Working with Sheriah to plan our wedding was the best decision I could have made! We were planning our wedding long-distance and having boots on the ground was something we needed. Sheriah was detail-oriented when it came to addressing all of our needs/wants/dreams for the big day and all the surrounding events. She was great at breaking all the decisions and planning into small bite-sized pieces so I didn't get overwhelmed while going through the process. I loved how hard she worked to make sure we could have everything we wanted - and was conscious of budget throughout our time working together. Something that was really important to me in choosing a wedding planner was having someone on board who had good connections to vendors who would speak to the tone of our day and mesh well with us. Sheriah certainly had that! She made suggestions as who would be good for the vibe we wanted, but the decision was ultimately ours. However, her suggestions were truly wonderful and helped make our day beautiful and special. Where I really got to see Sheriah work her magic was in the day-of coordinating. She made sure our day ran smoothly, on-schedule, and as laid out in our plan. It took away all the stress and anxiety that so many brides speak of on their wedding day. Kevin and I got to fully enjoy our day and trust everything to Sheriah and her team. We were in the best hands! Highly recommend choosing Posh Occasions for your wedding or event.

Posh Occasion by Sheriah is absolutely amazing! Sheriah and I met by recommendation of a Facebook friend! We had our initial meeting and I instantly knew she was a perfect person to take on the task with assisting me with planning Marcus's and I wedding! Over the span of planning Sheriah moved from just being my planner to family! She understood my vision right away and she came to every vendor meeting so we knew we could relax on our wedding day because she had everything handled. Our timeline for the day of was so detailed and organized! Sheriah and her team ensured the day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch and we stayed on track. Sheriah was on top of everything and I knew there was nothing to worry about on the actual wedding day. Sheriah is your biggest hype woman and will ensure you live your best life. She not only made sure that we, as bride and groom were taken care of but the entire bridal party and immediate family. I can honestly go on and on at how amazing Sheriah is. Our day would not have been as perfect if it wasn’t for Sheriah. Everyone needs a Sheriah in their life! Hiring Posh Occasions by Sheriah was the best and easiest decision!! -

Before I got engaged I knew I wanted Sheriah & her team to execute my vision. She did that + more! She stays on top of everything & always has a positive attitude. Whenever I called, she was available, or immediately called back, & was ready to answer all questions.. even in my times of panic! Hire her. You will NOT regret it. -

We are so happy we hired Sheriah to serve as our wedding coordinator. We were on the fence about whether we wanted a wedding coordinator or not- my husband and I both have jobs that require us to be decisive and work under pressure, so we thought we could handle it on our own. From our first Zoom call with Sheriah, we knew we were in good hands. Sheriah has such a warm and friendly personality, and you can tell just by talking to her that she is not easily rattled and gets stuff done.
Sheriah helped us create and stick to our budget, and saved us hours of time by recommending vendors that we didn't know about. Her team was amazing to work with as well, and everyone I met on my wedding weekend was so friendly and down to earth, we all felt like old friends.
Sheriah took an unbelievable amount of stress off of us during our wedding, so we were truly able to enjoy our engagement and the planning process. When you are getting married, everyone constantly asks how stressful wedding planning is. I was honestly able to say throughout the whole thing that I wasn't stressed at all, because I knew we were in great hands. We knew that whatever was important would get done with Sheriah and her team at the helm. Multiple guests even commented on how wonderful the team was.
If you're considering Posh Occasions for your wedding, I highly recommend it! It made a world of difference and we are beyond thrilled with how everything turned out. Beyond that, we were so happy to be able to just bask in the love and good energy of the day without being stressed or overwhelmed. -

50th Bday Sneaker Ball
I started planning with Posh Occasions 2022 for my 50th. Sheriah brought my visions to fruition. Sheriah was the consummate professional with patience, attention to detail and exceptional conflict resolution and communication skills. She coordanted and facilitated contracts, vendors and every esquiite detail up to my entrance into the cultural arts center. I will definitely contract with her for my future celebrations. Look no further for a wedding vendor!
We absolutely LOVE Sheriah! From the very first interview, and through the wedding, she was very professional and attentive. Although my daughter, the bride, lives in Tuscaloosa, it was a destination wedding for us in terms of planning. Sheriah kept us on schedule for planning every detail, coordinating with vendors to insure we had the wedding of my daughters dreams. She provided recommended choices for all vendors, and I firmly believe she saved us significantly in several areas, cost wise. Her guidance, along with the tools she has in place for timelines for decision making, were an invaluable resource.
My goal as Mother of the Bride was to rest easy knowing that every detail would be handled by Sheriah and her team, so that I could be free to visit with our family and friends who had all traveled significant distances to attend our wedding. Sheriah allowed me to do that very thing. I was able to live in every moment and enjoy the entire day, confident that all of the details were handled perfectly. She always had a smile on her face and helped us handle delicate family situations (which we all have!) with grace and humor. I am certain to recommend Sheriah to anyone planning a wedding. She is the absolute BEST! -

We hired Sheriah shortly after we had confirmed all our major wedding vendors. Up until that point we had been deliberating on whether we wanted a wedding planner for the planning process or just a wedding coordinator for the weekend of the wedding. We made the right decision in hiring a planner (in retrospect, I cannot imagine doing the alternative) and we were BLESSED when we choose Posh Occasions.
As a bride who wanted to be very hands on with my wedding, I was so happy with Sheriah because she works WITH you. If you want to do A, B, & C yourself that is fine with her, but she make sure it gets done in a timely manner! She handles every other detail that you don’t want to worry about (& sometimes don’t even know you should be doing) and has all the contacts (that you don’t have) to make sure everything is the best it can be!
She possesses all the qualities you want in a wedding planner: professional, direct, organized, detail-oriented, determined, passionate & great under pressure, but what makes Sheriah stand out is her personality. She is kind, funny, intentional, sincere, and matter-of-fact. She became family to my mother & I over the months we worked together. Every meeting, no matter how tedious, was a joy because she is a joy to be around!! And wedding day… she was the calming and level-headed presence that every wedding day needs.
I am so thankful to Sheriah Gibson, her husband, Wes, and the Posh Occasions team for bringing my vision to life and making my wedding weekend all that I wanted!!

I was the little girl who dreamed about her wedding… the one who would have a ceremony, reception, and photoshoot with my Barbie dolls. When I met my Prince Charming, I was a busy associate attorney and former event planner. I knew what I wanted, but I didn’t have the time or energy to make it happen. I have a large extended family and married a minister, which meant every detail needed to be perfect. Posh went to “infinity and beyond.” Sheriah thought of everything. She made the process so smooth and her team was a dream to work with. They were all so thoughtful, professional, kind, and creative. She respected my budget, negotiated the best deals, mediated “discussions” with my Hunny, all while coming along to bridal fittings, dress shopping trips, tastings, and everything in between. Moreover, the creative vision and execution was so elegant yet practical! I will be a repeat customer — hiring the Posh team for all future events! -

My son recently got married and his bride had a detailed vision for the wedding, decorations, ALLLL the things. Sheriah’s demeanor is PERFECT for her chosen vocation. It takes tons of patience, calmness in the midst of chaos, and the ability to ease the nerves of the wedding party, maneuver around the boundaries of several different venues, etc. She and her husband are just fab. They develop relationships with the people involved in such an event and they truly feel like friends when it’s all said and done. Can’t recommend them enough! -

She goes absolutely above and beyond for her clients. If there were any major hiccups on our day, I wasn’t aware or she had already tackled them before I even knew.
She has amazing recommendations for vendors and truly made the planning process fun and easy! She guides you step by step and is always available if you have questions, need help, or just want to review where you’re at in the process. She is extremely organized and efficient in her planning. She provided me with a layout, vision of all the design elements, and timeline throughout the process, and she executed everything seamlessly.

Your Perfect Day
From day one we were impressed with Sheriah’s professionalism and preparedness. Her stunning website and our first meeting assured us that we were in good hands. Sheriah went above and beyond in every way possible for which we are incredibly grateful. Throughout the entire process, Sheriah and her team were by our side. We were planning our wedding without family nearby, so it was comforting to know that Sheriah would help us with every step. Sheriah’s team helped us with our bridal shower- connecting with my mom, sister, and mother-in-law- which made the event seamless and stress-free for everyone involved. We stayed at the Bama Bed and Breakfast for the weekend of our wedding, and Sheriah and her team helped us set up a home away from home for our out-of-town family and friends. We celebrated with meals together and had an amazing time. Sheriah was wonderful with communicating with our family to ensure everything was taken care of and distributing tasks so we weren’t overwhelmed. We loved how Sheriah got to know us and chose vendors that matched with our personalities. There isn’t any other wedding planner that could come close to Sheriah- your wedding just wouldn’t be as perfect as it should be without her. -

My fiancé and I moved from Alabama to Texas, so I was planning a long distance wedding and I needed someone I could trust to help me from afar. I quickly booked Posh Occasions after my engagement in July 2019. My wedding was scheduled for June 2020. I have a “Type A” personality but I knew that I needed to have a planner, since I live so far from my event location. It was a necessary part of my overall budget. We met via phone call and I was pleased at how personable Sheriah is and the planning portal she set up for me to upload documents and make payments. Fast forward to March 2020 and I was excited to meet Sheriah in person for a planning meeting on location in Tuscaloosa during my spring break week. However, I had to cancel my flight due to Covid-19 when the world shut down. I was so scared. Should we cancel? Postpone? What about the deposits we paid already? Sheriah met over zoom with my fiancé and I to help give us guidance on how to proceed. She was able to negotiate rescheduling dates with our vendors, so we were able to still secure our original date for an intimate, outdoor ceremony with our close family. Sheriah not only coordinated the small event, but she stuck it out another year with me to plan our reception, which was postponed to June 2021. I believe the resourcefulness and connections Sheriah has with SO MANY vendors is what makes her awesome. Posh Occasions was with us nearly two years and always blew us away with how they were always two steps ahead of what I was thinking (or forgetting). I would recommend Sheriah to anyone and will definitely us her again. She’s worth every single penny! Sheriah and her crew are amazing! -

Posh Occasions is simply the best! Sheriah and her team really make you feel like you are a part of the family. We have been working with them for years and have yet to have a bad experience. I have trusted Sheriah with my birthday celebrations, graduation celebrations, wedding, and baby shower. When our wedding was rescheduled due to the COVID virus, Sheriah was there with us EVERY step of the way. The rescheduling and refunding process was super easy, thanks to her expertise. Our baby shower (which had to be virtual) was a hit! We were down about having to change things for the virus, but again Sheriah's guidance shuttled us to victory. I would give more than 5 stars! We needed a wedding coordinator to help us just the day of and the rehearsal. We were recommended to Sheriah and Posh Occasions by our DJ we had just hired. Sheriah and her team with Posh Occasions was nothing short of amazing and very helpful. We were offered the day of wedding package but she exceeded our expectations and helped out more than we could imagine. She helped us with some of the planning and had several phone conversations with us throughout the planning process to make sure we were right on track. She was very nice, professional and was very patient with us during the COVID-19 situation and having to postpone our wedding, she was there to answer any questions we had and was always quick and available through call or text. She is one of the nicest people you will meet and she will help you out with any question or problem you may have. We are very pleased with the hiring of Posh Occasions to coordinate our wedding. It was perfect and they helped make it more beautiful for us. We highly recommend Sheriah and Posh Occasions for your event you will not be left disappointed! Stress Free, Smooth Sailing
I met Sheriah thru her work for a friend which consisted of a bday party, graduation party, baby shower...basically everything BUT a wedding. But weddings is what she does and those events were so detailed and amazing so we figured, why not? I literally told Sheriah that we wanted purple with a rustic theme and I let her go with it. Trust your vendors!!! They have so much more room for creativity, but if you know what you want, by all means she can do that too! I’m just indecisive and go with the flow. Sheriah is very sweet and personable. I like that she got to know us thru short conversations and got a feel of the kind of people we are. I think she did a great job of displaying such in our wedding venue. Sheriah has an eye for different spaces and is talented at her craft. The pictures don’t do it justice, it was BEAUTIFUL! I HIGHLY recommend Posh Occassions. -

I booked with Sheriah and her team for decor services, but what I got was so much more than expected. She is a great coordinator, an advocate, experienced, and had the answers that I didn't!
