  Preserving Harvest catered my engagement party earlier this year and I have to say that it was a great decision selecting them. And after this, I think they might be the go to for our wedding. The team was extremely gracious and flexible with respect to our needs and modifications to the menu. What I respect the most is the fact that Marcia is able to conceive an idea in her brain and make it come to life. She showed her creativity and versatility as both a Chef and a Sommelier with her cocktails and food items. All of my friends and family were also pleased with the end result and even considered using her for their own events. Thanks again and this would not have been possible without you.

  NYC destination mini wedding

  We had a destination wedding in NYC. Although we had a planner Marcia was actively involved in the planning throughout. Marcia listened to my requests and sent few different quotes without hesitation. She also liaised with the hire company for the rentals which I know wasn’t an easy task but on the day she got it spot on. When Marcia sent through the food choice for the day I knew it would be amazing and it really was. The set up was perfect. The food was amazing and complimented by everyone. We didn’t have a huge budget but Marcia managed to make the bar set up and drinks very classy but which I was grateful for. Lastly her staff were amazing! They were laid back, blended in, great with the kids and allowed us space to have our party. I couldn’t recommend her or the team enough. Thank you!

  They are just amaizing

  Our experience with Preserving Harvest was extraordinary from the beginning to the end. They were instrumental in planning our wedding. My wife and I organized this wedding while living in California and everyone including Chef Marcia, our point of contact Daniel and Tuya provided us with all the necessary recommendations to orchestrate a destination wedding. They gave us confidence in a process that seemed very complicated given the fact that we didn't have an event planner. We traveled once before our wedding day to do a tasting and we were immediately obsessed with the food. I could not have asked for a better caterer for our wedding!

  Our wedding was amazing. We can not begin to thank everyone at Preserving Harvest for all of their hard work. Everyone raved about the food. Marcia surprised us when she had a roasted bone for our dog! She just makes everyone feel welcomed with all her attention to details. Our wedding food was the best I ever had. We wouldn't change a thing.

  Preserving Harvest Catering was absolutely amazing. The staff was professional and knowledgeable; the service was flawless and the food was delicious.   I can go on forever talking about Preserving Harvest. Our priorities were simple when selecting a caterer; Zac and I were looking for delicious food and a great wine list. Once we learned that Marcia was a Sommelier we knew that our search was over. Marcia and her team delivered fresh, beautiful and tasty food as well as flawless service and a killer organic wine list. Our friends and family can't stop talking about our wedding day because of the food! The Sous Vide Hanger was the best steak I ever had.   In terms of seeking out a catering company, there were a few things my wife and I were looking for: a company that creates personalized and comprehensive food and beverage menus (this company happens to have two Certified Sommeliers on staff), and takes our needs and suggestions to create a unique story through their food. We got married at a scenic winery in Corning, NY and the company was more than willing to travel for our special day. Not only did they tie their food and beverage into our theme but they also did a quirky fun spin on certain dishes. Marcia and her staff draw on their influences and experiences and what I truly enjoyed about working with her was that her mind was working non stop and she often came up with things on the fly. Having someone that was able to improvise and create things on the spot was very impressive and her food certainly delivered on all front. Our guests were truly blown away with the food and beverage menu and my wife and I were in awe as well. This is a company that I would recommend to anyone for any occasion.

  Could not have been happier with Marcia and her team!

  I cannot say fully in words how much I love Marcia and what an amazing experience our wedding was because of Preserving Harvest. We fell in love with Marcia and her food about six months before our wedding, and she created a three course amazing meal for us in New York as a tasting. Her warm and inviting nature, free of pretentious attitude, unlike many chefs I have dealt with, and creativity, blew us away. We hired her immediately, despite blowing way over our initial budget! We were so in awe of her delicious cooking, in fact, that we told her to cook whatever she wanted for our wedding and surprise us day of (which I never in a million years expected myself to do, as a total planner).
  
  We live in California, so all planning was done via e-mail and on the phone. Marcia made the whole process so easy and painless for us, and did a lot of coordination with our site on our behalf. We had our wedding a few weeks ago. Marcia and her staff could not have been nicer. They showed up wearing matching dog socks, as they knew our dog was in the wedding. Marcia cooked our dog an amazing special meal and roasted her a bone, which ended up coming on our honeymoon with us because our dog would not let us throw it away! The meal was to die for. She created a unique, tailored menu, that was really exciting and different. Everything tasted fresh, was the perfect temperature, and met even our most foody/snobby relatives' desires. One of the highlights of the evening, which I shared already with Marcia, was concerning my cousin who has Down Syndrome and is an extremely picky eater, who mostly lives off of unseasoned meat and potatoes. My uncle watched him go for seconds on all of the different dishes (which had unique spices and flavors, and even tofu, as most of our meal was vegan). He asked him if he liked the meal and he said, "Are you kidding me, I am in Heaven!" That moment will forever last in our hearts and was such a touching addition to the day!
  
  Marcia gave us the most special wedding. While the venue and setting were also amazing, it would not have been the same without her food. I get daily phone calls and e-mails from our guests telling us this was the best wedding ever, that the food was unlike any wedding food they've ever had, and asking how can they get the recipes. Marcia has sent follow-up e-mails to check on us and whether she likes it or not, we now consider her family.
  
  Not in my wildest imagination could I have guessed we would have this experience with our wedding caterer. She is so kind, generous, genuine, in addition to being a phenomenal cook. She created a memory that we will never forget, and gave a culinary experience to some of our guests that they have never had. If you are vegan or have dietary restrictions, she is also your girl! Everyone left our wedding full, excited about her food, and content (Which literally never happens at weddings in my opinion).
  
  A million praises and hugs to Marcia and her team! You would be stupid not to pick her as your event caterer. I mean that absolutely sincerely. We love her!!!

  Failure to Return Deposit after Covid cancellation

  My wife and I retained Marcia to cater our wedding initially scheduled for Nov 2020; this was rescheduled to May 2021, and unfortunately could not go ahead due to Covid related restrictions at that time. In Feb 2020 we paid a sizable deposit, and we have not received a penny of it back. A year ago, my review was disputed and eventually taken down when The Knot sided with Marcia. However, I now have a court order, where a judge has reviewed all the evidence, which requires Marcia to pay me back my entire deposit plus interest. While her food may have been good, Marcia and Preserving Harvest's actions have been horrible to us. As a result, we are still owed five figures, she blocked us on every form of social media and has not been in contact with us for almost 18 months. In my opinion, that is a pretty poor, childlike, and unprofessional way to conduct a business.
