Abbey is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! First off, she is genuine, thoughtful, kind, direct, and on it! We hired her for full-service wedding planning. She kept us on task each month, provided amazing recommendations, and was totally open to all our ideas and changes. She created a stunning design board but to see how it all came together the day of was so beautiful and emotional! We were stressing about rain during set up for the event and she somehow, incredibly, made it work. We were able to have the event of our wildest dreams because of her. Love her and am grateful for her always. -

WOW.
Abbey was INCREDIBLE and a total VISIONARY! Not only did she create a STUNNING design board that led all of the creative/design meetings with vendors; But she took a "feeling" that I had of "romantic, moody, fall" and TURNED IT INTO AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WEDDING. It was so special to see her ability to hear the vague words and create my perfect vision for my day that all of our guests commented was "so Ashli and Brad." On top of being a design queen, she also wrangled my bridal party and vendors and kept us on track day of (really month of, I did mostly nothing). She even got us caught up timeline-wise when I was about half an hour late to the venue!
I cannot recommend Abbey enough. She is an absolute delight. -

Wow, where to even begin! Abbey was such a fantastic planner, we really had the most beautiful day. We had our wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch on May 29, 2022, but we started planning on the late side (did not book the venue until August 2022). Abbey immediately helped us feel right on track. Right from the start, Abbey took the time to get to know us as a couple. By doing this, she was able to match our energy and execute our vision perfectly. She connected us with most talented vendors who made our day absolutely spectacular. Just a few examples- we wanted a showstopper floral arrangement- she hooked it up with Lale florals (look them up). We wanted a meaningful interfaith ceremony, she introduced us to our Rabbi who we connected with deeply and made our ceremony so personal. On our actual wedding day, we had just about every weather event you can imagine in Colorado (rain, hail, snow). Because of Abbey, the day ran seamlessly despite using multiple weather alternative locations for our ceremony and cocktail hour.
The only thing about working with Abbey that I regretted was not booking her for our entire wedding weekend! I really could not recommend her highly enough :) -

Abbey is hands down he most incredible wedding planner. I can’t even begin to explain how perfect she was for our wedding day. We paid for month of coordination and the only thing I would have changed, is that we should have paid for the full package because she made every process SO easy, especially since we were planning an out of state wedding in Colorado living in Texas. A wedding planner is one of the first vendors you book, and you don’t realize how important they are until way later - don’t make this mistake. THEY ARE VITAL. And Abbey truly blew us away; vendors were on point, timing on everything was perfect, her recommendations saved our day and money multiple times. Every time I asked about something, it was already done - like she could read my mind! I am truly gushing over how thankful I am for her. She’s professional and super experienced, seriously book with Abbey and don’t think twice. She is worth every penny!!!! -

Working with Abbey from PSE was an amazing experience. We had to postpone our initial wedding one year due to the pandemic, so we had the pleasure of working with Abbey for 2 whole years. I am not very much of the planner type, nor someone who enjoyed wedding planning, so I was super grateful for Abbey/PSE throughout. She is very patient, professional, responsive, kind, relaxed, experienced, and knowledgeable. She was able to recommend amazing vendors within the budget we gave to her -- I think all of our vendors we hired were based off of her recommendations, and our wedding was perfect and so much more than we could have ever dreamed of. The week leading up to the wedding and especially the day of the wedding, I felt super at ease and confident, because I knew that if anything went awry, Abbey would swoop in and handle it flawlessly, and that I didn't need to worry about anything. Because of this, I was able to be present in the moment and have the best time ever, focused on celebrating our love with friends + family. Thanks so much Abbey for everything! 10/10 would recommend. -

Abbey is the person you want to hire for your wedding. Abbey is extremely talented, professional, creative and wonderful to work with. She has outstanding relationships with vendors, artists and venues around Colorado. Wedding planning can be very stressful, especially the weeks leading up to the big day, however, Abbey seamlessly took over all communication and responsibility without a hitch. There was also another level of complexity due to my husband and I planning a destination wedding in Vail (as we live in Chicago). It was advantageous to have boots on the ground and someone to help us navigate the whole process. Additionally, one of our top priorities for our initial planner search was to work with someone who overcommunicated and Abbey went beyond our expectations. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Abbey truly made it happen. We can't thank her enough! -

Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Abbey. If you're on the fence as to whether on not you should hire a coordinator for your event, trust us, you want to hire Purple Summer Events. Not only is Abbey extremely professional, easy to communicate with, and a design genius, she is also incredibly kind and goes above and beyond for her clients. As a bride impacted by COVID, we couldn't have asked for a better Coordinator to help us navigate through changed plans. We ended up moving our wedding from Colorado to California, but that didn't stop Abbey from making sure our day was perfect. She helped us create a timeline down to the second, answered all of our questions, did vendor research, the list goes on.
One thing that really stood out, and something I didn't think I needed help on originally was design support. As a bride with a billion pins on Pinterest, Abbey took the time to understand my vision and make it into a cohesive plan. She even researched our rentals vendor catalog to help us pick out the items that would bring it to life. This was a task I underestimated and so appreciate Abbey's help on.
We could go on and on, but it simply comes down to you will not regret hiring Abbey as your Special Event Coordinator. -

Abbey was the wedding planner of our dreams! From the very start she understood my vision and made it all come to life! She has a great eye for design and really knows her stuff when it comes to other vendors you will use for your wedding. At our rehearsal and on our wedding day, Abbey brought a sense of calm and joyfulness that everyone truly appreciated. We absolutely loved working with Abbey. From the moment we were with her, she allowed us to enjoy every stage of the planning process by keeping us organized and on schedule, and simplifying decisions so we could just focus on what we really wanted instead of trying to sift through a million different possible vendors. This feeling 100% extended to wedding day. Everything was so organized and prepared ahead of time that we truly just got to sit back, relax, and enjoy the day. She gave us such a gift by allowing us to just take in the moment and not worry about a thing. We can't thank her (or recommend) her enough! Making this one choice made every other choice we made 1000 times easier.

Where to begin?? Abbey is a rare gem and worth every penny. She listened to us very carefully during every phone call and meeting and it showed in all her vendor recommendations. She made the whole planning process so smooth for us, despite getting married in Denver, a city we had lived in for less than a year. She was calm, professional but fun, warm and energetic. My husband and I had our dream wedding (literally not one thing we would change) and it would not have been possible without Abbey and her expertise. All of our guests were so impressed with the whole weekend and a lot of them even commented on how great Abbey was. She was so kind to all our friends and family, always making sure everyone was taken care of. Do yourself a huge favor and hire Purple Summer Events! -

We were recommended to PSE by our wedding venue and it was the best advice we could have received. Abbey guided us in choosing all of our vendors which was invaluable because we were planning a wedding from out of state. We were extremely happy with all of the ones she did help us to choose. She kept me on track with her monthly checklists and was not discouraged when I continued to be a month or two behind !! She was able to understand my vision when I didn't understand it myself. Abbey and Purple Summer Events were absolutely instrumental in helping us turn our wedding day into something incredibly personal, massively fun, and truly magical! From our 10-month planning process to the day of our wedding (and beyond), every little detail was well thought through, and implemented perfectly. Abbey made us feel like royalty, took the stress on herself when needed (while still having a calming presence), made sure every detail was in place, and always had a smile on her face. Her monthly checklists kept us on schedule, ensuring we had all of the important (and fun) aspects of our planning set, and keeping them from becoming stresses later on. Even our friends and family noticed her A+ work before and during the wedding, seeing it all come to life. That's a true testament to her hard work and character. We highly recommend Purple Summer Events to anyone getting married - having her guide you through the most wonderful time of your life is absolutely worth it. We are so lucky to have had Abbey Hoefling and Purple Summer Events as our day-of coordinator. From the very beginning when we were just looking at coordinators, Abbey was so pleasant to talk with and was willing to answer any questions we needed. Even though Abbey was our day-of (which was really month-of) coordinator, she was happy to provide vendor recommendations and answer the nitty gritty questions I would send her way, at multiple points leading up to the month of the wedding. Once Abbey took over as our month-of coordinator, I felt extremely relieved. Abbey is so organized and on top of things, I knew I never had to worry about her taking care of all of the last minute details. During the rehearsal and all day on the day of the wedding, I felt so relaxed knowing that Abbey was there and that everything was going to go smoothly under her watch. Our wedding day would not have been the smooth sailing ship that it was without Abbey. It was an easy decision to choose Purple Summer Events, and I highly recommend Abbey and her team to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding coordinator! -

To sum it up, thought, the best I can: I had so many friends and relatives approach me and tell me I seemed genuinely calm and happy the weeks leading up to and on our wedding day. Now I know that's because I married my favorite human, but it's in large part because of Abbey. She is a calming force and made our lives so easy during wedding planning. She handles everything with grace and poise; she has an amazing eye for details and design; and she was there when we needed her, even when you didn't know you needed her (like getting you your favorite drink, letting you know its time for dances and toasts, or just checking in). She made everything effortless and smooth and made us feel like we didn't have to lift a finger. 100% get yourself an Abbey! -
Jess Sent on 01/18/2018Erik and I had the sanity-saving privilege of working with Purple Summer Events for our destination wedding in Colorado last year and I credit them for assisting me through all hurdles planning a long-distance wedding can throw at a bride! I went with the Day-Of-Wedding package, yet Abbey checked in monthly leading up to the wedding and gave wonderful recommendations for hair, flowers, photography, etc. Kelly took over in the 30 Days prior to the wedding to calm me through frustrating issues with my venue and on the day of, she ensured everything flowed smoothly and looked beautiful! I cannot recommend this company enough!

Rebecca Sent on 08/26/2017To me, the mark of a good day-of coordinator is that you aren't really sure of what they did, exactly. And yet...your event runs smoothly and on time. And that kind of thing never "just happens"at an event without a ton of work involved.
During the wedding planning process, Abbey was always responsive, positive, and honest with her feedback. When I needed her to do some extra work for me with vendor research, she delivered thorough results which helped me make an informed decision. She was always calm, cool, and level-headed with my slightly neurotic questions, which I always appreciated! I also never sensed a hint of judgement for my decisions to not do x or y.
During set up on the day-of, Abbey executed my vision and exceeded my expectations in making everything look just so lovely. You can trust her to adapt to scenarios you may not anticipate. When something I had wanted (my bridal bouquet on our sweetheart table) just didn't look quite right, she found an alternative that was just as beautiful.
And at the end of the night, she handled the exit of vendors, the storing of our precious extra alcohol, and our valuable gift envelopes...without me being aware of any of it. Abbey made it possible for us to just enjoy ourselves and not think twice about logistics.
My only regret is not hiring her for her in more of a full-time planning role. I planned my wedding out of state while holding a full time, high-pressure job, and it was way harder than I thought it would be. But since hiring your coordinator is one of the first things you do...I didn't really have perspective on costs for things so I felt like i HAD to choose just the day-of. Looking back, when I think of all the stress-fights I could have saved with my husband, I just kick myself over not just hiring Abbey to just handle everything for me! Thank you, Abbey, you did a fantastic job! -

Mary Sent on 03/14/2017Abbey was such a JOY to work with! It was one of the first and the best wedding planning decisions we made to hire her for a year-long full planning and design service. I was an out-of-state bride so it was great to have Abbey helping us pick local Denver vendors, offering to attend meetings if we couldn’t be there in person, and providing monthly To-Dos. It made planning so much less stressful and it was a huge time saver having her! We loved that she kept our budget and priorities in mind with her vendor suggestions, and she was always willing to look for another option if it wasn’t something we loved. Plus, by the time it was the big day she was intimately familiar with all of our vendors and vision making our big day go so smoothly, it honestly was perfect! Her assistant, Kelly, was also a great help to Abbey to ensure our tight venue set-up time and cocktail hour room flip went off without a hitch! Or at least if there were any problems I certainly didn’t know about it, which is exactly what you want from a wedding planner – zero stress! It is easy to see that Abbey loves what she does and how dedicated she is to making each wedding she works on special. Thank you, PSE!!!!! -

She was very patient with my many questions about design ideas...even when my vision changed...and really helped me to nail down what I wanted. She definitely helped validate my design choices during planning, and helped me stay on track with all the details that go into planning/vendors etc. Abbey is organized, helpful, patient, relaxed, and just a NICE person! She and her team made our wedding day a breeze. She was on top of everything on wedding day and made sure our reception looked/felt like a dream. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Abbey! Thank you so much for everything--the day was perfect!
