Prospect House was such a dream wedding venue! It’s an incredibly unique space that reflected our not-so-traditional wedding and personal tastes perfectly. The outdoor ceremony space was my personal favorite part of the venue and the customizable nature of the building and grounds made it easy to design around.
Lucy helped us navigate plenty of questions and was incredibly kind and flexible, and the bar staff was excellent the night of our wedding. All of our guests loved the space and the fire pit, corn hole set, venue-provided getting ready beverages and onsite parking were all awesome perks. There were plenty of great places to stay nearby and so many fun spots to eat, drink, and spend an afternoon nearby that made everything easier for our out-of-town guests. Stunning Venue
My husband and I had our wedding at Prospect House in November 2023, and it was a wonderful experience!
The space itself is gorgeous, and its recent acquisition has led to several improvements. The ceremony area and the view are stunning —even more so in person. The getting-ready areas for the wedding party are modern and stylish, while having enough room to easily accommodate a large party. The reception space is minimalist, clean, and tasteful. We opted for more subdued florals and the natural design of the space easily stands for itself. We also particularly loved the bud wall!
Working with the Prospect House team was great and they were very attentive, helpful, and communicative in every step leading up to the big day. Especially Elizabeth Juarez, who we loved. They worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, making it easy for us to enjoy the day. We even asked to use a caterer that wasn’t a preferred vendor of Prospect House and they readily accommodated us.
Some considerations for this venue based on our experience: The location is relatively far outside of central Austin, so we opted for renting buses to take guests to and from the venue, since we had a large number of out-of-state guests. Also, the central breezeway where (depending on your wedding timeline) guests will likely gather before and after the ceremony is not air-conditioned or heated, so depending on season that could be a challenge. Our date was a little colder than anticipated so we did rent some heaters to help heat the space to make our guests comfortable.

I had my eye on Prospect House for roughly 7 years which is a huge indication of how timeless the venue really is. We toured over 10 venues across Texas and landed on Prospect House due to the value for money, the owners and how personable they are and the beauty of the space. Our guests LOVED the venue/outdoors and it was perfect for our big day! Prospect House is contemporary and modern and can go any direction in aesthetic. We did a minimal, black/white classic style which matched the venue perfectly! Kathryn and Erich were such a pleasure to work with! They were consistently responsive and truly care about the couples and groups who rent the space. 10/10!Prospect House's reply:

The venue was amazing, just as pictured. A gorgeous clean slate that stayed shockingly comfortable in the Texas heat. The team behind Prospect House is very accommodating and helpful too. Kathryn and Erich even reviewed my table layouts and gave suggestions for the perfect fit. The breezeway and main hall made for a perfect rain plan (which we thankfully did not have to use) and a great way to break up the party into dancing and chatting spaces at the end of the night without feeling too segregated. Everyone loved the outdoor space and the wedding party loved having the groom and bride suites to retreat to for touch ups when needed.Prospect House's reply:

Kathryn and Erich of Prospect House have created an incredible space with the most thoughtful details. From the native landscape to the Texas dancehall vibes, there’s not one corner that’s not absolutely beautiful, intentional, and photogenic. What’s more is that they are lovely to work with! They were super accommodating for visits, our rehearsal, and promptly answered any questions we had throughout the planning process.
Prospect House was the most beautiful and unique backdrop for our wedding. Thank you for hosting a night we will never forget! -

Kathryn and Erich have built a stunning venue in Dripping Springs and the photos speak for themselves. But aside from the looks, the owners are extremely easy-going and accommodating people, and made planning a wedding there a breeze! When we were considering our options of postponing our wedding due to the pandemic, they were so kind and understanding. Wish we had another reason to host an event at Prospect House! -

The venue is minimalistic and modern. Prospect House is all white, a truly a blank slate venue. This allows individuals to decorate the venue however they would like. The architectural elements are absolutely stunning. The breezeway was cool during the September heat and has a spectacular bud vase wall that you can decorate. The outdoor space over looks the hill country, which is an enchanting view. The natural lighting was simply elegant against the modern, white walls. The reception hall is very big and fits about 200 guests and a buffet comfortably (with a space for a dance floor).
I would highly recommend this venue to everyone. Kathryn and Erich are wonderful individuals and are extremely easy to work with. They are both understanding and accommodating! -

When my daughter got engaged last November, we looked at about 8 venues in the greater Austin area. None of the other venues we toured had "it" - that wow factor she was looking for.
When we came to Prospect House, she (and I) knew before we even walked in the door that it would be perfect. Prospect is simple, modern and uses all of the natural beauty and light to its best advantage. Prospect provides nice chairs, tables (rounds and rectangles) and a built in bar. The outdoor space is amazing, and the whole venue is a perfect backdrop for any type of decor. It's one of those places where it's even more striking in person than in the photos.
All of the other vendors we lined up (photographer, videographer, catering, floral, wedding planner, DJ) raved about how Prospect House is one of their favorite venues. The owners were very intentional and thoughtful to create a place that worked ideally for customers and vendors.
However, with Covid, we were not able to hold the wedding as planned. Even so, Prospect's owners, Kathryn and Erich, were wonderful to work with and very understanding and flexible throughout the whole situation.
I highly recommend Prospect House - it's a beautiful venue with great service the whole way through. -

I love Prospect House! It is such a fabulous venue in hill country Texas and Kathryn and Erich are a delight to work with. The space itself is beautiful, modern, and minimalist. I love that the space operates as a blank slate that you can do anything with, but also that you do not have to go over the top to transform the space because of the beauty in its design and clean lines. From our first venue tour to the venue walkthrough, rehearsal, and wedding day, we had wonderful experiences working with Erich and Kathryn. They are attentive, communicative, great at providing recommendations, and overall so helpful and flexible. The ceremony frame, bud wall and weather vane are just a few of my favorite elements of the space. Not to mention that the flow of the event from the outdoor ceremony to cocktail hour in the breezeway to the reception and party in the main hall works so well. I feel so lucky that we were able to get married at Prospect House and would absolutely recommend it! -

Prospect house has been my dream venue since it opened! Eric (owner) is so incredibly nice and maintains his property like it’s his home. The bridal room is gorgeous and has plenty of space for a big bridal party. The ceremony area is so unique compared to your traditional venue. With the large field as the backdrop it will make you feel as if you’re out in the heart of the county but is only a short commute from Austin. Love love love this venue and I will recommend it to EVERYONE! -

The moment we visited Prospect House, we knew we wanted to have our wedding at this venue. As a 'blank canvas' of sorts, it was the perfect size for our mid-sized gathering (~120 people), and it really fit our minimalist style, giving us the opportunity to decorate only what we wanted to, within our allotted budget. And Erich and Kathryn were absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire process! They answered all of our (many) questions up front, allowed us to visit the venue multiple times, and were so flexible in how we decorated and used the space.
I also want to note that with Texas’ unpredictable storm patterns, the fact that Prospect House has both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces is such a stress-reliever. On the day of our wedding, we were caught off-guard by a lot of morning and afternoon sun (as we were expecting rain storms). While many vendors require setup details to be finalized within 24 hours of the ceremony, Erich's team gave us ample time to decide whether to setup the indoor or outdoor ceremony space on the day of our wedding. Within a few hours of the ceremony, we ultimately decided indoor would be safer, and the well-known bud vase wall served as a gorgeous backdrop for our nuptials. And good thing - because the rains and all the thunder came right before we said our "I Do's"! -

This venue is absolutely beautiful. I love the modern features and the fact that it has everything you need to throw a kick ass party. The place is beautifully decorated and the owners are a joy to work with. Can't recommend them enough! -

Our pictures turned out beautifully and we received so many compliments from our guests (and vendors)! Erich and Kathryn are the best to work with and make the whole process simple and enjoyable.
