Quail Ranch in Simi Valley California is amazing! The grounds are lush with greenery, shade trees, and flowers. Every square inch is impeccably groomed, and the Spanish Revival architecture of the home, combined with the landscaping details, fountains, and surrounding avocado groves and citrus trees, provide unending photo opportunities for the bridal party and guests. Quail Ranch is perched high on a hill with a “golden hour” photo setting unmatched anywhere. The guests at my daughter’s wedding were raving about the food and bar service provided by their exclusive caterer, Command Performance, and couldn’t stop talking about the gorgeous surroundings. By the time the evening lights came into play, guests were calling it a fairytale setting, magical, and wishing they never had to leave! Joanne and her staff are professional and kind, making each person feel like a truly welcome, special guest. Another real bonus choosing Quail Ranch is its privacy. Not only is it secluded, but they only host one event per day, so the entire venue is yours alone. You will find tons of space to move from one area to the next: A unique ceremony space with a grand staircase (and a refreshment area with pre-ceremony iced tea, water, and lemonade from their own lemon trees!), an expansive lawn for cocktail hour, and a charming reception area behind the house with room for dancing. Our guests also spilled onto the brick circular drive, accentuated by an enormous shade tree draped in lights, where we stationed a gelato cart and some fun outdoor seating. I honestly can’t imagine hosting a wedding and reception anywhere else!

Quail Ranch is truly magical! The property is absolutely stunning, every spot feels so special and picture-perfect. Our wedding day was seamless thanks to the amazing team who handled every detail and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was. The team also recommended the best vendors, and we truly believe we had the dream team! Everything turned out even better than we could have imagined. We only wish we could do it all over again! If you want a breathtaking venue with wonderful staff, Quail Ranch is the place!

Where do we even begin? We truly can’t thank Joanne, Michael, Samantha, and the entire team at Quail Ranch enough for giving us the most incredible wedding day. From the start, we knew the venue was beautiful—that’s why we chose it—but the experience went far beyond what we imagined.
The owners of Quail Ranch, the in-house planning team, and the rest of the staff involved at QR made our whole wedding planning process feel so easy and stress-free. Even in the days leading up to the wedding, we felt calm and taken care of. Everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and warmth that we were able to focus entirely on each other and the joy of the moment.
The venue itself was absolutely breathtaking. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how gorgeous Quail Ranch is—many said it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever attended.
Every detail was thoughtful and intentional, and it showed. Our guests felt welcomed and cared for, which was incredibly important to us. The grounds were immaculate, the coordination was flawless, and the entire day felt like a dream.
If you’re considering this venue—run, don’t walk. It was the best decision we made in planning our wedding, and Quail Ranch (and its amazing team) will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Joanne, Michael, Samantha and all involved! -

I am writing to express our sincere appreciation for the venue, staff, and service you provided. The venue was so beautiful, and the staff was superb and exceptional. We have visited many places before deciding to go with Quail Ranch, and I am glad that we did. Your recommendations of Valet Service, Isabel with Floral, and the Security Team are all fantastic.
Michael and Samatha are an absolute JEM!! Their dedication and professionalism are uncanny. From the very beginning, they have made what is a stressful process seamless. The event was executed in a very organized manner, and it was clear that they take pride in what they do, which is evident in their actions. I don't give many reviews, but this is one that I must make an exception for. They are simply amazing.
Thank you for making it special. It will be forever etched in our memories. -

My Husband and I fell in love with Quail Ranch the second we saw it. It feels as if you are transported to a different world. Surrounded in gorgeous flowers, fountains, native plants, fruits etc. The coordination team at Quail Ranch is top nouch and made this process so EASY for a new bride. I can’t say enough good things about this place. -

Quail Ranch is such a hidden gem! You would never assume that a little driveway off a main road in Simi Valley would lead to this beautiful venue. We held our wedding here in May and got so many compliments from guests on how perfect the venue was. We liked how there was separate areas for each event (ceremony, cocktail, reception) within Quail Ranch, and the locations of each allow for a seamless flow of the night. The owners are extremely welcoming, organized, and have wonderful relations with their preferred vendors. Great how they offer in-house rentals and planning services as well. It is on the pricier side for a venue but was worth it to us, especially since it felt unique from the other venues in the area. We toured upwards of 10 other places in the surrounding area. Note that there is valet and security requirements so factor that into your planning. Definitely recommend if it's in your budget! -

Quail Ranch is an absolute dream wedding venue. On top of a hill nestled in orchards of fresh fruit, there are 3 separate areas to take advantage of - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception - so at each part of the day your guests are surprised with yet another gorgeous area surrounded by nature. The Spanish style house is a gorgeous backdrop, enormous trees are everywhere, great photo ops, etc. One of the things that makes Quail Ranch stand out is it is not only is it the most gorgeous, private property, but Joanne, the owner, is the most detailed oriented vendor owner you'll meet. She has thought about every single detail of the flow of a wedding, from where the caterers should line up to provide the first drinks to guest to the angle of the stairs for the grand entrance and everything in between. I didn't think we would find someone who puts this much care into the details, but Joanne proved me wrong!
If you have the opportunity to have your wedding here, I highly recommend it. It's stunning in every way! -

My husband and I got married August 20th of 2022 and Joanne/her team could not have been more amazing or helpful! Though there are rules, they aren't impeding and are there to make the grounds safer and more enjoyable.
All three separate spaces for the day - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are incredibly special and beautiful. We are still getting compliments several times a week on choosing such a beautiful space.
There is a reason this venue is becoming more popular!! -

Quail Ranch is one of my favorite venues in the Simi Valley! So many great spots for photos and the ceremony spot is spacious and beautiful! I photographed a wedding there recently and the staff+ vendors involved made the whole day run so smoothly! -

Amazing Fall Wedding
We had our wedding here in November 2019 and could not have been happier with the outcome. The venue was beautiful, well run, accessible for everyone, and well located for large groups of out of town family. Joanne, the owner, was also extremely accommodating for tours, pre-wedding practices, and any other logistical needs we had. She made the planning process so easy and stress free. Joanne was prepared for anything, and was dedicated to making sure whatever the outcome, we could get the wedding we hoped for.
Command catering is typically the only caterer available, but they blew everyone away with their food and service. Thank you to everyone at Quail Ranch for making our day so memorable and successful.

California Outdoor Dream Venue
Thinking back at our wedding at Quail Ranch, it all seems like a real life fairy tale!! It was a dream come true venue for us. We looked at so many venues in Southern California and knew we wanted to be married outdoors in a classic California style "ranch" setting. Our wedding day turned out better than we could have ever dreamed! Quail Ranch checked off so many of our boxes: nature, polished, upscale, secluded and private. It was so well kept that it minimized our floral and décor budget. This was especially true in the Spring but having first visited the venue in the Fall/Winter, it was always immaculately kept. We looked at so many venues during our wedding planning but really nothing compared to Quail Ranch and the beautiful grounds. For us, unless we wanted to spend twice as much at a hotel in Santa Barbara, nothing else came even remotely close to how much we loved the feeling at Quail. We also each loved the separate (and plush) Bride & Groom Suites. The owners were very warm, welcoming and professional. Joanne was always readily available to be of help along the way with questions and requests. One thing to consider is that this is somebody's home and it is an operational ranch/orchard, which felt extra special for us and our guests! While sure there were some strict requirements in order to rent the venue, we would gladly do it all over again and understand how all those things all made a difference. We are so happy that we chose Quail and would recommend it in a heart beat! -

The day itself was so smooth and everyone had a wonderful time. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful the venue was!

Emily Sent on 04/11/2018Quail Ranch was a dream venue! Not only is the place stunning, but Joanne (the owner) treated us like family. Getting married in LA is expensive and Quail was honestly worth every penny. They made everything so easy — having a single caterer really helped cut back on my stress of looking and having to make even more appointments — and were very responsive, especially in a crisis (it almost rained). And by the way, we got so many compliments on Command Performance Catering, so don't be afraid to go with the recommendation.
The venue itself is amazing! I really wanted something unique and having three different areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was perfect. It was so fun to see the pictures later and have such a variety of backgrounds and areas. The bride's room and groom's room were both awesome, too. Joanne really put a lot of time, effort, and thought into making Quail an amazing place.
And unlike other venues, Joanne and her husband really care about you and want to help make your day perfect and special. It felt like we were getting married at home — except it wasn't our home. She (along with our coordinator Annette from Honey and Wheat Events) went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. She even made the pool green especially for our St. Patrick's Day wedding!
I can't say enough great things about Quail or Joanne!

If you have any doubts about booking here, you can put those doubts to rest right now. Joanne will guide you through every step of the process. Her vendors are top notch (people are STILL raving about our wedding food). Her vision for your wedding is as good or better than anything you yourself have imagined. Trust me. Trust her. This is the wedding venue of your dreams!

Quail Ranch is one of the dreamiest wedding venues ever!!!! We loved this venue from the moment we saw it and all of our guests could not get over how beautiful our wedding was! We fell in love with the organic feel of this property. Everything from getting married under a big tree to dancing the night away outside under twinkle lights was our dream wedding. Joanne, the owner of the venue is so sweet and professional we loved getting to work with her! Her and her husband are such great people we genuinely wanted them to come party with us at our wedding! One of the first things that really set this venue apart for us was having the luxury of getting ready in the bridal and groom suite. The food was delicious, we were able to bring in our own alcohol, and we were able to have a band! All boxes that were important we check. Many of our guests said it was one of the nicest weddings they have ever been to and all my friends could not get over how beautiful all my pictures looked thanks to the gorgeous setting! It truly was a perfect day and we LOVE Quail Ranch. -

Alex Sent on 09/22/2018The venue is extremely intimate and beautiful, it was exactly what we were looking for. Joanne was very professional and nice, and helped us with any concerns or questions we had. Although the grounds were picture perfect, they were very strict with the rules set. For example, the grooms suite is not available until 1 hour before the ceremony starts, and the bridal suite is not avaliable until 12. We paid a lot of money for the “day” but we felt like we did not get the full value. The catering company you have to use if you book this venue has amazing food but is pricey. They were easy to work with and answered any questions we had. We chose this venue after we attended a showcase they put on that had vendors, food to taste, and was set up for a wedding. It was very helpful to see the ceremony, cocktail, and reception set up and invision us having our wedding there. Be aware that you have to pay for valet, security guards, and vendor/event insurance in addition to the venue rental fee. Overall our wedding was perfect and we got so many compliments on the venue grounds, it photographed perfectly!

Your wedding day was beautiful and the venue was exactly as you envisioned. Your pictures are gorgeous! As you know, I encourage brides to pick a coordinator that is experienced and familiar but sometimes people decide to go with a friend. Nothing is a surprise and all aspects of the day are fully explained upfront. Your timeline had you arriving at least an hour late to the property and it seems your groomsmen arrived 1 -1/2 hours late. That is unfortunate but we were not involved in your timeline or your transportation arrangements at all. Planning and working with an experienced coordinator is key to enjoying the day fully and a less professional planner will miss details. I'm sorry this was the case. I hope you choose to remember that your wedding was beautiful here and the day was perfect. It was a pleasure meeting you and sharing Quail Ranch with you. - Joanne -
