  Finding an officiant was the part of the wedding process my husband and I were the most concerned about because we are of different faiths and are not particularly religious. Our venue suggested we use Rabbi Block and I feel so fortunate they did. When I called him and explained I was Greek Orthodox and my fiance was Catholic he immediately reassured me by telling me how many interfaith (and not Jewish) weddings he has performed. He was such a calming force and fit with our personalities completely. The best part of working with Rabbi Block is the amount of customization available to you. He provided us a wealth of material on other ceremonies he had officiated so that we were able to design a ceremony unlike any other! Our guests continuously came up to us following the ceremony and told us how wonderful they thought he was and we couldn't agree more!

  Reform Jewish Ceremony - LOVE THIS GUY!

  Rabbi Block is a damn delight. His zest for life really shines through in everything he does. We had a Jewish ceremony with many non-Jewish guests; Rabbi Block did an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome and included. We got so many compliments regarding the ceremony. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

  Amazing Rabbi and Forever Friend!

  Rabbi Kenneth Block was one of the most amazing people I've had the pleasure to meet. He provided our premarital counseling and was able to do weekly conversion classes for a full year. My husband and I got to know Rabbi Block very well over the year! However, even if you don't have weekly calls with Rabbi Block you'll still feel incredibly comfortable with him! He saves every single wedding he officiates so that you have a huge amount of samples to guide you while formulating your script. He guides you through the process and is incredibly accessible throughout. He was so witty, personable, and loving during the ceremony. We consider him a wonderful, lifelong friend!

  Rabbi Block was a great choice as the officiant for our wedding. I have always known that I wanted a Jewish wedding, but was worried about finding a rabbi who would be willing to marry an interfaith couple. Not only did Rabbi Block marry us, but he also helped us through the ceremony-writing process, giving us helpful information and inspiration along the way.

  My husband and I loved working with Rabbi Block! He helped us to create a ceremony that was really meaningful and recommended a few additional aspects to the ceremony that our guests absolutely loved. He also has a great personality and officiating style- our parents and our guests raved about him afterwards. Highly recommend Rabbi Block!

  Rabbi Block was a terrific find! I was worried about finding someone to perform an interfaith marriage, and have a ceremony that fulfilled the Jewish traditions but was relatable to our non-Jewish guests. Rabbi Block worked with us to plan the perfect ceremony and was fully open to any customization we wanted. I also inquired about some pre-maritial counselling and he met with us to do some counselling as we planned the service. Our guests absolutely loved the ceremony. He interjected jokes throughout the ceremony that kept our guests laughing and engaged and kept us relaxed and having fun.   Rabbi Block provides top-notch quality service! He was very generous and flexible with our busy schedules. We had a great time getting to know him, and we are so grateful for his service to officiate our marriage.   My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Rabbi Block. My husband is a Hindu and I come from a Jewish background and Rabbi Block helped us create a ceremony that pulled from both traditions. He was fun, light-hearted and provided clear explanations of the rituals that we included in our ceremony. He provided us with information and resources so that we didn't need to figure out everything from scratch, which was incredibly helpful. The first thing people say to me when they mention our wedding was how much they appreciated the ceremony and how grateful they were to feel they really understand why we were doing what we were doing. Rabbi Block was easy and wonderful to work with, practical, reasonable, and warm-hearted. One of the reasons he is so great is because it is very clear how much performing the ceremony means to him. It can be challenging to negotiate an interfaith ceremony and we are so happy we found him. I give him my highest recommendation.

  We loved working with Rabbi Block. We wanted to make our ceremony unique and reflective of us as a couple. Rabbi Block encouraged us to do whatever we felt was right and helped guide us when we had questions. For example, I knew I wanted to incorporate a family Bible but didn't know how. He had the exact words to help. He was a pleasure to work with. Our ceremony was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. It was even pretty funny too. I would recommend Rabbi Block to anyone!

  There just aren't anything by glowing compliments to give Rabbi Block. Our wedding venue listed Rabbi Block as a preferred vendor. It took one, 30 minute meeting 17 months out from our wedding date to know that Rabbi Block was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony. From the very start, he did nothing but encourage and support us -- making sure we were making decisions that would make us happy as a couple and make the ceremony about my husband and me and our relationship together. When we finally found our wonderful Catholic officiant, Rabbi Block came for coffee with our priest and we spent an hour chatting and getting to know everyone. My husband and I could feel that it was so important to him that the ceremony feel natural, special and happy!
  
  I cannot tell you how much FUN we and all of our guests had during our wedding ceremony. His charm, excitement and positivity were felt by everyone. Rabbi Block explained the ketubah with such enthusiasm that even my side of the family was leaning up from their chairs to watch one of our groomsmen show it off right in middle of the ceremony.

  We are an interfaith couple (I was raised Catholic, my husband Jewish) but neither of us are currently particularly practicing. Rabbi Block was willing to spend time speaking with us extensively during the planning and offered names of co-officiants if we were interested. He listened to all our questions, and had a ton of suggestions for the ceremony. He offered pre marital counseling if we wanted it. We spoke with him, did a few drafts and then met him for the first time the weekend of the wedding. He came to our rehearsal (apparently something Rabbis don't do), helped us with the organization of the space, processional, etc. and got there very early the day of and basically hung out with the family during pictures. So, by the time we had the ceremony, everyone was really at ease. He was really a good calming influence on the day overall and really reminded us why we were there when he sat us down for the ketubah signing - he had everyone in the family go around the table and give advice, etc. We had a videographer and that unexpected part of the day I think will be the most memorable in the years to come. We would definitely recommend him!

  I was having trouble finding someone to marry us because my husband is not Jewish so I was very relieved to find Rabbi Block. However, I had no idea how great he would be and that he would make our wedding so special. He was funny and laid back but also spoke well and beautifully. Our wedding wouldn't of been the same without him and we were so lucky to have him marry us.

  My husband and I had a similar experience as with many others in that the temple my family belongs to would not marry us. As this is a Reform Synagogue the cantor can marry interfaith couples but while they say they do, after the initial meeting this was not the case. Naturally as this was the first place we looked it was a huge disappointment as we felt very pushed away. After finding Rabbi Block it was a breath of fresh air which we definitely needed to put the wind back in our sails.
  
  Rabbi Block was so personal it felt like we have known him for years. He has a warmth about him that makes you feel instantly comfortable. Rabbi Block opened up so many resources for us which helped us create the perfect personalized ceremony, interfaith ketubah as well as program. As it got closer to our wedding day Rabbi Block reviewed our ceremony and made some suggestions on how to engage the guests which was the perfect addition and honestly left our guest with a lasting impression. In other couples reviews, I’ve read about how guests would approach them afterwards and let them know how much they enjoyed the ceremony. Wouldn’t you know this happen to us as well! I was so humbled that our guests truly enjoyed the ceremony and that it touched them enough to approach us to tell us how much they enjoyed it and how they just LOVED Rabbi Block. I would highly, highly recommend Rabbi Block.

  People are still talking about what a great ceremony we had! I'm so glad we had Rabbi Block at our wedding. He has a great sense of humor (which worked for us as a low key couple) and definitely made the ceremony light. It was exactly what we wanted. He was beyond flexible and helped us create an interfaith ceremony that reflected our traditions as well as who we are as a couple.

  Rabbi Block was great. He really made our ceremony unique and our own. He met with us in person as well as corresponding via email- which made the process much easier.
  
  He was funny and took traditional aspects and helped us make them more modern. He came to our rehearsal (which is rare for a Rabbi) and really took the nerves out of the whole situation. Our guests found our ceremony (especially Rabbi Block) lighthearted and heartfelt - exactly what we wanted

  Rabbi Kenneth Block was AMAZING! My husband and I couldn't have been happier with any other officiant! I am Jewish and my husband does not associate with any religion. Rabbi Block had no problem marrying an interfaith couple or incorporating as much or as little Jewish customs as we wanted. Prior to meeting with Rabbi Block we met with several other officiants who said that they did not feel comfortable performing our ceremony. Rabbi Block met with us one time in person and then was very proactive in responding to our phone calls and emails. He allowed us to create our own ceremony that included several Jewish customs (chuppah, breaking of the glass, and the seven wedding blessings) along with his own improvised commentary and humor. He performed the perfect ceremony and we couldn't have asked for anything better. We would highly recommend Rabbi Block needing a great officiant who is willing to perform any type of wedding ceremony desired.

  Our challenge - a same gender, mixed faith wedding, as a co-officiant, in a church, on a Saturday, black-tie, before sundown.
  Solution - Rabbi Block.
  He was on message in our tightly scripted ceremony. He worked with our many requests. While we didn't start by speaking with him - he was able to bring the Jewish authority in the way we needed it. He had the Rabbi-shtick down in a way that pleased the Tribe and was endearing to all. I'm glad we found him.

  Rabbi Block is awesome! My husband is Jewish and I am Christian (Methodist) so we needed a rabbi that would co-officiate an interfaith marriage. I originally didn't realize this was going to be such a hard task, but I was so lucky to one day stumble upon Rabbi Block's website. He was very responsive and is very email savvy (which is something that I found to be lacking with the pastor we had) which made my life much easier. He gave my husband and I a CD full of ceremonies he had done in the past to use as references for creating our own ceremony. This worked out beautifully. We went through the CD, picked parts of other couples ceremonies we liked and then narrowed those down to what we wanted for ourselves. Rabbi Block helped us create a beautiful ceremony that we are still getting compliments on. Rabbi Block worked very well with the Pastor from my church and they did a wonderful job at the ceremony. Although Rabbi Block seems pricey, he was reasonably priced compared to some of the other rabbi's I spoke with that would preform an interfaith wedding with another officiant--without any strings attached. We are very happy that we came across Rabbi Block's website and that he was able to co-officiate our wedding for us. I would definitely recommend him to others seeking an easy-going fun rabbi to officiate an interfaith marriage or co-officiate an interfaith marriage.

He has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and a part of the occasion without being obvious or too serious about it. He was just wonderful.
  
  From the moment I spoke with Rabbi Block I knew that this was going to be an easy process. I spoke with other Rabbis who asked for less to preform my ceremony, but Rabbi Block was the friendliest and gave me no pressure at all. After I spoke to him for the first time he sent me a CD in the mail that gave me tons, and I mean TONS of sample ceremonies, readings, translations, and information to create a ceremony that my husband and I felt was perfect for us. We met with him only once--due to our insane schedules, not Rabbi Blocks--but that was enough to make us feel confident and comfortable. We picked and chose pieces from the other ceremonies he had officiated in the past and loved the combination of traditions. He was adamant about us making the ceremony whatever WE wanted, not what he wanted.
  
  Rabbi Block arrived early for both my Friday night rehearsal and Saturday evening ceremony. He was funny, caring, quick-witted and sincere throughout our entire ceremony. We felt comfortable and happy knowing that our diverse group of guests felt comfortable and happy.
  
  Thank you Rabbi Block for making our wedding ceremony the highlight of the weekend, as it should be!

  I cannot possibly say enough good things about Rabbi Block. He lets you plan exactly what you want for the wedding, and is incredibly helpful in the process. He put our guests at ease, and was a delight to work with. Like most of the weddings he does, ours was an interfaith wedding, and the way he weaved our faiths together was amazing. We were able to have a ceremony that didn't tiptoe around our differences, and allowed us to express the most important parts of each of our weddings, while keeping our families happy and comfortable, not an easy task when our families included very religious Jews and evangelical Christians. So many compliments I received at the wedding were of the Rabbi. If you're having a non-traditional wedding, I could not recommend Rabbi Block strongly enough.

  I found Rabbi Block on wedding wire so I am very happy to write a review for him. My husband and I are two different faiths (Christian and Jewish) and Rabbi Block was able to give us a fantastic ceremony that incorporated both faiths without alienating any of our guests. We were thrilled.
  
  Due to some crazy timing before the wedding, my (now) husband and I were still working on the ceremony on the Wednesday before our Sunday ceremony. Rabbi Block was calm and helpful, giving us guidance, but allowing us to work out the pieces of the ceremony ourselves. This was a little stressful for my husband, but I found the freedom, well freeing. He reminded us that the ceremony was what we wanted it to be and not to ask permission for certain readings, but to feel confident in our choices. This was wonderful. We initially sent Rabbi Block a ceremony that was too short and he gave us a bunch of suggestions and ideas. We ended up with something that reflected both of our faiths and our views on marriage.
  
  On the day of the wedding Rabbi Block arrived early and was very helpful and calming. He read the ceremony as we had written it, but also added in some lightness that made the ceremony and the day better. We told him we wanted something somewhat informal and fun and he had us all laughing. His calm presence and demeanor allowed us to take in the moment without worrying about an officiant who would make the ceremony about them or push any agenda. Due to the wind, our chuppa had a mind of its own. Rabbi Block worked with my brother-in-law to have the chuppa brought in during the ceremony, rather than have it free standing and it was beautiful.
  
  People were approaching us after the ceremony saying how they loved Rabbi Block, how lovely the ceremony was and that it really reflected our personalities. Exactly what we wanted. Rabbi Block made it happen. I would highly recommend him and his services.

  WOW! We were lucky enough to have a wedding with all A list vendors and support but Rabbi Block is the one we and everyone at our wedding can't stop talking about. Rabbi Block was so very good to work with as we tried to chart our path in an interfaith wedding and marriage, we figured we hired a "rent a Rabbi" but we got oh so very much more. The ceremony was very much a reflection of who we are, our views on the world and our celebration of what makes us unique, it was Jewish enough for me to feel like I had a Jewish wedding and not so religious or stiff that my husband felt out of place as a Christian. the ceremony was carefully explained by Rabbi Block as he went along so no one in the room felt left out or confused but he did it in a warm light hearted way that left folks teary eyed and full of smiles. But this was how Rabbi Block did everything with us in our meetings and phone calls before the big day, if we did not understand something or had a road block he in true Rabbi form guided us to think on our own but held our hands in the rough parts.
  
  Oh yes the wonderful CD he gives couples with ceremonies and ideas proved to be invaluable as we thought about what we wanted to happen.
