Melissa and her crew were not only a joy to work with but made every member of my family and bridal party feel and look amazing. Its rare for an entire group of opinionated women to all love how they look both hair and make up - but Pop of color succeeded. I can't recommend them enough. They were open to feedback, trustworthy with recommendations and really listened to what each woman wanted. They were kind, fun, flexible, and very professional!

So glad I hired Pop of Color! I felt beautiful all night long
We had Savannah as our hairstylist, and she did a fantastic job! She was so friendly and all of our hairstyles looked perfect throughout the wedding, even after a rainy, humid afternoon and lots of dancing. I asked for a messy updo with my flower crown and felt beautiful with the results. I was originally planning to do my own hair and I am so glad that we ended up having Savannah there.
I also really appreciated Melissa & Pop of Color's flexibility. I initially had some difficulty getting in contact with Melissa over email, but once I called her, she was extremely helpful in helping me make a plan and schedule a hairstylist for 7 people just one month before my wedding.

Amazing hair and makeup and such sweet people!
I had Pop of Color do my hair and make up for my wedding and they crushed it! None of my bridal party wears much make up, and Melissa did such a great job making it look flawless and feel comfortable. Savannah did our hair and was able to replicate what everyone was looking for. Hair and make up held up all night too!

These girls were absolutely incredible. My makeup and hair was beautiful. I hire Elizabeth for all my hair dos for any event. She is hands down the best and I've hired a lot of hair stylists in my day. I cannot say enough great things about the Pop of Color team. I had very little idea of how I wanted my makeup because I usually do not wear any, but Melissa truly created a look that was “me” but just the bridal version. She also helped my mom and mother in law feel so confident the day of the wedding. And Elizabeth was phenomenal with hair. Best Hair and Makeup Team in Asheville!
Melissa and Yulia were the absolute dream team for doing our makeup and hair for my wedding day! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pop of Color and how amazing they were to work with for my wedding! Melissa, who is the owner of the company, is absolutely fabulous and is so on top of everything that she has going on! From the minute I spoke with her on the phone about my vision for my wedding hair and makeup, I knew she would do an amazing job! Melissa recommended that Yulia do my hair for the wedding and she do my makeup. To have the owner of the company do your makeup was the best feeling in the world and I trusted she would do the best job! They also came highly recommended by our photography team, Jenny and Joe, for staying on time and getting everything done efficiently the day of the wedding! My mom and I did a trial run with Melissa and Yulia a few months prior to my wedding, which I would recommend to everyone! It was so nice getting to meet both of them ahead of our wedding day and also getting to do a trial run of both hair and makeup so then we had all the kinks worked out before the wedding day, and my hair and makeup looked even better the second time around they did it on the wedding day! They were able to complete my bridal hair and makeup, my mom’s hair and makeup, and my other 6 bridesmaids hair and makeup in less than 7 hours which is absolutely amazing! Everyone’s hair held the entire night, never fell out or was out of place, and no one’s makeup came off or ran off their face the entire night! To say this was the best experience was an understatement! Melissa and Yulia are not only amazing at their jobs, but also amazing people that we feel so fortunate to know now and hopefully will run into again in the future for other events in our lives! My daughter and I, along with her bridal party, had Melissa do our makeup and Elizabeth do our hair. We could not have picked any other team that could have done a better job. They both were excellent. They asked us what we wanted and delivered it to perfection. They made us all look gorgeous. Danielle and Elizabeth created lovely unique hair for the bridal party. Each bridesmaid as well as bride and mother of the bride had general requests and the stylists were able to design beautiful creations based on feedback from the women. They worked efficiently to finish everyone on time.
Elizabeth H. arrived extra early as her colleague tested positive for Covid and couldn’t attend. Elizabeth was unflappable as she moved through the group applying makeup. She took care to highlight everyone’s features without a heavy hand. The result was a natural look that was beautiful in pictures. Highly recommend this group for your special event.

After a ton of research, I went with POP Of Color for our makeup and hair for the bridal party. Not only was their pricing affordable, but both ladies (Melissa & Yulia) did an amazing job! Every bride wants to look gorgeous on their big day and these ladies do not disappoint. They were also super cool to hang out with while getting ready. My makeup was flawless, not once did I have to reapply a thing. Hair, on point! It was crazy windy outside, so much so that my veil actually flew off my head. We booked both hair and makeup through Pop of Color for myself, 3 bridesmaids, MOB and MOG. Our hairstylist, Elizabeth, executed our individual hairstyles perfectly after we showed her some inspiration photos. Our makeup artist, Elizabeth, was knowledgeable about the products she used, and did a wonderful job with varying makeup styles and preferences. Both ladies were laid back, and were very personable! I, my 4 bridesmaids, and my mom all had our hair and makeup done by Pop of Color for my recent wedding and had a great experience. Yulia did hair for us and Elizabeth did makeup, and the results were perfect. They arrived exactly on time and were efficient while also not making us feel rushed. They listened to what each person wanted for their look and executed exactly what they were looking for. On top of doing great work they were super friendly and personable and made half a day of hair and makeup feel like just getting ready for a night out with your friends. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I eloped in Asheville at the end of October. I didn't have a bridal party and only needed hair/makeup services for myself, so I reached out to Pop of Color because I saw there was a studio I could go to for services. Melissa was super responsive and the booking process was so easy. The morning of I went to the studio. Savannah did my hair first and she was so sweet! We talked the whole time and she did a wonderful job with my hair. Melissa did my makeup after hair and I felt comfortable the entire time, she was also super nice! She did an awesome job with my makeup...not too over the top, but still beautiful! My husband and I trekked all over the Asheville area for our photos and ceremony (Looking Glass waterfall, Black Balsam Knob) and both my hair and makeup held up the whole day! My whole experience with Pop of Color was amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!

POP of Color did an AMAZING job, I was so happy with everything and I would highly recommend them! Elizabeth Roberts did my hair, and Elizabeth Hayward did my makeup. They were so amazing to work with, they listened to what I wanted, and my hair and makeup turned out even better than I envisioned! I was in a panic the week of my wedding because I had a bad reaction to an under eye treatment. Elizabeth assured me she could cover it, and she really pulled through. You couldn't see any bruising/discoloration, it was full coverage but didn't look caked on at all and it lasted all night. She was so sweet, and was truly a lifesaver! I met Melissa and Haley over a year and a half ago and felt immediately like a friend upon our first hair and makeup trial (which I was able to schedule before my engagement photos which turned out beautiful because they made me feel gorgeous from the inside out). Planning from out of town made in-person trials tricky since I changed my mind about how I wanted my hair up until the day of the wedding. Melissa and her team did an amazing job for my daughter and her bridesmaids. My daughter is very knowledgeable about makeup and she loved the way everything turned out. For me, as the MOB , I wasn’t thinking much about the getting ready process, but it turned out to be a highlight of the day. It was a very special time and I got tons of compliments! Everyone’s hair and makeup turned out wonderful. The best I think was the atmosphere of calm , fun and joy that Melissa and her team at POP of Color brought. Fall wedding in the mountains
Melissa and Elizabeth did such an amazing job with our wedding party. They were both very accommodating during the planning and trial process, in listening to ideas and helping to offer suggestions. On the day of the wedding they did a beautiful job with our entire wedding party and made us all feel gorgeous! My hair and makeup came out EXACTLY the way I dreamed it would, and held up beautifully throughout the evening, including some pretty wet weather. Melissa and her team were an absolute JOY to work with!! When I first met Melissa for my hair & makeup trial, we hit it off immediately and spent the whole time laughing and chatting like we had known each other for years. She was so attentive to detail and after discussing the look I was going for, she knew exactly what products/makeup to use to bring it to life. While getting ready the day of the wedding, all of my bridesmaids were raving about how wonderful Melissa and her team were and how much they loved the way their hair and makeup turned out. Pure Bliss and Beauty!
Melissa and Haley were so phenomenal! They had such a calming, cheerful presence. I wanted to go a little bolder than my normal, natural look and Melissa knew just what to do with my pale skin. I grew out my hair forever to have long locks on my wedding day and Haley made it beautiful. I wish I could get this pampered everyday! I totally felt like a princess.

Melissa of Pop of Color did the entire make up for my wedding and did a stunning job. She is so sweet and talented! All the Moms, bridesmaids, and myself were at ease while working with her! We all looked incredible and Melissa really listened and each of the tailored requests.
As the bride, I can tell you my makeup stayed put all night and looked beautiful. She really nailed my vision of old Hollywood glam and I cannot wait to see the photos captured by Anastasiia Photography to relive the day!

We were absolutely blown away by Elizabeth. Not only was she fun, she was quick, consistant and gave great beauty tips while doing my makeup. My bridesmaids and family just loved her. Elizabeth made me look like a model! I wear very little makeup so I really researched makeup companies that emphasize a stepped-up natural look. I can't say enough wonderful things about working with Melissa and Pop of Color! When I met Melissa at our trial, I knew her energy was what I wanted on my wedding day: positivity, calm, just a great presence. Melissa really listened to what I wanted for my makeup look, and I think she really gets how to do wedding makeup that looks formal and beautiful in photos but also not crazy really close up through all the hugging! On my wedding day Melissa and her team were wonderful to spend time with - all my bridesmaids loved their makeup and everyone looked so gorgeous. I reached out to Pop of color late at night weeks before my wedding when my original make up artist doubled her price last minute. I had peace of mind THAT NIGHT before bed. The response time was amazing but not nearly as amazing as the trial and day itself. Melissa made everyone feel comfortable and helped both my mother and myself feel comfortable in our make up...which is scary if you don't wear make up regularly! My mom's look was really natural but held up all night and looked amazing in photos! Mine was a littler darker (per my request) but she did an amazing job picking out colors to go with my fair skin and that made my eyes really pop! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Truly, it was amazing to feel perfectly beautiful for our celebration and to LOOK as good as I felt in all my photos.

If you are getting married in the Asheville area, Pop of Color is a no brainer. I reached out to many other hair/makeup stylists and Melissa was by far the best. This is a one stop shop. Savannah did an incredible job on our hair. She was fast and super talented. Talicia did our makeup. As soon as Talicia walked into the room and I saw her flawless beautiful skin I knew we were in good hands. You can tell she’s a perfectionist and I’m still getting emails from wedding guests asking what was that “glowing blush” she put on my cheeks. Lots of things on our wedding night went wrong except for our hair and makeup. I can’t reccomend these women enough.

Melissa is fantastic. I am generally very particular about my makeup. In the past, I haven't had good luck with other people painting up my face for events and photographs, but Melissa's aesthetic instincts and mirror-side manner are excellent.
The look was both glamorous and natural. The pictures came out great. And the makeup lasted all day.
Plus, she's delightful - funny, engaging, and somehow relaxing at the same time. Working with Melissa was a great experience. I highly recommend her and Pop of Color.

Elizabeth Hayward is the most amazing make-up artist and a pleasure to work with! You would be crazy to not have her do your make-up! I still am in awe at my wedding make-up. Not only was it flawless and exactly what I asked for, it lasted for over 9 hours through the hottest outdoor ceremony. I felt so natural and beautiful. She also went out of her way to find the lip color that I was looking for. She is organized, a perfectionist, and the sweetest- all the vibes you need on your big day.

Melisa is a true artist! She did a wonderful job on me and all of my bridal party, including my grandmother. Everyone looked stunning. She was able to work on each person to bring out their best features. My wedding day put Melissa's work to the test - we had a rainy wedding day outside, BUT it held up beautifully all through the day and night. Pictures turned out great as well. On top of her talent, she is easy going and fun to work with. I definitely recommend Melissa!

Elizabeth Hayward did my wedding makeup and was an absolute pleasure to work with! She listened to what my bridesmaid and I wanted and gave us just that. She is sweet and laid back and super fun to talk to. When we suggested to get our makeup done outside on the front porch she was all about it! Never in my entire life have I felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day thanks to the incredible job Melissa did with my makeup. She did an amazing job with my mom and bridesmaids too. Seeing my mom all night, I kept thinking she looked 20 years younger! She was accommodating to everyone's styles and needs too which I'm sure is not an easy task. Not only that but I truly enjoyed spending time with her on the morning of the wedding when everything can be pretty chaotic. She was so sweet and calming to be around. I highly, highly recommend her!

Elizabeth Hayward with Pop of color was just so great! She nailed my bridal look like a boss! I felt so natural and so beautiful, and it lasted Forever! From the moment I met her and had my trial I felt like I was in good hands. After my trial I wanted to alter my look and she was in constant communication. She did 2 of my bridesmaids as well, and we all looked so good! Her personality was fun and calming. I couldn't have asked for a better artist or look. Melissa was incredible. I think a problem with most brides is looking overdone on their wedding day. I believe it’s an art to find that balance of looking natural and also looking good in photos. Melissa found that balance! She gave me exactly what I wanted. She was very fast and accommodating to my bridesmaids… she also didn’t mind me throwing in a last minute mother-of-the-bride makeup. I felt beautiful and natural all day. The products she used felt wonderful on my skin and the makeup lasted until I took it off that night! No touchup was required (except the occasional lip gloss). Melissa was also a delight to be around all day. She is so very sweet and professional. For the service Melissa provided I thought the price point was perfect. You’d be crazy not to hire her!! :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fine vendor! Melissa was professional, prompt with email responses and communication, receptive to my make-up desires, and TALENTED! Our trial run was so enjoyable; she asked plenty of questions to learn about my ideal look, and gave my non-flawless skin a flawless and natural glow! I've had numerous friends and family compliment me on my wedding day make-up. If given another opportunity to need professional make-up done, I'll be seeing Melissa again.
On my wedding day, I found out something entirely non-make-up related about Melissa that I love. While everyone and everything was chaotic and frenzied in my bridal party's getting ready space, Melissa was a calm and peaceful presence. She helped me have a bit of rest-time in between all the day's excitement.

I had a wonderful experience with Pop of Color for my October 25th wedding in Asheville. Melissa was quick to respond and it was very easy to secure hair and makeup for my big day. Although Melissa was already booked for that weekend, she set me up with another one of her make up artists, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was outstanding!! I knew as soon as she walked through the door she was going to be amazing! Elizabeth did my make up and my three bridesmaids. She was very experienced and knew exactly what she was doing. She had a great sense of humor and was very professional. My bridesmaids and I loved her and work! I would use Elizabeth again and I highly recommend her!!
Pop of Color also provided us with our hair stylist, Zhenya. Zhenya knocked it out of the park!! She did my hair and my three bridesmaids, we all looked phenomenal! Zhenya was very experienced and how she is able to do all that hair so fast is beyond me. I would absolutely use Zhenya again and would highly recommend her!
Elizabeth and Zhenya made my day perfect! Their fun loving personalities and the passion they both have for their craft came through in the finished products. They truly care and want every bride and bridesmaid to feel and look beautiful. They really added another layer of excitement to a highly anticipated event!

OMG! I cannot express how happy and amazed I was with Melissa!!! I am one of those girls, that's always weary of getting their makeup done, every time I feel like it's way too much makeup, you end leaving like a cake or a clown. That is not the case with Melissa!!!!! She did such an amazing job, I seriously couldn't have been happier. She uses amazing products that don't feel heavy or cakey on your face but really do stay on all day long! I have oily skin, so i was worried, it would just slip right off in a couple of hours, nope! It stayed all night long. My bridesmaids loved her, my mom and MIL loved her, she did an amazing job of everyone! I know that I am rambling, but that's because she just made me wedding day so simple and easy! I never had to keep getting touched up, or checking myself in the mirror, because I knew I looked flawless. And that's something you really want on your wedding day, you don't want to worry about your face or makeup. Do yourself a favor and hire her! I'm just bummed I live in Miami and I can't call her anytime I need her!!

I had Melissa do my hair and make-up for maternity pictures. We had traveled to the area from Florida and I really liked the work on her website. Being pregnant, I found myself feeling frumpy and not very pretty. When Melissa was done, I felt amazing! She did such a good job on my hair and amazing job with my make-up. I wanted more of a dramatic look instead of soft, and she pulled it off perfectly. I brought in a few pictures from Pinterest, and I'm pretty sure my make-up looked better then the picture. She was so sweet and we talked the entire time. I am so glad I decided to go with Melissa to do my hair and make-up. It is a shame we live so far away or I would be using her more often. Thanks Melissa for making me feel so pretty and special. My pictures turned out awesome!

OMG! Melissa was AMAZING! From the very moment we spoke on the phone, I knew she was going to be awesome. She was so friendly, easy to work with, and fantastic at what she does - it was perfect! She took the time to ask about my skin, what look I wanted, what I usually do with my makeup, scheduled a trial, etc. She was just wonderful.
She showed up on time, took her time with each person and did such an amazing job. Everyone loved her! She's super sweet and so funny, she's enjoyable to be around.
The makeup lasted all day (12 hours) even through sweat and tears! Everyone said I looked incredible and the makeup didn't look gaudy or costumey at all - very natural. She's awesome and I recommend her to everyone!! I wish she could do my makeup everyday :) I'm so grateful to her for making me look and feel so beautiful on my big day.

I used Melissa for my wedding day make up. She was absolutely amazing and did such a great job for our wedding day! We had a trail run which I used for my bridal portraits. The day of the wedding, Melissa came out to the venue and did an amazing job with my make up. My eyes were my favorite part! I used fake lashes for the first time and they looked great. The make up lasted all night long and everyone was complimenting how great it looked. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone in the area!

She was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. The make up looked beautiful in my pictures but I did not feel like I was overdone. It was perfect. Highly recommend Elizabeth! I can't say enough about how happy I was with Jennifer's work on my wedding make up! It stayed in place, she listened and did exactly what I wanted, and the photos look great as a result. I was worried about acne spots showing through make up, but she made my skin look flawless. The make up she used also stayed in place all night (it was a job trying to get it all off lol but that's what you want when it comes to a wedding!). Our wedding had to be planned in 3 weeks due of unforeseen schedule changes. It was not until the last minute that I realized I did not have anyone to do my make-up! Melissa was recommended by another make-up artist who was already booked. I contacted her less than 2 weeks before our wedding and she was able to fit me in. When I could not find a hair stylist, she told me that she has done hair on some occasions and she would be happy to do my hair. Her prices were very reasonable so I agreed. I am not what you would call a "girly-girl" but sent her 2 pictures of what I generally wanted. With little guidance from me, Melissa magically transformed me into a beautiful bride - everything was perfect. Everyone wanted to know who did my hair and make-up! Melissa was professional, made me feel comfortable, and provided high quality service, yet she was fun and down to earth! I recommend her highly!!!!

I first met Melissa when she did my makeup for my wedding reception (my husband and I eloped). She did such a wonderful job that I have recommended to her to family and friends who have also utilized her gift for making women look and feel beautiful on their special occasions. Although she does great work for weddings, she also can help you get the perfect look for occasions such as family photos. Melissa is fun and professional, with a natural eye for beauty.

I recently got married in Cashiers, NC, and am SO glad that I found Melissa! She was flexible and helpful during the entire process leading up to my wedding day. My mom and I traveled to Asheville for a trial run, and Melissa was so sweet to work with my schedule as we were coming from out of town. I wanted a super laid back wedding day leading up to the ceremony, and Melissa definitely made that happen! She and her assistant did a fabulous job. I absolutely loved my makeup, and it looked great in our wedding photos, too! She also did makeup for my mom and sister, and they looked beautiful as well- like themselves with a little extra "pop." Our experience with Melissa was a GREAT one, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who is easy and fun to work with, but also really knows what she is doing when it comes to makeup. :)
