I can’t say enough about how incredible Memphis Soul Revue was. My husband and I hired them for our wedding this past weekend in Nashville, and they killed it! Everyone was dancing and having a blast. They learned a song for our first dance and fulfilled my Rick James request. I loved them and would tell anyone they just HAVE to hire them for their wedding!

The DMP band played at our wedding two years ago and I can't believe I haven't written this review sooner. This band BY FAR exceeded our expectations. They had people dancing pretty much right away, which isn't always the case at weddings. The musicians were so involved with the crowd - they literally walked around to a certain extent. Given our venue, they were not on a stage. It's like they were really a part of the party which to me is why all of our guests were so into it. They also played a wide range of music genres, played all songs we requested and were very talented! I truly cannot say enough good things about the DMP band. They made our wedding reception such a blast!!! My husband and I looked at each other several times during the night to say how awesome they were.

Funky Town was the life of our wedding reception. They gave wonderful energy to our reception and they were worth every penny. My shy Dad has never danced in his life and gripes about it anytime he thinks he may be required to dance. In fact, he grumbled all weekend about dancing at the reception. Lo and behold, he danced the entire night and all our family and friends were shocked. It was a wedding reception miracle courtesy of Funky Town. They were that funky.

The Memphis Soul Review was the highlight of our event! Everyone was totally blown away with the show they put on. I had many out of town musicians as guests and all they could say was "wow!"

As an event planner in Chicago, I've had the opportunity to work with a myriad of entertainment brokers, but when it came time to do my own daughter's wedding, I immediately called Russ Madry at RAM entertainment for the strings for the ceremony and Bambu Forest, the most phenomenal band, for the reception. I've worked with Russ many times In the past, booking bands for events throughout the US, and it's always been a joy from the first phone call to the horn section hitting the last notes of the evening. I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation!

Wonderful time with funky town!! Couldn't have asked for a better band. Everyone enjoyed them and numerous people asked for their information. The band interacted with the guests plus the bride and groom throughout the night and kept everyone on their feet. Not a boring wedding band, highly recommend.

The EMP Band is fun,entertaining, personable, friendly,and pleasing to their audience. Our wedding reception was everything we wanted it to be and EMP Band had a major part in that success..i"ve heard them 3 times at wedding receptions and they were very entertaining each time. Everybody wants to know "Who is that band and where did you get them. Ram Entertainment !

What a fantastic group to work with in securing the perfect band for our event. We needed two bands and they worked very hard for us in getting just the right fit for our venue. RAM is fantastic at communicating and being very patient with us. I will use RAM again!!

RAM provided a stress free experience. All communications were immediately answered or answered within a few hours. The contract was simple and succinct. Nothing was hidden. We hired Memphis Soul Revue who superbly delivered all our requests. We requested two songs which were not on their playlist and they performed them flawlessly. We would not hesitate to contract with RAM, again.

When it came time to planning our wedding, Josh and I had few requests. We wanted all our friends and family there and we wanted a PARTY! The Soulsations definitely delivered! They knew how to get the dance floor started and how to keep it going! Within just a few days since our celebration, we have heard countless times that they are "THE BEST BAND EVER!" They played the most fabulous mix of songs, that crossed all genres and encouraged all age groups to move and groove on the dance floor! I could not have dreamed up a better band to set the stage and help us celebrate the most special day of our lives! We cannot thank them enough!!!

Memphis Soul Revue is the BEST band in the Mid-South. Their range of music appeals to all ages and any crowd. They sound AMAZING, they look AMAZING, and they know how to truly ENTERTAIN! If you want a top notch band don't hestitate when looking at MSR, they truly are the BEST and worth every penny! Furthermore, RAM is great company and always a pleasure to work with!

The Party Jammers were awesome at our wedding, and RAM Entertainment was so helpful to us throughout the entire process of choosing a band. I would most definitely recommend this band to anyone looking for a fun wedding band that plays a great mix of music!!

Dance Street Music was the BEST! We had heard them at one of my friend's weddings, and my dad (who loves to dance) booked them the day after I got engaged. If you are getting married in Memphis, I highly recommend this incredible band.

WOW! The Soulsations made our wedding. My husband and I met in college, and we actually worked at one of the best wedding venues in Charleston, South Carolina throughout college. We saw so many weddings every weekend, and we were able to see what really makes a wedding. An incredible band and amazing people make a wedding. It was clear in all the weddings we saw as servers that the band made the wedding. So when we started to budget for our wedding we did not care about anything until we found the perfect band. The Soulsations was the perfect band for us. So many family members doubted our decision to put the money on the band. However, after the wedding EVERYONE was raving about the Soulsations. I cannot tell you the number of text messages from friends asking who our band was or how amazing the reception was. The Soulsations were absolutely incredible. They KILLED IT! People could not stop dancing. My great aunt said it best - "You just couldn't stop dancing. Just when you thought a song was over, it was actually a melody and another song came on that you couldn't not dance to. I haven't had so much fun in forever." My parents actually received numerous hand written notes about how amazing the band was. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You all were incredible. When I think of my wedding, I will think of three things: my husband (of course :) ), my dress, and the band. Thank you for making the most amazing night of my life even more amazing.

I loved the DMP band. They MADE the wedding. They are my all time favorite wedding band. I have never seen so many people dance at a wedding! They really made it a wonderful party and a night I will never forget.

We had an absolute blast with the Soulsations and they made our wedding night delightful! I wish it hadn't been so muddy & hot, but... that's Mississippi! They played through the heat and made EVERYONE dance! So much fun.

The DMP Band played at our business professional society annual winter conference. They were fantastic and fired up the crowd with the first song and kept a crowd through the final set. I have been to many of these events and seen a number of different bands. The DMP Band was by far one of the best we have had. The dance floor was full and their interaction with the crowd was wonderful.

My representatives at RAM were accommodating, professional, and courteous. I feel like the band was financially reasonable and well worth the money. The band was so much fun and everyone in my small town is still talking about how fun they were! They did a good job of getting my guests involved and I had the best time! They were everything a bride wants: on time, talented, reasonably priced, and fun!

HIRE THIS BAND!!! The DMP Band made my daughter's wedding reception the biggest party we could ever have imagined. They were extremely talented, energetic, and interactive with the crowd. Their performances were fun and entertaining to everyone - young and not so young. They had EVERYONE out on the dance floor, and we wanted it to never end. Thank you, thank you, thank you. the band we had was unbelievable!!!! exactly what we wanted and even better than expected. RAM Entertainment really worked with me to help find what we wanted in our price range. After much research, I booked DMP for my fall wedding reception. Jeremy and his crew were simply AMAZING. They had everyone crammed on the dance floor. The band was incredible and literally did every single thing I asked -- every song requested, threw out Michael Jackson gloves, a birthday shout out to my aunt, everything. They were easy to work with, professional, kind -- top notch performers and a true delight to have as a part of our wedding.

Working with RAM Entertainment was efficient and very easy - I would absolutely use them again for any event or fundraiser! A+++!

Really appreciated the ability to consider some unique ideas we hadn't considered, and even though a lot of details kept changing on our end, they were flexible. The band was awesome -- the highlight of the evening. We got every penny and then some.

Russ helped us find the perfect band for our wedding reception, Dance Street Band, and we were not disappointed!! All of our guests had a great time and the dance floor was always packed. Dance Street was the key ingredient for helping us turn our reception into a great party. Everyone had huge compliments for the band. They did a wonderful job at our wedding. The music was perfect! I think what's even more great about they is his flexibility and professionalism. We asked they to play several new songs that weren't on his list and he incorporated them beautifully into our ceremony. This included incorporating a fun little number for our officiant's (who was also our friend) entrance. they even stayed a bit longer to play more songs during the cocktail hour. They made a magical day just perfect. Very professional, quick to respond, and easy to work with.

RAM was excellent to work with. Russ was very responsive and answered all of our questions and made sure to communicate to the band members exactly which songs we wanted and how we'd like them played (mainly for our first dance... there are about 100 versions of the song we chose and we had practiced to a particular version and tempo). Our band was the SoulSations and they were AMAZING. Everyone danced all night and the music was non stop. Five stars.

The band Almost Famous was awesome! EVERYONE danced and had a total blast. I received so many compliments and everyone wanted to know who they were. My single friends loved the lead singer and couldn't stop talking about how cute he was :)

By far, the most accommodating vendor anyone could ask for. The band provides such a variety of music to select from, and will play anything you request, if at all possible. My daughter's wedding reception was just perfect all because of "The SoulSations" which was the band provided through RAM Entertainment....so, so much fun, and got the crowd involved. I would highly recommend RAM Entertainment and "The SoulSations" to anyone. You just don't get any better than this vendor nor the band. THE BEST BY FAR!

We worked with RAM entertainment to book our band, Almost Famous. The band was amazing! Everyone is still talking about how great the music was. RAM did a good job helping us figure out the songs and stuff that we needed for our night. We would definitely use them again if we have another event.

We used the Party Jammers for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! Everyone has commented about how great and fun the band was. Several people asked for their info so they could use them too! The only thing is that their contract come with some very specific requests, which, if your venue is willing to work with isn't a problem, but just a little warning. Absolutely would use them again. Little pricy, but worth EVERY penny.

We were pleased with with everything about our event and the way things with things were handled. My big disappointment, and one of the main reasons I booked Memphis Soul Review, was because of 3 songs that were on their play list, "Be Young, Be Foolish, But Be Happy", "With This Ring", and "Hey, Hey Baby". These three songs were favorite party songs when I was a student at Ole Miss in the 70's, and I was thrilled to see them on their list! Only, when I asked the lead singer about performing them, I was told that they didn't know any of them. I have to admit that I was quite disappointed, because it was my understanding that they could do everything on their list.
On a POSITIVE note, the band put on a GREAT show, were great fun, and we would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them!

I had a wonderful experience with RAM. Although booking a great band for a wedding or other event is not always inexpensive, they provided superior service, and we were very pleased with the band and how the night turned out. RAM gave us simple directions and made the process working with the band as easy as possible.

We booked the SoulSations for our wedding reception and it was easily one of the best decision of my life. The entire room was dancing and I highly recommend booking your band through RAM entertainment. They provided exactly what we needed!

Russ and Funky Town and everybody at RAM were great for us leading up to the weekend and certainly on the day. The band killed it during the reception. They rolled with it well when any number of wackos from my family took to the stage over the course of the evening. Great times all around. Only reservation - we all wish there was an option for them to play all the way through the party, or take just one break, rather than chop it up the way they had to.

Memphis Soul Revue was incredible. We were concerned when the lead singer changed after we had booked the group but were more than pleasantly surprised by his replacement, who was awesome. They could NOT have done a better job. A+ performance!

My only criticism would be with the song selection process. The band learned the song for our first dance, which we really appreciated. They also played the song we requested for the mother/son dance. However, we requested a number of other songs on the pre-wedding questionaire, none of which were played. Regardless, we LOVED their choices and the evening was perfect, but it seems a bit disingenuous to ask for song requests and then not really play any of them. That said, we really have no complaints! Just some food for thought...

My guests and I were thrilled with our reception band! It was definitely the most costly item for our wedding, but worth it for the high quality. I appreciated being in frequent contact with RAM, so I always felt I knew what was going on. Very helpful for a bride!

The SoulSations are an excellent band. We had people raving about them all night, telling us that they were the best band they had ever heard (roughly half our guests were from Chicago/Detroit). My only disappointment was that they did not play the songs we requested on our song request sheet. My husband and I have a "go-to" song that we love that was requested and it was not played. There was also some trouble with the ipod during their breaks. Other than those 2 things, an extremely talented group of people who will certainly impress your guests.

The band was great and made the party very fun. The issues we had were...
1. They were late...nearly gave my mom a heart attack because they weren't there when the ceremony was about to start. We were trying to call local acts to find someone to cover. It was really bad. We should not have had to worry about that right before the wedding
2. Their breaks were WAY TOO LONG! Each time they took a break, it was over 30 minutes and lots of guests left. We had to call them back because people wanted to be there for the cake cutting and it took forever for them to come back.
3. They were too loud. The room had good acoustics and lots of guests had to sit outside the room to talk.
4. They were really picky about their food.
Overall, though, people thought they had great voices, and they kept everyone dancing and having fun!

RAM Entertainment provided exactly what I was looking for! My correspondence with Russ made finding and booking the band a breeze; And for such a wide audience, RAM Entertainment made me comfortable in my band decision. The band worked with me with the program. We had a couple of hiccups: they didn't know some of the words, their break was much much longer than I anticipated, and the singers weren't hitting some notes--but no one cared! Everyone was having such a great time! I highly recommend RAM entertainment for your benefit party!

We booked our band through Russ Madry at RAM entertainment. We used them because a friend recommended the band the Midnight Movers, who are located in Washington DC but are represented by RAM in TN. Russ was very easy to work with and efficient. However, there was a disconnect between the band and Russ. Russ finally just gave us the contact information for the band to contact directly.

The band was very talented and a lot of fun. They are not a stereotypical wedding band, but rather a true Motown group. However, the band lacked the polish of other bands that seamlessly transition through the evening . The Midnight Movers took breaks at akward times in the evening and stopped in between songs to adjust instruments, etc. I would still recommend the band but would suggest carefully reviewing these issues with them.

Overall this was a great band to have at the wedding. I just had a few qualms that any bride should be ready for.
1. They won't play any country music. My husband and I wanted to have 2 songs that were country, the first dance and the father daughter dance. They refused to perform these songs. They would however play a recording of it over their system. Except, during the father daughter dance it kept cutting out.
2. I spent about an hour marking out of their extensive play list what I wanted. I don't even think they read the list. I told them I LOVED Beyonce and some of the newer music. I had to request about an hour and a half in to play Beyonce, which they did the cliche All the Single Ladies. And then they basically played the same sets I saw on their online videos. Everyone was entertained and had a blast but it wasn't what I had asked for.
I know working with new people, you will always have something to complain about, but I wish I wouldn't have marked so many different songs and only selected just a few so they knew what I for sure wanted to hear.
If you can afford the extra horn players, I definitely would!

I had requested songs from the band to play at my wedding, and those songs were approved months before the event, but two weeks before the wedding I was told the band could not play them anymore. I had to go back and show them my previous emails where they said they could and the learned the songs before the wedding, but this is a stress a bride and groom should not have two weeks before their wedding. Besides that, the band was great and so was RAM entertainment.

We shouldn't be fighting with our vendors on our wedding day

The Party Jammers are fun and talented, but they are not the same performers as the "hype video" they put on Youtube. In addition, the band did not play for the amount of time we had paid in advance for. This was an outright breach of contract, and it was handled unprofessionally when we mentioned it to the band coordinator. We paid a small fortune for the band, honored every portion of the contract on our end, and should have been able to enjoy our night without fighting with the band coordinator.
