Lauren at Red Cardinal Studio is FABULOUS to work with. We hired her for our engagement and wedding photos and we are so happy we did. She worked with us to customize our photo package to meet our wedding needs. She is professional, on top of scheduling details, patient, and delivered all photos within the outlined timeline. Plus, she takes absolutely gorgeous photos. We are so happy we did engagement photos with Lauren before the wedding and highly recommend that to all engaged couples! My husband and I were a bit nervous in front of the camera at the start of our engagement shoot, but Lauren provided helpful tips to make us feel more comfortable. The engagement photo shoot better prepared us for all the wedding day photos. The hardest part about the wedding photos is narrowing down our favorites because she took so many good ones! I would definitely hire Lauren again! -

We absolutely could not have picked better photographers than Red Cardinal Studio! Lauren was outstanding from the beginning! I interviewed around 10 different photographers but I immediately knew I was going to pick Lauren after our first phone call. She was professional, thoughtful, experienced, and of course super nice. We had our engagement photos done at our venue so she could get a sense of the layout and lighting. My husband and I were very nervous but she made us feel relaxed and at ease. The photos were better than we had hoped which made me feel sure that I made the right decision. Leading up to our wedding day, Lauren worked with our planner to make sure we had all the timelines correct and accounted for different photoshoot areas and sunlight as well as making suggestions for ensuring we are as efficient with family photos as possible. Lauren also did a great job coordinating with our videographers - so much so that they barely needed to give us any extra direction or poses! Our photos came in quickly and were easily able to be shared with our family. I am obsessed with all of our pictures and can't wait to get them printed! I absolutely would recommend Lauren to anyone planning a wedding!! She is an amazing asset to have on your team!
I also want to give a shoutout to our second photographer, Gwen, who shot our rehearsal dinner, the men getting ready, and extra shots throughout the wedding. She too was professional, funny, and helped step in when things seemed to be going sideways. My husband could not say enough good things about her and her interactions with the guys and we both absolutely loved how their getting ready pictures came out. She was able to capture a bunch of great moments throughout the day and we are so thankful for her!! -

An excellent photographer was one of my highest priorities. What attracted me to Red Cardinal Studio was Lauren's use of natural light (which produces the best photos) and her soft, classic, elegant style. Photos often don't do their subjects justice, but Red Cardinal Studio captured with utmost skill how beautiful our wedding day was.
I knew from Lauren's style that I could expect gorgeous photos, but that is only part of why I'd recommend her. A photographer's organization can make or break your ability to stay on schedule. Lauren is thorough, experienced, and organized, which helped our wedding day go smoothly; she ensured logistics (e.g., shot list, timeline) were in place well ahead of time so that the wedding day felt, dare I say, restful.
Finally, your photographer is someone you spend a lot of time with on your wedding day, and frankly, you want it to be a pleasant person. Lauren is kind and absolutely wonderful to work with. She is a perfect balance of amiable and completely professional in every aspect from start to finish. I can't recommend Red Cardinal Studio enough for the expertise and joy of working with Lauren and her team. -

We haven’t gotten our wedding photos yet, but our engagement photos a my bridal portraits were incredible! Lauren and her husband put 100% into every photo they take and I highly recommend them! -

Maggie Sent on 09/09/2018I met Lauren when she photographed my brother and sister in law's wedding a few years ago, and when I started to plan my own wedding she came to mind immediately! Not only had their photos turned out beautifully, but Lauren was so kind and worked efficiently to capture their day and all of the photos and portraits the large families required. It was important to me to work with someone that I enjoyed being around and Lauren fit that bill perfectly!
Lauren and her husband David traveled to D.C. for our sunrise engagement session and also traveled to Fredericksburg, VA, for our wedding.
We couldn't be happier with how our photos turned out and we will treasure them forever! Our portraits are timeless yet still feel like us, and they captured great candids throughout the night! We opted not to do a first look, and we were still able to get all of our portraits done in about an hour thanks to Lauren's efficiency and the work we did together ahead of time mapping out the family shot lists. Lauren was very organized in our communications leading up to the wedding and was always very responsive to any questions or feedback I had. We also loved all of the detailed shots she took, because it captured all of the little things we put time and effort into when planning our wedding. We are so happy with our experience and results working withRed Cardinal Studio!! -
