    Highly Recommend!

    This is a long overdue review as I had my wedding reception here on 10/19/19, but I wanted to really take my time with this review. I have nothing but positive, warm reviews for Claudia and the staff here. I had no experience when it came to wedding planning and the last wedding in my family was about 10 years ago. Working with Claudia was a dream! She was so open minded and accommodating when it came to any requests or ideas we had in mind with our wedding. She did everything she could to make sure we had a stress-free year of planning. Claudia was also so quick to respond that I never had to worry about communicating with her at all. One thing that I really appreciated was her keeping me updated when she wouldn’t be in her office or just as available- even giving me her personal number for emergencies just so I had peace of mind. I know it seems like common sense, but I’ve worked with many people who would not let me know and I would just get an automatic reply via email. The reception ran so smoothly that if there were any issues that went on- I would not have even guessed or noticed. We had no complaints- the guests are still talking about the delicious food and the beautiful cocktail hour in their atrium. My in-laws flew in from California, and they chose to stay at the hotel the whole week prior and after the reception. The whole time they were there- no complaints either. Every staff member I interacted with throughout this whole process was amazing. From making adjustments to hotel room blocks, to the chef at our food tasting and the day of, to the receptionist and hotel staff who treated all our guests so kindly at the reception, I am so grateful for you all. I highly recommend this hotel for any event, but for weddings especially, you will not regret it!

    Best decision ever!

    Maureen was so wonderful to work with! She is very organized, responsive, and professional. We were planning the wedding from out of state and Maureen was super accommodating! I also cannot say enough amazing things about the chef. We had so many of our guests compliment the venue and the food! The cocktail hour was in the atrium, which was absolutely beautiful and romantic. Everything about our wedding reception was perfect, I highly recommend booking this venue!!! You won't regret it!

    My now husband and I picked the Wyndham Glenview Suites for our wedding on October 17, 2014. They were AMAZING. Our wedding was honestly the wedding of our dreams. Katy Taylor, the event coordinator, was so accommodating and incredibly helpful. The food for our wedding and even the continental breakfast the next morning was TOP NOTCH. There was not a single complaint about the food. Food came out hot and delicious. The bar tenders were very patient and kind to all 250 of my guests. The manager on staff, Matthew Clayson, made sure all of my guests had everything they needed. The rooms were incredibly spacious.They are all suites, and fit 5 comfortably (that is including the couch). The hotel bar Legends was great! The bartender was so nice and helped out all of my guests. The hotel staff kept everything clean and orderly. If something was not to our liking, they fixed it right away. The hotel shuttle service was wonderful. If you needed to go somewhere within a 5 mile radius, they would take you. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the Wyndham Glenview Suites. We had over 50 rooms booked, and not a single complaint. I had over 250 guests, and everyone was amazing at how wonderful this place was and is. If you are looking for a FANTASTIC place to stay, pick this place. You will not be disappointed. There was not a single glitch to our weekend. It was the weekend of our dreams all because of they wonderful staff. We can not say enough great things about this place. I can not wait to work with this staff again.

    Beautiful Wedding Venue!

    The Rennaissance in Glenview was the first venue my husband and I viewed when we began our search. We ended up canceling half of our viewings afterward because it was absolutely perfect for our wedding. No other venue had all of the beauty and flexibility that the Rennaissance Glenview had. We did have some hiccups with staffing changes during our planning process, but everyone we worked with was extremely professional and had an abundance of experience in planning wedding events like ours. We had around 250 guests, and since many were coming from out-of-town we were happy that the hotel could accommodate our guests who wanted to spend the night there. Having everyone in one place for our wedding weekend really made it feel special for us. We held our cocktail hour in the atrium, but it would also have been the perfect place to have a ceremony (we had ours at church). The ballroom and foyer areas were transformed to accommodate our photo booth as well as a few extra bars per our request. Fay worked with our wedding coordinator and all other vendors to help pull off an amazing event!

    We had a beautiful wedding. Thank you Monica and everyone at the Wyndham. My only concern was that i wish i would've known about the construction beforehand. It was bit unsightly and it was hard when the main entrance was the same entrance as our wedding guests. The lobby ended up being really crowded filled with various people. Regardless everything went well.

    We used the Wyndham Hotel not only for our reception and cocktail hour, but also to get ready for the day and for our guests and us to stay the night. We originally picked out the hotel after falling in love with The Redfield Estate & The Grove, which is located across the street from the Wyndham hotel. We checked out a few hotels in the nearby area, but fell in love with the Wyndham once we saw their Atrium and their banquet hall, of which we wouldn't have to share with anyone. The idea of getting the entire banquet hall and atrium for our event was great, and the woman who we met (Amy Garstki) was very friendly and helpful when we were just starting to plan our wedding. However, after a few months we received a phone call from the Wyndham saying that Amy was let go and we would have to work with the new wedding coordinator. Thank God for this because if this didn't happen, we wouldn't have known that our contract got messed up and had the wrong date on it! My dad signed the contract without realizing this fact, and so we were under the impression that all was correct until we met with the new wedding coordinator and he said the wedding was set for a sunday, when it was supposed to be a saturday. Thankfully it was still early enough and no one else had booked that saturday, there was one couple considering that date but they got booted thankfully. The new coordinator- Glenn Griffith- was one of the most helpful people I've ever met. He was very flexible with us, my mom demanded a certain bakery be used that the Wyndham doesn't normally work with but they did for us. We were able to do the tasting in the late afternoon so that no one missed work. Glenn helped me pick out the tablecloths and chair sash colors. He also helped me with tons of little details: having a room ready for us girls early in the morning on the day of to get ready in, and we had the room all day to keep our stuff in. He helped us go through the rehearsal since our pastor couldn't be there.

    The Wyndham Glenview was a fantastic venue for our fall wedding. The two coordinators that we worked with were accommodating and supportive of our requests. We were quite impressed by the cleanliness and quality of the venue, meals, and service. For any hiccups, the staff was incredibly supportive and helpful. We were even allowed the opportunity to utilize the shuttle service more than four times for the bridal party and after party travels to the church, park, and local establishments. A great place to host a wedding or large event!

    We experience some problems at the reception with scheduling, food, etc. The response from the Wyndham was to blame the employees and to go as far as to fire someone. No one up the ladder took any responsibility for the mistakes that were made. While very pleasing to the eye, we would not use this venue again.
