My husband and I had Proof of the Pudding for our wedding catering and Darnell was FANTASTIC!! From the moment we sent an inquiry to Proof of the Pudding, Darnell had wonderful customer service and top notch professionalism. His approach immediately gave us confidence and was one of the reasons we booked with Proof of the Pudding. Our tasting with the team was excellent, by far the best of 4 tastings we had with potential caterers.
Darnell was wonderful on our wedding day but the staff that worked with our wedding seemed to be unenthusiastic. One bartender was unfriendly and our VIP server only checked on us twice. She also seemed inconvenienced and we couldn’t find her so our wedding planner would get drinks and water for us.
The POP food quality was WONDERFUL!! We had multiple friends and family members tell us that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. To this day, we are still reminiscing on how delicious the short rib was. -

Proof of the Pudding catered my wedding recently. In a nutshell, they were PHEMONEMAL!! From the start, they were so friendly and responsive to all my questions. I worked with Chris Bazemore to coordinate the menu and she offered amazing suggestions and ideas. We had a few guests with severe food allergies and they were extremely accommodating. On the wedding day, they prompt and ready to go! While it was a busy day, everyone on the Proof team moved with seamless agility. My wedding was unbelievably memorable and Proof had a huge hand in that. I cannot say thank you enough for their organization, their professionalism, and their very kind nature. Honestly, if you are getting married...only use vendors that use Proof of the Pudding. -

Olivia Sent on 01/07/2017Barbara from Proof of the Pudding was extremely awesome to work with! We loved everything from our tasting to the picnic basket they gave us after the wedding. The food was amazing. We couldn't decide on an entree, so they let us give everyone half of each. They loved it! The appetizers were so good and unique. We also had them do passed milk and cookies. This was the biggest hit with our guests! On top of all of that fabulous service, they sent us off with a cooler of a little bit of everything from the night. Amazing! I would choose them over and over again. -

Erica Sent on 03/31/2016Words cannot express how truly grateful I am to Wendy and her team at POP for making our formal wedding event a success ! They were epic in the services that they provided and everyone was so impressed with the seated dinner and menu. Kudos to the chef for tailoring the menu to the palate of the bride and groom's preferences . I really appreciate the flexibility of the staff when things didn't go as they were supposed to (unexpected guests disrupted the seating and thus food allotments) however the staff pivoted and smoothed out any disruptions with the help of our coordinator without bringing it back to us. I have so many positive things to say and hope to book them for future events ! -

Caitlin Sent on 04/04/2011I had my ceremony and reception at Magnolia hall in Piedmont Park, Atlanta. Whitney was with me from the first email to the day after, assuring that everything that went well. I could have not been more pleased with our choice. I am not good at planning, decision making, timeliness, etc. I initially chose Proof due to the flexibility and variety of menu options. I was able to select the items and setting of stations which fit my vision of a relaxed Sunday in the park, daytime reception.
With me working in fine dining and working weddings in the past, I had enough experience to tell that Proof was top notch, experienced, professional, flexible, and friendly. I truly had the immediate confidence that all concerns and details could be trusted in their hands. The catering proposal included a tasting of the menu items of our choice. The chef explained the items in detail as our server meticulously catered to our every need. Whitney joined us and added excellent suggestions along the way.
The responses from our guests were above and beyond the typical 'everything was great.' The staff made sure we ate, and set us up with our own table (which we forgot to plan, as we did not wish to have a sit-down meal with place settings). To-go boxes filled with our favorite items were packed with care, along with an additional insulated bag stocked with cheeses, wine, crackers, etc. That was a lovely surprise!
If you are looking to enjoy your wedding and not be nagged through-out your planning and reception by various concerns, questions, and details, you will be pleased with choosing Proof of the Pudding. I only compared estimates from a couple vendors, and was using the suggested vendors from Piedmont Park's list. Proof came in on the lower price range and provided value above and beyond our expectations. Many caterers also charge a cake cutting fee, ranging from $2-$4 per slice. This was not the case with Proof, they included cake cutting, AND added complimentary chocolate covered strawberries to each plate.
It was well worth every penny to have such qualified and experienced caterers. Words cannot express how well they exceeded our expectations. -

We had so many compliments on how delicious our food was. I've always read that music and food are what people remember most about weddings so it was super important to me to have great food for my guests. Candice and her team worked hard to give us exactly what we wanted and it came out better than we imagined. -

Jess Sent on 01/11/2026Majorly disappointing food and they TRASHED OUR CAKE WTF
We were initially so excited to work with Proof of the Pudding when we booked with them early in our engagement. The tasting was quite decent, and they offer a lot of customization and vegetarian options, which was important to me. Unfortunately, when all was said and paid for, our experience on the wedding day was SO DISAPPOINTING. The food ended up being much lower quality than what we experienced at the tasting, and a lot of it was cold. Worst of all, the staff THREW AWAY our entire custom wedding cake right after my husband and I cut into it for pictures. Didn’t serve it to us or the guests nor did they box up leftovers of the cake. We never saw it again. If they weren’t sure what we wanted to do with it, maybe just ask before tossing an entire cake? I emailed our coordinator a few days after to inquire and basically got a “whoops, sorry” with no attempts to make things right or reimburse costs. My friend and I made that cake from scratch, and I’ve attached pictures so you can see how gorgeous and professional it was (not to mention the sentimental value). I highly recommend booking elsewhere- this is not a good value for the money and the professionalism is seriously lacking. -
