Renaissance Hotel & Janira Gabe my husband and I the wedding of our dreams and we couldn’t be more thankful. When we first got engaged I created a wedding wire account asking for information on different venues to potential have our wedding at. Wouldn’t you know Janira was the very first person to write to me. As a kid I would always see wedding or events in hotel ballrooms whole staying at a hotel and I remember just standing in the door way wanting to see everything because I was so fascinated. I always knew a hotel was the perfect place for me to have a wedding. My fiancé wasn’t fully in board at first as he had another venue in mind. When we meet with Janira, she was so kind and compassionate and the hotel was gorgeous I knew even more so this is where I wanted to say I do. Again my husband had his doubts. Until that very same night when Janira sent us an email with an updated proposal. Her professionalism, kindness, work ethic, and true sense of generosity showed in that email. At that moment, my fiancé said yes, I want that hotel and I want to work with Janira. Over the course of 14 months we worked with her and spoke to her many many many times and each time was more pleasant than the last and you could tell she truly wanted to help. I was a panicked bride wanting to make sure details were accurate and all was okay. She truly went ABOVE & BEYOND for my husband and I. We had a few unforeseen circumstances and she helped to come up with a solution and work out for us. Every time we visited the hotel it became more gorgeous and every staff member was so kind and thankful. Our wedding day came and it was perfect. The food that the kitchen prepared was to die for! Janira and Sandra made sure my husband and I ate our food, and had everything we needed that night. Jacob was also so attentive with helping my husband and I and we truly enjoyed meeting him. I can go on and on about my experience with the hotel. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Renaissance Hotel & Janira and her team for making our wedding so special. I highly recommend them for events. When the time comes and I am expecting, my husband and I know we want to host a baby shower breakfast or lunch here so we can work with them all again.

The Social Catering Manager was amazing! She was extremely helpful and was always prompt to answer my e-mails and phone calls.

We stayed at the Renaissance our wedding night in one of their luxury suites on the club level. Before the wedding, the bridal party and I used the suite to get ready. My husband and I also did our first look outside in the courtyard.

The location was perfect, less than 10mins. from our venue. The rooms, lobby, and outdoor areas were all clean and nicely decorated. Our room had a spacious master bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed, and a bathroom large enough for all my bridesmaids to get ready and have enough mirror room. It also had an adjoining lounge area perfect for the downtime between getting ready and the start of the ceremony. The staff was very accommodating, granting us an early check-in and upgrading our room view. The day of the wedding, the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant; everyone greeted us warmly, congratulating us on the wedding. We also returned to the room to see a platter of chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne! Overall, it was a beautiful experience. The Renaissance really went out of their way to make us feel special. I'd highly recommend to anyone!

SIMPLY SPECTACULAR! My special day was made absolutely perfect ONLY because of this fantastic venue and staff. My wedding planner was a complete gem, and navigated my constant requests and demands with complete professionalism and comforting humor! The reception staff anticipated all the guests' needs with smiling faces and it felt like they were friends and family by the end of the evening. I cannot express my gratitude enough... and my family and guests were bubbling with compliments the next day. A perfect evening!

The only reason they didnt get all 5's is because I went thru 3 wedding coordinators in the 14 months leading up to my wedding. They were all good they just didnt stick around.

I had my wedding reception in the largest ballroom they have. The whole ordeal started out great and I have to commend their wedding team for meeting/speaking/emailing us as often as they did.
However, what started out okay turned into a nightmare. Let's begin with the little things. My guests had to deal with broken TV's, malfunctioning AC units, cracked mirrors, and a flat-out denial that the hotel has a 20% of F&B deal with certain AAA reservations and elevators that broke twice over 3 days.
What kind of hotel has its events coordinator book a bridal suite a YEAR in advance, but on the day of, there are no suites available? What kind of hotel instead gives a bride a small "executive" suite that smells of cigarettes and has no mirror? What kind of hotel then gives a new "executive" suite with a broken lock? What kind of hotel gives the bride and her family wedding goody bags, which turn out to be from someone else's wedding? What kind of hotel promises through its manager to compensate breakfast for the bridal party the next morning, but leaves no record of this promise for the staff? What kind of hotel does not save leftover dinner from the reception that had already been paid for? What kind of hotel MISPLACES THE TOP TIER OF THE WEDDING CAKE?
