Loved this venue for my wedding!! Amanda, the day of coordinator was wonderful! I really hope they don't change the ceremony site too much with their plans this summer. The mountain backdrop with the trees just made my day absolutely perfect!! -

I cannot say enough about this venue! The property and views are gorgeous and enough to make your decision. But, the perks included in the packages are priceless. The lodge is so pretty with minimal decorations and great mountain views. The decor closet, stocked with tons of candle holders, easel, backdrop props, grass picture wall, etc., is included in the rental price. The staff quickly and seamlessly flips any rooms needed that may serve a dual purpose. And the coordinator, Stacy, is OUT OF THIS WORLD and is also included in the rental price. Stacy is quick to respond to questions and her coordination the day of the wedding is impeccable. She generally anticipated any questions we had and it is obvious she has tons of experience in coordinating weddings. My daughter got married here this past weekend. The plan was for her to get married outside on the hilltop but mother nature had different plans. I can tell you, the alternate plan of getting married in the lodge where the reception would later be was just as amazing as if we were able to do it outside. Flipping the room was flawless! I HIGHLY recommend this venue! -

We chose R-Ranch in the Mountains for many reasons - it's ready to go - already set up for beautiful weddings. They had a huge decor closet full of gear you can use. The bridal suite and the groom's suite were huge and well prepared. They offered many areas for the ceremony, and the rain plan was so simple! The best part was the venue coordinator, Stacy, who communicated well, has a lot of experience, and knows how to get things done! She is a professional who takes care of everyone! -

I could write an essay on how I cannot recommend this venue and their coordinator enough! Stacey was the most amazing coordinator who truly made our day so perfect. She was so responsive and flexible with any request we had and made every detail perfect for us. I will never stop complimenting her!
The venue itself is more beautiful than words can describe. Though not much decor was needed, there was more than enough on site for us to use thanks to previous couples. Being able to access the venue the day before to set up any details we planned outside of the R-Ranch staff setting up our chairs, linens and tables was so helpful and not something you are able to find in many wedding venues. If you have your wedding or rehearsal here, you won’t have any regrets and will likely leave a similar glowing review.
As a bonus, there are even very affordable places to stay on site! -

Can't give this place enough stars! All the way up until the day of the wedding everything was a breeze. Stacy, the assigned wedding coordinator is just beyond fabulous! She's so attentive, on top of her game, and is always there for any questions. It rained on my wedding day & Stacy handled it like a pro and made everything so easy! I can't recommend this place more! -

If you want to have a beautiful, simple, cost friendly, and elegant mountain wedding, you MUST book at R-Ranch! My husband and I fell in love with this gorgeous venue upon first glance because the view says it all. The reception room is the perfect size for any wedding but especially if you want a more intimate and personal feel. We had about 90 guests and it was perfect! Stacy is absolutely incredible in every way. She is on top of everything with vendors & so pleasant to work with. She made sure my husband and I had everything we needed and more on our wedding day! She was serving everyone anywhere she could whether it was getting drinks for guests, checking on family members, serving food, everything!! Not to mention, they have a whole room of decor and accessories that you can use if you need it which is a great way to save money and not buy all your own decor. I would 100% recommend R-Ranch if you want an outdoorsy but still elegant and beautiful venue. -

Very professional and helpful team of coordinators. Beautiful property, and affordable! I loved that we were able to use any of the decorations they had, and that the price of the venue also comes with a wedding coordinator you can meet with a month before the wedding.
Stacy was our coordinator and she was wonderful! She was so helpful when it came to logistics of the ceremony and finalizing what we wanted our decor to look like. She helped us figure all of that out, and she was so fast responding as well when we needed her or had questions about decor. They also give you a list of recommended vendors when you secure your spot with them which was sooo helpful for finding a caterer! Overall I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a North Georgia wedding in a heartbeat. It’s hard to find a place where you feel like the staff really cares about your wedding and wants you to have a great day, and doesn’t just care about the money. Thank you, R-Ranch, and thank you Stacy!! -

Best wedding venue imaginable
Stacy was beyond kind, helpful, encouraging, professional, and went above and beyond to help us have the best wedding possible! Everyone loved the venue so much, and the views of course, and Stacy helped me have such an stress-free wedding day that I will never forget. This venue was better than anything I could have asked or imagined, and I would highly recommend it if you love a good view and a large, elegant space! -

Let me tell you all right now, if you're looking for a mountain wedding NOT at a vineyard (because I swear, they're the only options for some reason) R-Ranch is the place for you!! I cannot begin to explain how happy my husband and I are that we found this hidden gem of a venue.
If you're looking for elegance in the midst of simplicity for your wedding, this is the venue for you and your soon-to-be spouse! Yes, it's called R-Ranch, but the Lodge and outside ceremony space is anything BUT that. On top of being ample space for our 105 guests and just simply GORGEOUS on its own, the thing that sold us wasn't just the price (we got married on a Saturday in January), it is their wedding coordinators!
Both are wonderful, but let me tell you something, Stacy Chapman is literally the reason we didn't even think twice about handing over the deposit. Not only did she get married there herself 10 years ago, she's worked with R-Ranch for all those years since, and she knows her role, the space, and what you need/don't need.
Stacy is the perfect blend of fun and no-nonsense that we both needed, but mostly myself, to fully enjoy our wedding day. She took care of us throughout the entire process, and as someone who is an Enneagram 1 with anxiety and control issues, I can fully say that the only anxiety I felt was the 30 minutes before our first look and that was because I couldn't wait to see him!
Thank you to R-Ranch and Stacy for being absolutely amazing and for making a day that everyone said would be super stressful, wonderfully flawless and as peaceful as your wedding day can be!!! -

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Stacy! We were both very laid back planners and so there were a lot of details we did not even think about as our day was approaching. At our 30 day meeting, Stacy walked us through everything we needed to know and helped guide us to make the best decisions for ourselves. On the wedding weekend, she helped everything run so smoothly that when I would go to mention something I had forgotten, she had already taken care of it. We seriously talked all night and even bring it up as we look back at pictures and videos that we would not have had as seamless of an experience if it were not for her. We are so happy with our decision to go with R Ranch and a majority of that has to do with her! -

Absolutely perfect!
The R Ranch was absolutely breathtaking! We went to visit when we were trying to pick a venue and we fell in love immediately. Every time we came to visit the ranch leading up to our wedding day, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our special day was amazing. The R Ranch views and lodge are so beautiful. All of the staff is so good at what they do and so extremely helpful. Thank you to the r ranch for letting us have our wedding at your beautiful venue! -

Elena Sent on 10/01/2017Long before the engagement, my husband & I knew we would get married at the R-Ranch—it’s our happy place. Here’s just a few reasons why our R-Ranch wedding was perfect:
1. It’s already beautiful! From the hillside, to the lakes, to the horse pastures, to the national forest—You can’t beat the natural beauty of the R-Ranch. The lodge is gorgeous as well. It has floor to ceiling windows with a great view of the mountains. On top of that, there’s loads of white icicle lights draped from the ceiling. You could do zero decorating to R-Ranch lodge & it would still be a beautiful wedding venue. The setting made for incredible photos & I have received countless messages from people on Facebook asking, “Where did you get married?!”.
2. Stress free coordination: I was nervous about not having a wedding coordinator, but it wasn’t necessary at all with Denise, the R-Ranch facilities/events coordinator. This isn’t her first rodeo & she was there the whole weekend to help with all of our setup & breakdown needs. We told her what we envisioned with the layout, connected her with our caterer, and she made it happen from there. Every thing was exactly where it needed to be. All we had to do was decorate, and she helped our family with that too. There's also a supply closet full of decorations that we were free to use (e.g., candle holders, burlap table runners, vases). I was able to drop off all our décor days before the wedding and we had until Sunday night to get everything out. Such a relief!
3. Price: My husband's family are R-Ranch members, so we certainly appreciated the member discounted rate… especially because our wedding day was a “wedding weekend” (rehearsal dinner, wedding, & Sunday brunch). However, the non-member wedding packages are quite reasonably priced.
4. Guests can stay onsite: If you're guests are into "glamping" (glamorous camping), it's a perfect venue for a weekend getaway! It's like summer camp--nightly campfires & no-one has to drive! -

Karla Sent on 04/04/2012I knew I wanted to have a fall wedding in the Dahlonega mountains. My fiance and I toured many different locations including several beautiful wineries, but as soon as I walked into the R-Ranch, I knew I had found my dream location. It is such a picturesque location, and Wendy Wood was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had great flexibility there, which was important to me. I didn't have to use a specific caterer or DJ, and I was also able to purchase my own wine and beer. We got married on the hillside in a beautiful afternoon ceremony. The view was breathtaking. We held the reception inside at the Lodge and it was the perfect size for our crowd of about 150. The best thing about the Lodge is that it hardly needs any decoration as it's perfect all by itself. It also has one of the largest dance floors I saw in Dahlonega. I can't imagine my wedding anywhere else but the R-Ranch. And be sure to enlist Wendy for day-of coordination. She was INVALUABLE!! -

She and I contacted Wendy Wood who coordinates the wedding and we met with her within a couple days at our convenience. I have to say I was extremely pleased with the service Wendy provided us. She was always prompt in returning my calls and very flexible, making arrangements to have the site available to us for hours well beyond normal business time. The wedding was spectacular! The ceremony was held at 6 PM on the hillside with the sun off to the side and out of everyone's eyes. The hills surrounded us and were filled with several shades of green. The reception hall in the lodge is surrounded by tall windows that looked out onto the mountains and we were given a view of an exquisite sunset! I want to commend Wendy and her staff on their exemplary job! Well done!! -

Grace Sent on 02/04/2011They say every little girl dreams of her wedding day and I was no exception.The part I did not dream about was how fantastic Wendy and her crew at the R-Ranch would be in helping our special day come off without a hitch!
The price was awesome - which made my parents happy. The Lodge stunningly beautiful, and the places for photos were above & beyond any I had seen elsewhere! Almost makes me want to get married all over again :)
I can not say enough about our all-around wonderful experience at the Ranch and I am looking forward to being a MOH at a wedding there in April 2011. -

Stacy made sure she communicated with us every step of the way. She tried to accommodate everything we asked for and she was a hi-energy wonder always on top of everything. Beautiful Venue
My husband and I recently got married at the R Ranch. We couldn’t of asked for a more perfect day! The floors have been redone and look amazing, leaving a lot of dance floor space. The horse carriage entrance and exit was awesome! Definitely recommend the lodge! -

Amy Sent on 06/15/2012The R Ranch is such a beautiful place. The staff were very helpful, but the response time for calls/emails could have been quicker. Also, a bride should never be told "I can't do this anymore" by staff...this made me very worried as this was on my wedding day! I wish they had more options for caterers due to the large fee you must pay to bring in an outside caterer. Overall, I had a wonderful wedding day! Thank you!
