that they get married in the Chicago-land area so we can host the event at the Renaissance O'Hare again!

Choosing this venue was one of the best choices we made during the planning process. After looking at various venues, we decided we wanted a place that would focus on our wedding. It is close to O'Hare, and has a shuttle that will pick up/drop off guests at the airport. We had family traveling to our wedding, so it was important to have somewhere that would be convenient for them to get to. Since we were the only wedding that day (There is only 1 ballroom), the staff was able to cater to our needs. Working with Mercedes was amazing. She answered all of my questions, even though I thought they were silly, and reassured me throughout all of the decisions. She was easy to contact and was so flexible with some of the changes I made last minute. The staff at the Renaissance were so kind and helpful the entire weekend. We also received so MANY compliments about the food. Our guests were blown away with the presentation and that it was not typical wedding food. Everything turned out perfectly. It was everything that we wanted for our wedding and more. I could not have asked for a better venue with an even better staff.

Overall we had a great experience. A few minor hiccups that can be expected at any event but nothing our guests would ever know about. Would highly recommemd

As parents of the groom, we couldn't have been happier with the outcome of our son and daughter in law's reception. Everyone was very so accommodating and helpful. Everything was beautiful and the events of the day were just as the bride and groom wished. Thank you for all of your help and helping to make a perfect event.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Renaissance O'Hare in October of 2013. When selecting a venue for our wedding reception, we loved that the Renaissance has only one ballroom. Most of the hotel guests for the weekend were there to celebrate with us! The location was easy to get to for our guests from out of town, the city, and the suburbs.

Words cannot express how amazing it was to work with the staff at the Renaissance. The attention to detail and their responsiveness truly made our planning experiences easy and smooth! The food selection and preparation was absolutely exquisite. The dinner service was right on par making the overall experience a wonderful one for our guests.

I would highly recommend the Renaissance O'Hare for any wedding or large event.

We got married back in June and I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was that i chose the Renaissance O'hare as my venue. First off when we booked the venue i started off with one of the event manager and a few months later she ended up leaving the Renaissance and they hired on a new person. At first i was worried but the staff there reassured me that everything was going to be great and as soon as i met our new event planner I knew everything was going to be OK. This venue is just top notch service and super accommodating. Whatever i wanted or asked for it was there they made me feel like it was all about me and whatever i wanted is possible. Meagan, who was the social event manager and Steve, who was the catering manager were both there for my big day and made sure everything flowed properly. I was just blown away by the amazing customer service from day 1. After our wedding our guest couldn't stop raving about the food, everyone loved the filet and said how surprised they were that wedding food actually tasted amazing. All in all i can't say enough great things about this venue and i'm so happy that i chose this place, they are just absolutely top notch amazing. Thanks Renaissance for making my big day amazing!

Chicago Ohare Renaissance Suites saved our wedding! Our original wedding venue closed 5 weeks prior to our event with no notice and no refund. We had a wedding reception of 275 guests and lucky for us the Chicago Ohare Renaissance Suites had our date available. We worked with Sarah Boal who made everything seem like a breeze. She worked with our budget and any change/question/suggestion was welcome and accomodated. Sara worked with us everystep of the way and the planning of this event which we had taken a year to do, went smoothly in 5 weeks. We never felt rushed and after the fact realized what a blessing it was to have found them!!! I would recommend them to every bride!

Beautiful venue! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Everything we had hoped it would be!

The entire staff was awesome. There were a few changes in staff from the moment I signed my contract until my actual wedding date, but Mercedes jumped right in and didn't miss a beat. Mercedes was very accessible and flexible when it came to making my day special. I would definitely recommend this venue for any wedding, the entire staff gives you their undivided attention and makes you feel that nothing else matters but you and your wedding day.

Ashley was wonderful to work with and did everything she could to make sure our wedding weekend went smoothly. She was super responsive and detail-oriented in the planning process, and handled all the details during the weekend.

The hotel itself is beautiful - only a few years old so in great condition, a beautiful ballroom and a great lounge area in the lobby. The guest rooms are all suites and pretty new/modern.

You were very helpful and accommodating to us, especially as the event neared and I decided to include breakfast for some guests, and open up my room early for hospitality. Your timely responses to Colleen and my questions and concerns all along allowed us to make decisions and not wonder unnecessarily about plans. The hotel bags were dispensed as indicated. I am not sure where the communication glitch came from between my commitment to 50 guests for the October 5th breakfast and Fresh telling us they were only told there would be 25 people, but we did move tables around that morning to accommodate the size of our party. You, however, are a definite asset to the hotel. The only other thing the venue could improve on would be with the banquet staff. One of the flower girls received her fruit and after 15 minutes waiting for fruit for the second one, ( during which time I asked a server about her fruit) I took her back to the area of the kitchen to inquire about it, and was put off. Eventually it came. The staff should also be aware of not arguing with a guest, who was acting on my behalf to alert them table 8 had been set up for 8 when there were to be 12. It was not until they pulled out the table plan Colleen had submitted, that they relented and set up the four additional places. And lastly, and only to help improve, as the mother of the bride, I was rarely in my seat, and my food plates were taken before i could actually eat them. :( There was no discussion, they jut disappeared). I was glad I attended the tasting, so i could concur with the guests who did rave about the food. Thank you for everything you did to make Colleens dream wedding come true.

I enjoyed haivng our reception at Renaissance O'hare. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. I went through a couple wedding planners, but the next planner made me feel very comfortable and I have actually gained a new friend since working with her. The staff was in constant contact with me and met my needs and wants. Our guests spoke highly about the venue and the food. Service was outstanding and I was very happy and glad we booked with Renaissance!

Although I have not had my wedding yet, we are having our wedding at the Renaissance Hotel. And it's been a great experience planning with Mercedes so far. From the first time that we checked out the hotel we knew it was the place. We really enjoyed meeting Mercedes and Steve. They both showed great professionalism and hospitality to us. Even the other hotel staff were very nice. The hotel is beautiful and it is great to have only one ballroom so that your wedding is the only one that night. Planning with Mercedes has been easy and fun so far! She is really great at responding quickly. She even emails to check in with you every now and then. She has been super kind to allow my fiancé and I to bring our families to come check out other weddings. And I have seen her in action helping to coordinate vendors and staff at setting up the room. We really like Mercedes, and can't wait to plan more with her. So far we've had a great experience planning for next year.
